The Truth One Must Enter Into to Achieve Dispositional Change and Expressions of Dispositional Change

The Several Aspects of the Truth One Must Enter Into to Achieve Dispositional Change

God’s work of the last days is to perfect man. To accept God’s perfection, man must pursue the truth and enter into the truth—this is the most crucial point. Last time we communicated the five aspects of the truth one must enter into and practice to achieve dispositional change. These five aspects of the truth are the most fundamental truths, and if you have entered into all of them, you can be said to have achieved salvation and perfection. So, let’s further discuss these five aspects of the truth.

The first aspect is the issue of turning your heart to God. Turning your heart to God is a truth a believer in God must enter into. Man can believe in God, believe in God’s work, and believe in God’s words, but this does not mean that their heart has turned to God. No matter how truly someone believes in God, it does not mean that their heart has turned to God. So what does turning to God mean? A lot of people say: “I believe in God, so aren’t I a person who has turned to God?” You believe in God and have joined the church; from the outside, it seems you have turned to God. But after you joined the church, you might still betray God if God has not gained your heart. Isn’t that true? It is. Additionally, after believing in God, people can live a normal church life and eat and drink God’s word normally, but they cannot practice the truth and obey God. So, have they turned their heart to God? If someone cannot practice the truth and does not truly obey God, then this is sufficient to prove that their heart has not turned to God. The reality of turning to God refers to someone being able to properly practice God’s words and properly pray to God, worship God and obey God. Only that is truly living before God, and only a person truly living before God is someone who is truly living in God’s word. Only such a person has turned their heart to God. There are many who believe in God but have not given their hearts to Him. Where are their hearts? On worldly things. Some people pursue worldly things; some people worship the celebrities and great men in the world; some people worship idols; some follow worldly trends; and some seek wealth, status and fame. If someone engages in these kinds of behaviors, it proves their heart has not turned to God. A heart that has not turned to God is a heart that has not been given to God. If a person has not given their heart to God, then does God have a place in their heart? If God does not have a place in their heart, then are they someone who has been gained by God? If God does not have a place in their heart, it shows they are only paying lip service to believing in God, but they do not magnify God in their heart or let God take charge in them. This proves that their heart has not turned to God. So what behaviors does someone whose heart has turned to God exhibit? Understanding this is quite important. First, they can accept and obey God’s work. Second, when eating and drinking God’s words, they are able to earnestly seek the truth and enter into God’s words in a down-to-earth manner. Third, they can pray to God and seek to grasp God’s will in everything, and can entrust to God whatever difficulties they run into. Fourth, their heart will not leave God under any circumstances and they will never say things that deny God; no matter how Satan tempts them, they will stand on God’s side and reject Satan. These are the behaviors of someone whose heart has turned to God. Some people, after believing in God, are unable to truly obey God’s work, don’t have any interest in church life, and cannot accept the words of God’s judgment and chastisement in their hearts. That they engage in such behaviors proves that their hearts have not turned to God. People who have turned their hearts to God can be said to have truly consecrated themselves—they have completely offered themselves to God, and no matter what God does or how God leads them, they obey God and never leave God. This is most important. For some people, the more trials they encounter the more they doubt God; the more misfortune they encounter the more they doubt God. Such people have no knowledge of God’s work. If a person has no knowledge of God’s work, it becomes easy for them to have doubts and complaints toward God during trials, and they grumble and complain about God even more when any misfortune or disaster befalls them. People always use their own reasoning. They think: “Why do disasters happen to me when I truly believe in God this much? Why does misfortune befall me when I truly believe in God this much?” Tell me, how come people who truly believe in God also encounter misfortune? This is called a trial. This is God’s love. This is an opportunity to be perfected by God. When a person is pruned and dealt with, isn’t that God’s love? It is God’s love, and it is also an opportunity to be perfected by God, an opportunity for dispositional change. This is the best experience possible! Have you experienced pruning and being dealt with? Some have experienced it, while others have not. If after being pruned and dealt with, someone is able to refrain from complaining and can also accept it from God and obey God then this is obeying the work of God. No matter what disaster or misfortune someone encounters, if they have no complaints toward God and believe that it is God’s love coming upon them and they say “God is trying me to see if I have true faith. This is God testing my faith. This is God refining me, cleansing me, to see if I have any disobedience or resistance inside me,” if someone has such an understanding, then they have grasped God’s intentions. Some people who don’t love the truth and only like grace say: “I believe in God. What God bestows upon me should all be grace and benefits. If I encounter any misfortune or disaster, then that shows that God is not good to me, He does not love me, He wants to eliminate me, or perhaps I was cursed by God because of some transgression of mine and this is God’s curse befalling me.” Is this understanding correct? No, it is not. Regardless of whether God lets us encounter grace or what man perceives as misfortune, it can all be said to be God cleansing us, saving us, and changing us. This is something that must be understood. The most important thing about turning your heart to God is to have true faith in God. No matter what God does, your heart does not leave God, betray God or complain about God, and this is a mark that your heart has turned to God. The issue of how to turn your heart to God is absolutely crucial and must first be resolved. So what truths must be possessed in order to achieve turning your heart to God? The main ones are to have knowledge of God’s work, to have knowledge of how God saves people, and to be clear on the purpose and meaning of our believing in God. If you are clear on these three aspects of the truth, then the issue of how to turn your heart to God will be easy for you to resolve. …

