775 Seek to Love God No Matter How Great Your Suffering

Verse 1

You should understand how valuable

the work that God does today is.

Most people don’t have that knowledge,

they think suffering is valueless:

They’re oppressed for their faith,

rejected by the world,

their homes are troubled too,

their future all too bleak, all too bleak.

Verse 2

The suffering of some becomes too much,

so much that they want to die.

How does this show a God-loving heart?

People like this are worthless!

They cannot persevere,

they have no stamina.

They’re weak and feeble too,

and they are powerless.

Chorus

You must see clearly that

God cleanses you by refining you.

So your testimony you must bear always

during the last days.

No matter how you’re suffering,

as long as you are still breathing,

stay true to God, bow to His hand.

This is true love for God, a strong testimony.

Verse 3

God is eager for man to love Him,

but as they do, their sufferings grow.

The more their love deepens for God,

through greater trials they will go.

If you really love Him,

great sufferings will come.

But if you don’t, maybe all will seem

well with life, well with life.

Verse 4

When your heart starts to practice loving God,

you will find many things hard.

You’re small in stature and so are refined,

and you can’t satisfy God.

With weakness deep within,

you can’t fulfill God’s will.

You feel it’s out of reach,

so you will be refined, be refined.

Chorus

You must see clearly

that God cleanses you by refining you.

So your testimony you must bear always

during the last days.

No matter how you’re suffering,

as long as you are still breathing,

stay true to God, bow to His hand.

This is true love for God,

a strong testimony, strong testimony, yeah.

Oh, stay true to God.
