Sermons and Fellowship Regarding God’s Word “It Is Very Important to Establish a Proper Relationship With God”
You Must Give Your Heart to God in Order to Establish a Proper Relationship with God
God said, “People believe in God, love God, and satisfy God by touching the Spirit of God with their heart, thereby obtaining His satisfaction; when engaging with God’s words with their heart, they are therefore moved by the Spirit of God.” What is mentioned here? It mentions the following wording: “touching the Spirit of God,” “engaging with God’s words,” and “with their heart.” What does “with their heart” mean? If after you have finished reading these words, you do not know what this means, that indicates that you normally do not believe in God with your heart. Now, what can you do well without using your heart? Whatever you do, you must use your heart. If you do not do things with your heart, you are simply going through the motions. Sometimes, as we believe in, love and satisfy God, we encounter this situation. For instance, when a person practices loving God, even though externally, it seems as if he is not doing anything, however, inside, his heart is close to God. His heart is touching the Spirit of God. As his heart draws near to God, he becomes moved to tears. After he finishes crying, he feels remorse over himself. He sees that what he has done does not satisfy God and he starts to hate himself. These are the manifestations of using one’s heart to touch God. What do you notice that he has done? Externally, his hands and feet have not moved. Now, why is it that he would cry? Why is it that he feels remorse and hates himself? Aren’t these the results of using one’s heart to touch God? If you do not use your heart, would you be able to be moved by the Holy Spirit? Would you be able to know yourself? Can you have true remorse? If you do not use your heart when you read God’s words and pray to God, you will not achieve any results. Therefore, using your heart is crucial. Now, just how do you use your heart? For example, regardless if you are fulfilling your duties, pondering the truth or praying to God, if you draw near to God with your heart, you will start to use your heart and ponder, “Just what does it mean to love God? Does my heart have love for God? Where in my heart is my love for God? When did I love God? Which things did I do out of a love for God? Am I actually someone that loves God? Do I have the manifestations of loving God? Are there times when I have loved God?” This is what it means to use your heart to ponder. For instance, someone is dealing with you or after you have finished fulfilling your duties, you feel that you simply just went through the motions. Your heart feels like you are being blamed. At this time, you should pray to God and touch God with your heart. Your heart will feel, “Oh, how could I be going through the motions when I fulfilled my duties? What was going through my head when I was fulfilling my duties? Under what circumstances was I going through the motions? With what kind of motivation did I do so? What was going through my head when I started to go through the motions?” This is how you should get to the heart of the matter. Afterward, think back and recall, “This was what I was thinking about. This heart indeed does not have love for God. It is not a heart that loves God. Why was I thinking like this then?” You will discover that at that time, your heart did not love God. It was disobeying God. There was a thought or perspective that was controlling you and causing you to simply go through the motions. As such, you should think, “How can my heart become able to love God? God loves me. He has paid such a big price in order to save me. The Holy Spirit frequently enlightens, illuminates and guides me. He also disciplines, prunes and deals with me. The purpose for all of this is to help me pursue the truth and attain salvation. This is God’s love. In order to save me, God has suffered so much. Why is it that I do not have a heart that loves God?” This is what you should think of continuously. After you have finished thinking about this, read two passages of God’s words and ponder them again. You will unknowingly obtain the light through pondering. Then you will come to your senses and know how to love God. You will understand what is true love and you will be moved by the Holy Spirit. At this time, you will have achieved results and you will have figured it out. You will have a clear understanding of this matter. Afterward, you will know that whatever you do, you must use your heart. You must use your heart to fulfill your duties, pursue the truth and pray to God. Only through using your heart will you be able to feel God’s love. Only then will you understand how lovable God is. Only then will you understand the truth. Using your heart is crucial. When man does not use his heart, the Holy Spirit cannot do His work in him. Under what circumstances does man not use his heart? Think back a little. Sometimes, when you were fulfilling your duties, your heart was not quiet before God. Your heart was far from God. It was as if your heart was in the world. You felt that there was no meaning to fulfilling duties. You were not in the mood to perform your duties. Afterward, unconsciously, you carelessly