Man experienced My warmth,

they once sincerely served Me,

they were truly obedient,

doing everything for Me.

But people can’t do that now;

in their spirit they all cry.

They look at Me, call for help;

they cannot escape their plight.

swearing by earth and heaven

to repay Me My kindness

with all their heart’s affections.

I would give mankind My help

due to the resolve of theirs.

Because of this earnestness,

their love gained My acceptance.

calmly facing death for My sake.

Smoothing the worry from their brows,

I carefully watched their face.

Countless times I loved them,

as though My treasure they were.

Countless times I hated them,

as if they were enemies.

Still man can’t fathom

what is in My mind.
