Sermons and Fellowship About God’s Word “It Is Very Important to Understand God’s Disposition” (VIII)

It Is Very Important to Understand God’s Disposition (Selections)

Every sentence I have spoken contains within it the disposition of God. You would do well to ponder My words carefully, and you will surely profit greatly from them. The substance of God is very difficult to grasp, but I trust that you all have at least some idea about the disposition of God. I hope, then, that you will show Me and do more of that which does not offend the disposition of God. Then will I be reassured. For example, keep God in your heart at all times. When you act, do so according to His words. Seek out His intentions in all things, and refrain from doing that which disrespects and dishonors God. Even less should you put God in the back of your mind to fill the future void in your heart. If you do this, you will have offended the disposition of God. Again, supposing you never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life, and again, supposing you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you and also to submit to all His words throughout your life, then you will have avoided transgressing against the administrative decrees. For example, if you have ever said, ‘Why do I not think that He is God?’ ‘I think that these words are nothing more than some enlightenment of the Holy Spirit,’ ‘In my opinion, not everything God does is necessarily right,’ ‘The humanity of God is not superior to mine,’ ‘The words of God are simply not believable,’ or other such judgmental remarks, then I exhort you to confess and repent your sins more often. Otherwise, you will never have a chance at forgiveness, for you offend not a man, but God Himself. You may believe that you are judging a man, but the Spirit of God does not consider it that way. Your disrespect of His flesh is equal to disrespecting Him. This being so, have you not offended God’s disposition? You must remember that all that is done by the Spirit of God is done in order to safeguard His work in the flesh and in order that this work be done well. If you neglect this, then I say that you are someone who will never be able to succeed in believing in God. For you have provoked the wrath of God, and so He shall use fitting punishment to teach you a lesson.

Coming to know the substance of God is no trifling matter. You must understand His disposition. In this way, you will, gradually and unknowingly, come to know the substance of God. When you have entered into this knowledge, you will find yourself stepping into a higher and more beautiful state. In the end, you will come to feel ashamed of your hideous soul, and, moreover, will feel that there is nowhere to hide from your shame. At that time, there will be less and less in your conduct to offend the disposition of God, your heart will come closer and closer to that of God, and a love for Him will gradually grow in your heart. This is a sign of mankind entering a beautiful state. But as yet, you have not attained this. As you all rush about for the sake of your destiny, who has any interest in trying to know the substance of God? Should this continue, you will unknowingly transgress against the administrative decrees, for you understand far too little of the disposition of God. So is not what you do now laying down a foundation for your offenses against the disposition of God? That I ask you to understand the disposition of God is not at odds with My work. For if you transgress against the administrative decrees often, who among you will escape punishment? Would My work then not have been entirely in vain? Therefore, I still ask that, in addition to scrutinizing your own conduct, you be cautious in the steps you take. This is the higher demand that I make of you, and I hope that you will all consider it carefully and give it your earnest regard. Should a day come when your actions provoke Me to a towering rage, then the consequences will be yours alone to consider, and there will be no one else to bear the punishment in your place.

In God’s words: “Again, supposing you never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life, and again, supposing you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you and also to submit to all His words throughout your life, then you will have avoided transgressing against the administrative decrees.” To not transgress administrative decrees, you must fulfill these three requirements. God requires that “you never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life,” and this is no easy matter. If you take these words as an ordinary requirement from God or as a rule that must be followed, do you think that they will be effective? No one will be able to keep it. Why is this? And perhaps someone says, “If I encounter trials and in my heart complaints against God begin to form so I keep these words inside and don’t let them come out. By not saying these complaints out loud, haven’t I achieved it?” Is this explanation plausible? You all say it is not plausible. Why isn’t it plausible? Sometimes people can keep themselves from speaking out, can restrain themselves and can endure, but sometimes blasphemy and complaints against God are expressed through actions rather than words. You may not complain against or blaspheme God, but can you guarantee that you will not go against God in your actions? You haven’t blasphemed or complained against God, but if something you do blasphemes or complains against God, how do you explain this? Isn’t this a practical problem? So, it isn’t a question of restraint. It’s best to solve this kind of problem by dealing with one’s nature. In getting at the source of the problem, where does one start, where does one step in? You still must begin with understanding God’s disposition. If you don’t know God’s disposition, when you truly encounter some certain situation or trial, even if you restrain yourself, it won’t help. You may restrain your mouth but you won’t be able to restrain your heart. This problem is a matter of one’s nature. Because one doesn’t know God, and moreover, because they have been profoundly corrupted by Satan and have Satan’s nature, when they encounter things, how can they not complain against God? It’s impossible.

There are many people now who have believed in the Lord their whole lives. After having believed in God for many years, when they encounter a big trial, they fall. Why? This is because of a lack of the reality of the truth and a failure to obtain life, right? Those people who fail to obtain life want to rely on following rules to be approved by God and to get into the kingdom. What is the result? You can pass through small trials, but not so with big trials. Here you are bound to fall. So we say that there are quite a few people in God’s family who have been believers for 5 or 6 or even over 10 years but when the great red dragon gets hold of them and they are faced with torture, they can’t withstand it and they become Judas. Some withstand the torture but as soon as someone brainwashes them with some rumors and lies, they become confused again. The result is that they too become Judas and betray God. What is the problem? Whether falling because of torture or betraying God because of having been brainwashed, in short, where is the commonality in the problem? He lacks the truth, hasn’t obtained the truth. If a person hasn’t gained the truth, then is it guaranteed that during his or her lifetime, he or she won’t blaspheme or complain against God? No, it isn’t. When some people hear the words through which I deal with them after I get angry, they come up with a notion, “Is this God’s love? How is it that God’s family has no love? How can he speak so harshly? In religion there is gentleness and love!” The words dealing with him are followed by complaints. Why is this? They lack the truth. Which aspect of the truth? They don’t know what love is. They take the truth of God’s love as a rule that they keep in their hearts. When someone speaks gently and kindly and is full of smiles, then they say, “Ah, now this is love.” They think this is what love is. So if God does not speak gently and His words are fierce like a two-edged sword, then it isn’t love. Isn’t this the notion of religious people? If a five or six year old child gets a good spanking from his parents, he hates it and cries. People ask the child, “Are your mother and father good to you?” “No!” “Why are they not good to you?” “They spank me!” This is how children are. They are immature. Some people that experienced God’s discipline and pruning and dealing have some conceptions about this. Aren’t they the same as with an immature child? They are lacking in the truth and are like an immature child. Anyway, what must one possess if one wants to succeed in not blaspheming or complaining against God throughout their life? Is it all right to not seek the truth? Is it all right to never know God’s disposition? You all say no. If one doesn’t understand the truth, can’t see through many things and always applies rules, it is not a guarantee that such a person will not blaspheme or make complaints against God for his whole life. Some people are revealed in the grasp of the great red dragon. Some people are revealed when faced with trials. Take, for example, a woman with a child. If her child meets with tragedy and dies, can she develop a notion about God? She will say: “I have so believed in God and expended for God. Why did God take away my child?” Some say: “I have forsaken everything to follow God. Why did my mother and father have to be killed in a disaster?” Still others learn to talk like the unbelievers, “God is unfair!” Do these words amount to blaspheming God? The more that you say that God is unfair, the more you should die. For you have blasphemed God. If you recognize cause and effect retribution, why do you say that God is unfair? Other people’s parents should die but not yours? Other people’s child should die but not yours? All whom God has destined to destroy and punish, no matter what family they are born into, will die in the end. God acts according to principles, which represents His righteous disposition. Can you make blind assertions? Why do you not seek the truth?

