110. The Principles of How to Treat Leaders and Workers Who Transgress

1. You should correctly treat leaders and workers who seek the truth but transgress, and help them with a loving heart. You must not attack or condemn them, or make false charges against them;

2. If a leader or worker goes against work arrangements and they work by their own self-will, then you may fellowship the truth with them or prune and deal with them, to give them the opportunity to repent;

3. You should help and support with a loving heart leaders and workers who have a good humanity, a good caliber and shallow experience, who may have transgressed, but who are worth cultivating;

4. Leaders and workers who have committed serious transgressions that have caused severe loss to the work or property of God’s family must be replaced, unless they truly repent.

Relevant Words of God:

In actual fact, everyone has some blemishes on them that have merely not been looked into. Everyone has them, some have small ones, some have large ones; some speak plainly, and some hide their intentions and work in secret. Everyone has them; some people do things that others know about and some people do things that others don’t know about. There are blemishes on everyone and they all reveal some corrupt dispositions, like arrogance or conceit, or they make some transgressions, or some mistakes or errors in their work, or they show some small rebelliousness. These are all pardonable things as they are things that no corrupted person can avoid.

God does not treat people based on their transgressions. As long as you are able to not rebel again and not resist again after you have understood and are aware, then God will still have mercy on you. When you have this understanding and the will to pursue being perfected by God, then your condition in God’s presence will be normal.

The Man’s Fellowship:

Some of people’s transgressions can be forgiven, while some transgressions are unforgivable. What is that based on? It is based on the context that brought about this transgression, on whether you understood just what you were doing. If you knowingly transgress that is grave. If you commit the transgression before you have understood the truth, then undergo pruning and dealing and change after you understand the truth, that is a transgression that is forgiven. If you don’t change after dealing and pruning but repeat the transgression that is unforgivable. Therefore, God manages things in a principled way also. The work that He does is primarily in order to save people, to do the utmost to save people. Tell me whether anyone has not transgressed? Everyone has, but to varying degrees. Some people have transgressed to a lesser degree and then changed after they understood so they don’t do such a thing anymore, as in the saying, “Once bitten, twice shy.” They have learned their lesson, never to do that again, and in this matter have no transgressions. In this matter, if you seek the truth and practice the truth you can satisfy God.

Thirdly, remember, it’s nearly impossible for anyone to avoid making errors at work, so if you find transgressions or errors, always seize the opportunity to reflect on yourself. Go before God, check and analyze your actions against God’s word, and try to avoid repeating your transgressions in the future. … Why do leaders have to meet periodically to receive pruning and dealing? Because this is most helpful and beneficial. But the most important thing is that we must seek more understanding of the truth in God’s word.

2. God’s Chosen People Must Treat the Transgressions and Mistakes of Leaders and Workers of All Levels Correctly

As mankind is too deeply corrupted, before one is perfected, everyone has transgressions, revelations of corruption, commits mistakes in fulfilling their duties, or even walks the wrong path. This is an accepted fact. However, God’s house gives all leaders and workers a chance to repent no matter how they have transgressed. As long as they are someone who pursues the truth, has the work of the Holy Spirit, has a good humanity and reputation, and can admit their mistakes and transgressions, have true remorse, and sincerely repent, God’s chosen people should accept, believe and support them, and all need to treat them correctly and respect reality.

Since leaders and workers of all levels of the church are produced through democratic church elections, most of them are surely suitable and only a small few cannot actually do real work. The situations of leaders and workers can be grouped into three types: The first type clearly have the work of the Holy Spirit and are completely qualified; the second type can do some real work but have transgressions and revelations of corruption; the third type cannot do real work and don’t have the work of the Holy Spirit.