completed your tasks. Wasn’t this the case? If your heart is not quiet before God, it is guaranteed that you will simply go through the motions in performing duty. Additionally, when God is not with you, your heart will think about the world, the flesh, your family and your kids. You will not at all have the feeling that God is with you. Your heart will already be far from God. Your heart does not have God, that is why it is guaranteed that you do not have the Holy Spirit moving you when you fulfill your duties, read God’s words or do your work. This is how it is. In this piece of God’s words, in the beginning, it mentions using your heart to touch God’s Spirit and using your heart to engage with God’s words. Why does it mention using your heart first? The reason is that you must give your heart to God and quiet your heart before God in order to have a normal relationship with God. To establish a normal relationship with God, you must first give your heart to God. When God says this, isn’t He getting right to the point? The first sentence of this piece of God’s word illustrates an important point. It illustrates an extremely crucial truth. God’s words have been spoken very succinctly. God’s words are fantastic. Each word is the truth. Each sentence is crucial. God said, “When engaging with God’s words with their heart, they are therefore moved by the Spirit of God.” God also informs us of a fact: If you do not use your heart to touch God and engage with His words, you will not be moved by the Spirit of God. When man uses his heart to touch God and engage with God’s words, he will be able to be moved by the Holy Spirit. Once man is moved by the Holy Spirit, his relationship with God will become normalized. Man’s heart can be guided, moved, enlightened and illuminated at any time by the Holy Spirit. If this happens, this person’s relationship with God will become completely normal. In the past, there were some people who would always ask me, “What does it mean to be quiet before God?” I would reply, “Your heart keeps praying to God. Though your mouth does not open, your heart draws near to God. This is what it means to live before God. Each moment, your heart has God, your heart reveres God and your heart always feels that God is with you. In order to satisfy God, you do this and you do that. Your heart does not leave God.” If someone lives under these circumstances, would you say that they are not quiet before God? Regardless of what situation you face, if your heart can always think of God and touch God, if your heart is obedient to God at every moment, if you do things with a heart that reveres God, if your heart can maintain these conditions, then you are a person that lives before God. For some people, it is not easy for them to draw near to God and be quiet before God. Their hearts live in the world. Their hearts are focused on fleshly things. In regard to getting close to God, even though they have spent a lot of time, they did not have any results. It doesn’t work even when they pray or sing hymns. At times, when other people sing and pray, they are moved to tears. Oh, this is when they get moved and they start to get results in regard to touching God. How long would you say their hearts have been focused on worldly things? Their hearts have been focused on worldly things for too long of a time and have just returned to God. So, it is very difficult for them to be quiet before God. No matter what they do, their hearts cannot draw near to God. Who knows how long it will take for them to experience one instance of genuine prayer and being moved. For some people, they have not been moved even once by the Holy Spirit in half a year or even a year. Can these people be considered as believers in God? These people do not have a normal relationship with God.
How can man have a proper relationship with God? Let’s read some God’s words, “If you wish to achieve a proper spiritual life and establish a proper relationship with God, you must first give your heart to Him, and quiet your heart before Him. Only after you have poured your whole heart into God can you gradually develop a proper spiritual life.” What truth can be found in this passage of God’s word? It illustrates if man does not give his heart to God, he cannot have a proper spiritual life. What does a proper spiritual life refer to? It refers to man’s heart enjoying God’s presence, being moved by the Holy Spirit at all times, and no matter whether it is praying to God, eating and drinking God’s words or fulfilling one’s duties, he can receive the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination constantly, be able to enjoy God’s presence at every moment, and his heart does not leave God. This is what a spiritual life is about. There are some people who have not been moved by the Holy Spirit in their prayers even once in 8 to 10 days. Since they have not been moved by the Holy Spirit, they do not have any words for their prayers. Since they do not have any words for their prayers, they do not know what to say. As a result, they muddle a few half-conscious sentences that are dull and dry, then become sleepy and want to sleep. It is as if this person’s spirit is dead and he has completely severed his relationship with God. If man’s spirit has never been moved, hasn’t he