468 God’s Words Provide All Man Needs in Life

Verse 1

God’s words are the principles for man to live his life,

the goal, the path and the direction that lead him to be saved.

They provide all truths he must possess as a creature,

the truth of how he worships and obeys God.

They’re the truth that guarantees mankind’s survival.

They’re living daily bread; they’re the only solid ground

that allows him to stand strong, to stand up and be strong.

Chorus

Whether God’s words seem profound or plain,

they are all truths man needs in life entry.

They’re the source of living waters

that enables man’s survival in the flesh and spirit,

that man needs to stay alive.

Verse 2

God’s words carry truth of normal humanity

and the truth by which mankind can break away

from evil and corruption and Satan’s snares.

They bring tireless teaching, exhortation,

encouragement and solace from the Creator.

They enlighten and guide man,

so man will understand everything that’s positive.

Chorus

Whether God’s words seem profound or plain,

they are all truths man needs in life entry.

They’re the source of living waters

that enables man’s survival in the flesh and spirit,

that man needs to stay alive.

Bridge

God’s words are the guarantee that man will gain

all that’s righteous and all that’s good.

God’s words are the standard

to measure everything, all people, all events,

and all things in the world.

They’re the signs that lead men

towards salvation and light.

Chorus

Whether God’s words seem profound or plain,

they are all truths man needs in life entry.

They’re the source of living waters

that enables man’s survival in the flesh and spirit,

that man needs to stay alive.