These are the three types of situations that inevitably exist among leaders and workers. God’s chosen people should learn to discern them. They can only expose and report the third type—false leaders and false workers who don’t do real work and don’t have the work of the Holy Spirit. The second type—leaders and workers who can do some real work but have transgressions and revelations of corruption—should be treated correctly and only be assisted with lovingkindness, but must not be attacked, condemned or framed. There are surely relatively fewer of the first type—leaders and workers who are completely qualified and have the work of the Holy Spirit. These people are the most precious and must be extra protected; no one is permitted to attack, condemn or frame them. Currently, there are too few suitable leaders and workers. The majority are in the second type of situation and can do some real work but have transgressions and revelations of corruption. God’s chosen people should treat them correctly. Assisting them with lovingkindness is most important, because right now, having leaders and workers who can do some real work is already pretty good. Transgressions and revelations of corruption can completely be resolved through fellowshiping about the truth, pruning and dealing, so they must not be attacked, condemned, or further excluded or replaced. As long as they are people who pursue the truth and have relatively good humanity, they must be protected; don’t let wicked people get something on them or arbitrarily attack or frame them. As long as a leader or worker who can do some real work has good humanity and pursues the truth, they can certainly be saved and perfected. As most leaders and workers have not experienced much serious pruning and dealing or major trials and refinements, it is normal for them to have transgressions and revelations of corruption and does not mean they are a bad or wicked person. Hence, they must not be arbitrarily replaced or expelled. Only those whose humanity is malicious and can commit all manner of evil are people who should be banned and dismissed from their posts.

No one has the right to keep badgering leaders and workers who have already admitted, regretted and repented for their past transgressions and erroneous ways. If the problem has already been resolved and the person has also truly confessed and repented, then the matter is settled. Not letting it go and continuing to fiercely pursue the matter is regarded as making trouble out of nothing, personal retribution, and attacking, framing and condemning leaders and workers. God’s house certainly won’t allow it. If a wicked person is found to be unreasonably badgering a leader or worker, the matter must be investigated and handled seriously. The church has the right to segregate or expel wicked people who intentionally attack or frame leaders and workers.

False leaders and antichrists are the minority. Although the majority of leaders and workers have weaknesses, expose corruption, and occasionally take the wrong path, they are willing to repent and have the work of the Holy Spirit, and God’s chosen people should support them, uphold them, cooperate with them, and encourage them. If a leader does something wrong or has done some transgressions, how should you treat them? You should help them, treat them with love and forgiveness, allow them to repent, allow them to recognize their mistake, and allow them to walk the correct path. This is the responsibility of God’s chosen people.

God’s chosen people ought to understand how to treat workers and leaders at all levels. They must be able to distinguish good from evil and good people from evildoers. These are fundamental abilities God’s chosen people should possess. If we see that a leader or worker is a good person, but has committed some transgressions or done something wrong, we should treat the matter correctly and help him in a spirit of love. We absolutely must not seize upon these mistakes or transgressions, stick labels on him, and smite him, because to do so is to falsely accuse and harm others. Good people also have transgressions and have done the wrong thing, but good people can repent and change. So, good people, no matter what transgressions and errors we discover, must be treated with love and assistance. As long as they can accept the truth, come to know themselves, and repent, the due effect will have been achieved. If we seize upon the transgressions of leaders and workers and refuse to let go, if we insist on ruining them, is this not also oppressing and punishing others? This is no different from the punishment and mistreatment of false leaders. God’s chosen people should not punish or mistreat others, and their leaders and workers should punish or mistreat others even less so. God’s chosen people should correctly treat leaders and workers, and leaders and workers should correctly treat God’s chosen people. We should aid one another in a spirit of love, because this is the course of normal human relationships, as well as a sign of entry into the realities of truth.

Those who are considered by the majority of people to have relatively good humanity and have done relatively less evil, but cannot do actual work because they have only believed in God for a short period of time and don’t understand the truth: if their caliber is relatively good and they have cultivational value, they may be first arranged to be a worker and further cultivated, but cannot be made a leader for the time being; if their caliber is relatively poor and they don’t have cultivational value, then they must be replaced and arranged to fulfill other duties.

Any leader or worker who routinely oppresses, punishes or mistreats God’s chosen people is certain to possess evil humanity, and should be dismissed and isolated for self-reflection. Those who do not truly repent should be dealt with as evildoers. This is entirely in accordance with the truth and God’s will.

Those amongst the leaders and workers from all levels who have committed derelictions of duty must be handled with severity, and the individuals involved must write a letter of repentance before they are allowed to continue their work; those serious offenders who have caused major damage to the work or the finances of God’s house must be dismissed, or even expelled.
