Today we will continue fellowshipping on our previous topic. Previously, we fellowshipped on the origins of all kinds of people, and we discussed three types. Do you remember what the three types are? (One type is being reincarnated from animals, one is being reincarnated from devils, and another is being reincarnated from humans.) Where did we reach in our discussion? (We reached the point of discussing how the type of people who are reincarnated from humans possess normal humanity, and how they have conscience and reason within their humanity. This involves the two characteristics of discerning right from wrong, and knowing what’s correct and what’s incorrect.) One is discerning right from wrong, and the other is knowing what’s correct and what’s incorrect; these are the characteristics of humans. Humans have these two characteristics primarily because they possess conscience and reason; so, those who possess conscience and reason are capable of discerning right from wrong and knowing what’s correct and what’s incorrect. We also did some detailed fellowship on this aspect. We mainly fellowshipped about the manifestations of those who cannot discern right from wrong and cannot know what’s correct and what’s incorrect, exposing some of their manifestations on the negative side, and after that, we talked about what positive things are, didn’t we? (Yes.) Today, let’s continue fellowshipping on the topic of being reincarnated from humans. Those who are reincarnated from humans not only can discern right from wrong, but they also know what’s correct and what’s incorrect. Discerning right from wrong is mainly about knowing what positive things are and what negative things are—that is, one who can discern right from wrong can discern all kinds of people, events, and things; even with things they haven’t encountered before, they will use their conscience and reason to make a simple assessment of them. If they encounter such things and feel uneasy in their conscience or can’t square these things with their reason, they will make a basic choice, subconsciously sensing the correctness or incorrectness, or the positive or negative nature, of such things. That is to say, true humans will use the basic feelings of their conscience or reason to assess the unfamiliar things that they encounter, to discern whether they are positive things or negative things, and whether they are correct or incorrect. However, for people who do not possess conscience and reason, it is very difficult to discern right from wrong and know what’s correct and what’s incorrect, whether it concerns unfamiliar things or familiar things. In particular, they’re even less capable of knowing whether some new things that appear in society are correct or not. They cannot discern whether they’re positive or negative things. If a positive thing appears in society, they will even go along with worldly trends in how they treat it, and in condemning and rejecting it. This is the difference between humans and non-humans. You see, though they appear human all the same, some have never heard the truth or received the provision of God’s words, yet no matter what environment they are in, they have a lowest boundary for their actions—at the very least, a lowest boundary of conscience. They will absolutely not do things that go against conscience or morality. This is because deep in their hearts they are repulsed by negative things, and they possess human conscience and reason, and so in how they conduct themselves and act, they have a basic lowest boundary of morality. As for those non-humans, however, looking at the qualities of their attribute, they do not possess conscience and reason. For one thing, they cannot discern between positive and negative things. For another, they feel no repulsion or detestation toward those negative things or even obviously incorrect things, nor do they have the ability to resist them; they are even capable of loving negative things and following evil trends. What is even more lamentable is that some people who believe in God and claim to follow God can still follow evil trends and do those wicked things just like nonbelievers, doing so without any sense of shame at all, nor even any reproach from their conscience.

