94. The Principles of Cultivating and Making Use of People

1. You must elevate and cultivate those who sincerely believe in God, who pursue the truth, who have a sense of righteousness, who have a good humanity, and who have the work of the Holy Spirit;

2. If good people who have been previously replaced truly repent and are able to do practical work, they may be elected and once again elevated;

3. So long as new believers who have only believed for one or two years have a good humanity, a good caliber and they pursue the truth, then they may be cultivated at the earliest opportunity;

4. As for those who have transgressed, who are arrogant and self-important, but who are able to pursue the truth and truly repent, so long as they are able to do practical work, then they may be elected and elevated.

In selecting a person to serve Him, God always has His own principles. Serving God is absolutely not, as people imagine it to be, simply a matter of enthusiasm. Today you see how whosoever serves God in His presence does so with the guidance of God and the work of the Holy Spirit; they are people who pursue the truth. These are the minimum requirements that all who serve God must have.

The Man’s Fellowship:

Those without the truth cannot see through anything. Whether or not someone is worth cultivating and can be used depends primarily on two aspects: Firstly, it depends on whether or not they pursue the truth, whether or not they can practice the truth and whether or not they enter into reality; secondly, one must clearly distinguish whether or not they have a normal humanity in nature, whether or not they have conscience and reason, what type of person they are and what path they follow—this is also a key aspect. The church’s cultivation and use of people depends primarily on whether or not they pursue the truth—this is the most basic principle for evaluating people. This is because whether someone pursues the truth or not explains many issues, and whether they follow the right path or an evil path is thereby revealed. Whether or not their faith in God is practical and they walk the right path is also revealed, as is what nature they possess. Therefore, whether or not someone can pursue the truth explains many issues; if they truly are someone who pursues the truth, then they will most certainly have a comparatively good humanity, they will certainly follow the right path, and they will certainly be a relatively kind person. Therefore, God’s family repeatedly emphasizes the need to select and use those who genuinely pursue the truth as leaders—this is meaningful. Nobody is perfect, everyone has their shortcomings, and when evaluating someone you must consider the main aspects: 1) Do they have a good caliber? 2) Do they have resolution? 3) Do they have a sense of justice? If someone can pursue the truth, then their small shortcomings or transgressions are not considered a problem, for amongst corrupt mankind, they are considered as having the makings of a good person. It’s not a big deal that those who have the makings of a good person committed transgressions, for as long as they are truly someone who pursues the truth, then their transgressions are all resolvable. When evaluating someone, don’t pick hairs or judge them on their appearance; you must look at their essence, and this is key. The first great work of God’s family is to find people who genuinely have a good caliber, who pursue the truth and who are capable, arrange a suitable place for them in the church, and then supply and cultivate them well. When all levels of leaders and workers in the church enter onto the right track of belief in God, God’s chosen people follow suit.

The main grounds for cultivating and selecting people are that they must possess humanity and be pursuers of the truth, and they must also possess a certain caliber. If they are able to fellowship new light and true knowledge, and it can be ascertained that they have the work of the Holy Spirit, then they may be cultivated and used.

Especially for those leaders and workers who have been dismissed and replaced in the past, some of them with relatively good humanity have turned into people who love the truth and pursue the truth. These people really do understand some truths, they possess some reality….

In using and cultivating people, God’s house only selects people with relatively good humanity, that is, people who love positive things and pursue the truth. Such people may have done some transgressions and evil deeds in their past, but as they display true repentance, and their life disposition, thoughts and deeds continue to renew and change through accepting God’s work, God won’t hold them to their past transgressions. A person who pursues the truth and displays repentance is precisely the type of person God’s house chooses to use. A person who pursues the truth and can truly obey God’s work is precisely the type of person God perfects. If in your belief of God you do not seek the truth, then even if you do not appear to be transgressing, you are still not a truly good person.

All those who really pursue the truth and are able to achieve certain results in fellowshiping the truth are qualified to become leaders at all levels of God’s house. They only need to be ordinary in other regards, and even if they had occasional transgressions in the past, as long as these don’t recur God’s house will not hold them accountable. As long as they can really understand the truth, are able to use the truth to resolve issues, and can lead others to enter into the truth, then they can be selected as leaders for all levels in God’s house. This will propel all of God’s chosen people to do their best to pursue the truth and attain salvation from God. This also embodies God’s justice and fairness, allowing us to see that God’s house is completely fair in its treatment of people. Regardless of the transgressions they committed, as long as they are not evil-doers, they are not being worked on by evil spirits, they are not deceitful or absurd people, they are able to do their best in pursuing the truth, and they are equipped with the ability to use the truth to resolve issues, then they can all be used by God.

Can a new believer who has a relatively good humanity, but who does not have the truth, be a leader? They cannot be a leader. To be a leader, they must have at least around one year under their belt. Only after they have equipped themselves with the truth and experienced God’s work for around one year can they then see the path forward and truly understand some truths, and it is more fitting for them to become a leader in this way. If it is discovered that a new believer who has believed in God for six months or a year has a great humanity and fervently pursues the truth, then they should be cultivated and trained to do their duty—this is appropriate.

People with good caliber who quickly accept the truth and have strong ability to work must be chosen to serve at the various levels of leadership and as the workers for the church. Even if these people have arrogant dispositions, are over-anxious for the status and have average humanity, so long as they are able to pursue the truth, so long as they are able to accept the dealing and pruning of the house of God, and so long as they are able to truly repent for their transgressions, then they are absolutely able to be fostered and gradually promoted into important positions.