The second aspect of the truth that one must enter into to achieve dispositional change is the truth of being an honest person. Being an honest person is also not easy and cannot be accomplished by relying on oneself. I only achieved some results after years of experience. According to your imagination, it’s quite easy to be an honest person, but imagination is not reality. In your imagination you can think: “I won’t lie, I won’t do deceitful things, I’ll be trustworthy, I won’t be crooked or cunning in my heart, and I won’t have ulterior motives—this should be easy to do!” But it’s not easy in practice. You may be able to practice it today, but tomorrow you may fail. You may practice it when it comes to one thing, but you can’t practice it when it comes to everything, right? You should have all experienced this before. Is it easy to not have your own motives and aims regarding everything? Is it easy to not have your own motives and aims, to have satisfying God as your only purpose, and to be fair and impartial to everyone? None of this is easy. One must undergo some sufferings, some disciplines and instances of pruning, be exposed, judged and chastised by God’s words, and in the end fail a few times, fall a few times, learn their lessons, and see that what they did had no truth and, that all God does is good, and that practicing the truth is so meaningful. Once it gets to this point, it will become much easier for a person to practice the truth. Everyone has enthusiasm inside them and wants to be an honest person, say honest things, and be loyal toward God, but in practice they care more about the flesh, have selfish thoughts, have personal intentions and motives, and always want to satisfy their own desires. What problems can we see in this? On the one hand, we can see that mankind in general is too selfish; on the other, when a person has personal intentions and motives, they appear very despicable. Selfishness and despicableness are extremely difficult to deal with. If a person is too selfish, they are capable of all kinds of bad things. If a person is not selfish, then everything is easy and simple for them to do. If you let a truly honest person do something, it will not be strenuous for them, because they are not selfish. For them, right is right, wrong is wrong, and they do it however it should be done so they’ll feel it’s very light and easy. It’s not the same when a selfish person does things. They have to make a clearly simple thing very complicated, very cumbersome, and they are always devious. Why are they devious? Because they have ulterior motives. They can’t achieve their ulterior motives without being devious. Once they are devious, they make the thing different and the effects are not good: God is not satisfied, the person feels their conscience accuses them, and people who witness their actions also feel disgusted. You see, this person with a selfish and despicable nature isn’t just loathsome to other people but also despises themselves. After doing this kind of thing, their conscience will persistently feel reproached and when they read God’s words they’ll feel God is judging and chastising them, and the Holy Spirit is also judging, disciplining and reproaching them. They will feel great pain inside and think: “Why did I do this? Why am I so corrupt? Why couldn’t I practice the truth?” After being exposed through this matter, they will know what it means to be selfish and despicable, arrogant and self-right, disobedient to God, or reckless, and what are the selfish desires of the flesh—all of these things will become clear to them. They used to always say they were honest. Now, through the things they have encountered, they see their deceitful and crooked behaviors, what inappropriate motives they have, their own characters, and in just what areas they are crooked and deceitful—all of these are also clear to them. So in the course of experience, when your flesh disobeys God it is precisely the opportunity for God to expose you, and also the opportunity for you to know your own corrupt substance. That’s how you get to know your own corrupt substance—when something happens to you and you disobey God, don’t practice the truth, only think about yourself, and only care about your flesh, that’s when God exposes you so that you can see your true colors. You used to not know in what things you would betray God and in what things you would act perfunctorily toward God and fool Him, but now you do and you say: “This time I see the fact. In this kind of thing I disobeyed God and had no loyalty toward God, always caring about the flesh and relying on myself, and not obeying God at all.” When such a thing happens, people will know their own corrupt substance and see their true state. What kind of outcome will this lead to? People will start to despise themselves a little. They used to think they were pretty good, but now they see they are indeed quite corrupt and don’t have any humanity, conscience, or sense. They will say: “I used to think I was quite good, but only now do I realize I am so corrupt. This time I have seen my true colors. This time I’ve come to know my own nature and substance.” When people achieve such an outcome, they will start to despise and loathe themselves. Furthermore, they will also know how to be considerate of God’s heart and what it means to obey God, and so they can pray to God: “Oh God, I see that my flesh is too disobedient toward You. With regard to such matters, from now on I will surely practice obeying You to satisfy You. If I can’t achieve this, may You curse me, chastise me and punish me. Whatever You want to do is fine with me.” After such a prayer, if they encounter this kind of matter again they will have true entry and be able to practice the truth, or at least practice it much better than last time and not fail to the extent of the previous time. This is the true experience of life entry, the true process of a person’s dispositional change. A complete change cannot be accomplished after just one failure. They might need to suffer several failures before achieving the change in the end. … So, in future when you discover that you have revealed whatever corruption, don’t be negative. Don’t say: “Why is the truth so hard to enter into? Why is it so hard to enter into reality? Why is it so hard to be an honest person? Why is it so hard to obey God?” These are all what a foolish person would say, not a person who has had experiences. The key to being an honest person is to first guard your heart; don’t have ulterior motives but be pure in your heart—that’s paramount. As soon as a person has ulterior motives it becomes easy for them to lie, deceive, cheat and fool around. If they don’t have ulterior motives in their heart but only aim to satisfy God, then everything will be simple and easy. Their words and actions will be straightforward—right is right, wrong is wrong, and they won’t lie, practice deceit, or be perfunctory and slipshod at all. Isn’t all what we’ve mentioned a matter of the heart? So first pray to God, ask for God to protect your heart from ulterior motives and for your heart to be ruled by God and to have satisfying God as its goal. That way, your heart will be pure, and once your heart is pure you will tell no lies. Practice this when problems befall you in the future: First pray to God, devote your heart to God, let your heart be ruled by God, and don’t have any individual ulterior motives in your heart. Then you won’t have to be evasive and you’ll be able to speak straightforwardly, speak whatever is in your heart, and do things without crookedness, deceit, or cheating. Turning your heart to God is the most crucial and fundamental part of being an honest person. If someone’s heart has turned to God, they will be able to be an honest person, but if their heart still belongs to the flesh, then they cannot be an honest person. If a person’s heart is upright, is all devoted to satisfying God, and truly loves God, then it is easy for them to obey God and practice the truth, and acting in accordance with God’s requirements will not feel strenuous or be considered difficult. Actually, practicing the truth isn’t difficult, so where does the difficulty lie? The difficulty is in the flesh. Man’s flesh always has extravagant desires and personal motives, and it is these things that disrupt you from practicing the truth. These things are the root of the problem. It is very troublesome when a person has these things inside them. Every time you express corruption, are crooked and deceitful, lie, or act perfunctorily, look into the root cause of why you did this thing, deeply inspecting just what directed you to do such a thing. After inspecting a few times, you will realize: “Oh, at the time I had an ulterior motive, a certain thought, and so I did it or said it that way.” It is easy to discover the root of the problem if you inspect like this. So tell me, is it hard to be an honest person? It isn’t. If you have a path, you won’t think it’s hard, and you won’t think it’s hard no matter how many times you may fail in the future. Remember: You will make progress every year and reap a productive harvest every month.