Nowadays, many people take selfies with their phones. What kind of photos do people with normal humanity take? They take photos that are meaningful and worth remembering, with the aim of leaving behind some wonderful memories. Even if they take photos of themselves, they take ones that look refined, appropriate, dignified, and upright. Their actions in this regard are all within the scope of the conscience and reason of normal humanity. But those without conscience and reason are different; they take selfies too, but their selfies are problematic. What kind of photos do some women take? They don’t take dignified, upright, and appropriate photos. When they see those nonbelieving women online taking some provocative photos, sexualized photos, or particularly bizarre photos, they imitate them, also taking some photos that make men drool and have lustful thoughts—that is, they specifically take photos of themselves looking like harlots, loose women, or sexualized photos. Some women like to wear heavy makeup, painting their faces very white and their lips very red, and applying eye makeup in a way that they end up looking like freaks; they deliberately assume a seductive, bewitching manner in front of the camera, with a look in their eyes that is entrancing and lewd, making men have lustful thoughts when they see all this. There are also women who drape their long hair over their faces, tilting their faces up slightly and showing a seductive, lewd look through the gaps in their hair. In short, such women take photos using whatever expressions and demeanors they think are seductive and sexy. After taking them, these women also feel particularly narcissistic, admiring their own provocative photos from time to time. What’s more, they put their most prized and favorite selfies as the wallpaper on their computer or phone, and some of these women even post them online. Whenever they look at these photos, they feel they are so charming, that they were born to be a star, and that if they hadn’t believed in God, they would definitely be a big celebrity. Look, what kind of path are they walking? Not only do they admire the photos themselves all the time, but they also show these photos to the people around them. If people don’t praise them after seeing the photos, they feel dissatisfied inside. If they meet someone of the same ilk who particularly appreciates their photos and says, “This photo is taken so well, it’s a star photo! It looks just like so-and-so,” they feel even more pleased with themselves, and revel in this feeling every day. Some people also like to decorate their photos, putting a pair of rabbit ears on their heads and adding cat whiskers, thinking they are cuter than rabbits and kittens. They ask everyone they meet, “Do you think I look more like a rabbit or a kitten?” When people say, “Who knows what you look like?” they get very angry. Tell Me, isn’t it perverted for a person to not want to be a proper human being but to want to be an animal? They even post these “masterpieces” of theirs online, trying to garner praise from more people. There are also some people who dress up as swordsmen or knights-errant when taking selfies—or as Spider-Man or Batman from Western movies—or they dress up as cool, aloof, and mysterious figures. They do this all in the hope that others will like and approve of them, and they become infatuated with this every day. Tell Me, what kind of people are these? Are they normal people? Absolutely not; they are non-humans. Although taking selfies is just a simple, trivial matter among evil trends, it reveals a person’s preferences and pursuits, and reveals their character, the needs of their humanity, and the things that lie deep within their soul. Dignified and upright people use the mobile phone, this tool, to take photos of positive, meaningful, and valuable things, whereas people who do not possess the qualities of humanity take photos of negative, wicked things—things that are needed by their own nature essence. It can be said that the kind of person someone is determines the kind of needs they have, the kind of photos they take, and the way they choose to dress themselves up and present their image. People with normal humanity will choose to take some dignified, upright, refined, meaningful, and valuable images as keepsakes, while people without normal humanity will follow the evil trends of the world, doing the things they like. Although taking selfies is a small matter, it is enough to see people’s innermost preferences and pursuits. No matter what the matter is, even if it’s something in which people with normal humanity can’t tell very clearly what things are positive and what things are negative, because such people are restrained by conscience and reason, they will naturally choose positive things. If, owing to a momentary lack of discernment, they choose a negative thing or inadvertently do something negative, they will quickly have a feeling in their hearts—their conscience will reproach them, or they won’t be able to square this with their reason. When people who do not possess humanity face positive things, they feel that positive things are so bland and dull, so unworthy of mention, and looked down upon by people, while in their hearts they particularly like and admire negative things, especially those things that are very popular within evil trends. If you take a dignified and upright photo of this type of person, they will be repulsed and turn their nose up at it, saying, “Who still takes photos like this? It’s so outdated!” They themselves choose to take sexualized photos. Normal people find such photos disgusting and unsightly, but this type of person says, “This is sexy. Do you understand what sexy is? This is fashionable; it’s high art. You don’t get art!” Not only do they not feel disgusted when taking sexualized photos of themselves, but they also particularly like to follow these fashionable and sexualized things.

