916 The Authority and Power of the Creator Are Limitless

Intro

“I do set My bow in the cloud,

and it shall be for a token of a covenant

between Me and the earth.”

Verse 1

These are the original words

said to man by the Creator.

As He spoke, a rainbow appeared.

It has remained until this day.

The rainbow embodies the pledge

made between God and the people,

continuity of God’s power

after the words He did speak.

Pre-chorus 1

It needs no scientific basis,

it was not man that made it,

no man can ever change it.

Chorus

“God is as good as His word, and His word will be achieved,

and that which He accomplishes lasts for eternity.”

Such words are manifested here for everyone to see,

a clear sign and a virtue of God’s authority.

Verse 2

The Creator used His own method

to keep His covenant and promise,

and He used the rainbow as a sign

of His covenant with mankind.

It’s a heavenly edict and law

which shall always remain unchanged,

whether with respect to mankind

or regarding the Creator.

Pre-chorus 2

In this law His power is manifest,

as it was in creating all things and men;

His authority is limitless.

Verse 3

This rainbow was one more act performed

by God using His words,

a sign of the pact that God made

with humans with His words.

He told man what He would achieve,

how it would come about.

This way was the matter fulfilled

according to words from God’s mouth.

Pre-chorus 3

Only God has such power,

and today, millennia after His claim,

men still see the rainbow God’s words created.

Bridge

Because of those words God spoke,

this thing has remained unchanged

right up until today.

None can remove this rainbow,

and no one can change its laws.

It exists solely for God’s words.

This is precisely God’s authority.

Chorus

“God is as good as His word, and His word will be achieved,

and that which He accomplishes lasts for eternity.”

Such words are manifested here for everyone to see,

a clear sign and a virtue of God’s authority.
