584 Give All of Yourself Up to God’s Work

Verse 1

God’s Spirit is working great things now.

His work among the Gentiles has begun.

To work swiftly and effectively,

He divides all creation into kinds.

Chorus

Offer your whole being for all of His work.

Discern and know all He’s done for you.

Put all your strength, make His work effective.

This is what you must understand, understand.

Verse 2

Don’t fight, leave a way out or seek comforts.

This delays God’s work, spoils your great future,

brings destruction rather than protection.

So, wouldn’t this be foolish of you?

Verse 3

The things you greedily enjoy today

are just what is ruining your future.

But the pain you are suffering today

is what’s protecting and keeping you safe.

Chorus

Offer your whole being for all of His work.

Discern and know all He’s done for you.

Put all your strength, make His work effective.

This is what you must understand, understand.

Bridge

Take heed and be clear on all these things,

so that you don’t fall into temptation

which is so hard to find your way out from,

or blunder into the thick, heavy fog,

never to see the sun again.

When the fog clears, you’re in the great day’s judgment.

Chorus

Offer your whole being for all of His work.

Discern and know all He’s done for you.

Put all your strength, make His work effective.

This is what you must understand, understand.