Non-humans are extremely enthusiastic about negative things. When some negative things appear among evil trends, they will quickly learn about them and will have a high degree of acceptance toward them. If they have the opportunity and the conditions allow, they will definitely do those things from the evil trends that they like and approve of. They will absolutely not refuse, and absolutely will not be bystanders, much less will they detest or stay away from them; instead, they will throw themselves into them. In particular, some people who believe in God also closely follow some trendy sayings and practices they hear coming from the West. For example, there is a holiday in the West called Halloween, which is actually a festival of ghosts. On this day, adults and children all wear various costumes like those for stage or theatrical performances. Some dress up as witches, some as princes or princesses, and others as frogs, snakes, dinosaurs, and so on. Then they take baskets or bags to malls, shops, and various homes to ask for candy. Some people who believe in God also celebrate this festival, and wear ghost costumes, feeling quite happy and thinking this is a good opportunity to play different roles. What costumes do they choose to wear? They don’t wear costumes of relatively positive figures, like military officers, generals, or heroes; they insist on wearing the clothes of witches and witch doctors. Dressing up like various devils to celebrate the festival of ghosts, they feel happy and find it fun, failing to realize that this is something God detests and a negative thing in the human world. Deep down, this type of person has no clear understanding of such negative things, and does not know how they should treat these things of traditional culture and these secular trends. They also have no true understanding of what exactly they themselves are, not knowing whether they are humans or ghosts. They don’t know if they are humans or ghosts, but it’s hard to get them to be humans, whereas if you ask them to be ghosts or animals, they find it endlessly enjoyable and never refuse. So tell Me, what exactly is this type of person? If you ask them to be a person with conscience and reason, they will often say, “How much is conscience worth? Who still cares about conscience nowadays? Who still cares about affection and moral justice? Who still cares about morality?” But if you ask them to dress up and play as a witch doctor, or wear a dinosaur costume to play as a dinosaur, they do not object or refuse. Tell Me, what kind of person is this? In their nature essence, do they actually have even a little love for positive things? Are they at all repulsed by negative things? Looking at it from the people, events, and things they choose, it’s obvious that they have no love whatsoever for positive things, and feel no repulsion whatsoever toward negative things. On the contrary, they are particularly repulsed by positive things, regarding them with mockery and scorn. As for negative things—especially those that are particularly popular and currently very much in vogue among evil trends—they greatly admire and approve of them. Some people even feel proud of being able to keep up with evil trends and play the roles of devils, evil spirits, and wild beasts, feeling that they are different from the rest. Obviously, this type of person has no conscience and reason; the more something comes from evil trends, the more they like it. Some Eastern people in particular—upon hearing people talk about what’s popular in the West, what Westerners like, and what Westerners wear and use—accept it all without applying any discernment, and try to imitate it. Even if it’s something wicked, which goes against conscience and reason, and goes against the truth, they still accept it. Some people say, “Is this worshipping foreign things and fawning on foreigners?” Is that what it is? (No, in their nature essence they just like these wicked things.) That’s right. They feel that things popular among Eastern people are not sophisticated enough, so they follow things popular in the West, wanting to be unique and different from the rest, and to be held in high regard by others. In any case, this type of person does not possess the qualities of humanity. Judging by their preferences and pursuits, and also by their thoughts, views, and revelations in every matter, they have no conscience and reason. Their thoughts and views are the same as those of non-humans, and even the same as those of devils and Satan. Their stance and perspective in viewing matters are precisely contrary to, and antagonistic to, the stance and perspective of a normal person as required by God. However, because true humans innately possess human conscience and reason, they will judge any person, event, or thing based on the feelings of their conscience and reason, choosing the positive things from among them, and discerning what is correct and incorrect.