broken off his relationship with God? If man is not companied with God and lacks the Holy Spirit’s work even more so, he does not have a proper relationship with God. Those who have a proper relationship with God are able to pray to God anywhere and at any time and they are able to be close to God anywhere and at any time. For some people, once they want to find God and be close to God, they feel, “Oh no, I am too far away from God. I cannot feel God at all.” Now, does this kind of person have a proper relationship with God? If they do not have a proper relationship with God, when they pray to God, they will not be moved by God’s Spirit and they will not feel God’s presence. They are too distant from God as if they are on earth and God is in heaven. There are some people who do not have faith when they pray to God about certain matters and they even go so far as to doubt whether or not praying about these matters is effective. Look, they do not even have faith. These people do not have a spiritual life. If your heart is unable to be moved, that means you have not given your heart to God. Your heart has departed too far away from God and your heart does not have a place for God. That is why this kind of a person does not have a proper relationship with God. Not having a proper relationship with God mainly means man has not the Holy Spirit’s work. Even if one occasionally has some of the Holy Spirit’s work, there is no telling how long one has to wait. Now, would you say that those who hardly have the Holy Spirit’s work can be saved? Can they be perfected? Does their faith in God have any meaning? Is it just nominal? Aren’t they unbelievers? Your heart does not have a place for God. You do not dare bring everything before God and do not communicate to God about them, which means your relationship with God is not proper. You always do things behind God’s back, you always do things on your own way, and you do not dare allow God to be a part of the things you do. This indicates that you do not believe in God. Whether or not your relationship with God is proper involves the matter of whether or not you can be saved. If you do not have a proper relationship with God, it indicates that you are always unable to be close to God and that you have not given your heart to God. Do you know what the main manifestation is of someone who has not given their heart to God? The main manifestation is that you do not dare to entrust all matters to God and you are not willing to obey God. You do not dare bring those things that you do into the light and you do not dare bring them before God. That is why you secretly do them behind God’s back. Now, is this kind of person someone that obeys God? Your relationship with God is not proper. Regardless of what you do, you hide it from God. You do not dare pray about and entrust these things to God. You are afraid that if you entrust them to God, you will be unable to satisfy your individual desires. You are afraid that you will be unable to fulfill your individual goals. You still secretly pursue your own preferences and do your own little things. This person’s faith in God lacks obedience. If a person does not obey God, this indicates that his heart is not correct. His heart has other schemes. He does not dare bring what his heart desires, wants and likes before God. Therefore, because this kind of person’s heart is not correct, he does not dare entrust his heart to God. Have you had the following experience: There are some matters which you do not dare pray to God about and entrust God with. Even though you are fully aware that God does not like them, you still go and secretly do them? Now, do you dare entrust your heart to God? Do you dare put this into action, “From now on, I will bring everything my heart desires and wants before God. If this matter is not in accordance with God’s will, then I will renounce and forsake it”? Some people are unable to pay this price. They do not dare offer themselves like this to God. They do not dare bear this suffering. This is one issue. Why are they unable to give their hearts to God? It is because they do not have the heart of loving God and satisfying God in their faith. That is why they are unable to give their hearts to God. Do you know what manifestations those who do not give their hearts to God have? First, they do not thirst for God’s words. They do not read God’s words. Second, they do not accept the truth. No matter how their brothers and sisters communicate the truth to them, they do not accept it. They think, “If I accept other people’s communications about the truth, then I have to put it into practice. If I put the truth into practice, won’t I suffer a loss?” Third, they do not fulfill their duties. They feel, “If I fulfill my duties, it will interfere with making money, which won’t do.” Now, this person not only does not pray to God nor is close with God, but, most importantly, does not fulfill the duties he should fulfill, he does not eat and drink the words of God that he should eat and drink and he does not pray to God when he should pray to God. Regardless of what situations he comes across, he does not seek the truth, he does not pray to God, he does not seek to grasp God’s will and how to obey and satisfy God. It is as if everything he does is not