How to Enter Into the Reality of the Truth?

If people have many impurities within them, ought not these impurities to be resolved? When you lack status, there is a question over whether you are able to perform your duty like now. Ought you not to be clear whether you can perform your duty and uphold the work of God like now when you are not a leader? If you are a leader of the church and no one ever has a smile for you, and there are those who deal with you, who disdain you, and laugh at you, are you still capable of loyalty unto God? This is a real problem, is it not? Some people are only ardent in performing their duty when surrounded by the sound of flattery; when others look pleased to see them, and greet them with a smile, they work hard, and are insensible to adversity—and because of this, they believe they are loyal to God. But is such loyalty dependable? Can you still be like that when no one ever smiles at you, and there are those who make assertions about you and vilify you, who even say that you have personal motivations and aims, that your performance of your duty and expenditure for God are disingenuous, and not commemorated by God? Can you still be loyal to God then? Can you still perform your duty? Can you still pursue the truth and try to correct your mistakes? If so, then you are loyal to God, you are one who genuinely pursues the truth, who hungers and thirsts for righteousness, and you will surely be saved and made perfect. If someone only performs their duty amidst the sound of praise, when everyone applauds them, flatters them, compliments them, and looks pleased to see them, then there is no dependability in this. Some people think to themselves, “What does the man used by the Holy Spirit think of me? If he thinks well of me, then there is hope for me. If not, then I’d better give up; if he does not think well of me, if he deals with me, then I’ll become negative and won’t perform my duty.” What of such people? Do they possess true stature? They are under the influence of a person. Is it reasonable to say that when the man used by the Holy Spirit looks favorably upon you, you possess the truth? It is not. The man used by the Holy Spirit is a man; he is not God. The way he acts toward people in certain matters does not represent God, and if he deals with and prunes you, this merely shows that God’s love has come upon you, and you should accept it from God, for this is right. What does it show if he does not deal with you, if he never deals with you? That you’re troublesome: Your stature has yet to be revealed. Or else it shows that your stature is too small. Do you think it good that you are not dealt with? It is not. For some people, it’s a good thing when they are dealt with; it is beneficial to the growth of their life. Though it may appear bad to man, anything that makes your life grow and allows you to stand firm is actually good. Anything that does not make your life grow, or that makes you fall down, or makes you passive, and makes you fail, and that will distance you from God and make you forsake God, and turn your back on God, is actually bad—even if it appears good. Is this not the right way of viewing things? Do not view things from the conceptions of man. The way you see things must be based on whether they are beneficial and edifying to the growth of your life; looking at things from this perspective is in accordance with God’s will. Some people keep being dealt with. The above deals with them, and the church’s leaders and workers also deal with them, so that they are subjected to hardship, refinement and torment. For a time they are negative and weak, there is darkness within their hearts and they cannot find the path, but a day finally comes when, with the work of the Holy Spirit, and with the guidance of the words of God, they have a path, and they have faith. So what do you say, is it good or bad that such things befall them and they suffer this hardship? You must see clearly that what outwardly causes pain and refinement to the flesh is beneficial to the growth of life; it is good. Today, there are those who have experienced certain things—particularly those who have undergone certain dealing and pruning, and have experienced being directly dealt with by the above—and such people sense that their faith in God has taken a turn for the better, that they have reached a turning point in their entry into life, and only then are they aware of the importance of pursuing the truth and entering into the reality. They sense just how vague, empty, and bereft of reality their belief in God used to be, and that it was not the path. So what do you think now, is dealing and pruning a good thing? Some say, “It is a good thing when someone is dealt with and pruned by the above.” But is it a good thing when you are denounced or dealt with and pruned by brothers and sisters? It is. It is always a good thing when your corrupt flesh is subjected to hardship and refinement. What’s the key? Whether you are someone who pursues the truth; if you really are someone who pursues the truth, then it is always something good. Some people ask, “Is it a good thing or a bad thing that my mother and father died?” If the death of your mother and father caused your life to grow then this, too, is a good thing; if they did not die and your life never grew then that would not be a good thing. Is this not the case? This is objective experience; we’ve no choice in the consequences of what happens to us. When parents die, this is an environment that is set by God, and is not something that people can choose. So, in your heart, you should thank God for removing these hurdles and obstacles from in front of you, for allowing you to serve God full-time. This is an environment set by God, it is done by God, and is not something that people ask for; all that is arranged by God and of God’s will is good, and its ultimate effect is positive. So today, is it a good thing or a bad thing when there are certain environments that cause trouble and interference in our work? As long as you search for the truth, such environments will turn into something good—but if you do not search for the truth, they will become something that stands in your way, a stone that trips you up. If you are someone who pursues the truth, then in the end, even if you have to go through all the adversities, and endure all kinds of hardships, nothing will stand in your way, and you will ultimately reach your destination. Is this not good? If you are not someone who pursues the truth, then as soon as you encounter an adversity, it will knock you down, it will stop you cold, and you will forever be apart from God. And so, when you find yourself in certain environments, you’ll have no way