You see that when some people hear that God’s family expels antichrists, and eliminates nonbelievers, what do they say? “We believe in God. God has the final word. How can anyone act on God’s behalf without God’s permission?” Does this talk accord with the truth? All say it does not. He says, “God has the final say. If God acknowledges him and he believes in God, are people qualified and authorized to expel him?” Can these words stand up? All think no. Many a new believer says as much. These are the issue and doubt that he brings up. What truth do you say that he is lacking? He doesn’t understand God’s administrative decrees. He doesn’t understand that God has established the church and he doesn’t understand what authority God has given the church. He thinks that when God is at work, people have no power and people aren’t capable of doing anything, and that people believe in God such that no one should interfere with anyone else, that no one should mind the business of anyone else, that no one is qualified to judge the sins of another, and that no one can handle others. This is his understanding. In the Age of Grace, did God entrust the church with anything? Yes, He did. The Lord Jesus said to Peter: “[A]nd whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Mat 16:19). This is the authority that God gave to the church, or, in other words, this is the authority given to those people God works through. Then, are there those that say “Someone has expelled me, but God has not expelled me, so I still believe. If you can enter the kingdom of heaven, then I am sure I can also enter the kingdom of heaven”? What is wrong with saying this? Can you see what it is? Some who don’t understand the truth always have a notion, and say, “I believe in God; can the church expel people? Who can rise above God? God has dominion over all and has the final say.” What kind of talk is this? Is this blasphemy against God or complaining against God? There is a problem with these words. Sisters and brothers deal with him and what does he say? “Brothers and sisters don’t represent God or the truth. I don’t accept what they say.” What kind of talk is this? Is this kind of talk obedient? Is it reverent? One does not hear the truth in these words. If man doesn’t have the truth, no matter what happens, he can engage in fallacies. What is a fallacy? Complaints and blasphemy against God exist within most fallacies. Is this how it is? God’s words are: “Again, supposing you never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life.” And some people say, “‘[Y]ou never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life.’ This is easy to do. We don’t say that. We don’t have those words. It’s not hard, is it?” Then ask them, “Do you know what kind of words amount to blasphemy and complaints against God?” It’s all kinds of words. No matter how clever your words are, if there is blasphemy or complaining within, then the words amount to blasphemy and complaints against God. There are all kinds of clever ways of speaking which may appear to be very spiritual and very correct and which may be reasonable and in line with people’s notions, but in reality the words are blaspheming and complaining against God. These examples I have just given, are they words that complain against and blaspheme God or not? Like when I deal with them, what do they say? “God is love. I obey God!” These words are complaints and blasphemy against God. Also the words, “God is not fair!” What words are these? These words are blasphemous to God. Nowadays there are many people who don’t know which words constitute blasphemy or complaints against God. So they say, “I can guarantee it. This blasphemy and complaining against God is the great red dragon talking. When the police interrogate Christians, what they say is blasphemy. We will never say those words in our life and that’s a guarantee.” Do you know wherein the people who say this is foolish? They see words that blaspheme and complain against God too simply. It seems those words are only a few obvious ones. Whoever hears them will know that they are resisting God, finding God guilty, and blaspheming God. Some people will not say such obvious things. They speak cleverly and their words seem spiritual. The words seem very understandable, suitable and realistic to people, but the words conceal blasphemy and complaint against God. Let me give an example. During the Age of Law, God used Moses to do His work. What did 250 leaders say? “You take too much on you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Jehovah is among them: why then lift you up yourselves above the congregation of Jehovah?” (Num 16:3). What do you think is wrong with these words? There’s no problem when a person hears these words. They seem very practical, but what is the goal of these words? What is the context? What is concealed within these words? Just listening to these words, one can’t hear it, but God is examining the innermost hearts of people. God knows what these words mean and will not allow it. God is angry and must destroy them. But God doesn’t directly engage in supernatural acts and instead uses Moses’ words to punish them. Some words conceal much. They appear to be good superficially, but conceal extremely insidious evil. People can distinguish obvious blasphemy and complaints against God, but people can’t distinguish words that deftly hide complaints and blasphemy against God. All of these 250 leaders were learned people, so of course their words were not simple ones nor were they spoken truthfully. They concealed other intentions and blasphemy against God. They fooled other people but not God. God examines the innermost hearts of people, then He destroys them.

