"Practice of Being Quiet Before God" | English Christian Devotional Song

April 9, 2020

I

When talking with others or walking,

you say, “My heart is close to God.

I’m not focused on outward things,”

then you’re quiet before God.

Don’t come into contact with things

that draw your heart to the outside.

Do not make contact with people

who draw your heart away from God.

If you pursue what is not God,

being perfected stands no chance.

Those who today can hear His words

but can’t quiet in His presence,

they are people who don’t love the truth,

they are people who don’t love God.

If you don’t offer yourself right now,

then when will you offer your all?

Drop whatever distracts you

from being close to God,

or stay away from it.

That’s better for your life.

The Holy Spirit does great work,

God Himself perfects people now.

If you can’t quiet before God,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne.

II

To quiet one’s heart before God

is a genuine offering.

Those who truly offer their hearts

can be completed by God.

Undisturbed, whether dealt or pruned,

met with frustrations or failure,

your heart should still always remain,

always be quiet before God.

Drop whatever distracts you

from being close to God,

or stay away from it.

That’s better for your life.

The Holy Spirit does great work,

God Himself perfects people now.

If you can’t quiet before God,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne.

III

No matter how people treat you,

make your heart quiet before God.

In all environments you face,

persecution or suffering,

no matter what trials you face,

make your heart quiet before God.

To being perfected, this is the way.

To being perfected, this is the way.

Drop whatever distracts you

from being close to God,

or stay away from it.

That’s better for your life.

The Holy Spirit does great work,

God Himself perfects people now.

If you can’t quiet before God,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne,

you haven’t returned to God’s throne.