The third aspect of the truth one must enter into to achieve dispositional change is the truth of obeying God. What does obeying God refer to? At this current stage, it mainly refers to three aspects: Obeying the work of God, accepting God’s words, and obeying all the arrangements of the house of God. If you truly have entered into these three aspects, then you have the reality of obeying God, and after you understand many truths you will be able to practice the truth in all things and you will be a person who is completely obedient to God. Are you now clear on what obeying God means? At this stage, what are the main manifestations of obeying God? The most important thing is obeying God’s work. And what does obeying God’s work refer to? It refers to obeying God’s trials and refinement, the pruning and dealings from God, and obeying God’s judgment and chastisement. Additionally, obeying the guidance and arrangements of the Holy Spirit is also obeying God. You should obey no matter what God’s words say and no matter how God’s way of working changes or how harsh His trials are—only that is obeying God’s work. Obeying God’s work does not only refer to living the church life and eating and drinking God’s words. If you can only live the church life and eat and drink God’s words, but you can’t obey once you encounter trials or misfortune or suffer some refinement, then that does not qualify as obeying God’s work. If some people can’t accept God’s words of judgment and chastisement because they see these words are very stern or develop notions toward some of them, then that’s not obeying God’s work. When some people read God’s words, they only pick the passages they can accept and give up on those they can’t accept. Such people still have resistance to God inside them and are not truly obeying God. Are there still parts of God’s words you can’t accept or have notions about? God speaks in many different ways—some ways people can accept and other ways people find hard to accept. How should you deal with God’s words that people can easily develop notions or disobedience and resistance toward? Can you accept them and obey them? You don’t understand these words or feel suffering inside when you hear them, but if you can be obedient and pray in your heart: “Oh God, these are Your words. Though listening to them pierces my heart, makes me suffer, and they are hard to accept, I will still obey and not have any notions,” if you can do so, this is a display of obedience to God’s work. For instance, when you encounter a trial that does not match your conceptions, or when a non-believing relative of yours dies, if you pray and say: “Oh God, even though this thing that has happened to me makes my heart suffer, I know it happened with Your permission and I shall obey You without complaint,” if you can pray like this, it means you can obey God’s work. If you can only obey the work of God that matches your conceptions, and if His work or something that doesn’t match your conceptions comes upon you and you don’t obey and you have resistance and rejection inside, or you don’t admit it is God’s work, this means you still have disobedience and resistance to God inside. This proves you cannot completely obey God’s work and can only obey a part of it. If it conforms with your notions you accept and obey it, and if it doesn’t conform with your conceptions and imaginings you disobey, resist, judge, have notions about it, and don’t accept it—this is your disobedience. If a person is in such a state, it proves that they still cannot completely obey God’s work. They can’t completely obey God’s work and can only obey work that conforms with human conceptions. Such a person cannot be perfected. Why? Because the disobedience and resistance inside them is not easy to be changed. Furthermore, they experience God’s work in this way—that is just obeying work that conforms with human conceptions—and so they will never have true knowledge of God. A person who cannot have true knowledge of God doesn’t have a heart that fears God. In addition, they will never be transformed in the areas of disobedience and resistance inside them, and they will never be perfected. This is their flaw. … Therefore, obeying God’s work is a truth a person must enter into. If one can obey God’s work then they can achieve salvation and perfection. The main behavior of a person who has been perfected by God is being able to truly obey God. When a person can be truly obedient to God, this proves that they have been perfected by God, gained by God. If a person does not have true obedience to God, then that is sufficient to prove that they have not been perfected and gained by God. Obeying God’s work is the reality one must enter into to obey God.

