Submission to the Authority of God’s Words Is the Reality and Criterion to Fearing God and Shunning Evil
Man’s experience of God’s work, on the one hand, is the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, while on the other hand, the dealing and pruning. These are too necessary. The judgment and chastisement of God’s words allow us to come to recognize our own corrupt essence through an understanding of truths and to have a true understanding of God’s disposition, which will in turn allow us to even more deeply hate Satan, hate our own flesh, and attain true repentance. Sometimes, some people are lacking in their effort to seek truths, they are not giving importance to God’s words, they are not giving importance to eating and drinking God’s words as well as understanding the truths, their results in accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s words are not ideal. What to do with these people? We must tutor them through dealing and pruning, we must intensify their trials and refinements. If you do not properly eat and drink God’s words, then I shall deal with you and prune you, so that you shall have some experience in this area, so that you can attain the results of understanding the truths. Why do some people encounter trials and refinements? If they have really put the effort into God’s words, fellowshiping the truths, entering into reality, experiencing God’s words, then the trials and refinements that they encounter will be much reduced, and their dealing and pruning will also be much reduced. If they do not put the effort into God’s words, if they do not properly eat and drink God’s words, if they even muddle through in fulfilling their duties, then they shall be given pruning and dealing, they shall be tutored. If one dealing or pruning is not sufficient, then a second will be given; if moderate ones do not suffice, then more severe ones shall be provided; if even the severe ones are not enough, then they shall be expelled, and that will do it. Once they have been expelled, they shall encounter a major trial, and when they can take it no longer, they shall wail and grind their teeth. If they show some indication that they love the truths, that they are seeking the truths, then they shall begin to reflect upon themselves. These are all salvations for men. Maybe this severe dealing and pruning or this expulsion will become the turning point for their life entry. If they do not have any love for the truths, then they shall be eliminated. For some leaders and workers, if I do not deal with them, then they would not have any transformation, they would still have no reality of the truths even after so many years of believing in God. It seems to me that I have been too easy on them, therefore I begin to speak to them with more severity. Others say: “Do not reveal other people’s shortcomings when talking about them, do not slap other people’s face when hitting them,” but I care about none of these things. The higher your position as a leader, the more I shall speak harshly, so that there is no place for you to hide your face, so that you can no longer bear to show your face. Are such dealings and pruning beneficial to you? If, after having experienced many such dealings and pruning, someone has attained a heart that fears God, has attained real understanding of truths and has learned about himself, isn’t this a salvation for this man? Some people have only believed in God for a short period of time, maybe two to three years, maybe three to four years. I do not dare to deal with such people, for how much stature can they have after two to three years? If I should deal with them with severity, can they not become negative, can they not run away? I know nothing of their stature, and how can I deal with them when I know nothing of their stature? Therefore, let me use a lighter touch, and if they can understand, if they can submit, then it is still good. If they become negative and they fall over, then I would say that they are in too much trouble, that they are hanging dangerously by the precipice. In fact, regardless of how I deal with and prune them, it all depends on the result. That is, have you reflected upon yourself and understood the truths, have you really learned about yourself, and finally, have you begun to have a heart that fears God? To attain a heart that fears God; this is the goal. Some men, after they have experienced dealing and pruning, they feel that “I have not become negative, I have not fallen over yet, I am still fulfilling my duties as usual.” Is this really the best result? They should have attained a deepening in truths, growth in their life, and eventually become someone who fears God. Only then have they met the criterion of attaining salvation.