[Y]ou never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life” is what God requires of man. This requirement is the end result of God’s work. In seeking to be one of God’s people and seeking to gain the truth and life, what is the standard that you must achieve? Some people say, “I guarantee that I will not resist nor will I betray God.” That is also a rule. The most important thing is: When it comes to concrete issues, when it comes to practice, and when it comes to life, if you can guarantee that you will never in your life make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God, only then can you guarantee that you will not resist or betray God. Right? You must see this through. In order to see this through and to achieve never in a lifetime blaspheming or blaming God, it won’t work if you do not gain the truth or do not know God. It is no simple matter. If you don’t have life, how can you achieve this? What is the truth and life? Can you say it? You must have fear of God in your heart in order to shun evil. This fear is created by understanding the truth. The fruit of understanding the truth is fear of God in one’s heart. Fear of God is synonymous with life. The reality of life is in fearing God. After so many years of belief, has this person obtained life? You say, “As soon as this person acts, I can see that he has fear of God and love of God in his heart.” Well, this is proof of life! You use this to see him accurately and say he has life. This is well-founded. This is practical. Except for this, there isn’t a way to see through to this. You see, some people have a lot of nerve and dare to say anything. At the very least, what problem does this make others see? That this person does not have fear in his heart and will say anything. Then, does this person have the truth and life? Definitely not. How does one’s spiritual life grow? By eating and drinking the words of God, praying, meeting, communing and doing one’s duty every day. One must do all of these things. In doing one’s duty, they should communicate the truth and the principle of practice. In meetings, they should communicate their experiential testimony. In addition to these, they should eat and drink and ponder the words of God, listen to sermons, and experience trials. If there are outcomes achieved from all of these aspects, unwittingly, one’s God-fearing heart will develop, and they will feel in their heart that they can love God and are willing to obey God. They become unwilling to disobey God. If they disobey Him then they will feel blamed and will hate themselves: “How could I disobey God? I am a scoundrel! I am not a man!” Unconsciously they will commit fewer sins, do their duty with more proactiveness and vigor and will develop an understanding of God. You see, by experiencing this kind of spiritual life and church life, one makes progress after a period of time. Does one grow in life like this? Some people say: “The meeting was fine, but I remembered nothing after returning home and going to sleep. I gained nothing, did I not attend the meeting in vain? If things continue this way, I’d better not attend any meeting.” Are these words right? They are not right. Why are they not right? You may meet and then forget everything when you wake from your slumber. But if you attend meetings for a period of time, you will gain some understanding. Why are you so anxious? Problems are not resolved by meeting once. If you continually attend meetings, you can understand some things. When you truly understand some things, no matter how many times you sleep, your understanding will not come to naught. When something is mentioned, you will still know what is suitable to do because your understanding still remains. Is that not so? In that case, your understanding has become your life. Before it becomes your life, it may disappear when you wake from your slumber, but when you gain the truth as your life through your earnest pursuit, your life will grow within you. Do you think that when you forget what you’ve learned, your understanding will really disappear? This is not the case. Do you now understand about the growth of life?

Let’s continue to fellowship about God’s words. God says, “[A]nd again, supposing you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life.” If you are able to do what God has entrusted you to do for half of your life, does this make you one of God’s people? If it’s only for half a lifetime, it won’t do. If for the other half a person runs off, betrays God, refuses the mission God has entrusted him with, and doesn’t properly do all that God has entrusted him to do, then this proves that he has no truth, he doesn’t maintain through to the end and gives up halfway. Here God says, “[S]upposing you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life.” This isn’t easy and only those that truly follow God can do it. How can you prove that you are a person that follows God through to the end? By being able to discharge properly all that God has entrusted to you throughout your life. By doing so for your whole life, you indeed are one of God’s people and an overcomer. Now there are people who follow for a few years, constantly pondering “When will I get married and become part of the world of couples? When will I be able to have my own baby to be with me for the rest of my life?” Can a person like this succeed at “discharg[ing] properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life”? All say that he can’t do this. Why can’t he do it? Because he has unfaithful intentions, right? So what is God getting at in saying this? Don’t you seek to be one of His people? Aren’t you seeking to enter the kingdom of heaven? These are the requirements, what God demands of you. If you can fulfill these, you are guaranteed to have a place in heaven. Isn’t this the way that it is?

You are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life,” what do we first notice from these words? This person genuinely obeys God. Whenever God has something to entrust to him, he is devoted to God until the very end. He does everything that God has entrusted him with throughout his life. He does not do the things he likes to do. Regardless of the situation with his food, clothing and enjoyment and regardless of the suffering or trials he undergoes, he does not abandon what God has entrusted him with. He still shoulders what God has entrusted him with. He does not cast it aside, abandon it or betray it. This is someone that is devoted to God. For example, you are over twenty years old now and you are following God. Are you able to guarantee that you will follow God until the very end? Would you be able to follow God like you presently do and properly fulfill your duty for the next ten years, twenty years or thirty years? Can you guarantee this? What must you be equipped with in order to guarantee that you will fulfill this demand? Someone failed at fulfilling his duty according to standards. I said a few words of dealing to him and he could not take it. He went everywhere to look for a rope in order to hang himself. He said, “I am trash. I do not want to hurt God’s heart. I am just going to hang myself.” What do you think of this person? Is he devoted? He wants to conclude his life in advance. Is he able to discharge properly all that God has entrusted to him throughout his life? I dealt with him a little and he wanted to find a rope to hang himself. Isn’t this troublesome? You dare not upset such a person. What if he hangs himself if you upset him? He is so negative when you deal with him, he just gives up and wants to end his own life. What kind of problem is this? He does not have a knowledge of God nor does he understand God’s intentions. God has created such a person as yourself. He has given you such gift, He has given you that much. Now, regardless of how much God has given us or how great our innate talents are, we must remain faithful and be devoted to God for our entire lives, right? God has not given us high caliber and He has not given us many gifts. We should use however much He gives us. This is similar to what God said during the Age of Grace. A master gave one person one talent of his possessions, one person two talents and another person five talents. He gave each person a different amount. God did not require the person who was given one talent to obtain two talents. If he could earn one talent, that would be enough. The person who was given two talents should earn two talents and the person who was given five talents should earn five talents. God was fair to each of these three people. His treatment and reward were the same. God does not show favoritism to different people. God’s requirements for each person are different. Isn’t this the case? That is why for those whose caliber is a little bit lacking and whose experience in believing in God is a little bit less, do not give up or despair. Just work hard and make an effort to strive on. Do the best that you can and that would be enough. Do not have requirements that are too high for yourself. If, because your requirements are too high and you cannot fulfill them, you hate and curse yourself to the point that you do not want to live, this is ignorant! This is complaining about God! God has given you such a gift. He has given you this much. Why are your requirements so steep? The matters concerning life are like this. If you do your best with the abilities that you possess, God will already be very satisfied, right? How should these matters be viewed? We must learn how to grasp God’s intentions. God’s demands for man are the truth! Understood? You must understand God’s intentions! After you understand God’s intentions, it will be fine if you can understand what people do to you. Never give up and despair. Never become negative. Never find a rope and consider hanging yourself. This is not right. Cursing yourself is not necessary either. Continuously cursing yourself because your caliber is not high is complaining about God, right? Wanting to hang yourself because of your poor caliber basically means, “God! You did not give me caliber; You did not give me a gift. You made me unable to live. I will hang myself!” There is a bit of complaining about God and protesting God in these words. What kind of context have these words of complaint about God been produced in? This person meets with difficulties as he is performing his duty. He discovers that he truly does not have the reality of the truth and is unable to bear witness to God. No matter how hard he tries, it won’t do. No matter how he ponders, he is unable to achieve results. He has no path. In the end, he hates that his caliber is poor. He hates that he is nothing. He feels he is not worthy to live and only ends up shaming God, so he chooses to hang himself. Isn’t this complaining about God? This is protesting God through dying! He is complaining that God is unfair and why God didn’t give him a high caliber. What does God say in regard to this? God says, My requirements for man are not high, they are in accordance with what your individual spiritual stature and caliber can attain, and I do not have demands for the things that you are unable to attain. If you do not understand God’s words, then you do not understand God’s intentions. If you do not understand God’s intentions, you will do silly things and as a result, you complain about God. If you understood God’s intentions early, would you still complain about God? You would not. That is why I say that pursuing the truth is important!