related to God. He does things according to his own will. He does not rely on God to live. Instead, he relies on himself to live. Isn’t this an unbeliever? Therefore, all those who do not give their hearts to God are unbelievers. Some people find jobs according to their own desires. Some people find partners according to their own desires. Some people do not pray to God about all matters in their daily life. They do not seek the truth at all about whether what they eat, wear, enjoy or do conforms with the truth and God’s will or not. This kind of person has not given his heart to God. He has not completely consecrated and entrusted himself to God. Now, what manifestations do those who have entrusted their hearts to God have? He ponders, “I must satisfy God in all matters. Since I believe in God and I see God’s work and I see that God has incarnated in order to save man, I must cooperate with God and believe in God well. I must eat and drink God’s words every day and I must pray to God and seek the truth. Everything that I do must be permitted by God.” Does this kind of person have God in his heart? His heart has God within. He must seek the truth in all matters and he must seek to achieve being in line with God’s will and to satisfy God. Therefore, through prayer, whatever does not conform with God’s will, he renounces, forsakes the flesh and does not do. He only does the things that are in accordance with God’s will. This kind of person has given his heart to God. All those who have given their hearts to God can bring God and His words into real life. They allow God to become the Lord of their own lives. They allow God to truly become their Lord. In all matters, they allow God to wield power as their king. These people have given their hearts to God.
Turning Your Heart to God Is an Important Implementation of Seeking Perfection
What are the criteria for God using people? God said, “The criteria for God’s use of people are as follows: Their heart turns to God, they are burdened by the words of God, they have a heart of yearning, and they have the resolve to seek the truth.” Think it over a bit. If you are willing to be used by God and to accept God’s perfection, what must you first do? First, you must turn your heart to God. After you have turned your heart to God, if you thirst for the truth, frequently read God’s words, frequently pray to God, have a true communion with God in spirit and at this time you bear more and more of a burden for the truth and God’s words and you have a heart that thirsts more and more, the Holy Spirit will constantly work upon you. He will move your heart, enlighten you, illuminate you, guide you, lead you and direct you. In this way, your relationship with God will become more and more normal. You will pursue the truth more and more and you will satisfy God more and more. In this way, unconsciously, you will be perfected by God. If you do not turn your heart to God, you will always rely on yourself to do this and to do that. You do whatever you want to do. If you turn your heart to God, you must seek God’s meaning and you must pray to God and see how God does things. You must seek the truth with a heart that obeys God, and seek the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. This is especially the case when you have done something wrong, when you encounter failure, or when you do something that contradicts God’s will. When this occurs, the Holy Spirit will enlighten you, so that you will recognize your mistakes. You will recognize that you have failed this time, that you have deviated from the path this time, that you are following your whims this time, that you are doing things according to your own purposes this time and that there is a lesson to be learned this time. You will know that you should not do this next time. Regardless, you will not do this next time. Now you know how to do things correctly. You know how to do things according to God’s will. If your experience has reached this level, haven’t you learned how to obey God? From your own failures and experiences of deviation, you recognize that you have walked the wrong path. You recognize that if you do not obey the Holy Spirit, it is easy to deviate from the path. As a result, when you do work again, you will no longer deviate from the path. Instead, you will do things according to God’s demands. Therefore, after you turn your heart toward God, when you truly do something wrong, the Holy Spirit will enlighten you and illuminate you and allow you to feel remorse. He will allow you to see clearly what is wrong with the path that you are taking. He will allow you to learn a lesson from your setbacks. In the end, you will walk upon the path that is in accordance with God’s will. Aren’t these the results of being guided by the Holy Spirit? These are the results of being guided by the Holy Spirit. This is also the process by which the Holy Spirit perfects people. If you do not turn your heart to God and you walk the wrong path, how can the Holy Spirit move you? How can He enlighten and illuminate you? If you do not have the Holy Spirit’s work and your deviation reaches a certain stage, in the end, you will be walking the path of the antichrist and you will become God’s arch-enemy. At this point, you cannot be saved. Therefore, if you do