If you are really someone who fears God, do you still need me to deal with and prune you? If an ordinary brother or sister has mentioned your issues and criticized you, can you submit? Even though this ordinary brother or sister is inferior to you, their status not as eminent as yours, their stature smaller than yours, yet what they are saying fits with the truths. Can you submit? This fact can best reveal whether someone has a heart that fears God. Revelations using this test are the most effective, the most accurate. The key to whether someone’s fulfillment of their duties is satisfactory or not depends on whether truths have been practiced. Sometimes, it is not easy for men to see whether truths have been practiced, for no evidence can be found and no one can be sure, what facts can be used to give the most accurate revelation? Regardless of who he is coordinating with, whether things are harmonious between them, whether he is able to accept the suggestions that others give to him, this detail is most critical. An ordinary brother or sister, or some new believer who has no stature, who has no distinguishing performance to speak of, yet they are able to see things accurately, yet the advice that they give you fits with God’s will, advice which originates from the Holy Spirit, which fits with the truths. How someone handles this and whether or not someone accepts their advice most reveals whether this person has a heart that fears God, whether this person submits to the truths. This is the best test to find out whether this person is someone who truly submits to the truths and obeys God, this test shall give you an accurate answer every time. Look at the way that I treat the ordinary brothers and sisters. Whenever someone says to me anything constructive, once I realize that it is correct, I say to them in earnest: “This suggestion of yours is quite good, I accept it.” For certain matters, I intentionally ask the brothers and sisters: “Tell me, how should I handle this matter?” I would ask for their opinions. Sometimes, what they say is correct, and I say: “You are correct, I will follow your suggestion, let us do it as you said.” Is it appropriate for me to do so? I follow whoever says the right things. Tell me, have I debased myself by following the ideas of ordinary brothers and sisters? As if I am unable to come up with my own ideas, as if I listen to whatever anyone says? Is that really the case? Then what issue is this? What is the essence of this problem? This is the ability to submit to the truths. This criterion is very powerful. Truths are truths regardless of the person who says them, for the authority of God’s words is above all else, and it is not the case that this person is above everyone else. Even though he is a new believer with no reality of the truth, because this thing that he says originates from the Holy Spirit, originates from God, because this bright light, this advice is authority, therefore I shall submit, and I shall say nothing. Perhaps most people have noticed this about me, this way that I treat others, that I listen to whoever has said the right things, that I am easy to convince. Tell me, is it easy to be able to do this? It has taken me many years to achieve this, for initially I was someone very stubborn, arrogant, not yielding to anyone. I was no better than any of you. If I had the authority, then whatever I said would be law, and others better not say otherwise, not even think about doing so. After I have experienced God’s judgment and chastisement, dealing and pruning, I have changed in this area. I submit to anyone who says the right things, I listen to anyone who says the right things. However, if what he says is not right, then I must tell him: “This thing that you said is not right. This is how I look at this matter. What do you think?” He says: “What you said is right, you are right after all, and I will follow what you said.” Is it appropriate to treat others in this way, to collaborate with others in this way? This thing that I am telling you, what is the principle that governs it? It is submitting to the truths. Why would I fellowship about it? This is the principle for practicing submission to truth, this is also the mark that someone is submitting to the truths. Some might say: “You are talking about fearing God and shunning evil, why are you mentioning this? What are you trying to say by spending so much time on this topic?” Tell me, is there any relationship between this principle and the fear of God? The relationship is too deep, for if you are someone who fears God and you are able to accomplish this, then you have succeeded. This is the reality, the mark, the criterion for the fear of God. If you can practice this truth, if you are equipped with a principle like this, I dare say that you are certainly someone who fears God and shuns evil. This is not a simple thing. In first glance, isn’t it easy for you to listen to one correct thing that someone has said? We can say that this is all that there is, but are you able to do so? If you can really do so, then you are doing well, then you have reality, and I agree with you. Some say that they are able to do this. While they might not always be able to do so, or they might not be able to do it very well, but it is clear that they have this resolve, that they are willing to obtain this truth, willing to enter into this reality. If they are unable to do so at present, there is still hope that they can achieve this in the future. We must give people time. If this has been achieved, tell me, how many entries in other areas does this relate to? First, you have gained reality to the entry of submitting to God, for you are able to submit to things that anyone says which fit with the truths, for God’s words have become authority to you, therefore you have gained reality in submitting to God; second, your ability to submit to the truths shows that you have a heart that fears God, your submission to the truths is your fear of God, for you will never submit to truths if you do not fear God, for you will not debase yourself to submit, you will not let go of yourself, lower your status to submit, therefore it shows that you fear God, that you are not elevating yourself to some high places, you are not concerned about how you look, and this is rebelling against the flesh, this is the practicing of truths. Thus, for someone who is able to submit to the authority of God’s words, regardless of the type of person, the person being dealt with, the type of environment, someone who is able to absolutely submit to the authority of God’s words, that is the person who fears God. Whether or not someone fears God depends on whether this person has the reality of submitting to the authority of God’s words. Tell me, isn’t the lesson in this area very deep? I have entry in this area, but I feel that my entry is not very deep, there are still certain matters and circumstances that I need to go further. I am able to do some things, but they are not yet ideal, I still have some grounds to cover. If God is giving out scores, I might be getting seventy percent. While I have passed, I feel that I have not achieved perfect score. What is the score for your entry into the truths in this area? Are you getting a sixty percent? Have you passed? In order to fear God and shun evil, is it necessary to enter into the reality in this area? It is very critical, but most people do not see this. This is the way to measure if someone is still arrogant or not. If he is able to absolutely submit to the authority of God’s words, then he no longer has any arrogance. Even if he still has any, it has mostly been resolved already.
