The Above’s Answers to the Questions of God’s Chosen People From Around the World (10)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – January 15, 2026 (Part Three)

Question 2: We want to elect people who can do real work as leaders and workers, but what exactly is doing real work? How do we judge whether a person can do real work?

Answer: What is doing real work? Remember this: It means that the work someone does is beneficial for people’s belief in God and entry into the truth reality; beneficial for people’s understanding of the truth and ability to resolve problems; beneficial for people doing their duties in a way that is up to standard and satisfying God; and the problems they resolve are all connected to duty and life entry. In that case, the work they do is real work. What are the responsibilities of leaders and workers? To lead God’s chosen people to eat and drink God’s words; to lead God’s chosen people to experience God’s words and God’s work of judgment; to lead God’s chosen people to know themselves so as to cast off their corrupt dispositions and enter into the truth reality; and to lead God’s chosen people to be able to forsake everything and fulfill the duty of a created being. If the work leaders and workers do is this work, they are doing real work. The more work they do, the more energy God’s chosen people have in their belief in God; the more work they do, the more truth realities God’s chosen people enter into; the more work they do, the better the church life becomes; and the more work they do, the smoother the various items of work in the church progress. If their work can achieve these good, positive results, this shows that they are doing real work. In the process of leading God’s chosen people, leaders and workers will often encounter many problems. If they can promptly resolve all problems relating to God’s chosen people’s entry into the truth reality in their belief in God, if they can promptly resolve all difficulties relating to the duties of God’s chosen people, and if they can promptly resolve all difficulties relating to God’s chosen people forsaking everything to follow God—after leaders and workers have resolved all these problems, God’s chosen people will get results from their belief in God, they will get results from following God, they will get results from their experience of God’s work, they will get results from doing the duty of a created being, and in the end, they will all be able to know and submit to God. So, if the results achieved by the work done by such a leader or worker are all positive results, then the work they do is real work.

I may have put this in a way that some people still do not quite understand, so let me give some negative examples to make it clearer for you. Suppose a leader or worker talks about words and doctrines all day long, but cannot resolve any real issues relating to the life entry of God’s chosen people or any real difficulties in their duties. Are they someone who does real work? (No.) They only spout words and doctrines and do not do real work. Over the years, many leaders and workers in Chinese churches have been dismissed because they only spouted words and doctrines and did not do real work. What specific manifestations did they show? When brothers and sisters had real difficulties or problems, they did not fellowship the truth to resolve them; when people consistently did their duty in a perfunctory manner and delayed the work, they did not resolve it; and even when antichrists and evil people disturbed the church and misled people, they did not stop them or deal with them. There were so many real problems in the church, but they ignored them all and did not resolve them. They wouldn’t even lift a finger to help. Yet, such people still spouted words and doctrines in gatherings to show off, trying to show people how much they understood the truth and how well they could preach, and trying to get people to look up to and worship them. Tell me, what kind of people are they? Are they false leaders? Are they hypocritical Pharisees? (Yes.) What specific manifestations do hypocritical people show? They do not resolve any real difficulties relating to their brothers and sisters’ pursuit of the truth, but only lecture people with some words and doctrines. In matters in which the truth principles must be upheld, they are people pleasers and fence-sitters, offending no one and not upholding the truth principles in the slightest. In matters involving people disrupting and disturbing the work of God’s house, they turn a blind eye and pretend not to see—they do not safeguard the interests of God’s house in the slightest. In matters involving antichrists misleading people, they steer clear and never expose the antichrists, fearing retaliation. Are such people doing real work? (No.) They have preached and worked for so long, and they can speak words and doctrines so well, so why do they not resolve real problems? What governs the way in which they work? The way they work is governed by satanic philosophies. They are people pleasers and offend no one, so that everyone worships them and elects them as leaders again in the next election. Aren’t they cunning? (They are.) Does God like such leaders and workers? (No.) Why does God not like such leaders and workers? (Because they are not of one heart with God.) Do you know why the Lord Jesus loathed and hated the Pharisees so much when He was working? Why did He curse the Pharisees with woe many times? (Because although the Pharisees believed in God in name, their every action resisted God.) It’s because although such people outwardly appear to