881 God Takes Great Pains to Save Man

Verse 1

In flesh God’s worked for years, spoken at length.

He begins with the “service-doer trial,”

then speaks prophecies and starts to judge,

uses trial of death for refining.

Verse 2

He then leads people to the right track

of belief in God, speaking words,

providing people with all the truth,

fighting man’s notions of all kinds.

Verse 3

Later He gives man a little hope,

so they can see what is ahead,

which is that God and man will enter

a good destination hand in hand.

Chorus

Though men are creations of God,

and Satan has corrupted them all,

though they are worthless wretches

and their natures are like this,

God won’t treat them by their essence

or the punishment they deserve.

His words are stern, yet to people,

He’s merciful and tolerant.

Verse 4

Though God’s work is carried out as planned,

it’s in alignment with man’s needs.

It is not casually performed.

All work is done by God’s wisdom.

Verse 5

Because of love, because of His love,

with His wisdom and in earnest,

He treats all these corrupted people,

doesn’t toy with them at all.

Verse 6

Notice God’s tone, notice His wording.

Sometimes it brings discomforts or trials.

His words at times put people at ease.

He’s mindful and thoughtful of them.

Chorus

Though men are creations of God,

and Satan has corrupted them all,

though they are worthless wretches

and their natures are like this,

God won’t treat them by their essence

or the punishment they deserve.

His words are stern, yet to people,

He’s merciful and tolerant.

Outro

With care, slowly ponder this!

If God didn’t pity all,

treat them with tolerance, grace,

would He speak countless words to save?