not turn your heart toward God yet you still want to serve God, it is easy for you to walk upon the path of the antichrist and become God’s arch-enemy. If you turn your heart to God and you are able to repent in regard to your failures and transgressions, you will be able to start walking again on the bright path which God demands you to take and you will be walking on the path of success. This is why turning your heart to God is very important. It can help you walk upon the right path, path of success, and achieve God’s perfection. If you do not turn your heart to God, you will never be able to walk upon the path of success and you will never be able to be perfected by God. What are the results of turning your heart to God? Unconsciously, you will have the Holy Spirit’s work. Afterward, you will be burdened by God’s words. You will have thirst in your heart and you will have the will to seek the truth. This kind of person is able to receive the Holy Spirit’s work and he will frequently be enlightened and illuminated. In the end, he will always have the Holy Spirit’s work and he will always obey God and satisfy God’s heart. As a result, he will see human relationships as flagging and he will see man’s relationship with God as higher than everything else. His emotions will become milder in intensity. Even though he has emotions, he does not act based on them. He will be able to effortlessly forsake his flesh. He won’t feel that forsaking his flesh requires much effort. He will be able to effortlessly do things according to principles and he will be able to speak directly in accordance with the truth. He will also be able to effortlessly treat people in accordance with God’s demands. All these things will not feel strenuous to him. If you do not have the Holy Spirit’s work, you will not be able to do these things. You will frequently rely on your emotions to do things. You will frequently be controlled by the philosophies of the world. You will be afraid of offending people and you won’t be able to satisfy God. You will mediate and compromise all the time and you will always focus on your relationships with other people. You will maintain human relationships as higher than everything else. In this way, the work that you do will be devoid of the Holy Spirit. It will not have the Holy Spirit’s guidance and it will be much less directed by the Holy Spirit. You will completely follow your own will when you do things and you will not have any results whatsoever. The Holy Spirit is unable to use this type of person. … In regard to the criteria for being used by God, the most crucial point is that one must turn one’s heart to God. After they turn their heart to God, there is a kind of manifestation: “They are burdened by the words of God, they have a heart of yearning, and they have the resolve to seek the truth.” What is the meaning of this? The meaning is that this kind of person bears the burden of his own life entry. When the time comes to reveal his own corruption or when his heart grows far from God or when he is enlightened and illuminated by God’s word, this person will see that his own deficiencies are numerous and he will always see that he does not have the truth and reality. As a result, he will feel like he is taking on a burden. He feels that he does not live out any reality of the truth. Instead, he completely lives out the likeness of a corrupt human being and of Satan. He starts to feel disgusted about what he lives out and his own manifestation. Now, does this kind of person bear the burden of his own life? He is not satisfied with his own realistic situation. That is why he detests himself. That is why he despises his own powerlessness. He despises the fact that he is sluggish with his own faith. He despises the fact that he is the same as Satan and that he does not have the likeness of a human being. All those who have these kinds of feelings in their hearts have borne the burden of God’s words. He always feels, “I must eat and drink God’s words. I have obtained too little from God’s words. I have not entered the reality of God’s words. I am unable to leave God’s words.” This kind of person has borne the burden of God’s words. He has a heart that thirsts and a will to seek the truth. Those who do not recognize their own corrupt state, the truth of their corruption and their own nature, do they bear the burden of their own lives? Definitely not. If these people do not recognize at all their actual situation, that is, the true state of their corruption, what they live out, would they be able to despise themselves? Would they be able to loathe themselves? That is why all those who do not despise themselves do not loathe their own manifestations. These people do not bear the burden of their own life entry. Right now, are you someone that pursues the truth? What motivates people that pursue the truth to pursue the truth? How do people produce a will to pursue the truth? It is because they bear the burden of God’s words and because they bear the burden of their own life entry that they are able to produce a will to pursue the truth. Someone asked, “Why do I not have a heart that pursues the truth? Why am I so interested in money and living my own life?” It is because you do not have any enlightenment and illumination from God’s