speak correctly, and speak words and doctrines logically and clearly, this is their disguise—their cunning side. But in fact, they are not of one heart with God, they are not people who stand on God’s side in all things, and still less are they people who safeguard the interests of God’s house. Instead, they undermine God at every turn, resist God at every turn, and disrupt and disturb God’s work. Therefore, God loathes and hates hypocritical Pharisees, and He loathes and hates such leaders and workers. Tell me, if I prune and dismiss such false leaders, will they hate me in their hearts? (Yes.) Why will they hate me? Because I exposed them for what they truly are—hypocrites—and dismissed them. Having lost their status, they hate me. Is that not the case? (It is.) Are you bold enough to uphold principles and expose false leaders and antichrists? (Yes.) If you keep exposing false leaders and antichrists, they will definitely hate you, and if you’re not careful, they might even nail you to the cross. Are you afraid? (No.) Remember, although there are some people in the church who can pursue the truth and bear testimony for God, there will definitely also be some hypocritical Pharisees who fight for status in the church at every turn, tearing down and disturbing the work of God’s house. This is inevitable. Perhaps, at first, the people in the church may seem to be fervent on the outside, and may seem to be able to love one another, but this is only temporary. When God’s work in the church reaches a certain stage, that is, when the stature of those who pursue the truth grows to a certain level, the battle between good and evil will begin. That is, those who pursue the truth and the hypocritical Pharisees will engage in a decisive battle. After hearing this, some people may doubt, “Will that time really come?” It will come in some churches, while it may not necessarily come in others. But in any church, if there are Pauls who fight for status, they will definitely oppose Peters who pursue the truth. As long as there are false leaders and antichrists in the church who do not pursue the truth, and as long as there are hypocritical Pharisees, those who pursue the truth will definitely be rejected and suppressed. One day, the two sides will engage in battle. This is an inevitable pattern. Most of the false leaders and antichrists in the Chinese churches have now been dismissed and eliminated by God’s house. Some of them didn’t accept it and hate me in their hearts, but am I constrained by them, however much they hate me? I am not. Whenever I discover a false leader or an antichrist, I deal with them without hesitation. However, I act with principle. Before dealing with people, I give them a chance to repent. I will prune and expose them, hoping that they can accept the truth and repent and change somewhat. But the facts are not as people imagine. Not everyone can accept the truth. Some people are averse to the truth in their hearts. They only like fame, gain, and status. They rack their brains and exhaust their wits in the pursuit of fame, gain, and status. If I dismiss and eliminate such people and they lose their status, how could they not hate me? They will definitely harbor hatred in their hearts. Most people speak pleasant-sounding words when gathering face-to-face, but others cannot fathom the intentions and purposes behind their actions. Therefore, to discern a person, you cannot just listen to how pleasantly they speak; you must look at whether their actions accord with the truth principles. What people say generally accords with the truth principles, so if you do not have discernment, you can easily be misled. It’s just like the hypocritical Pharisees. They were particularly good at speaking pleasant-sounding words. They knew how to speak to be popular and how to speak so that people could not find fault with them. False leaders and antichrists are the same. They are all particularly good at speaking pleasant-sounding words, but behind the scenes, they engage in their own enterprises, doing things that are contrary to the truth principles and speaking only for their own fame, gain, and status. Tell me, what kind of people are these? They are false leaders and antichrists. When people first start speaking for their own fame, gain, and status, this is just a revelation of corruption. As long as you can know yourself, repent, and change, God will not condemn you, and He will still give you a chance to repent. But if you remain unchanged for the next ten or twenty years—still speaking for your own fame, gain, and status, and still vying with God for status, then your nature essence is that of this type of person, and you are in trouble. You have been condemned by God. When the Lord Jesus condemned the Pharisees, He said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!(Matthew 23:13). What does “woe to you” mean? It means that God has cursed them, and their outcome of punishment has been set. