346 To Love God Is My Duty

I

God loves me up to this day, but I’ve just found Him lovely.

When I recall the past, tears stream down my face.

I believe in God, but why didn’t I know whom a man with a heart should love?

How much precious time I have wasted!

Your word illuminating me today, I realize I am so conscienceless.

My former pursuit was full of extravagant desires.

I never cared for Your will, but always made demands of You.

I did not know to pursue the truth and repay Your love.

II

God humbles Himself in the flesh and undergoes all undeserved sufferings,

working with patience to save me.

I hate that I’m really so disobedient, with no conscience or sense.

I have failed my duty as a man.

I’m unworthy to enjoy God’s love; how can I still hesitate?

I’ll pursue the truth and repay God’s love,

regain the lost time to make up for my indebtedness.

I only desire to love God genuinely and fulfill my duty as a man.

I’m unworthy to enjoy God’s love; how can I still hesitate?

I’ll pursue the truth and repay God’s love,

regain the lost time to make up for my indebtedness.

I only desire to love God genuinely and fulfill my duty as a man.
