91 The Last Days’ Work Is Mainly to Give Man Life

Verse 1

Through the means and the power of the word

results are gained in this last stage of work.

Man comes to fathom past work God’s completed,

previously unsolved mysteries;

through the word he’s enlightened by the Holy Spirit,

learns the work of past apostles and prophets,

and the principles which they worked with;

he comes to know God’s own disposition.

The word shows him man’s defiance and resistance,

and it teaches him of his own essence.

Pre-chorus 1

Through these steps of work and the words that are said,

man gradually learns the work of the Spirit,

comes to know the work of God’s incarnate flesh,

more than this, the whole of His disposition.

Chorus

In the words spoken at this stage,

both prophecy and truth are spoken,

but the main purpose of these words

is so life upon man is bestowed.

Verse 2

And there is yet more which you have learned,

yet more that you have gained through the word.

The word made it possible for you to see

God’s management work over six thousand years.

Did the word not help you to understand

and abandon your former notions?

In this stage there are no signs and wonders,

like those in the last stage Jesus worked on earth.

And was it not the word that helped you to see

why God reveals no signs and wonders?

Pre-chorus 2

So the work of past apostles and prophets

is surpassed by the words spoken at this stage.

Even the prophecies told by these prophets

could not have yielded this result.

Chorus

In the words spoken at this stage,

both prophecy and truth are spoken,

but the main purpose of these words

is so life upon man is bestowed.