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, when a church gets to a later stage of development, two types of people are revealed. One type is those who pursue the truth. The more they experience God’s work, the more they know themselves, and the more their corrupt dispositions are cleansed and transformed; gradually, they attain salvation and are made perfect. The other type is hypocritical people like Paul. Such people do not accept either the truth or judgment and chastisement. Despite believing in God for many years, their life disposition has not changed at all. Instead, they use more slick means to mislead people, making people worship and follow them, achieving their goal of controlling God’s chosen people and establishing an independent kingdom. There are always some people in the church who are willingly misled by them and speak in their defense. It is not easy to clear them out. This is the time when the great battle between good and evil begins. Therefore, believing in and following God involves much spiritual warfare. Is this statement practical? (Yes.) When you understand some truths, you will see many things clearly. You will see the matter of pursuing the truth clearly, and you will see the different paths walked by different people clearly. At that time, you will loathe all who are of Satan, and especially loathe those who have believed in God for many years but do not accept the truth at all, and who are hypocritical and engage in deception. You will be thoroughly averse to these devils and Satans. When you have experienced things to this point, you will begin to be made perfect, and you will have gained the truth. At that time, you will see that there are too few people who pursue the truth, and even fewer who have gained the truth. Most people have only a shallow understanding of the truth. After understanding a few words and doctrines, they start to boast, show off, testify to themselves without testifying to God at all, and frequently fight for fame, gain, and status. These people are in great danger. They are all of Paul’s type. Paul exalted and testified to himself everywhere to make people worship and submit to him. He wanted to replace the Lord Jesus Christ in people’s hearts, and he even said, “For to me to live is christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). Did this not expose his true face? (It did.) When he said that for him “to live is christ,” this revealed him as an antichrist. His life of believing in God was over. So why did Paul reach this point? (Because he never knew himself.) And how can we achieve knowing ourselves? Through pursuing the truth. If someone does not know themselves at all, it proves that they do not pursue the truth at all. Someone who does not pursue the truth at all will never know themselves even if they believe in God for a lifetime. They are of Paul’s type. Therefore, can we say that people who have believed in God for ten or twenty years and still do not know themselves are already walking the path of an antichrist? (Yes.) Can we say that they are antichrists now? (Yes.) At the very least, it can be determined that they are not walking the path of pursuing the truth, but the path of an antichrist. If a person walking the path of an antichrist can accept the truth and reflect on and know themselves, they can still be saved. But if their nature essence is averse to the truth, and if after believing in God for many years, they still do not accept the truth at all no matter how many times they experience pruning, being revealed and failure, never reflect on and know themselves, and even sophistically argue to defend themselves, then they are revealed to be an antichrist. Can we say this? (Yes, because after believing in God for so many years they have already taken shape.) If they have believed in God for so many years and still do not accept the truth or know themselves, then they are an antichrist who has been revealed. This is beyond doubt. Let’s take an example. It takes twenty-one days for a hen to hatch a chick. If no chick hatches from the egg after twenty-one days, what does that show? It shows that there is no life in the egg. An egg without life is a bad egg. So how long does it take to discern which eggs contain life and which do not? After twenty-one days, a final conclusion can be reached. So how long does it take to reach a final conclusion on whether a person pursues the truth? Generally, it can be seen clearly after a decade or more. If you understand a little truth, you can see clearly whether someone pursues the truth based on their manifestations when they have believed in God a decade or more. If you truly understand the truth, you can see someone clearly based on their manifestations when they have believed in God for three to five years. Is that not so? (It is.) It’s the same as how some parents can tell what kind of person their child will grow up to be and whether they will have prospects when the child is three, five, seven, or eight years old. But some children are not easy to see clearly, and you have to wait until they are in their twenties or thirties to see them clearly. By that time, their outlook on life, their values, and their perspectives on things have matured, and what they like, what they pursue, and what path they walk have also taken shape. The path they choose is determined by their nature essence, and no one can change it. In addition, people who have true discernment can clearly see whether someone pursues the truth just by their appearance. There is a saying, “Askew eyes betray a crooked heart.” If you see someone whose eyes, mouth, or nose are obviously askew, then there is something wrong with them. A person with normal humanity would absolutely not have such a face. Remember, anyone who looks too vicious or ugly definitely has something wrong with them. There are mysteries in people’s appearance. If you encounter someone you do not know, first look at their appearance, and you will have an initial understanding of them. Another very crucial point is that those who do not pursue the truth can never speak about knowing themselves. Therefore, if someone only ever speaks external words, enthusiastic words, or hypocritical words, this point alone can prove that they are not someone who pursues the truth.

