153 How Hard to Gain True Affection From the World

I expect to see You    and not to part with You

Though created by You    today I cannot always cling to You

I have been corrupted    and extremely afflicted    making You humiliated so much

Who could understand You

Walking with blood and tears step by step    suffering the hardships year by year

You spread Your love upon the world    surpassing the heart of a loving mother

You share tribulations with man    and endure the pain of being lonely and rejected

Who could care for You

Calling time after time    expecting day after day

You pour out Your all    only for gaining man’s love

What a pity that even today    how hard to gain true affection from the world

Who could comfort You

Falling down before You    I’m so overwhelmed with grief as to wish to die

With so much self-reproach    so much guilt and indebtedness

How to make up for my trespasses    I regret why I didn’t care for Your heart at that time

Why I disappointed You

You leave in the world    all Your ardent love

The charge before parting    has been deeply engraved in my heart

My heart desires nothing    but only wishes to be faithful to You wholeheartedly    Ah