The fourth aspect of the truth one must enter into to achieve dispositional change is to, through understanding the truth and entering into the truth, achieve a fundamental change in their points of view. If a person’s perspectives change, this proves that they understand the truth. If their points of view remain the same as worldly people, then this proves they have not gained the truth. … A change in a person’s perspectives means they have the truth, and after they gain the truth they can see the substance and root of anything clearly. What does this bring them? They will know how to deal with things, how to handle issues, and how to face problems. For example, you have seen through the material world and see clearly that worldly trends are evil and that the world is dark. Then how do you deal with this world? You will reject this world and say: “I have seen through this world and all mankind. I don’t have a common language with people who belong to this world and I despise this world in my heart. So I reject this world and won’t follow worldly trends anymore. I have broken away from this world. This world does not belong to me. I only live my church life and keep in contact with brothers and sisters in the house of God.” You can achieve this outcome after you have seen through the world. If you have not seen through the world, you will see the world like unbelievers do and say: “Oh, this world is so beautiful, so wonderful. Living in this world is quite enjoyable. This new trend is quite good so I should follow it. I should keep up with all worldly trends.” Your points of view will be like unbelievers; you will surely still live in this world and follow the world. Do you see through the world now? Once you do, it will be impossible for you to lust after worldly things again. Have you seen through the world’s politicians, leaders and rulers? Who do they belong to? They don’t belong to God, because first, they don’t worship God; second, they don’t believe in God or accept God’s work; third, they’re nowhere near close to knowing God. Can a person who does not believe in God or accept God’s work obey God? That’s impossible, so they naturally belong to Satan. Anything that is part of a worldly trend belongs to Satan and comes from Satan. That’s why the politicians and leaders of the world engage in politics, deception, and conspiracies all day and every day. Not a word from their mouths is true; you don’t even know where the things they say come from or why they say them. Nobody can figure them out. In doing everything they are too shrewd and deep, trying to claim two birds with one stone or three birds with one stone, unable to be seen through by anyone. Even if they tell you why they are doing what they are doing, it’s not the whole picture and they are only telling you one small part while concealing the rest. The truth behind their deeds may only be exposed many years later. How treacherous and deceitful are these devils? Their faces don’t show real expressions since they are so deceitful. You can never get to the bottom of their actions; you can never figure them out. How terrible these devils, these politicians, are! Once a person becomes a specialist, then they have made it big, they are a big deal and after that they can’t be figured out by anyone. We’re all as honest as foolish children—do you dare to do battle with the devil? You can’t outdo them; they’ll sell you out and you won’t even know what happened. Only by seeing their nature and substance clearly will we know how to deal with them. If you can’t see through their substance you will continue to worship them, follow them, and blindly believe in them.

If you obey God’s work, before you know it, you will understand the truth and your perspectives will have changed. This is not something people can do as it is due to God. Through communicating the truth and reading God’s words, we now have knowledge of the world, knowledge of corrupt mankind in the world, knowledge of the devil Satan and especially the great red dragon, and knowledge of the nature and substance of various evil spirits. We also have knowledge of how God saves people, some knowledge of God’s disposition, some knowledge of God’s work and management plan, as well as some understanding of the aspects of truth God requires man to enter into and some insight into how to live a true life. Tell me, isn’t it the result of God’s work that people can achieve entry into and gains on these truths? This is the result achieved by God’s work. All we did was cooperate a little, live the church life, eat and drink God’s words, pray to God, communicate the truth and get to know ourselves, listen to sermons, accept the moving of the Holy Spirit, have aspirations, be able to love the truth, and be willing to pursue the truth and pay the price. And in the end, before we even knew it, we understood some truths and some of our perspectives changed. After these points of view changed, we understood just how to live in this world for life to have meaning, and just how we should treat this world, how to face humankind, how to use wisdom, how to pursue the truth, and how to follow God. Look, don’t you know how to handle these things now? People’s knowledge of how to deal with and practice these things is all due to the result of their understanding of some truths. Understanding truth changes our perspectives and makes us able to see through to the substance and root of many things, so that we will know how to face them, how to deal with them, how to resolve them, and how to practice. Therefore, the biggest aid to changing one’s points of view is to pursue the truth. The more truth you understand, the more your points of view change. If you want to see through everything and thoroughly change your perspectives on everything then you must do your utmost to pursue the truth. The more truth you understand, the more things you can see through, and the more things you see through, the less you will be restrained. For all things, you will have a path to practice, you will know which path to choose, how to obey God, and how to walk the path in front of you. This is the result of pursuing the truth. The changing of one’s perspectives involves the issue of entering the truth and also involves the issue of dispositional change. The first result of dispositional change is a change in point of view. Once their perspectives change, they will have a proper goal and know the path to practice, and then they will be able to practice the truth and act in accordance with God’s intentions. If their points of view don’t change, this proves that Satan’s philosophies still hold sway over them and Satan’s toxins still dominate inside them, which is why their points of view are the same as all humans who belong to Satan. Just how much have your points of view changed now? Which aspects have changed? Which parts remain like those of worldly people and have not changed? If you have some aspects where your views are the same as worldly people, this proves that you have not gained the truth regarding those aspects and that Satan’s philosophies concerning those aspects still have a place inside you and are still controlling you. This means you should pursue the truth earnestly. What kind of outcome can be achieved from pursuing the truth? A change in point of view. Your points of view will completely conform with the truth and will have been generated completely based on the truth. Only that proves you are a person who truly understands the truth. Once you understand the truth and your points of view change, you will know what you should practice, and which goals you should pursue, enter and practice. If someone’s perspectives do not change, will they have a path to practice? Will they have correct goals? No, they won’t. As their points of view have not changed, it proves that Satan’s philosophies still hold sway over them. If Satan’s philosophies are still controlling them, then their perspectives surely grew out of Satan’s philosophies, and they have not escaped Satan’s influence, nor are they someone who has been saved. You must see this point clearly.