The truths regarding discerning false leaders and antichrists are quite crucial. If you do not know how to discern them, you will be at risk of electing a false leader or an antichrist as a leader when voting time comes. What sort of mistake is this? Is this an evil deed? (Yes.) Voting is no small matter. It represents your preferences, your pursuits, and your desires. You will vote for the kind of person you like, and you will vote for the kind of person who walks the same path as you. How you vote is very telling. Therefore, when it comes to elections, you must grasp the principles, and also pray to God and seek God’s intentions. Do not vote for people you cannot see through. If someone is a good person and pursues the truth, but their understanding of the truth is relatively shallow, this is not a big problem. As long as they are a good person, you can vote for them. But if this person is particularly good with words and particularly slick, and you cannot fathom them at all, then they are dangerous. Next, look at their appearance. If their eyes are askew, their mouth is crooked, and their nose is not straight, you will think, “Why are this person’s facial features all distorted? They don’t seem to have much normal humanity.” This is a signal God gives to people. You must not vote for them. Sometimes God gives people a signal using certain things. For example, some astronomical phenomena will appear in the sky or some disasters will occur on earth before a major event occurs. These are all arranged by God and are God’s warnings. A person’s appearance is preordained by God, and it also announces what kind of person they are. If when you see a person’s appearance you think in your heart, “I feel a bit afraid and creeped out looking at this person. They don’t look like a good person,” where does this feeling come from? Does it not come from what is conveyed through their appearance and the look in their eyes? Then tell me, is a person’s appearance connected to their disposition and essence? (Yes.) This is one aspect of the mystery of God’s creation of man. What kind of person you are is revealed through your appearance. Your destiny in life and your outcome are also revealed in your appearance. People who truly know how to read faces can see these things. This is an experience gathered by mankind over thousands of years, and it is never wrong at all. Some people in their twenties or thirties lack insight and haven’t seen much of the world, so they cannot see this clearly. This is quite normal. When your experience reaches a certain level and you have seen more of the world, you will see this clearly. A person’s disposition, nature, and destiny are all displayed on their face. But some people become negative when they hear these words, and think, “I don’t have good looks. People look down on me when they see my appearance. Then what is the use of me pursuing the truth? I won’t gain the truth anyway.” Do not be so negative. As long as your own heart likes to pursue the truth, then pursue it earnestly. Pursuing the truth requires resolve. Do not be constrained by your appearance. Understood? (Yes.) Let me tell you, being too good-looking can actually be a problem. They encounter more temptations than ordinary people. To protect His chosen people from falling into temptation and encountering viciousness, God has arranged for most of His chosen people to have average looks. I look average, and there is God’s intention in this. So tell me, are there mysteries in people’s appearances? (Yes.) There are mysteries. So will you complain about your parents, saying, “Why did you give me these looks? They’re too ordinary”? (No.) Complaining about your parents is useless, because in the spiritual realm, you originally had no relationship with your parents at all. All of this is preordained by God. Whether you are tall or short, beautiful or ugly, there is God’s good intention in it, and it is all meaningful. Therefore, no matter what you look like, just pursue the truth earnestly and pursue bearing witness for God. As long as you understand some truths, you will not have lived this life in vain. At that time, you will say, “I have understood some truths and have some understanding of God. I can worship the Creator. I have no regrets in this life!” This is living out a meaningful life.