words. That is why you do not have any recognition of the truth of your own corruption, your own essence and nature and the likeness that you live out. You feel that because you did not commit murder, commit arson nor did you do any major evil deeds that you are a good person. That is why you do not bear any burden when it comes to your own life. You feel that it does not matter if you pursue the truth, or whether you have the truth or not. You feel that as long as your heart does not leave God, it is fine; as long as you do not sin, it is fine; perhaps one day you can still be saved by God. If someone’s attitude does not have any positive elements and is completely negative, is this a person that pursues the truth? Are you now clear about why someone has no internal drive to pursue the truth? It is because these people do not have any knowledge of themselves. These people do not have any interest in what a genuine person should possess and the way a genuine person should live out their lives. As long as they do not commit any great evils, they believe that they are good people. That is why they do not have any interest in the way that they should live and pursuing the truth. If someone does not have any interest in the truth, regardless of how many years he has believed in God, he would be unable to obtain the truth. Suppose someone has believed in God for many years. Their life disposition has not changed at all. They do not have an obedient heart for God nor do they have a heart that loves God. Would you say that this kind of person is someone that pursues the truth? This is obvious at a glance. Suppose there is a person that pursues the truth. He has believed in God for many years and his state all along has been filled with many positive things. He is willing to obey and satisfy God. Additionally, he feels that it is not okay to leave God’s words or not fulfill his duties. Within, he has all these positive things. This person is definitely someone that pursues the truth. Presently, there are some people who do not care that they say rebellious and absurd things and words of resisting God on the internet. There are also people who constantly judge God’s work and the work arrangements of God’s family. They criticize right and left. Would you say that this type of person has the truth? If he has the truth, what kind of manifestations should he have? When he encounters situations he will first give his heart to God. How does he give his heart to God? He says, “I do not understand this matter. I will not judge it. I must not randomly comment about it based on my own judgment. If I do not understand, I must first pray to God.” Therefore, when this person encounters a situation, before he says or does anything, he always prays to God first. He will say, “God! Please enlighten me and protect me in this matter. Allow my heart to obey You. I do not want to do things blindly that I do not understand. Everything I do must be in accordance with Your will.” He has this kind of prayer and he has this kind of proper attitude. Now, what kind of person would you say this person is? He has a heart that fears God. Regardless of what situation he encounters, he can deny himself and he is able to pray to God. This person is someone who has given his heart to God. That is why giving one’s heart to God is very crucial. Regardless of what you do and what situations you encounter, do not rashly do or say anything as you wish. Pray to God first. And say, “I must first pray to God. I must not rely on myself to rashly do anything. I do not have the truth. I am nothing. I am not qualified to casually talk about the work of God’s family. Even more so, I am not qualified to randomly say things. I am someone who has given my heart to God. My heart belongs to God. I must not do things according to my own desires.” What is the most important manifestation of turning one’s heart to God? He has a heart that obeys God and a heart that reveres God. He does not indiscriminately do things according to his whims. In all matters, he must pray to God and seek the truth. Once he understands the truth, he does the things that he knows are proper and beneficial to others. One can achieve these results by turning his heart toward God. Suppose you do not turn your heart toward God. You indiscriminately do everything according to your own whims. You say this and you say that according to your own will. Now, is this kind of person not someone that is arbitrarily rash? Is this person not unbridled and unconstrained? Is this a person that obeys God? Is this a person that belongs to God? Even though he believes in God or has believed in God for many years, because his heart does not belong to God, this person is not someone that belongs to God. Only those who have turned their hearts to God belong to God. Only they are people that live before God. Therefore, if you want to be saved and perfected by God, the first condition you must meet is that you must turn your heart toward God. For example, how should you approach fulfilling a duty that church leaders and workers have arranged for you? If you turn your heart toward God, do you still have an individual’s decision? You have turned your heart toward God, therefore, you must obey. You must receive it with a heart that obeys God. If