Some people, in the environment of Eastern society, are restricted by traditional Eastern culture and can abide by some Eastern traditions. Although they do not do some things that go against conscience and morality, deep down they like these things. Therefore, once the environment changes, once they have the opportunity, they will show the true side of their humanity, completely change how they seem, and reveal a non-human quality. How should this non-human quality be explained? It is denoted by not discerning right from wrong, not knowing what’s correct and what’s incorrect, and not possessing the conscience and reason of normal humanity. For example, some people, when they are in the East, appear to have an upright style, to be dignified, virtuous, and refined, and to particularly care for their families, being free of notoriety. But when they get to the West, they are different. They hear some people say, “Westerners are particularly open, and particularly free in terms of relationships between men and women.” Actually, this does not accord with the facts, but according to their thoughts and notions, they believe that once they get to the West, they’re free, and they don’t need to worry about any reputation or moral integrity, or the sayings of traditional Eastern culture. They think women don’t need to abide by womanly virtue, and men don’t need to stick to monogamy, and that after coming to the West, they can be loose with the opposite sex, and no one will laugh at them or criticize them. They believe that this is just how Western culture is, that this is the social trend, and no one opposes it. Once they start thinking this way, aren’t they no longer walking the good path? The things they truly love in their humanity are about to be exposed, as is the true face of their humanity. After Eastern people—especially Chinese people—come to the West, because their spouses are back in their home country, while they are alone in a foreign land with unfamiliar people and places, and they have to both work and live and handle some other complicated matters, their lives are quite difficult, and they feel very lonely on their own. Therefore, a kind of “war-time couple” has become popular among the Chinese community in the United States—this involves finding a temporary spouse to set up a temporary home and live together, helping and supporting each other to cope with life’s difficulties together, and at the same time satisfying the physiological needs of the flesh. Because it’s hard to get by alone in a foreign land, many people find a member of the opposite sex to form a war-time couple to satisfy their various needs. It is said that after some war-time couples have lived together for many years, the spouses of both parties come, and the two families even become friends and interact with each other. This is a practice that has become fashionable among nonbelievers to cope with the difficulties of life. Tell Me, are there people among those who believe in God who do such things? (Some disbelievers can also do this.) Among those who believe in God, there are many who do not pursue the truth, and there are also some who are obviously disbelievers totally uninterested in the truth. Some even do not possess conscience and reason. When these people hear about these negative things, deep down they are actually not repulsed; they feel these things are acceptable, and some even revel in them. They are not disgusted by these things, and even think, “This is very normal. Nonbelievers all do this; it’s a trend, not a crime. First, it’s not illegal. Second, it’s not corrupting public morals. Third, this is a human physiological need. Doing this is fair, reasonable, and legal—what’s wrong with it?” They think this is normal. Let’s not go into nonbelievers—if people who believe in God can do such things, what kind of people are they? Isn’t there something wrong with their humanity? (Yes, this type of person has no humanity.) People without humanity can do such disgusting things. People with humanity, let alone doing such things, cannot even accept the thoughts and views of this evil trend, and are repulsed by and detest them from the bottom of their hearts. Regardless of whether it’s so both parties can care for each other or for some other purpose, from the perspective of the conscience and reason of humanity, forming a war-time couple is not a positive thing. If a person who believes in God doesn’t even know whether this kind of thing is a positive thing or whether it’s reasonable, then do they have conscience and humanity? Some people say, “Although I don’t know if this is a positive thing, I believe in God, so I can’t do this. Nonbelievers don’t believe in God or fear God, so they have no awareness when doing this, but I believe in God, so I can’t do this.” If they think this way, it proves they have human conscience and reason. Although they don’t know whether this matter is correct or not, nor do they know if it is a positive thing or what God says about it, they are able to use the basic conscience and reason of humanity to assess it. Even if they cannot clearly know whether it is positive or negative, they can see that this matter goes against morality and humanity and should not be done. They have a certain level of discernment regarding such things, so when such things happen to them, they refuse them. It can be said that those who do not refuse and can accept such things in their entirety are not humans; they do not have normal humanity, and do not possess conscience