Everyone wants to be the master, be their own boss. What does it mean to “be the master”? It means that whatever they say, counts. They all want to have authority. If you are not someone who submits to the truths, and if you have the authority, what is the problem? It is then Satan who has the authority, and isn’t it worrisome? If you are someone who submits to the truths, if you have the authority, then who is it that really has the authority? God’s words would have the authority, truths would have the authority, and it is not us, the individual, who has the authority. In appearance, I have authority within God’s house, whatever I say counts. Tell me, is it my words that count, or God’s words that count, or the truths that count? Can the essence of my authority represent the authority of truths, the authority of God’s words? (It can.) Someone then asks this question: “You are a man, and all men have the adulteration of man. Do you dare say that there is no adulteration of man in the things you do? If you have the adulteration of man, then does your authority represent the authority of God’s words, the authority of the truths?” Some people are baffled when they hear this. Why are they baffled? Isn’t this a practical issue? How do we make it such that man’s authority equals the authority of God’s words, the authority of the truths? Did God say that to perfect man is to perfect your authority, to give you status so that whatever you say counts? Then, in what way is man being perfected? It is to perfect you such that you gain truths, such that the truths have authority through you, to conquer you. Conquering you to what degree? Perfecting you to what degree? Such that you become a servant to the truths. Are you willing? Don’t you want to be the master, be your own boss? If you want to be the master, be your own boss, then it is best that you first become a servant to the truths. If you have indeed become a servant to the truths, then you have truly become a master and your own boss. You becoming a master and your own boss is the same as the authority of truths. In this moment, are you a servant to the truths? You can’t compare, can you? Where is the entrance if we want to become a servant of the truths? Begin with entering by submitting to the authority of God’s words, submitting to the authority of the truths. When you can absolutely submit to the authority of truths, then you have become a servant of the truths, the truths have gained authority over you, God’s words have ruled over all of you, then you shall be entitled to authority, then God shall anoint you, allowing you to become a priest. How is the implementation of your submission to the authority of truths? How are you treating the words that fit with the truths spoken by someone else? How would those who do not have a heart that fears God treat such words? “Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are talking to? Do you think that you understand the truths?” What would happen if we treat others in this manner? Is this someone who submits to the truths? This is alarming, for you are deciding how you handle things based on status. You only listen to those who have a high status, and you look down upon those who have a low status. You are not someone who submits to the truths, you are someone who worships Satan’s influence, who worships status. You are a servant of Satan, not a servant to the truths. Someone might ask: “Do you have any adulterations?” I have adulterations, but it depends on the nature of the adulterations. If you have some small ideas, the kindness of man, without interrupting the truth, without turning against the truths, without disobeying God’s will, then it is not a problem. If your adulterations go against the truths, resist the truths, antagonize God, mean the wrong path, then that is not the issue of adulterations, that is something wrong with your essence, that is you being a wrong person. Therefore, adulterations with some of man’s ideas do not impact the authority of God’s words, they do not impact the authority of truths, because you are still fundamentally practicing the truths, you are still fundamentally following the path that God has guided you, you are still fundamentally obeying God’s will, then such adulterations are not an issue. Let us give an example. Is the path being guided by the work arrangement from the above the appropriate path? Does it represent the authority of God’s words, the authority of truths, the authority of Christ? Are the truths that the above fellowships appropriate? Do all the matters determined by the above fit with the principles of God’s requirements? Does it represent the authority of truths, the authority of God’s words, the authority of Christ? This is the appropriate way to measure. Then, someone might ask: “Is the work performed by the man used by the Holy Spirit being adulterated with the ideas of man?” Yes, but the amount of such adulterations is minuscule, and fundamentally we can still be certain that it is the authority of truths, the authority of Christ, the authority of God’s words, for the work that he performs is not disruptive. While the levels of understanding in some of his fellowship of truths have not reached ninety percent, yet they have reached fifty percent, sixty percent, seventy percent, and they have no signs of disobedience or conflict. Therefore, fundamentally, we can be certain that it is still the authority of Christ, the authority of truths, the authority of God’s words, without any deviations. His adulterations are minuscule, at his worst a little shallow in some areas in his understanding of truths. He has not yet attained the level of the highest essence of truths, but that is a matter of experience. There is no end in man’s experience of the