God requires that you be “able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life.” This is what it means to live out a real life and to live out your life value. In order to do what this word is saying and to fulfill the demands of this sentence of God’s word, you should first understand what God has entrusted you with, the duty God has entrusted you with, and the duty that is suitable for you to perform. You must first be clear about this. Some people do not fulfill a duty well, “I can’t do it. This is not suitable for me. I want to fulfill that duty.” The result is that they do that duty but they do not do it well either. “This won’t do. Perhaps I still did not choose well. I want to do some other work.” Could it be that if you did something else you would do it well? Regardless of what duty you perform, you must first understand the truth, understand God’s demands and understand God’s intentions. Afterward, you must pursue to become an honest person. Only as an honest person would you be able to fulfill your duty well. If you are not an honest person, the duty that you perform will be mixed with impurities, deceits, perfunctoriness, craftiness, and things not conforming to the requirements. Isn’t this the case? If one is not an honest person, will he be serious about his duty and do things according to principles? He will not. People are all corrupt humanity. Regardless of what they do, doing it completely, well and in accordance with God’s intentions is difficult!

You are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life.” What must you possess when it comes to this? You must understand God’s disposition and the purpose and meaning of why God created man. You must understand the principle of God entrusting man to do things and you must understand how to live a true human life and what is the true meaning of life. If you can understand these things, you will be able to understand that doing things that God has entrusted you with for your entire life is what it means to have true life and that this is how to live meaningfully. If you only live for your physical existence throughout your life, like what to eat, or drink, or wear, then your life will be vulgar and devoid of all meaning and value. You will not be any different from a beast in human attire. Isn’t this the case? Some people perform duties for a period of time and then they want to find a job and earn some money. They say, “I am here performing duty but I am not receiving any wages for it. All they give is some living expenses. It’s boring! I must find a job and earn some money!” Isn’t this “job-hopping”? This is a case of someone who wants to betray what God has entrusted him with. Once they think like this, isn’t this the first sign of betrayal? What is the attitude of God’s family when there is someone who wants to betray? It is permitted. It is a free decision. God never forces anyone to do anything, nor does God’s family. However, there is one thing. If you do not do what God entrusts you with your entire life, there are some serious problems. First, you are not someone who obeys God. Second, you are not devoted to God in your faith. Third, you have a muddled faith your entire life. You do not understand God’s intentions and you do not do what God entrusts you with. You are seriously neglecting your duty. You are not fulfilling the duty of one of God’s creations. What does this mean? It shows that you are not a qualified creation, you are a service-doer, and you are just a piece of trash. You do service to your own flesh and belly. You work just for things to eat and clothes to wear. Isn’t this the case? Regardless of how great an official is in the world, they have a maxim, which says, “Securing a position for creature comforts.” They secure a position because they want to eat well, wear nice clothes and make a good living. As officials, they manage things that affect everybody. They are leaders amongst men. They are in charge of everybody and their status is illustrious. However, does what they do have any meaning? We all say that it is meaningless. Why is it that what they do has no meaning? They have not done the things that God has entrusted them to do and they do not know God! They strive to secure a position and they work hard for their fleshly existence. They are no different from animals. Look at animals like lions, tigers, and wolves. What do they live for? They live for their stomachs. Now, if man only lives to work, earn money, eat well, and drink well, are they any different from animals in the way that animals live? There is no big difference.

God does not entrust you with just one aspect of things. You must experience God’s work and eat and drink God’s word. Christ expresses these truths so that you would eat and drink them and obtain life. To summarize, the truths that Christ expresses is the way of eternal life. It is the perpetual way of life. If you understand these words, grasp the crucial points of them and put them into action, you will be able to obtain eternal life. How can you prove that you have obtained eternal life? “[Y]ou never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life,” and “you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you and also to submit to all His words throughout your life.” If you fulfill the requirements of God, you will be one of God’s people! God’s people are not the people of the ruler of demons. They are not the world’s people. They are God’s people. They are people of the kingdom of God. The world’s people live to a certain age and then they die. God’s people live forever, they will never die. Understood? If you do what God entrusts you to do, you will have God’s blessing and promise. What is this promise? It is that He will bring you to a beautiful final destination for mankind. He will let you enter the Millennial Kingdom. From within the Millennial Kingdom, you will step across into the new heaven and new earth and enter eternity. You will never die. Isn’t this the most blessed thing? Is it higher than obtaining a Ph.D.? Much higher! Even if you get a Ph.D., it is useless. You would still die when your time comes. Obtaining the truth is equivalent to obtaining eternal life. You will never die. Someone said, “When the great disaster arrives—when epidemics, famine, earthquakes and wars arrive—wouldn’t you die?” Regardless of what disasters arrive, you will not die. Doesn’t the Bible say this? “A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you” (Psm 91:7). These words were spoken while the author was moved by the Holy Spirit. So, the great disaster will occur, but it will not befall you because God is almighty.

Man is in God’s hand all throughout his life. This is not false. However, it is your own decision whether you want to accept the truth, put the truth into practice and fulfill your own duties according to God’s will and demands. If you understand the truth but you do not practice according to it, God will not force you. You take responsibility for the consequences in the end. God will hand you over to Satan. He will let you get sick and let disasters befall you so that you will die the same death as unbelievers. This is the arrangement God’s rule has over mankind’s destiny. Sometimes, He will give you an opportunity. If you do not seize it, all He will do is simply throw you to where the unbelievers are. If you seize the opportunity, then it is settled, you will gain. What is the saying that unbelievers have? “Opportunity knocks but once.” If you are unable to seize it—when it comes time for you to choose, you would choose not to accept, and when it comes time for you to fulfill your duties, you would choose to disobey God and earn money in the world and lead a happy life–in the end, what kind of happiness is yours? It is a momentary happiness of the flesh, a momentary licentiousness. What will it be like afterward? Extreme joy turns to sorrow very quickly and you will be regretful. “I should have chosen to fulfill my duties in the beginning. I regret clinging to the world. I regret choosing to earn money. I regret finding a partner and starting a family.” It is useless. Unbelievers have another saying, “The world sells every sort of drug except for the one that cures regret.” This is a fact! Some people, as they fulfill their duties, think, “When shall I find a partner, start a family and have my own children, so that I will be taken care of when I am old?” To unbelievers, this kind of thinking is, without a doubt, correct. In fact, it can be said that it is very normal, right? There is nothing wrong with it. However, when you bring this before God and seek the truth, it is not necessarily correct. Perhaps it is correct for some people but incorrect for others because God has different requirements for different people. For example, some people do not love the truth but they genuinely believe in God. They fulfill a few duties and then they want to find a partner. If they do not find a partner, they do not have a good faith in God. Once they find a partner, they are able to fulfill duties, such as receiving others and preaching the gospel. They are willing to do such things. Now, should these people marry? There is nothing wrong if they marry. If they want to get married, they should get married because they do not love the truth anyway. Even if they do not marry, they will not obtain the truth. Now, for some other people, they understand spiritual matters, have a good caliber, and understand the truth. Their prospects for the pursuit of the truth are boundless. They can be leaders and be perfected by God. If these people get married, is it a good thing or a bad thing? We all say that it is a bad thing. Why is it a bad thing? It will delay them from getting perfected. They will miss the opportunity. This is why it is bad.

