Christian Testimony Video | "Can People Pleasers Gain God's Salvation?"

August 27, 2021

Educated by his parents and at school, the main character takes sayings like "Harmoniousness is a treasure; forbearance is brilliance" and "Keeping silent on the faults of good friends makes for a long and good friendship" as mottos to live his life by. He never offends anyone in word or deed, and is thus seen by everyone around him as a "nice guy." And he continues to do things this way after believing in Almighty God. He discovers that the brother he's working with is arrogant and remiss in his duty, but he never dares to mention it, which ultimately harms the work of the church. Another time, although he knows a sister isn't upholding the interests of the church, he says nothing about it and ends up beaten up by a gang of thugs. Faced with reality and judged by God's words, he realizes how deceitful and despicable it is to conduct himself using these philosophies for living, and he comes to see that being a people pleaser essentially means that he is a deceitful person, loathed by God. He then begins to hate himself and pursue the truth to become an honest person, and finally, he becomes able to live out some human likeness.