truths and the words of God, because the truths do not extend only to the depth or the height that man imagines, for truths in any one area are forever endless to the experience of man. There is one thing said by God which affirms the depth of truths: Mankind is forever a toddler in the presence of God. You see, I am a toddler in the presence of God, and God views me as a toddler. Regardless of how great stature someone has as seen by others, in actual fact, man is forever a toddler in the presence of God. It has been determined by the word “toddler” that the work performed by man must be more or less adulterated with the ideas of man. I am not absolving myself, but I am explaining a fact. It is inevitable that a man is always making some mistakes, there will always be some adulterations. Only God makes no mistakes, only God has no adulterations. Man is always some distance away from God, a difference of night and day. I have already said this to you before, and no matter how many times I fellowship to you, no matter how much I do, there is a limit to how far I can carry you. The result of a hundred sermons given by me cannot compare to God revealing Himself to you and giving you one single sermon. This time, when God revealed to us, fellowshiping several passages of His words one after the next, everyone was stunned, and everyone said: “Alas, Christ is Christ.” In particular, what did those new believers from South Korea say? “The fellowship from Christ is just different from the fellowship of the man used by the Holy Spirit. Christ’s fellowship is reality, it is too wonderful, fellowshiping God’s will, God’s state of mind, and God’s disposition in such details, in such reality.” I also said to God: “Only You can fellowship these God’s words in such details, fellowshiping all that God has and is in such details. I can never accomplish that in my entire life, even if I should toil unto my death.” Here, let me remind you, it is inevitable that work performed by man has adulterations, and even the work of those being perfected by God has adulterations. The only difference is the size and amount of adulterations, the level of adulterations. I do not dare explain some of God’s words. Why do I not dare to explain? Once I explain them, they now originate from the ideas of man, and they become adulterated. You know very clearly that you do not understand, yet you still dare to talk about them, you still dare to give them explanations. Isn’t that intentional adulteration? Therefore, regarding the important matters and important decisions, I must ask God, and say to God: “Regarding this matter, this is the background, this is the circumstance. Is it appropriate for me to come to this decision?” If God says, “It is appropriate, pass it along,” then the work arrangement is passed along, and such a decision shall be made under such a background, such a circumstance. There is something else that I would like to talk about. Some people took the initiative to coordinate with preaching the gospel, therefore they were being worked on by the Holy Spirit, therefore they were guided by the Holy Spirit. I imposed certain limits to their coordinations and their methods, because I found them a little risky. Afterward, I saw that they were being worked on by the Holy Spirit, therefore I no longer dared to limit them, I no longer dared to insist on my ways, for I was worried that I was impeding the pace of the work being performed by the Holy Spirit. Tell me, under such a circumstance, should I have imposed any limitations to remind them to be more careful? What do you think I should have done? Under such a circumstance, if I did not impose any limitations and let them carry on following their way, then more and worse circumstances would become involved, and if this was the goodwill of God, if this was the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I worried that any limitations I imposed would restrict the work performed by the Holy Spirit. What should I have done under such a dilemma? I continued to scratch my head, I had no idea what to say, and in the end, this was what I said: “In the expansion of the gospel of the kingdom, we must primarily focus on following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but we cannot take risks when we know that something is dangerous. We must pay attention to safety, we must not do superficial things, we must not publicly do things on the outside that attract other issues, when we know very clearly that the circumstance is not good. We must not preach the gospel and witness for God on the streets with a lot of fanfare.” I came up with several rules, but I continued to allow others to submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and what was the result? They did not listen to me, brothers and sisters from many places went to the streets, and problems occurred. What did they say? “Problems occurred because we went against the work arrangement.” Tell me, did I have any responsibilities in this matter? Was what I did inappropriate? My heart was undisturbed, for this was not my responsibility. I had said by part, but God’s chosen people were met with many troubles. How should this matter be resolved? The Holy Spirit has performed work. All that the Holy Spirit allowed men to encounter are lessons that God’s chosen people should learn. Men cannot interfere, for it is not up to men to interfere. However, some people persisted to pursue the matter. They said that these leaders and workers must be made answerable, which becomes another issue. What was I to do? Should I have condemned those leaders and workers? I did not condemn, instead I told people that the experiencing of God’s work inevitably comes with some failures, and that it is normal to encounter some