Tell me, is it good for you to go through a little suffering now? All of you think it is. There is no such warmth as that of a family having a good time together. You only eat and drink God’s word, pursue the truth, fulfill your duties and coordinate to serve God with brothers and sisters in the church. You pass your days happily without too much suffering. Do you know what the little suffering that you might go through may be? After you express some corruption, you are sometimes rebuked when you read God’s word and go through some torture. You regret, feel remorseful and go through some torture in your heart when you mess things up sometimes. You do not feel good and are embarrassed when you are dealt with and pruned, and you cannot get over it. Are these the sufferings you might go through? Other things like what you are going to eat make little difference, and wherever you choose to eat is fine. Therefore, life in church is the happiest of moments. Eating and drinking God’s word, coordinating to serve God, fulfilling one’s duties and living a corporate life together in church are some of the happiest and most joyful days you can have. Even encountering a little of being dealt with and pruning and others’ rebuke are opportunities for being perfected. We have God’s love and God Himself with us whether we are suffering or enjoying ourselves, and so these are the happiest days we can have. Once you leave the church, get married and have a family, and you put your family as the center of your life and live in the flesh, then the suffering would start to increase. If a person seeks to know God’s will all his life and spends his life completing all the tasks that God has entrusted to him, he is one with a heart and spirit. He is able to be considerate of God’s will and submit to His orchestration and arrangements, and such a person is one who truly follows God. He knows that if man deviates from what God entrusts him with in his life, it is a betrayal of God and being unfaithful and unfilial to Him. That is committing high treason! “Man has a mission in his life. I have to complete what God has entrusted me with. I must fulfill my duties to the best of my abilities. This is the bottom line and the fundamental of living.” When you have understood this, you would begin to work hard in fulfilling your duties and put completing the tasks God has entrusted to you first and foremost. Your life would then have value and meaning. What does having value and meaning refer to? It sounds like a doctrine on the surface, but God’s blessings are contained within. You are already walking on the right path of human life. Do you understand now?

Some people nowadays drift about and do not know what they would do tomorrow. Such people have no foundations. Who knows, they would run away the day a great gust of wind blows by, and they would be uprooted. They would be finished. If you do not take the tasks with which God has entrusted you as your own duties and responsibilities, you would go on the wrong path easily! If you labor your entire life for your family, children, making a living and living your life, your life has no value and meaning. Is that not the case? When you grow old one day, and others say, “What is the greatest consolation of your life? What is your greatest contentment?” “My greatest contentment is that I have earned quite a lot of money in my life, and having raised a number of children and married a few women (or having gotten married to a few men).” Is this meaningful? These are all matters of the flesh, and there is nothing meaningful about them. Some say, “I have believed in God and fulfilled my duties in my life. I have fulfilled a lifetime’s worth of duties.” “Have you fulfilled your duties well?” “I have, in the end. I have done all that I could according to God’s requirements, and in my heart, I am without blame.” Oh, this is a life lived well and it has value. It has conformed to God’s will. Some have spread the gospel all their lives while others have served as leaders in the church all their lives, watering and providing for others. When he is told that someone lacks something or if a new believer has encountered a problem and does not know what to do, he would be most able to communicate the truth. He has supported countless people in his life and those whom he has supported are very satisfied, and they grew quickly in life. Has such a life been lived meaningfully? It has been lived most meaningfully. Take a look at Christ’s life. He has spent His life expressing the truth and completing God’s commission to Him. In addition, He has experienced hardship in the mortal world so as to exempt mankind from suffering in the future. Christ will step up for certain work that man is not able to do. That is, God will do the job personally. That is how Christ lives His life. What about mine? I live for God’s commission to me. I cannot live without what God entrusts me with no matter when, because I would feel that my life has no meaning when I do. I would be a walking corpse, and I would rather die if that were the case. There is no meaning in laboring for the flesh.

Is pursuing the truth a good thing? All of you say that it is. What should you do then? Eat and drink God’s word. Ponder His word when you are free. It won’t work if you do not ponder God’s word. Some people say, “I find that you are rather detailed when you communicate God’s word, whereas I get stuck whenever I try to do the same. I want to say more but I come up short. I have very little to say and have nothing to add when I finish talking. So, when I was speaking I felt diffident: What if I have no more words to say?” What should you do to have things to say in communicating God’s word? Let me tell you, you have to ponder God’s word more. You should ponder His word when you are free. Your hard work will pay off. You would definitely be illuminated if you really put in the effort and truly and sincerely want to understand the truth from God’s word. God favors no one. The more you ponder God’s word, the more illuminated you will be, and you will have more to say when you communicate His word. This is one aspect. The other aspect is that the more you experience and practice God’s word, the more experience and knowledge you would gain. You will then have more to communicate with others when you have more experience and knowledge. In doing so, you would then be overflowing with content! Why does one have things to say when communicating God’s word? There are two aspects to this: One is summarizing your own experiences and knowledge, the other is pondering more over the reality of the truth. To what extent do you have to ponder God’s word before it is enough? It is enough when you have true illumination and a path on which to practice the truth. Your heart will feel more settled when you have illumination and a path. You would be happy and feel a sense of release, that you have not wasted your effort. This is called benefiting greatly from reading and practice. You will have much to say when you communicate God’s word and the truth, if you are equipped with the two aspects. Your content will be rich, and you can say in whatever way as you please and however much you want. You can be fluid and free in your speaking. Some say, “I shall put in practice if that were the case. I will see if what you said is true.” Do so then. I am sure what I said is true. You have found the way out now? The more you understand the truth, you are guaranteed of a path when you go about fulfilling your duties, and you are guaranteed to be able to find your principles. If you do not understand the truth, you would be stuck in contemplation when you encounter difficulties in fulfilling your duties. You would not be able to find a way out however hard you try. How would you feel then? You would feel that it is tough not having the truth. Not having the truth is much tougher than not having money. What is that little difficulty of yours to a person who understands the truth? He can resolve it with a word. There are no problems that he could not resolve.