and reason. The fact that they can accept these negative things shows that their conscience and reason do not function at all, and that they haven’t used the minimum standard that is conscience and reason to discern, resist, or refuse such things; therefore, there is obviously a problem with this type of person’s humanity. Some people say, “There is a problem with this type of person’s humanity, so are they of animals or of devils?” Regardless of whether they are of animals or of devils, they are collectively referred to as non-humans. When they come to the West and see that Western countries are developed, affluent, and free, and that their social systems are more advanced than those of Eastern countries, they think that everything in the West is right and better than in the East. They think Eastern people are closed-off, conservative, and unworldly, while Westerners are open, free, and worldly-wise, and are particularly open regarding marriage or relationships between the sexes. They think it is very normal for men and women to hug and kiss when they meet on the street. But in fact, Westerners have principles when hugging upon meeting; they don’t just hug anyone casually. In particular, adults don’t do this kind of thing much; it’s mostly young people who like to do this. On the contrary, in places where Asians gather, one often sees a man and a woman engaging in various intimate acts in public, especially in crowded areas on the street. One can even see older people doing this, which is particularly disgusting to see. Perhaps some Asians traveled to the West and saw the cultural life and etiquette of Westerners, and then claimed that Westerners are free, open, and sexually liberated. Based on these claims, many Asians arbitrarily imagine all kinds of wicked things in their minds. In fact, if you truly delve into Western society or have in-depth contact and interaction with Westerners, you will find that many things are completely different from what Asians imagine and say. Especially in some communities with religious backgrounds or more remote communities, they are particularly conservative and traditional, not at all like the myths spread by Asians. The claims that Westerners are very open about relationships between the sexes are just people’s imaginings, not facts. If someone really thinks this way, and applies this so-called openness they think is true to themselves, arbitrarily indulging their fleshly lusts, then that is their own problem; it has nothing whatsoever to do with the trends, culture, or traditions of any society. It is not Western culture or traditions misleading them, but rather that they themselves have problems. Is this not so? (Yes.) When Eastern people mention Westerners, the first thing they say is, “Westerners are free, open, and sexually liberated,” implying that people in the West can indulge in lust or even commit incest. Governed by such thoughts and views, Eastern people begin to indulge themselves after arriving in the West. Their indulgence is not because they truly saw these phenomena and imitated them, but because it is simply in their nature to love wickedness; they merely use so-called Western culture or Western traditions as an excuse to indulge their flesh. In fact, because this type of person is not a positive figure and does not possess the qualities of humanity, and because it is in their innate nature to love negative things and all incorrect things, they find various excuses and pretexts to do things that are contrary to or even hostile to positive things. Moreover, they feel fully justified, thinking that Westerners are all like this nowadays. Is this factual? They spout nothing but nonsense and make baseless accusations! Obviously, when this type of person says, “Westerners are free, open, and sexually liberated,” they actually have ulterior intentions—to achieve their goal of indulging their lusts. Why can this type of person follow these negative things with such self-assuredness? For one thing, they do not have a correct understanding of positive and negative things; when encountering unfamiliar things, they cannot use the minimum standard that is conscience and reason to assess them. Obviously, this type of person does not possess the qualities of humanity. If they cannot comprehend a clearly positive thing as a positive thing, nor accept it as a positive thing, then this type of person definitely does not possess the conscience and reason of a normal person. For another, if someone does not know what positive things are, nor what negative things are, then they obviously cannot discern right from wrong and correct from incorrect. Because they hold erroneous thoughts and views, even if they do some incorrect things or things that go against conscience and reason, they have no awareness of it whatsoever. It’s very obvious that this type of person cannot distinguish between right and wrong and between correct and incorrect. They do not possess the conscience and reason of normal humanity, and they don’t know whether some things that happen in life or in the process of survival are correct or incorrect, nor is it possible for them to use their conscience to assess and evaluate their correctness and incorrectness. Therefore, they often do some incorrect things that go against conscience and reason, and after doing them, they have no awareness of it whatsoever, and even feel fully justified, thinking they have acted correctly and are upright people. Is this not completely inverting the way things are? (Yes.)