setbacks. As long as lessons have been learned, let bygones be bygones, the deed was done. Do not always hold onto others’ mistakes and continue to attack them, we must refrain from suffocating others with their own infractions. That is not appropriate, that is not the work that saves men. God is using these matters to teach men lessons, such that men may come to understand the truths, such that men may experience God’s work. God allows God’s chosen people to encounter various trials and refinements, various circumstances. Some were being arrested, to experience and come to know the evilness of the great red dragon, the manner with which it persecutes God’s chosen people, the manner with which it resists God. This is nothing bad, this is called learning lessons, and this has fulfilled God’s words: “I will allow you to have ample lessons to learn….” Some matters are permitted by the Holy Spirit, some evil spirits in the church are encouraging this thing or that to be done, whereas those God’s chosen people not equipped with the truths have no discernment, they were being tricked, therefore they ended up being arrested by the great red dragon. The Holy Spirit was using this opportunity to allow God’s chosen people to learn their lessons, to come to know the great red dragon, to see through the true face of the great red dragon. Isn’t this turning bad things into good things? What is the meaning of these words that I have spoken? What does it have to do with fearing God? Those men who fear God give themselves up to God’s manipulations, they submit to all of God’s arrangements, without resisting the work performed by the Holy Spirit. Aren’t these the lessons that we should learn? Do not commit all manners of evil by following your own will. Do not impose limitations in the direction that the Holy Spirit is guiding you in. This is not proper. Things that you say must be principled, they must be responsible. Is there a lesson in all of this? If you are really someone who seeks the truths, then learn the lesson of fearing God right here. Is this lesson of fearing God and shunning evil deep? It is too deep.
Only Those Who Become Principled in Their Actions Through Experiencing God’s Work Are People Who Fear God and Shun Evil
What does it take to fear God and shun evil? By experiencing God’s work. What does it mean to experience God’s work? Primarily, it is to experience God’s judgment and chastisement, dealing and pruning, trials and refinements, to eventually fear God and shun evil. Once a man fears God, it shows that he has understood the truths and has come to know God. If a man does not fear God, it shows that he does not know God, that God has no place in his heart. Job feared God, and did he have knowledge of God? It is impossible that he had no such knowledge, for without such knowledge it is impossible to fear God. What was Job’s understanding of God? His knowledge of God was in the conversation that Job had with his three friends. Could he have talked at such length if he had no such knowledge? Could he have spoken so eloquently? Other than our group during this Age of Kingdom, Job, who lived during the Age of Law, judging from his knowledge of God and God’s almighty rule, he was also a sage of this world. It is only because we have listened to so many of God’s words that we are a little bit higher than him, but the reality that we are being equipped with cannot compare with his reality. We are giants in terms of our words, but we are dwarfs and midgets in terms of practical entry. We are excellent and eloquent when we talk about the truths, we are like tall towers. However, when it comes to the real knowledge and the fear for God that we are equipped with, we are impoverished and pitiful; we do not have the witnessing of Job, and we are no higher than Job. We are unable to stand up to God’s trials, and when we do encounter trials, we fare much worse than Job, and that brings shame onto us. Job knew so little, yet he did so well; we know so much, yet we are doing so poorly. What issue is this? It is because our humanity is not good. We have no conscience, we have no sense, our humanity is lacking too much, and our humanity is incomparable to Job’s. We are like someone who is under the tutelage of a grandmaster but isn’t master in his skills. Why is that? Because our constitution is too frail, we are sickly, and even the tutelage of a grandmaster is not sufficient. Job’s constitution was robust, and he would become proficient after some guidance from merely ordinary teachers. Our constitution is too frail, even the grandmasters refuse to take us in, for a sickly person can never become a master no matter how well he is taught. Our humanity is too wretched compared to that of Job, our love for the truths is too shallow, we are always unable to practice the truths, we are always attentive to our own flesh, to our face. We focus on our face, we are swayed by emotions. Furthermore, we are especially arrogant and self-righteous, we do not accept what others say regardless of how correct it is, we do not accept the truths. How can it be easy for us to walk the right path? Can we bear witness? Let us look at the successes and failures of various famous and important people, what are the causes of their failures? Isn’t it because of their arrogance? Isn’t it because they refuse to accept others’ advice? If you cannot accept the truths, then you are destined to fail; if you are able to accept the truths, then you are destined to succeed. Aren’t these important words? If you can seek truths in all things, then you are destined to be blessed by God and to gain truths; if you do not seek truths but rely on your conceptions and imaginations in the things that you do, then you are destined to stumble and