the conditions or the environment actually does not allow this, we can discuss it. However, your will to obey God must not change. This is the principle by which you must do things. There is someone who is fussy about the duties that he has to fulfill. He does not want to fulfill duties and he always makes excuses. Now, has this kind of person turned his heart toward God? Suppose this person achieves no results in regard to the fulfillment of his duties. The leaders and workers criticize him and ask, “Why do you always just go through the motions? Why do you not achieve any results when it comes to fulfilling your duties?” He has many reasons to refute them. He will give them many objective conditions. Has this kind of person turned his heart toward God? If someone has truly turned his heart toward God, when other people criticize or deal with him, how should he respond? He would reflect upon how he is not devoted to fulfilling duties. He will reflect upon the reasons why he was just going through the motions. This is one kind of manifestation. Also, if other people deal with him and the things they say are quite severe or the things they say are not completely in accordance with the facts, he will be able to deal with it correctly. It does not matter how many things other people say correctly and it does not matter whether or not you have an understanding of your own state at that time, you should accept it. Accepting dealing and pruning is not based on your own understanding of what you do. What you understand is not necessarily in accordance with the truth. If you understand it clearly, you may not do the things you do. Since you do not have the truth, you do not understand it clearly. That is why you do this and do that, acting wildly, and you do not achieve any results whatsoever. If you follow the way you see things and you only decide to accept other people dealing you if it is completely in accordance with your notions, do you have obedience? Suppose you encounter other people’s dealing and pruning. When they criticize you, if you use your notions to judge whether what they say is correct or if you only accept and obey that which is completely in accordance with your notions and you do not accept and obey that which is not in accordance with your notions, are you someone that obeys God? Would you say that those who are apt to argue are people that obey God? Someone who is apt to argue is definitely not someone that obeys God. This should be clear! In regard to accepting God’s work, if you rely on your own notions and imagination to deal with everything, this confirms that you do not have the truth. You do not have the truth, yet you stubbornly maintain your own notions and imagination and you even talk about your own reasoning. Now, this kind of person is not someone that obeys God because those who obey God do not use reasoning. For example, there is a matter which you handle quite well. However, other people deal with you. They say that you are incorrect, that what you did is not in accordance with God’s will, that you have caused a disruption and yet you do not have any clear understanding of the problem’s essence. How should you handle this situation? In this situation, you should accept and not use reasoning. You should say, “I acknowledge that it is probably my fault. What you say should be correct. Right now, even though I do not have an understanding, I accept your dealing and pruning. I accept your criticism.” Afterward you reflect upon it. Suppose at that time, you refuse and you do not accept. You do not acknowledge. You feel that, “This is not the case. You have accused me wrongly. You have exaggerated the facts.” Afterward, you use reasoning, you decline and you refute. Is this obeying God? You can’t recognize the situation based on your understanding at the time. There are many matters in which you do not have an understanding of because you do not have the truth. Actually, you were in fact disrupting and disturbing. Those with the truth are able to see it clearly or the people beside you at that time are able to see it clearly. You are an implicated party. You are not necessarily capable of seeing it clearly. If you truly are able to see that you were disrupting and disturbing, you would not necessarily be able to do this. By relying on your own imagination and notions, you believe that what you did was not disrupting. As a result, you refuse and you do not accept. However, after you reflect for a few days, you have an understanding that what you did indeed was disrupting and disturbing. Don’t you feel ashamed of how you refused and resisted at that time? That is why you must be good at denying yourself in many situations. Do not believe that you are infallible. This will lead to resisting God. If you maintain a heart of obedience, even if what others say is not completely accurate and even if what others say is an exaggeration, you are still able to accept. This is absolutely not wrong. Obeying this way is beneficial to you entering into the life. If you truly are someone that has turned his heart toward God, you will accept everything with a heart that obeys God. This is very crucial. This is not resigning oneself to adversity. This is principled. This is the principle of obeying God and you must comply.