What does communicating the truth depend on? It depends on experience as well as the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. First of all, you cannot do without experience. Second, you cannot do without the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. Neither of the two can be absent. If you communicate the truth not based on your experience but solely through the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, it will lack something and whatever you try to say is not practical, do you agree? Experience is thus necessary. How do you experience the truth then? You need to experience it immediately. For instance, you are asked to preach a sermon tomorrow, and you do not know what to say. You shall start your experiencing today then, and you will have something to preach about tomorrow. Is this right? Some say, “Isn’t it too late to gain experience now? What does it mean to gain experience now? How do you experience something? Through what matters? Can you gain it immediately?” Let me tell you how to gain it. For instance, you have to experience God’s work immediately, right now. Some say, “How do I do that when I have no duties to fulfill now?” If nothing else, you can start by singing a song, practicing your spiritual devotions or practicing praying first to see how you can experience the work of the Holy Spirit and understand God’s will. Start with these first. “Why didn’t I think of that?” some may say. There are still other things besides these, such as pondering God’s word and practicing being quiet before Him. “That’s right, practice being quiet before God and practice eating and drinking His word. Are these not things we can experience anytime and anywhere?” In addition, when brothers and sisters come to communicate the truth, do not interrupt them and let them finish talking. Listen to them attentively. This is something you need to practice. This is learning to obey, to be rational and to listen when others speak. Is this not practicing? What does this train in you? This is training in obedience, learning obedience when listening to others speak and learning to understand what others say. Is this not experiencing? We should learn to experience even little things like these, and should first practice patience, learn to obey and to be quiet before God, shouldn’t we?

When God asks of man that “you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life,” there are many lessons contained within. Some say, “I am able to fulfill my duties throughout my life.” But it is not easy for you to fulfill your duties well and complete all that God has entrusted to you to satisfy Him! You need to practice and understand a lot of truths and learn many lessons before you can fulfill your duties well. There is a most basic lesson that is the most difficult to learn, and what is that? To cooperate with others. Is it easy to cooperate with others? All said, it isn’t. What kind of people is one able to cooperate well with? Can a person cooperate well with someone who they are the most intimately connected with? Can a husband cooperate well with his wife? All said, no. A husband is even not able to work with his wife. Do you think brothers and sisters can cooperate with one another? Therefore, cooperating together is the hardest thing to do and the most difficult issue to resolve in fulfilling one’s duties to complete God’s commission to us. To do properly your duty throughout your life, if you are unable to cooperate with others, unable to work with anyone at all, you would not then be able to do what this sentence says and achieve the desired effect. Some people are not able to cooperate with others when they are being leaders. Some people are not able to cooperate with others when they spread the gospel. Some people are not able to cooperate with anyone when providing for the church. Some people are not able to cooperate with anyone when they produce a video. Some people are not able to cooperate with others when they dance. Cooperating with others is the hardest thing to do and the most difficult issue to resolve. Many people always raise this issue, saying, “Why am I not able to cooperate with others? What is going on? How do I get around this problem?” In the words of the unbelievers, you have to first learn to behave as a person! Why is this so? Think carefully about it: What is the cause for your inability to cooperate with others? It must surely be that man has corruption and rebellion within, that he is not able to accept the truth and being dealt with and pruned and that he is not able to obey others. That is why he is not able to cooperate with others. In addition, what is the most detestable is that man is arrogant and conceited and looks down on others, and is particularly full of himself, thinking that everything he says is right. He would not accept the things that others say even when he knows that they are right. He remains stubborn to the end. It is such dispositions of Satan that cause man to not be able to cooperate with anyone. Is that not the case?

One needs to learn to obey the truth and one another when cooperating with others. Most of the time, you can obey some of the things that the other party says if there aren’t any problems with what they say. For instance, if the other party does not have the truth and what you communicate does, and he is not able to obey and you two cannot cooperate together, what do you think you should do? He would think, “Why do I have to listen to you in all things? Why don’t you listen to me?” How do you resolve this? You think, “He is right, too. I should try to understand the difficulties of others. He is of a smaller stature. I should listen to him sometimes rather than him listening to me all the time. But how do I do that when nothing he says is right? He doesn’t have the truth either. How do I listen to and obey him?” You can look for outside matters. For example, he says that he wants to eat noodles, but you want to have some buns. Then, you can submit to him on such outside matters. You can say, “All right, let’s go and have noodles.” When you have listened to him a couple of times, he would think, “Oh, you do listen to me, to what I say. I will also consider listening to you as well next time.” Is this not submitting to each other? Is it easier to cooperate with each other this way? You should learn to submit to him on some outside matters. You must not listen to things that are too wrong and that would bring trouble to God’s family. You must counsel him instead. Is this not about having principles? You have to give him exposure sometimes to let him grow some confidence, and he would be happy for that. Sometimes, if he says something right, you can say, “Hey, you’re great! I simply couldn’t understand this, but you got it right the first time. Have you experienced this before?” He would immediately feel a sense of confidence upon hearing this. “He did not look down on me,” he would think. He would be delighted. Is this not a good way to go about it? Some may say, “You are fooling others like they are kids. What’s so good about that?” This is not fooling kids. This is respecting others, coaxing them. You have to learn to coax and take care of them because their stature is small. Do you understand? Should you not do this to kids? They become happy with a little coaxing, and it would become easier to cooperate with them. See? Dealing with people should take wisdom as well! Some people feel weak easily, and being rigid with them wouldn’t do. Do you understand now?