fail. “Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall,” how true are these words. Whenever I hear about a leader or worker who does not listen to the advice of others and insists on his own ways, eventually bringing many troubles to the church, I feel disgust in my heart, and I feel compelled to ask: How long has this person believed in God? How come he is so arrogant and self-righteous? Someone like that is unfit to be used, for he doesn’t have any fear of God. If you have even a little reverence for God, you should accept the appropriate advice, you should protect the work of God’s house. All that you desire is to reveal your own prowess, reveal your own authority. You always want others to see that whatever you say counts. Isn’t this satanic disposition? Even if all that you say counts, what use is there? Does it bring you honor? It only brings you shame, it only makes you despicable. Only your submission to the truths brings you honor, only your submission to others brings you honor, only that means you have sense. To submit to others when they have the right views, and to deny yourself when you are wrong. This is smart, and this is wisdom. Wisdom is to fear God, for once a man has a heart that fears God, all the decisions that he makes are wise. All the decisions made by someone without a heart that fears God are most certainly wrong, they are all ridiculous, they will surely lead to utter failure. A man who acts against the will of Heaven, who does perverse things, is it any surprise that he ends in utter failure? He is destined to be punished. Therefore, with a heart that fears God, one can protect oneself; with a heart that fears God, one can walk the path of truths, the right path; with a heart that fears God, one can live within light, one can live in the presence of God, and will not end up going down the wrong path. Tell me, a man with a heart that fears God, what kind of man is that? Is he smart or foolish? Is he someone who has the truths or someone who merely has knowledge? Can someone who merely has knowledge fear God? Someone who merely has knowledge can only be arrogant, he can only resist God, therefore all men who merely have knowledge are most foolish. This is indeed the case. Have you already confirmed that it is the case? Is it one hundred percent true? If you only listen to the theories and say that they are correct, “those words are correct,” then that is worrisome; if you have real experience, and if you have confirmed that this is correct based on your own experience, then your words have weight, and I am willing to listen to them. If you say “these theories sound right to me,” then it shows that you have gained nothing, you have nothing, and that you are nothing. If the theories sound right to you, then it is worrisome. Are you able to confirm with your own experience? It is not easy to become someone who fears God. One must pursue truths, one must practice seeking truths, submitting to truths, carrying out the truths. This is a lesson that never ends. To seek truths in all things, to learn to submit to truths in all things, how well have you been practicing them? In anything that you do, regardless of whether you really understand the matter, whether you can see through it clearly, first seek truths, and pray to God: “Oh God, I have never done this before, this is new to me, I have never experienced this, I cannot see through it clearly. What are the principles for doing this? How can my actions be compatible with Your will?” Put your effort into this, “How should I do this in order to become compatible with God’s will? How should I do this to achieve results?” Then look for the principles of practice. After you have determined the principles of practice, then you will become confident that you can carry this out properly. After you have completed this matter, when the brothers and sisters look at it, they will say, “You have carried out this matter beautifully, it is a success,” and this matter that you have carried out will become compatible with God’s will. What is the reason that you have succeeded? What effort have you put in? You say: “I have prayed many times, I sought the truths in how I can do this well, I fellowshiped with others, I consulted others. I have spent no less than twenty hours on this matter, I have asked five or six people, I have prayed several times, I have read several passages of God’s words, I have pondered for many hours, until finally I have accomplished this matter.” You have accomplished this matter, you have found truths regarding this matter, you have discovered the principles, you have also accomplished this matter in accordance with such principles. Isn’t this an experience of the truths, an experience of God’s words? Isn’t this a witnessing that you have adequately fulfilled your duties? Consider this. In the duties that you have fulfilled, have you gone through the process of seeking truths, praying to God, fellowshiping and consulting with the brothers and sisters? Instead, you thought it through in your head, you thought it through in simple terms, you thought this is all that there is, and then you carried out the matter correspondingly. Your execution was sloppy, and you hit a wall. You have not achieved results. Are there any principles in the fulfillment of your duties like this, when you do things like this? In all things that you do, in all the duties that you fulfill, if they are all carried out based on your ideas, without seeking truths, without fellowshiping the truths, without consultation, without praying, without pondering, if the matters were carried out without even determining the principles of practice, then you are someone who has no principle in the things that he does, and you have failed in fulfilling your duties.