The final truth one should enter into to achieve dispositional change is to be able to worship God in prayer. This is the most crucial issue. When a person prays to God but does not worship God, if they say a lot of words in their prayers but without a word that worships God, then is such a prayer to God’s liking? Such a prayer involves no truth, no knowledge of God, and so is not to God’s liking. All prayers without knowledge of God certainly don’t have worship and obedience in them. Therefore, if someone can enter into the reality or truth of worshiping God in prayer, then this is sufficient to show that this person’s life disposition has truly changed and that they can worship God. We just communicated how we have, because of our obedience to God’s work, achieved a little change and some entry into truth. When you have time, evaluate from the time you started believing in God which truths you have gained, what changes you have achieved, and which problems of corruption have been resolved by God’s words and the truth. If you discover you have really gained some truths and achieved some changes, then how should you pray to God? Should you fall down before God to genuinely worship Him? If so, what should you say when you have fallen down before God to worship Him? You ought to say: “Oh God, You have indeed loved me and saved me. You will always be my God, my Lord. I was created by You and belong to You. I will always worship You.” If you say words like that then that proves you are worshiping God, that you can worship God regarding these gains and changes. In addition, how should you worship God when you see that unbelievers have been struck by disaster and yet you are enjoying God’s grace? You should say in prayer: “Oh God, I truly see that You are guiding me and protecting me. You didn’t let this disaster befall me. You indeed love me. I will always worship You, my God. You are the one true God. You are forever worthy of praise and worship.” You’re really worshiping God if you pray in that way, right? You should truly worship God for all things in which you have received His grace. When you worship, fall down before God and tell Him what is in your heart—that is worshiping God. Have you prayed like this in the past? Worshiping God is not about the volume of words; do not think worshiping means you must say enough nice words, say a certain number of words, or speak for more than a specific number of minutes. Worshiping God is not about length of time. As long as you truly see God’s grace in some things, see that God is saving you, and see God’s love, then in spirit and truth worship, praise and thank God—that is worshiping God. Saying respectfully in your heart: “God is the Lord of creation, the one true God; I am a creature, a human being corrupted by Satan, and I am indeed saved by God”—that is worshiping God. Regardless of what aspect in which one receives God’s grace or which aspect of knowledge of God one gains, they should truly worship Him for it. If you always worship God like this, God’s heart will be comforted and He will say: “After experiencing My work for so long, this person finally has knowledge of Me and can finally fall down before Me to say what’s in their heart. My work has finally achieved results on them.” If the Holy Spirit keeps working on mankind and works for many years, but there isn’t a single person who can genuinely offer thanks and praise to God, then will God receive comfort? It is just like if parents raise their children for many years, those children should be filial when they grow up. But if the parents still don’t see any filial piety when the children are 20 years old, or even 30 years old, won’t the parents be anxious? Won’t they feel hurt emotionally? Especially when a parent falls ill or is struck by disaster, how would the parent feel if not even one of their children was by their side? Everyone should be able to appreciate that feeling. You should know how God feels from the example I just gave. God loves us more than our parents do: The love our parents have for us is love of the flesh, whereas God’s love is true love. God loves us that much, so how can we comfort His heart? When you receive God’s grace, gain knowledge of God, see God’s glory, or when you should give glory to God, fall down and worship right away. This does most to comfort God’s heart and satisfy God. Particularly when God tests you, being able to fall down before God and worship Him is the best testimony. It is what satisfies God the most, what God hopes to see the most, and what gives Him the most enjoyment. When facing a trial, being without complaint and being able to still see God’s glory, see God’s love, still praise God, and fall down before God to worship Him is what God blesses the most. Therefore, being able to worship God in prayer is the most real entry, the most practical entry. If you pray to God a hundred times but not many of your prayers involve your worship of God, and all you do is talk nonsense, go through the formalities, and ask for things for yourself—as insensitive as a child who hasn’t grown up, you have no clue about comforting God’s heart—then what is the point of such prayers? Will God be willing to listen? You don’t have to only worship God when something major happens, saying “I dodged a bullet this time, so I must worship God.” This is wrong. You can worship God regarding many things in which you have received God’s grace. You should even more worship God and comfort God’s heart during the trials you encounter and in the many things that don’t conform with human conceptions. Only by doing so are you in accord with God’s wishes. What problem is revealed when people pray to God but don’t worship God? It shows that they are too selfish and despicable, that they only know how to satisfy themselves and be considerate to themselves, but don’t know how to satisfy and comfort God’s heart. Isn’t that extremely selfish and despicable, extremely unreasonable? God gave them so much grace, and yet they can’t even speak a word of worship to God. This is a display of their lack of conscience and reason, a display of selfishness and despicableness. Such people are too considerate of their flesh and not of God’s heart. Worshiping God in prayer doesn’t mean seeking how to worship God every time you pray. Worshiping God is very natural: When you should pray for things you can, but your intentions need to be right, and when you should worship God you worship God. For example, there are two things in a particular month worthy of worshiping God for, though you will surely pray more than just twice and might pray 30 times in a month. But even if just two of the prayers are the true worship of God, that’s pretty good too. That’s not bad. It’s not about making people go through the formalities of worshiping God every time they pray. What’s the point of that? When you truly see that God is kind to you, when you truly see that you have received grace, when you truly see that God loves you, when you truly see that God is testing you and you need to worship Him, when you truly see God’s glory—all these are times when you should worship God, when you should fall down before Him. When it’s time to worship God, find a quiet place to fall down before God. No one else has to see it, nor does it have to be done in front of other people. If a person is able to worship God more for the many things they should be worshiping God for, they must have a heart that loves God. Only when a person has a heart that loves God can they discover God’s love, be willing to satisfy God, and be willing to satisfy God and comfort God’s heart in all things. So the more people have a heart that loves God and the stronger their love is for God, the more they have conscience and reason, the more they have humanity, and the more kind-hearted they are. If a person does not love God in their heart, can they be counted as a kind-hearted person? Can they be counted as a person with conscience and reason? No, they can’t. What is loving God? What is a heart that loves God? If someone always thinks: “What is God trying to achieve by doing this work on me? What result is He trying to achieve? It is all to save me that God is doing this. God knows that I will surely suffer a lot through such trials and such judgment and chastisement, but God has no choice in order to save me. God’s good intentions are in this,” such a person has a heart that loves God. Accordingly, when trials befall you and when your flesh needs to suffer, don’t just think about consoling yourself. You should ponder: “Has God’s heart been comforted? How can I comfort God?” That’s what is most important. When you think this way, how can you not worship God? How can you not feel thanks and praise toward Him? Thanks, praise, and worship come from the heart, a heart that loves God. Hence, a person who loves God is able to worship God more, and they will have more words of worship toward God in their prayers.

