619 Fight the Good Fight for the Truth

Chorus

To fight the good fight for the truth,

first, don’t let Satan do its work.

To do this you should be of one mind

and be able to serve together.

Verse 1

Let go of your own views and notions,

as well as your ways of doing things,

and quieten your heart before God,

focus on the voice of the Spirit.

Be attentive to the Spirit’s work,

and experience in detail God’s words.

Have one aim, that God’s will can be done.

You should have no other intention.

Bridge 1

You must look to God with all your heart,

watch His actions, the way He does things,

and do not ever be negligent.

Your spirit must be sharp,

your eyes open, your eyes open.

Chorus

To fight the good fight for the truth,

first, don’t let Satan do its work.

To do this you should be of one mind

and be able to serve together.

Yes, you must be able to serve together.

Verse 2

Those with wrong intents and purposes,

those who interrupt, who love attention,

who are strong in religious doctrine,

and who are the lackeys of Satan,

when they stand up, it’s hard for the church;

others’ savoring comes to nothing.

This kind of man should be banned promptly.

They’ll suffer if no change rebuke brings.

Bridge 2

Those who stubbornly stay in their ways,

defend themselves, cover up their sins,

should be fully removed from the church.

Don’t be petty, see the big picture, see the big picture.

Chorus

To fight the good fight for the truth,

first, don’t let Satan do its work.

To do this you should be of one mind

and be able to serve together.

Yes, you must be able to serve together.

Yes, you must be able to serve together.
