267 Satan Controls People’s Thoughts With Fame and Gain

Intro

Satan rules men’s thoughts with fame and gain,

till that’s all they can think of.

Verse 1

People break their backs and suffer hardships,

enduring shame, giving up everything;

any judgment or decision made

is simply for the sake of fame and gain.

Verse 2

Thus, Satan binds man with unseen shackles.

They’re not strong or brave enough to throw them off.

They struggle on with them unknowingly,

shunning and betraying God for fame and gain.

Bridge 1

Man becomes more and more wicked.

Each new generation is destroyed

in the midst of Satan’s fame and gain.

Verse 3

Perhaps you can’t tell Satan’s evil motives,

and you think one needs fame and gain to live,

and if they leave these behind, they can’t see their goals,

and the future will become dark and gloomy.

Bridge 2

But slowly, you will one day realize

fame and fortune are just monstrous chains

that Satan uses to enslave mankind.

Verse 4

Then you’ll fully fight off Satan’s power

and resist the chains it binds you with.

When you wish to shake what Satan planted,

you’ll break with it and loathe all it has brought.

Outro

Only then will man possess real yearning and love for God.