The Several Expressions of Dispositional Change

Let’s communicate about the several expressions of dispositional change. The first expression of dispositional change is fearing God and shunning evil. We have seen that a lot of people who have believed in God for many years understand many doctrines, but their life disposition has not changed. What they live out is still the satanic ugliness of corrupted mankind. This is a sad thing. When God’s work ends, the people whose life disposition has changed will be blessed by God and will survive. If some people have believed until the end but their disposition remains unchanged, and what they live out is still the satanic image of unbelievers, such people will be eliminated. Do you know what the outcome will be for people who are eliminated? Like unbelievers, they will die in the end. Why will they have to die even though they have believed in God until the end? Because they have never pursued the truth and they have not gained the truth even in the end. What is the main manifestation of not having gained the truth? It is not having dispositional change, and so these people will be eliminated. … Now we see clearly that the house of God communicates truths in every meeting, which are truths that people must enter into or truths people must possess for salvation. After the truths have been communicated, people will feel: “I’ve gained something today. Today, I’ve gained more knowledge of my corruption. Today, I’ve gained some new insights into how I should enter into the truth and practice the truth.” People who pursue the truth will enjoy this kind of growth after each meeting. It’s normal. Believers in God who pursue the truth will always grow, and before they know it, after experiencing it for a half a year to a year they will see some changes in themselves. They will see some growth in themselves after experiencing it for a few months. If they have believed in God for three or five years, they will feel: “I have now indeed changed a lot. I am now basically an honest person. I can now obey God, I now have some knowledge of God, and I now have some fear of God inside me.” Isn’t that the growth they have achieved? That is. When they have gained true knowledge of God’s disposition, they will have a God-fearing heart. When they have a God-fearing heart, their life disposition will start to undergo major changes. What is the first change when one can fear God? It’s being able to shun evil. They will no longer do the many things they used to do that resisted and judged God. They’ll no longer disrupt the church life, and no longer say negative things or words that carry death. They will treat their brothers and sisters properly, will not judge the work of God’s house when they can’t see clearly or understand it, and will be able to obey whatever arrangements made by God’s house. That’s the change a person who fears God can achieve. Some of their revelations of corruption cannot be changed quickly. For example, not complaining about God at all when trials occur, that’s not something that they can definitely achieve. To achieve this requires considerable knowledge of God. When they encounter difficulties now, they probably still have some complaints in their minds. But they won’t say them out loud. They can quickly pray to God after complaints or bad thoughts arise inside them. Someone like this is a person who has a heart that fears God. If someone has a heart that fears God, they will do much less evil; their good deeds will gradually increase and their evil deeds will gradually decrease. Also, they’ll deal with everything that they encounter with a heart that obeys God. They will seek to grasp God’s will in things they cannot discern or understand, and will be able to wait for God to enlighten and illuminate them. You won’t see any expressions of resisting God in such a person. People who do not have a heart that fears God talk recklessly when encountering something they cannot understand clearly, and they dare to make judgments if they see that the work of God’s house does not conform to their ideas. They dare to judge anyone; they don’t care what level you are at in terms leadership—if they feel what you’ve done isn’t to their liking, they will judge you. They will open their mouths and pass judgment if they see any flaws in the brothers and sisters or see them express any corruption, and if they see that someone is lesser than them they will attack and belittle that person. Such people do not have a heart that fears God. Someone who does not have a heart that fears God cannot possibly be a godly person, and they are certainly not devout in serving God. … How is a God-fearing heart developed? It is developed mainly through accepting God’s judgment and chastisement and gaining the true knowledge of God’s righteous disposition. Anyone who doesn’t have knowledge of God’s righteous disposition cannot develop a God-fearing heart. It is also true that some people develop some fear of God through experiencing God’s discipline or punishment. They will say: “God’s disposition is unoffendable, so it really cannot be offended by anyone. I was punished before because I resisted God. I will always remember this hard lesson. I certainly know God is an unoffendable God.” However, for those without true knowledge of God’s disposition, it is quite impossible to have much fear of God. …

The second expression of dispositional change is being able to obey and worship God. What does being able to obey God refer to? First, it refers to being able to obey God’s work. Secondly, it refers to being able to obey God’s words and all of God’s requirements of man. God’s requirements include how man should believe in God, how man should pursue the truth, how man should fulfill his duty and accept what God entrusts him with: Being able to practice God’s words and satisfy God in all these things is an expression of obeying God. If you believe in God but don’t pursue the truth, is that obeying God? If you believe in God but can’t accept the judgment and chastisement of God’s words and cannot live by God’s words, is that obeying God? If you believe in God but don’t fulfill your duty, as though God’s work had nothing to do with you, is that obeying God? … Being able to obey God is a testimony, a testimony of change in one’s life disposition. If you discover a person who can obey God and can worship God in many things—when other people around them don’t know how to pray to and worship God—a person who can grasp God’s will in many things, and handle everything appropriately and in conformity with God’s words, such a person is surely someone who has been saved and perfected. The most obvious characteristic of change in life disposition is being able to obey God, seek the truth, and practice the truth in all things. Some say having fear of God and shunning evil is also a characteristic of dispositional change. Yes, those who fear God and shun evil are certainly people who obey God and worship God in many things, just like Job did. Being able to obey and worship God is the second expression of dispositional change. Some people say: “I don’t understand many truths. I want to obey God but can’t do it. I don’t know how to obey God.” Even though you do not understand many truths, if you have a God-fearing heart, when you encounter things you cannot see clearly you will seek the truth and will be able to pray to God and wait for God. All those who can pray to God, seek God, and wait for God in things they cannot see clearly are people who obey God, and their conduct is an expression of obeying God. As everyone has a limited understanding of the truth, it is impossible for us to see everything clearly. It doesn’t matter if there are some things you cannot see clearly, but if you don’t act recklessly, you don’t speak recklessly about things you don’t understand, and you are able to seek God, pray to God, and wait for God, you are someone who obeys God. Those who can obey and worship God are all people who have been gained by God. …