How do we tell if a person is someone who fears God? Look at whether he has principles in the things that he does, whether he is able to practice truths in fulfilling his duties. It is sufficient to look at these two things, then everything is determined, it is indisputable. Some people are quite good at fellowshiping the truths, their speech is clean and clear, but they have no principles in how they do things, their fulfillment of duties is a big mess. Others can tell, at a glance, that they are talkers without any reality, that they are surely not men who fear God. To determine if someone fears God, we must look at whether that person has principles when doing things as well as how he handles the truths. The attitude that one handles the truths is the attitude that one treats God. If you respect the truths then you also respect God; if you love the truths then you also love God. If you are disinterested in the truths, if you ignore the truths, then it shows that you are indifferent toward God, that God has no place in your heart, that you are not someone who fears God. Some men are able to do all kinds of wicked things, they are even able to lend Satan the offerings to God. Do such men have a heart that fears God? These men betrayed their Master for profit, they are the same as Judas. Some men, when they make agreements with the non-believers, they only agree to the demands of non-believers without putting in the demands of God’s house. This is betraying one’s country for profit to ingratiate Satan. Do such men have a heart that fears God? When doing things for God’s house, you betrayed the interests of God’s house, yet when you are doing things for yourself, you fight for every benefit. What are you? You are the same as Judas, pure and simple. You are a despicable lowlife that only cares about profits. Isn’t this an appropriate way to look at people? Can God’s house still use such men? To use such men equals using the devil and Satan. Not only are you not protecting the interests of God’s house, yet you dare to betray the interests of God’s house. Not only are you someone who does not fear God, you are also someone who betrays God. If you were arrested by the great red dragon, you would most certainly become Judas. At present, many people fail to protect the interests of God’s house when fulfilling their duties. Every time they encountered some small difficulties when they were fulfilling their duties, they would ask me what to do. What issue is this? They saw that the interests of God’s house were being damaged, and they asked me then and there what to do. I said to them, if this were your money, if this were your affairs that are encountering danger, what would you do? Wouldn’t you know what to do? If you know what to do when your interests are being damaged, yet you do not know what to do when the interests of God’s house are being damaged, what issue is that? Do you have a heart that fears God? A man with a heart that fears God is loyal and obedient to God, he shares the concerns of God, he thinks God’s thoughts, he is attentive to God’s burdens. If they are unable to do this, what does it show? That they do not love God in their heart, therefore they are not protecting the interests of God’s house. They ask me what to do. However, if they are unable to find me, then they would fail to perform their task, and if the task is not done, it would then be at risk. When problems occur, what would they say? “I couldn’t find the above, I was unable to get in touch with him, therefore I didn’t want to carelessly handle this matter.” Tell me, what issue is this? Isn’t this shirking one’s responsibilities? If a normal person with proper sense indeed is unable to see through this matter clearly, and he is unable to find me, what should he do? Look at the great red dragon. When it encounters a particularly serious circumstance, it hurriedly convenes a politburo meeting. Even Satan’s country knows to convene an emergency meeting, why do you not know to convene an emergency meeting? You are even less than Satan. Even Satan knows to protect its own country, yet you are the leader of the church, and you do not know to protect the interests of the church? Isn’t this an issue? Tell me, how should I think about someone like this? If I were to tell God that such a thing has happened—that these people were unable to find me, therefore they didn’t know what to do—could there be any consolation or enjoyment in God’s heart? God would say that these people are trash, that they are useless, that it is a waste to care about them, that these people are not doing what they should, that they are utter disappointments during critical junctures. If your interests are being damaged, you would have a million ideas about what you should do, a thousand ways to solve the problem; yet when God’s house encounters any problem, you are unable to come up with even one solution. You are entrusted with so many important matters, yet how come you cannot even take this little bit of care? Those without a heart that fears God can accomplish nothing, and they do not deserve to be placed in important positions. For those men without a heart that fears God, there is no use to promote them, there is no use to say anything to them, there is no use to fellowship anything to them. Tell me, when Job encountered his trial, did he have a path? Did he have any experience? He had no experience, he had never experienced such a matter, he was confused as well. Yet initially Job never said a word, he prayed to God, he pondered what really was the matter, until several of his friends had come over, then he started to speak, and he said, “Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away.” Satan was waiting for these words, “I oppose you taking things away from me,” as well as other complaints. In the end, Job still thanked and praised God, and brought shame to Satan. On this matter, Job stood up and gave witness, he had a path, he knew how to witness for God, he knew how to satisfy God. …