of making it through them if you are without the truth, and if you lack faith. God uses these difficulties to make our faith perfect, to allow us to gain the truth and the true knowledge of God, which ultimately make our lives grow—so what have these obstacles and difficulties become? They serve to help our lives grow. Is this not something good? Without such environments, obstacles, and difficulties, could your life grow? Could you gain so many truths? Could you gain so much wisdom? You could not. And so, environments where everything goes smoothly, in which there is only peace and tranquility, such environments cannot edify people, they cannot make them perfect. Is this not so? To perform their duty well, people are always looking for an environment where everything goes smoothly, one in which there is not the slightest adversity, and every aspect fits with their conceptions and imagination—but could they be made perfect under such circumstances? They could not. And so when various difficulties, tribulations, and obstacles befall us, if they ultimately cause us to gain the truth, and wisdom, and in the end, we come to know the omnipotence of God, and the work of God, we come to understand God’s will, and see God’s love, then such situations become something good—and when they do, these experiences become our true testimony to God. Some people ask: “Is being arrested a good thing? Is suffering persecution and tribulation a good thing?” It is. What is caused in us when we are in a hostile environment for a long time? True faith and endurance. Without true faith, we would long since have fallen down; without true faith, who would risk their lives in the pursuit of the truth? No one. Is it OK to have no faith? In such environments, people start to ask themselves whether this is the true way, or if it is a false way. If it is the true way, one in which they can truly be saved and made perfect, it is worth it no matter how much hardship they must endure. If it is the false way, then it is not worth it. And so, the more dangerous an environment is, the tougher it is, and the more adversity it involves, the more people search for the truth, and the more they search whether this is the true way or a false way, the more carefully they look into God’s words, and the more they pursue the truth—and when they understand the truth, and gain the work of the Holy Spirit, they have faith in God. Look: Has their faith not grown as a result? Such environments force you to pursue the truth and examine the true way, because of which there is born in you true faith, ultimately causing you to say, “I shall believe to the very end, even if I have to die.” What is this? This is true faith. The unbelievers say, “You fools, is it worth it taking such a big risk to believe in a vague God?” And you reply, “I am not stupid. Could I have such belief if I hadn’t thought it through? Do you think I’m stupid?” See, in such environments, does your faith not grow the more it is tempered? Besides, our endurance is produced. The great red dragon, this devil, does all those bad things, and we despise it, but can’t beat it; what do we do? There’s nothing we can do except to endure. We hold but one conviction: Those who endure to the end will be saved. Enduring against the great red dragon, we must pursue the truth, pursue the knowledge of God, and as we endure on and on, we gain the truth, and our determination grows ever greater. And what does such endurance create in us? The ability to endure is one of the most important elements of humanity, and so how extraordinary such endurance is: It shows stamina in your life, and that you are able to suffer hardship. In order to carry out God’s will, in order to gain the truth, and in order to achieve salvation, you are capable of enduring every hardship and injustice. What kind of life is this? This is a life of truth, of purpose, of great wisdom. It is not one of myopia. Such is the wisdom required by those who do great things; they must be able to tolerate anything, and possessed of the utmost endurance. God’s endurance is even greater. Our endurance is born from the persecution of the great red dragon. Thus, we’ll no longer be so frail, we’ll be able to suffer every manner of hardship, and countless travails will not bring us down; in the end, we’ll still stand firm. So what do you think, are people like this really strong? Such people have truth and humanity. Could such endurance be produced in a comfortable environment? In such environments, there is no means for our endurance to be made perfect. When there is freedom of belief—people are free to believe in God without any restrictions—how could we come to possess endurance? Only in the environment of the great red dragon’s persecution can endurance be created in us. It is the perfect environment to make us perfect. Now you see why the great red dragon is permitted to wield power, yes? This was ordained by God, that the great red dragon would be used to render such service, yes? When God’s chosen ones are made perfect, the great red dragon’s service will have reached its end, and God shall begin to punish the great red dragon, first toppling and destroying it in China. Do you see that these days have now arrived? …

Some people say, “I only listen to God. I obey only God, and do not do as anyone else says.” And by doing so, they can enter the reality of the truth more quickly, and be made perfect as soon as possible. Do such people exist? Is this not what the antichrists say? And which of them have been made perfect? They might say they have been made perfect, but they have made themselves antichrists. For all who say, “I shall only obey God; I won’t listen to anyone else, I shall only listen to God,” the more they say such words, the more they oppose God. To outward appearances, such words appear right, but what about in substance? They oppose God most of all, for God calls on them to obey the man used by the Holy Spirit yet they do not; God appoints this man to lead people, yet they do not do as He asks. No one opposes God more than they do, and so, though they may seem to listen to God and obey God the most, in fact, they oppose God most of all—yes? For such people only obey the surface of God’s words, and do not obey the substance of His words. God’s words ask that in addition to obeying Christ, in the work of the church people must obey the man used by the Holy Spirit. Such words are included in God’s administrative decrees, and if they do not keep them, they are violating God’s administrative decrees, and leaving the Holy Spirit without means of working. Thus, they oppose God most of all. What is manifested in those who truly fear God and obey God’s words? They say, “I shall obey