Do not lie and do not deceive. When you really see others doing something right, praise them a little, “You did rather well in this. You really have principle in doing so.” That would do. Do not make it sound hypocritical. Rather, just coax the person a little. All you intend to do is to let his mind be a little more balanced. Don’t expose his shortcomings and say that he is wrong all the time. He would lose his confidence, wouldn’t he? Some women pay particular attention to beauty, and you say, “Why are you so vain all the time?” Oh no, you have hurt her pride! You should say to her, “You were born beautiful, and you look better than others without much effort. How great it is to be naturally beautiful!” She would think upon hearing this, “That’s right. It is better to be naturally beautiful.” She would not be angry then. Isn’t this an issue of means? Some people need this. A person is weaker and more fragile in the first few years when he believes in God. We must praise him from time to time, and sometimes we should just listen to him. There is no right or wrong for outside matters. What right or wrong is there in deciding whether to eat buns or noodles or what mode of transportation to take? The work of God’s family would suffer no loss because of this. Just listen to and go along with him. Isn’t that so? For example, he says, “This is a nice hairstyle.” You say, “No, the other one is nicer.” What’s the point in arguing over that? If he says that hairstyle is nice and you agree with him, wouldn’t he be happy then? You should learn to submit and listen to others in matters where there is no right or wrong and let them have some confidence and not let them be weak or sad. Be especially careful about saying words that hurt their pride. To whom can you say such words when necessary? You may say something stern to a person who has believed in God for many years yet has done things that he should not do as what he has done is infuriating. Do not do so to a new believer as he is fragile. Isn’t that so? This is something to take note of when serving together with others. Learning to submit to one another is very important. Help others have dignity and confidence. Do not expose the shortcomings of others when you speak and open up and expose yourself more. Others will find it easier to accept you that way and they will not worship or be afraid of you anymore. They would be of equal standing with you and would open up to you. In addition, you must learn how to conduct yourself and have wisdom in words and deeds, and you must not restrict others. You must not restrict the person you cooperate with all the time. You should let him have some freedom. We should humble and open up ourselves sometimes, and expose our corruption and inadequacies as well. When he sees that, he would go, “Oh, so you do have inadequacies. You are not that much better than me then. We are about the same.” He would be balanced then, wouldn’t he? Do not always appear to be high up the pedestal and be aloof all your life that others cannot touch you. What would happen when others cannot touch you? You would become an electricity pole, and that would spell trouble. Do not let others look up too much to you. Let them see your normal self. “Oh, this person is rather nice. Though he has his shortcomings, he is still able to submit to others. He would still listen to what I say. Also, he doesn’t restrict others and gives them freedom. He is quite lovely! It’s great to cooperate with him. Why aren’t there more like him? This is the first time I’ve met anyone like that.” Is it good to be such a person? Everybody says yes. Are these not principles? You would be able to cooperate harmoniously with others if you grasp these principles. Would you be able to fulfill your duties well if you are able to work harmoniously with others? Would you be able to complete what God has entrusted to you? Yes, you can. Therefore, the statement “you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you … throughout your life” is not a simple one. You would have to pursue the truth because only after you understand the truth can you do things in accordance with principles.

Take a look at the following words of God, “[A]nd also to submit to all His words.” Submitting to all the words of God means that you are able to submit to all the words of God whether they fit your conceptions or not, whether you are willing to listen to them or not and whether you acknowledge them as the truth or not. Such submission is true submission. It is very important that one submits to everything that God says. Some new believers could not take them when they read God’s stern words of judgment, of which some are curses and some are convictions, and start to have conceptions, and are not able to submit to them. People are able to submit to God’s words of blessings, comfort and promises or even His words of warning. It is only His words of judgment, curses and convictions that they are not able to submit to. What is the problem here? Is the problem not a serious one? In what way is it serious? If a person is not able to submit to all of God’s words, what do you think he is going to do? Some say that he would offend and resist God, and others say that he would judge and profane Him. Can he be brought into the kingdom of God if he did those things? No, he cannot, because he is still one who resists God and is not qualified to enter God’s kingdom. God will deal with him as a Gentile when His work has ended and destroy him as an unbeliever. This is because what God is doing is the work to bring an end to an age, which is to reveal and perfect man using His words and to convict and eliminate man with His words. Therefore, a person who is not able to submit to all of God’s words is one who severely rebels against Him. Not only would such a person have conceptions about God easily, he would also judge and convict God or even say things that profane Him easily. Some people say after reading God’s words, “I don’t believe in the idea of reincarnation, and neither do I believe that Paul is the antichrist.” What is the problem here? This is not believing everything that God says. This is not a person who submits to God. He is still able to resist, judge and convict God in some of His words. If he is able to judge and resist God in some of His words, does he then acknowledge that God who became flesh is indeed the practical God, the manifestation of the one and only true God? Surely he would not. He would doubt so! Does he then acknowledge that God’s word is the truth? He would not. He could only say, “Some of God’s words are the truth, but some of them don’t appear to be so. I can say that they aren’t the truth.” See? His conception is like that of an unbeliever. Are these not the words that profane God? When God’s work eventually comes to an end, whether man is able to submit to all of God’s words is a measure of whether he has the reality of truth as well as a most basic criterion of whether he is a person who truly submits to God.

God says, “[A]nd also to submit to all His words.” It means that you acknowledge all of God’s words to be the truth and are able to submit to them. For instance, you have your own reasoning on a certain matter and think that you are right. Just as you thought that you are right, someone communicates what he knows and his words touch you, “Oh, his words show that he has better understanding and it truly conforms to the truth. My words are too superficial and have deviated somewhat!” Who is right and who is wrong has already been reflected in your heart, and what should you do at this point? Can you come down from your pedestal? It would spell trouble if you are not able to. You will suffer setbacks sooner or later. When you hear others communicate things that conform to God’s word and are the truth and which are better than what you communicate, submit quickly then and say, “You are right. What you have communicated is true while what I have communicated is my conception and imagining. I accept the reality of the truth that you have talked about from now on because what you said conforms to God’s word and will. I will submit.” Is it good to take this position? Do you dare to take this position? Why do you not accept it when what others have said is better than what you have said? When others have understood correctly and their understanding is better than mine, I will say, “You are right. There is deviation in what I have said. I accept what you have said. Don’t listen to what I have said, everyone. Ignore it.” I can do that, and that is what I do sometimes. Who among you can do that? I am able to come down from my high position, and so why can’t you? The fact that you can’t shows that you are standing in an even higher position. What embarrassment are you afraid of if you are not at a high position? Submitting to the truth is an honor, not an embarrassment. Why is it so hard to come down from there? What is going on? You are trying to save face, but the more you do so the more embarrassed you would be, so stop it. “You are right. I would feel that I am right if you hadn’t said that, but I am clear in my heart once you have. You are right. I accept what you said and give up my position.” What does saying this show? It shows that you are not arrogant and self-righteous and have truly submitted. It has at least shown these two aspects. It is clear just from this that you are a person who submits to God. You are able to submit to the truth anytime. As for the least of brothers and sisters, when his words are out of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination and his fellowship conforms completely to the truth, you are able to accept and submit to them, and this shows you are one who truly submits to God. So, in combination with the words of God that we communicated, is being able to submit to all the words of God related to this? It is so when we practice it on the matters that we encounter. We shall submit to whoever says things that conform to the truth in all matters of dispute and debate. Even if we have understood things wrongly before, even if we have reasoned fallaciously and have confounded everyone and bragged for a while, the moment we discover the words that are truly the result of the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, we can prostrate ourselves immediately in acceptance and submission. This is the expression of life, isn’t it? This is the reality of submission! If a person is able to do this, would he not be able to submit to all the words of God? He would. Some people say, “I have no conception about the words of God at all. I am able to submit regardless of whether I understand them or not, whether I have practiced them or not, whether I have experienced them or not and whether I know them or not, and I acknowledge God’s words to be the truth.” Is the person counted as being able to submit to all the words of God simply by saying this? Some say it doesn’t count. Why not? He has no experience, and it must be proven by experience. When is it the most difficult for man to submit? It is when he is especially arrogant and self-righteous, thinks that what he says is right and does not submit to others no matter how right they may be. If he suddenly receives words of enlightenment from the Holy Spirit at that moment and encounters words of true knowledge and is able to submit, that would not be simple, and that is called the reality of submission! Most people would not be able to come down from the pedestal at that time because they do not want to be embarrassed. If one can submit at that time, do you think everyone would look down on and laugh at him or approve of him in their hearts? God’s chosen people would approve of him in their hearts. It is only the unbelievers and those who belong to Satan the devil who would laugh at him. Upon seeing this, God’s chosen people would say, “I have seen what the reality of submission is today. I haven’t been able to find an actual example of this in the past and was at a loss of words when I had to talk about what is meant by submission and did not know what example to give. I have found one today that can explain the issue well.” I was very obstinate in the past, and I always thought that whatever I said was right when I was obstinate. I always thought what I did was right and that should be the way I did it, and so I refused to listen to what others said. I was really obstinate. It is not that we do things without reason but that we give sufficient consideration to every aspect of the matter. We might be right most of the time but we get things wrong sometimes. We might not know it then, but we know we were wrong after the fact. We can derive a lesson from here: Do not be too self-righteous when we think that we have done something right. Leave some room for correction! If you cannot accept it when someone raises a differing opinion, you have to look into it properly instead of rejecting it blindly. This is what I have summarized from the many failures that I have gone through. Is this not something that we have to go through?

