121 Only If One Knows God Can He Fear God and Shun Evil

Verse 1

To shun evil, you must learn to fear God.

To attain fear, you must learn about God.

To learn of God you must practice His words,

tasting His judgment and discipline.

Chorus

The fear of God and shunning evil

has a myriad of threads of connection,

connection with the knowledge of God.

Only if one knows God can he fear God and shun evil.

Verse 2

To put God’s words into practice,

you must come face to face with God and with His words.

Ask God to prepare your surroundings,

so that you can experience His words.

Chorus

The fear of God and shunning evil

has a myriad of threads of connection,

connection with the knowledge of God.

Only if one knows God can he fear God and shun evil.

Verse 3

To be face to face with God’s word,

you will need an honest heart, the will to accept truth.

It needs your desire to be a real man,

your will to suffer, to shun evil.

Chorus

The fear of God and shunning evil

has a myriad of threads of connection,

connection with the knowledge of God.

Only if one knows God can he fear God.

the value of your being will thrive.

More pure, your heart will become;

your life will shine, meaningful and bright.