The third expression of dispositional change is having a heart that can love God and a mind that can be one with God in all things. Developing a heart that can love God is not an easy thing. Most people think: “Why is there no love in my heart? Why can’t I ever have love for God?” What do you think is the reason for this? It is because you don’t have knowledge of God’s disposition, God’s loveliness, and the fact that God is the truth and righteousness. You’re too unfamiliar with God and you still have many notions about God, which is why you don’t love God in your heart even if you want to. Why is it that you can have love for a human being but can’t have love for God? What is the difference here? If you have spent a lot of time with someone and are familiar with them, and you have a very favorable impression of their conduct and really admire them then you’ll think they are adorable. This is because you know them so well, and they are very much to your liking, which is why you can love them. Then why can’t you love God? It’s because you don’t have knowledge of God, and you pray to and interact with God too little. Even though you believe in God, you are still unfamiliar with God and you don’t know anything about God’s deeds, so your heart is not able to love God. In fact, God doesn’t even have a place in your heart, which is the truth. We believe in God but can’t see God, and yet we can still feel that God is especially lovely and especially good. How is this possible? You can’t see God who you believe in, but you can still feel that God is especially good, that God is the truth, and that God is so lovely. This is not easy to achieve! This has to be done through experiencing God’s work and the work of the Holy Spirit. This is experienced and felt in the work of the Holy Spirit. The more you feel and experience the Holy Spirit’s work, the more knowledge of God you will have. If you experience very little of the Holy Spirit’s work, it’s impossible to attain knowledge of God. So many things happen to you every day—you should look how God works, why God arranges things as He does, how God’s words perfect you, how the Holy Spirit enlightens you, how the Holy Spirit guides you and supplies you, and how God’s words are fulfilled in you. When you have experienced enough of this, your knowledge of God will have increased. … When you have knowledge of God, you will have love for God, you will have obedience toward God, you will have fear of God, and you will truly worship God. This is the result of experiencing God’s work. This is how it works. If you want to achieve loving God with your heart, then you must experience enough of God’s work. Thus, no matter whether what God does matches your conceptions and imaginings or not, in the end, you will see that what God does is all love and salvation for you, and regardless of how much His work does not conform to your conceptions or how much it makes you feel suffering, in the end, you will realize that through experiencing it you have been cleansed and saved. When you see that regardless of what God does, whether it be judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, or trials and refinement, it is all love for you, which is absolutely true, when your experience reaches this level, will your heart still not love God? It is just like how a child comes to love their parents. No matter how strict their parents are or how much they discipline their child, in the end, the child will see that their parents had no malice toward them and that it was all out of love and the desire for them to learn how to be good and become a good person. When they grow up, they will realize how much care and thought their parents expended on them, and that their parents are very worthy of respect. Love for God is also developed through this kind of experience. Can you see now that God is love? Everything God did in the Age of Grace was love. In the Age of Kingdom, everything God does, whether it be judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, or trials and refinement, is still love, which is for sure, and it’s an even deeper love, a more practical love, and a love that can save mankind. It’s a love that’s even more real. So now when you see God’s words of judgment and chastisement, regardless of how strict and incompatible with your notions they are, do you still have notions about them? You don’t anymore, right? Why is that the case? Because you see God’s love and the care and thought behind His strict words. That is why you can say: “The more severe God’s judgment of me and the more He puts me through trials and refinement and makes me suffer, the more I feel that God loves me very much. How come this has not happened to others but it’s all been given to me? It seems God loves me enormously. God has exalted me. God has made an exception and uplifted me.” When you realize through experiencing God’s work that all He does is love, you will develop a heart that loves God. When you develop a heart that loves God, you will know how to be considerate toward God’s will and how to satisfy and comfort God. A person who can be of one heart and one mind with God in all things and can stand on God’s side no matter what natural or man-made disaster they encounter is a person that has thoroughly forsaken Satan and completely turned to God. That is an expression of dispositional change. …

The fourth expression of dispositional change is having a conscience, having sense, and being kind-hearted, and becoming an honest person. To have conscience and sense means a person is enjoying God’s grace and knows to repay God’s love. They can fulfill their duty of a created being through believing in God because they have an understanding of God, they are kind-hearted, and have become an honest person. As an honest person, they can fulfill their duty and repay God’s love, and treat people with kindness. This kind of person doesn’t lie, doesn’t cheat, and certainly doesn’t have any machinations. Getting along with someone like this will never pose any danger to you or hurt you. … Now, if someone has turned from a corrupted person who belongs to Satan and is capable of committing all sorts of evil into a kind-hearted and honest person, isn’t that an expression of dispositional change? After their life disposition changes, people can become kind, treat everyone with fairness, and be especially gracious toward those who are particularly good. First, they won’t cheat you. Secondly, they won’t try to trap you. Thirdly, they surely won’t intend to hurt you. You never have to worry about these things. Further, if you hurt them in some ways, they will forgive you and won’t hold on to your transgressions. They will tolerate you, forbear with you, be patient with you, and still treat you with love. Wouldn’t it be much safer if you met someone like this? A person whose life disposition has changed has a kind heart and has love for every person and is willing to help them. Even if you hurt them or do wrong by them, they can forbear with, be patient with, and forgive you. Such is a person with normal humanity and the likeness of a real person. Someone in the likeness of a real person treats people with conscience, sense, and through the truth. They obey God, have a loving heart, and carry out true worship. That’s a person whose life disposition has changed. People nowadays have too many malevolent ingredients in them, so how do they act? If they see anyone they dislike they will judge and belittle them. Isn’t that cruel? Also, if they see anyone who reveals some corruption, they won’t treat them like human beings, and will instead treat them as demons. Not treating people correctly—isn’t that malicious? If someone does wrong by them or says some things they shouldn’t have said, such as words that judge them or doubt them, or offend them, they will be unforgiving, they will want revenge and to go tit for tat. Isn’t that vicious? On top of that, they always try to take advantage of people, order them around and get others to do things for them, but they never help anyone else. Isn’t that nasty? All of these are malignant expressions. Kind people don’t have evil in their hearts. If you owe them, they won’t mind, but they won’t owe you anything because for them that’s definitely unacceptable. Plus, it’s not a problem if you offend them, but they would never want to offend you, let alone harm you. Isn’t that kind-hearted? When anyone does something unfavorable toward them, they can also put themselves in that person’s shoes and be considerate toward them, can forgive them, and understand them. This is also the expression of a kind heart. Some people committed a lot of evil in the past, but they now have faith in God and can pursue the truth, and further they can forgive others and treat them correctly and fairly. This type of person is classified as a kind-hearted person. Kind-hearted people have forbearance, mercy, forgiveness, and endurance in their hearts, and even more so they have love and sympathy. That is why everyone loves to be in contact with someone like this and is willing to make such a friend. There are too few people like this in the world now. They aren’t easy to find. It’d be great to find someone like that, but they’re way too hard to find. Where can you find someone like that? You must go search in the house of God. Among this group of people who have been experiencing God’s work of the last days, if some people have been perfected by God through pursuing the truth then they are surely this kind of person, each and every one of them. As for those who have not been perfected but received salvation through pursuing the truth—it’s not bad to spend time with such people either. All of them belong to the category of people who have achieved dispositional change.