whatever is said by God’s words. I shall obey all of God’s words, including His words that people must obey the leadership of the man used by the Holy Spirit—I shall obey it all, for these are the words of God.” Saying this is entirely correct. Not only does it outwardly conform to God’s words, but it also conforms to God’s words in substance. Where was Paul’s opposition to God manifested? On the surface, he complied with and obeyed God’s words, yet he opposed their substance; he was in defiance of the inner enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, and had become someone who opposed God. Is being someone who obeys God as simple as people imagine? This is a very important truth. The truth has its own inherent reality. Do not violate the reality of the truth; if one violates the reality of the truth, he violates the substance of the truth. Do not think that if what one says seems outwardly right, in accordance with God’s words, and in line with people’s conceptions, then he obeys God. In fact, such people oppose God most of all, no one is more dangerous, and they are antichrists—you see this now, yes? Is it really that easy to enter the reality of the truth? Based on the conceptions and imaginings of man, to outward appearances such words seem right; in fact, they violate the truth, they oppose God. People can’t discern, and don’t see through it. Do you think these antichrists clever or foolish? Now you see, yes? Do you think it truly is easy for there to occur changes in the life disposition of someone who has the nature of an antichrist, who submits to no one? What things must they undergo? They must undergo the judgment and chastisement of God’s words. And to what extent must they experience the judgment and chastisement of God’s words? They must gain the true knowledge of the substance of their nature and the true fact of their corruption. Only when they truly know themselves and truly see what they are will their experience and knowledge of God’s words have passed the test. Also, they must undergo dealing and pruning. What is the effect achieved by dealing and pruning? One will listen to whoever’s words conform to the truth, and only choose what conforms to the truth, not who’s saying it. “Regardless of who deals with me and reproaches me, if what they say accords with the truth, then I will obey; regardless of what they look like, or how lacking in knowledge they are, if what they say conforms to the truth, I will listen and obey. I don’t see myself as high and mighty, I’m nothing. Right now, I see everyone as better than me. As long as they are able to practice and obey the truth, then even if they’re an uneducated person, they’re still better than me, for in my nature I oppose God. If they can obey God, then I shall submit to them.” When you are dealt with and pruned to this point, then the effect is achieved. At this point, your arrogance and self-righteousness have disappeared, and you ultimately say to yourself, “Even if my leader is a twenty-year-old youngster, if he has the experience, then I’ll obey him. If a 15 or 16-year-old girl is leader and able to fellowship the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, then I’ll obey her, too.” Do you think such obedience easy? Can people do it with a burst of hard effort? This is only something you can achieve after experiencing failure, dealing and pruning many times. Only then will you truly see what you are, and truly know yourself, and no longer will you think so highly of yourself; you will cease to trust yourself, and as a result, you will cease to be self-righteous. I, too, used to be arrogant and conceited, and would bow to no one. When I think of that time now, I see how deeply corrupted I was—just like you are today. When I underwent God’s dealing and pruning, and was directly exposed by His words, it was agonizingly painful, and I cried many secret tears, but bit by bit I came to know myself, and to despise myself, and in the end I began to deny myself and ceased to trust myself. I listened to whoever said what was right, I felt that it was better to listen to others than to listen to myself, and sometimes what others said seemed wrong, yet I also thought that if parts of it were right, I should listen—and, having reached this point, my arrogance and self-righteousness disappeared. To resolve our arrogance and self-righteousness we must suffer much pain, and shed many tears. And so today, I respect whoever has been elected leader. I say, “Though they seem unremarkable in appearance, they have their strengths.” And when I discover that someone has transgressed, I do not only focus on their transgressions, for it is normal for them to transgress, and they undoubtedly have their strong points, too—it’s just that I haven’t found out what they are yet. When I regard people correctly, do not underestimate them, and do not always think highly of myself, I am capable of respecting others. So I can give thought to what others say, and do not blindly deny them. I do not dare trust what I imagine, and think that I could be wrong, that I may make a mistake. “Before, did I not always trust that I was right—and did this not end in failure?” So I do not dare trust myself. Even when I’ve thought something through, I do not dare trust myself, and am always doubtful. When someone says something that sounds wrong, I dare not completely deny that it is right, and when someone says something that sounds right, I dare not believe that it is absolutely right, and I am constantly searching and examining, and, in particular, I do not dare to believe that I am right—preferring to trust others, and not trusting myself, not daring to believe that I am right and correct even when I trust others and it ends in failure. When what you experience has reached this point, then you’re more or less there. You don’t trust your subjective opinions. You’re not even sure about the things you’re certain of. Yours is a state of utter denial of yourself, and you dare not be too trusting. If something someone else says sounds a little off, still you are willing to give it a little consideration, to trust in it a little more; it’s better to trust others than to trust yourself, there’s more surety in this, and you won’t end up taking the wrong path. You must experience dealing and pruning to this point, for all who are too sure of themselves have not experienced enough dealing and pruning. Is entry into life not accomplished by experiencing? People whose experiences are too shallow have gained nothing. They have neither truth nor reality. Those whose experiences are profound can grasp the reality of the truth, and at such times their practice of the truth is right, and they are possessed of reality.