If you are not someone who fears God and shuns evil, would God be pleased with you? (No.) Why would He not be pleased? Because you are not human, you do not deserve to be human, you are a beast, you are a devil. If you have believed in God for many years yet you still do not fear God, what are you? Are you not a devil and Satan? Are you not a beast? Only those men who fear God and shun evil are real humans, with real likeness of humans. We can also say that they are righteous humans, complete humans, that they will surely be praised by God. There is not the slightest exaggeration in what I have said. If you have believed in God for many years, yet you are not someone who fears God, then you are trash, you are a beast, you are not human, you have no heart, you have no humanity, and you are wicked. Having believed in God for many years, yet without any fear of God, can you still be called human? Who is going to associate with you as brother and sister? Who still dares to associate with you? Everyone fears repercussion and danger from being associated with you. If it were me, I would think, “It is worrisome if you become angry and repay my kindness with animosity. However, if you fear God, then I am at ease, for I know that you will surely not do any evil. If you fear God and shun evil, then I am willing to be your friend.” Not only am I willing to be your friend, even God is willing to be your friend. If you can become the confidant of God, then you are the person that God is looking for. God always tells me: “Are there several good people who are able to associate with others in harmony, who you can call to My side, so that we can have a good chat?” To which I say: “It’s hard to say about those people who have escaped overseas, I have yet to find any, but there could be a few among those in Mainland China.” These are some of God’s words: “And even more so in order that I may be able as soon as possible to be together with My firstborn sons.” Those to be perfected by God are those that God has been expecting to gain. God wishes to have more confidants with whom He can have some intimate words. The incarnate God is also lonely, for He is unable to have intimate words with anyone else. All men have no truths, God becomes disgusted every time He hears the non-believers’ philosophy of life, and thereafter He is no longer willing to talk with you. You must say things that are from the heart, with humanity, with truths, with reality. Nowadays, I am always concerned by my interactions with other people. I wonder, is this person someone who fears God? Can he accept the truths? Is he seeking the truths? If he is not someone like that, I do not wish to interact with him, for there is no point, and I would only regret such interactions. Some people have indeed undergone some transformations after they have been pruned and dealt with, and I feel a sense of consolation. These people are good, they are relatively reliable, I can entrust them with certain matters, they are able to accept dealing and pruning. Once they have listened to anything that I have said, they say, “Yes, this is how it shall be.” The way that these people handle things puts me at ease. Even for matters that they cannot see clearly through, once they have done some seeking and asked some questions, they put me at ease. They are quite good, these people are worth being associated with. They have some fear of God, there is hope that they will be saved. Some people who have only believed in God for one or two years, three to five years, I do not dare prune or deal with them. I wonder, “Can this person accept the truths? I cannot see it clearly.” Therefore, I do not dare deal with them or prune them, for once I do, once they become negative, they would run away, and isn’t that worrisome? Tell me, isn’t there always risks during the stage at which a man is being saved and is accepting God’s work? It is always quite worrisome. When associating with someone like that, you don’t know what you might encounter, how he would think of you in secret, or how he would treat you. God worries about those who do not have a heart that fears God, others also dare not associate themselves with such people. Once a man has a heart that fears God, he is basically settled, for this is someone who shall attain salvation, and he has no big issues. It should be safe to associate with him, and there shouldn’t be any danger. Maybe you have revealed some corruptions, maybe you have been careless in some areas and said things that hurt him, yet there is no danger, for he is forgiving, he is tolerant, he is able to handle such things according to the truths, therefore it is safe. When a person doesn’t fear God, if he becomes indignant, if he repays your kindness with animosity, then there is trouble. Why do the non-believers dare not extend their hand whenever others are hurt and are seeking help? They are afraid that others may turn around and bite them, and there is no reasoning with them. Therefore, the non-believers have come to conclusions like “it is impossible to judge a man’s heart from his face,” “the human heart is unfathomable,” or that people are too difficult to predict. Therefore, men say that the world is a dangerous place, the court is a treacherous place, and this is the reason. “The court is a treacherous place,” what it is really trying to say is that, the world itself is a treacherous place. It is men who are treacherous. Some people can never quite accept these things that I say, they say that I am making the world out to be too dangerous a place. Aren’t what I said facts? If what I have said are facts, and you are unable to accept them, it shows that your experience of the world is too shallow, that you have no idea how the world works, that you know nothing of human evils.