The fifth expression of dispositional change is being able to practice the truth, bear witness to God, and exalt God in all things. People with dispositional change can pray to God and praise God and can practice the truth in all things. Furthermore, when they come into contact with others, they can bear witness to God, exalt God, and let them see how God works to save people. They will also communicate the truth to others, and communicate to them which aspects of the truth relate to the things that happen to them, how they should practice the truth to satisfy God, and so forth. Only those who can communicate the truth, bear witness to God, and exalt God are people with true dispositional change. Those who have dispositional change can always bear witness to God and exalt God; they won’t be arrogant, bear witness to themselves, or show themselves off. As for those without dispositional change, even if they communicate a bit of the truth to others, most of the time it is to show themselves off and to make people look up to them, listen to them, and admire them. They never bear witness to God or exalt God. They are very afraid that, after they bear witness to God and exalt God, people will only obey God and not listen to them. Therefore, all those who do not exalt God and bear witness to God are certainly not people with dispositional change, and that’s for sure. If anyone communicates the truth without bearing witness to God and exalting God, his communication is not pure and it is not for bringing people before God. How can others have knowledge of God if you don’t bear witness to God and exalt God? The truth comes from God and from God’s words. If you don’t bear witness to God’s intentions and why God does things this way, then people won’t be able to understand the truth. So even if you communicate the truth you won’t be able to achieve any results or help them achieve knowledge of God. If anyone can exalt God and bear witness to God when they communicate the truth, even if they don’t communicate much, as they can give people some understanding of God’s work and His words, they are someone who communicates the truth effectively. So only those who exalt and bear witness to God are people who obey God and are gained by God. All those who only communicate the truth but don’t exalt or bear witness to God are people who are simply showing themselves off. They are arrogant and conceited people and definitely not people who have achieved the transformation of their life disposition. What does the “all things” refer to in “being able to practice the truth in all things”? It refers to everything that involves the truth. There is no need to follow this in things that don’t involve the truth. Practicing the truth in all things is seeking the truth and practicing the truth in all things that involve the truth. … A person who is able to practice the truth in all things is someone who has achieved transformation in their life disposition. Isn’t someone who can practice seeking to grasp God’s intentions in all things and ponder how to practice God’s words to satisfy God in everything a person who has achieved dispositional change? This is something you must know. Normally, if God does not have a place in a person’s heart, will they seek the truth in everything they encounter in daily life? They won’t seek the truth. Everything they do will be to benefit their flesh. They won’t care about the truth, God’s words, or God’s intentions, and will ignore all of these things. They are just an unbeliever. If you also act like this, like an unbeliever, then are you a person who has the truth? How do you currently act in all things you encounter? Do you act like unbelievers, or do you seek the truth? This depends on whether or not you have reality. You, as a believer in God, must have reality, having the reality of entering into God’s words, the reality of practicing the truth, the reality of obeying God, and the reality of a normal humanity. If you don’t possess these realities, you have gained nothing in believing in God. In what things have you sought the truth in daily life? In what things have you practiced the truth? In what things have you satisfied God through praying to God and seeking to grasp God’s will? You must clearly know these things in your heart and must always practice this. Only if you do so does it demonstrate that you are a person who truly believes in God. If you still act like how you used to in all things you encounter, acting in whatever way that benefits your flesh and holding the views of unbelievers, then are you a person who believes in God? … To prove that you have achieved dispositional change through pursuing the truth requires a lot of testimonies. It won’t do without testimonies. When you have borne a lot of testimonies, you will have possessed these five expressions of dispositional change. If you have these five expressions and these five realities of the truth, then you have true testimonies. That way, God will be happy with you, because you have love and fear of God in your heart, you can obey God, you are an honest person, and you can practice the truth in all things. Those unbelievers and people who belong to the devil Satan will all hate you and reject you, and they will all slander you and shun you. This is normal. On the one hand, God will be happy with you, and on the other hand, those who belong to Satan will hate you. That’s perfectly compatible with the truth and is a true testimony, proving that you have truly forsaken Satan and completely turned to God. If you don’t have true testimonies, you surely do not possess these five expressions of dispositional change.