[Y]ou never make blasphemous remarks or complaints against God throughout your life,” and “you are able to discharge properly all that He has entrusted to you and also to submit to all His words throughout your life.” The sentences above are God’s requirements of His chosen ones. Just these sentences. Did God say that these are His requirements of His chosen ones? Why did I say that they are when He did not say so? We have to understand much of God’s word for this before we can say that these are God’s requirements of His chosen ones. We have to understand what God’s chosen people are and what is meant by service-doers. We should only dare to say it when we have understood these things thoroughly. If you do not understand these things thoroughly and do not understand God’s administrative decrees, do you dare to say that these are God’s requirements of His chosen ones? No, you don’t! There is life, the reality of life, in the three sentences! Are you able to do so if you do not have the truth? No, you aren’t. So, these words do not refer to the service-doers, but God’s chosen people. They can also be said to refer to overcomers. Are there any grounds for saying this? There are. If you are able to find the grounds, it proves that you understand and know God’s word.

Now, if you want to achieve the three requirements of God, but you always live in the flesh and are restricted by it so that you do not pursue the truth, are you then able to satisfy God? If you are not able to live out even one of the three requirements and do not gain anything in the end, you would be in danger. Let me tell you, if you are able to achieve the three requirements, you will be one of the people of God’s kingdom. This is the minimum you will be. A step up would be an overcomer. If you are truly able to achieve the three requirements, can you be said to have been perfected? You can totally say that you are one who has been perfected. What kind of promise will be for the perfected? What kind of blessing will the perfected have? It is then worth all the sufferings. It would be worth going through these many years of suffering again or even a lifetime of suffering. Isn’t that the case? What God will give to you in future, what you would gain, would be a hundred or a thousand times more than what you have asked for and imagined. If you really live a married life, putting aside whether you are able to gain the truth, would you even be able to gain some real skills and true abilities? No, you wouldn’t. Aren’t all these the grace of God? God does not just perfect you so that you can understand the truth and enter into reality, He also nurtures you to learn all kinds of professional knowledge and even perfects you so that you may gain true abilities! You get such exercise opportunities in God’s family. Can you get them if you return to the world? You must see this thoroughly. Thus, all that God has expended and deployed today is for the sake of perfecting His chosen ones. While you are not looking for a life partner and are not staying at home to enjoy a comfortable life, you have gained so much and so abundantly! These are all God’s love, His great love descending upon us! Is that not so? God has predestined before the ages this group of people to come on earth in the last days to experience His work and fulfill their duties. They would all be perfected in the end and understand many truths. They all gain true abilities and are able to fulfill their duties and witness God properly. Finally, God gives these people a promise, a blessing. When the millennial kingdom has come, these people will enter the kingdom and become its people and live happily ever after! How do you think that man would feel when the kingdom of heaven comes and God gives all the riches of heaven to the world, to mankind? People say now, “I wonder what it’s like to enjoy some of heaven’s blessings, a city of gems and grounds paved with gold. I have never seen it before.” How would man feel when he actually sees it? What joy and happiness he would experience! “I have really never expected God’s blessing to be so great! I never thought the kingdom of heaven would be this good! Ah, I should have suffered a little more at that time and learned more skills if I knew!” You can only think this way at that time. When you see that, you would think how great God’s love is! When do you think God would truly reveal Himself to man? He will do so when the millennial kingdom comes. God has only revealed to man Himself now by becoming flesh. He has only revealed His word and proclaimed His word through His incarnate flesh, and we already feel that God’s love is so great. We have gained so abundantly and enjoy so much of God’s word, but the religious people are still eating and drinking thousands of years of decayed words in the church, and they still feel good about it. If they were to enjoy the living wellspring flowing from the throne of God today, wouldn’t they go crazy with joy? However, they don’t get to enjoy it. Why is that so in your view? This is the wonder of God’s deeds, isn’t it? We are therefore now attending a feast in the kingdom of heaven together with God! It is like we have been lifted up to the sky and meet God in the clouds. Our image has changed in an instant. What does our image having changed in an instant refer to? It means in a blink of an eye. Are twenty or thirty years not an instant with God? Our image has changed in an instant, in twenty or thirty years, in a blink of an eye, and we have been perfected and obtained the truth. And so, all the sufferings we have been through in the last twenty or thirty years have been worth it! You see, all those who have been following God to this day have experienced what true submission really is. They have seen the reality of truth as well as the fruits of God’s word and work. They have seen the abundance of seeds, and the seeds have matured. Can the religious people see all these? They cannot even though they live in the same world as us and are not far away from us, where we might even come face to face on the streets sometimes. We, however, have seen them. God’s work is simply so wonderful! The closer God’s work gets to the end, the more you know about God, the more clearly you can see the fruits of God’s work, and the more you understand His will and see clearly the fact of God’s word accomplishing all. Is this not having achieved the effect of knowing God? This is coming face to face with God, and such a person is one who has been perfected. Therefore, as long as you are able to focus on and pay attention to the truth, what you gain at the end is guaranteed to be increasingly greater.
