672 God’s Trials of Man Are to Purify Them

Verse 1

What man seeks in believing in God

is to win His blessings for the future.

Everyone has this goal and hope,

but their corruption must be corrected through trials.

Pre-chorus 1

The parts of you that are not purified,

these are the traits that must be refined.

This is God’s design.

Chorus

God creates situations that force you to be refined,

so you can understand your own corruption.

You finally reach a point when you would rather die,

lose your schemes and desires, and submit,

submit to God’s rule and arrangement.

Verse 2

Whoever does not go through many years

of tests that lead him toward refinement,

and anyone who has not endured

a certain amount of suffering will fail.

Pre-chorus 2

They will not rid themselves

from corruption of the flesh in their hearts,

in their hearts and heads.

Chorus

God creates situations that force you to be refined,

so you can understand your own corruption.

You finally reach a point when you would rather die,

lose your schemes and desires, and submit,

submit to God’s rule and arrangement, and arrangement.

Bridge

In whatever parts you’re bound by Satan,

whatever desires you hold, whatever demands you cling to,

this is where, this is where you will suffer.

Outro

People can learn lessons, gain the truth

and grasp God’s will only through painful trials.

No one can see God’s power and wisdom,

or appreciate God’s righteousness when things are easy.

When they are too comfortable,

when things are too favorable, it would be impossible.
