The Above’s Answers to the Questions of God’s Chosen People From Around the World (10)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – January 15, 2026 (Part Six)
Question 5: Most people cannot discern the nature essence of those who are outwardly eloquent but whose humanity is not very good. They only see that these people have not yet done anything obvious to disrupt and disturb things, and that they appear quite active, so they want to elect them as leaders. May I ask how we should fellowship with brothers and sisters to help them learn to discern people’s nature essence, so as to avoid electing the wrong people?
Answer: What is determined by whether a person’s humanity is good or bad? Is there a connection between a person’s humanity and whether they pursue the truth? (Yes.) What kind of people can love the truth and pursue the truth? (Those with good humanity.) Why is it that people with good humanity can love the truth? (Because they like fairness and righteousness, and are drawn to positive things.) Then, on whom is the truth bestowed? The truth is bestowed on those with normal humanity, and the truth is also the life reality that only those with normal humanity can possess. If a person has normal humanity, they will love the truth, because their conscience and reason are directly related to the truth. If a person has a normal conscience and reason, they like the truth in their heart, they long to reach the standard of the truth, and they like their conscience and reason being normal. So what result can be achieved if a person’s conscience is normal? Even if a person with a normal conscience does not understand the truth, they have a standard in their conscience. At the very least, they do not harm others, do not do bad things, and do not take advantage of others. This is the baseline. This standard of conscience is precisely the baseline for practicing the truth; the requirements of conscience and the standards that conscience should possess are precisely the truth reality. Therefore, the truths expressed by God are bestowed on those who truly possess conscience and reason. This is also the greatest need of those with conscience and reason. The standard that conscience and reason must ultimately attain is the truth reality. Therefore, those who understand and obtain the truth are the people with the most conscience and reason. The more people understand the truth, the more conscience and reason they have; the more they understand the truth, the more sound their conscience and reason become. Is that not so? (It is.) No matter what comes upon them, a person with conscience and reason weighs up and considers issues based on the standard of conscience, asking, “How is it appropriate for me to act in this matter? How can I act in such a way as to be in accordance with the standard of conscience?” Perhaps, after weighing it up, they may not find the most accurate standard, but at the very least, they have a baseline: “I will not do bad things, I will not harm others, I will not deceive others, and I will not take advantage of others.” This is the standard of conscience. When they act this way, they have peace and joy in their hearts. If this standard of conscience is elevated a step further, it can bring even more joy and enjoyment to their hearts—then, it has risen to the standard of the truth. Therefore, the standard of the truth is the best standard. Once people understand the truth, they will say that the standard of the truth is so good, that practicing according to the truth is absolutely in accord with the requirements of conscience, and that they have reached the highest realm of conscience. When people with conscience and reason understand the truth, their hearts feel the most enjoyment and the most liberation. Although those without conscience and reason can also understand the words of the truth when they read them, they do not feel enjoyment or liberation in their hearts, because they do not have normal conscience and reason. They harbor only extravagant desires and unreasonable demands in their hearts. The requirements of the truth conflict with their extravagant desires, and if they do not accept or practice the truth, can their hearts gain enjoyment and liberation? Then who does the truth liberate and set free? The truth liberates and sets free those who have conscience and reason. Is that not so? (It is.) Therefore, people with conscience and reason yearn for the truth the most. We must see this matter clearly. Once you see it clearly, look at how people speak and act when you interact with them. Look at whether they always want to take advantage of others, whether they always want to gain the upper hand and steal the limelight, whether they always want to stand above others, and whether they always want to control others. If their conscience does not reproach them no matter what they do, then they have no standard of conscience at all. Such people are utterly lacking in reason and are too arrogant! So, will they accept the truth? (No.) Why won’t they accept the truth? (Because they have no conscience and reason.) That’s not it. They think in their hearts, “If I accept the truth and act according to the truth, it will go against my wishes, my desires and demands won’t be satisfied, and I won’t be able to achieve my goals. Therefore, I cannot accept the truth.” The truth does not accord with their thoughts and demands. What they yearn for is not the truth, but the satisfaction of their own interests, so they do not love the truth. Tell me, what do those who pursue their own interests and put profit first say when they hear the truth? “Can the truth bring me profit? Can the truth make me rich? Can the truth bestow status upon me? If I cannot gain these things, then I will not accept the truth.” You see, the precondition for them accepting the truth is that it must satisfy their desires and be beneficial to them. If something is not beneficial to them, they will not accept it even if it is the truth. If something is beneficial to them, they will accept it even if it is a satanic philosophy or satanic poison. They are people who love fame, gain, and status. It is impossible for them to accept the truth, because what their conscience yearns for and pursues is not the truth, but status, fame, and gain. Therefore, do you think it is possible to make such people abandon fame, gain, and status just by fellowshipping the truth once or twice? (No, it’s impossible.)
Let’s take an example. If God required people to wear cotton-padded clothes in summer, could they accept it? Some people might say, “Wearing cotton-padded clothes in summer is wrong. We should wear light clothing in summer, and only wear cotton-padded clothes in winter. God’s requirement does not accord with my notions, so I won’t follow it!” Can such a person accept the truth? (No.) What is their standard for weighing up the truth? Their standard is whether it accords with their notions and imaginings or not. If the truth accords with their notions and imaginings, they accept it; if it doesn’t, they don’t. They believe that only their own notions and imaginings are the truth, so they would rather die than give up their notions. But what would a wise person think? “God asking me to wear cotton-padded clothes in summer is very much at odds with human notions, and I don’t understand God’s intention. But I am just a human, just a tiny created being in God’s hands. It is perfectly normal that I cannot see the Creator’s actions clearly. But no matter how much the Creator’s actions are at odds with human notions, as a created being, I must submit to God.” Thinking this way, they submit. In fact, they don’t know whether wearing cotton-padded clothes in summer accords with the truth or not; they just feel, “Since God said so, I will submit.” Is this person’s heart right? (Yes.) If their heart is right, they can submit to God. Even when things that do not accord with their notions come upon them, they can submit. What are they thinking in their heart? “If I accept and submit to God’s words when they accord with my notions, that doesn’t show I am truly submissive. If I can still submit when God’s words do not accord with my notions, that is true submission. This time, I am not looking at the outward appearance of things, but am able to stand in the position of a created being and truly submit to the Creator. I see that my life has grown. It doesn’t matter if everyone calls me stupid or says whatever else about me; being able to submit to God’s words and work makes me feel happy, satisfied, and at peace in my heart.” Do you practice in this way? It means that when it comes to the words He speaks that are most at odds with human notions, you only ever choose to submit to God, persist in submission even if everyone judges you, and find satisfaction and enjoyment in your heart only in submitting to God. If you can truly choose to submit to God in this kind of situation, have growth in your life, and bear a testimony for God, what will you feel then? You will feel especially satisfied and proud in your heart, because you will have gained God’s approval. The lesson of submitting to God is not a simple one. Being able to submit to what accords with your notions does not prove you are truly submissive; being able to submit to what does not accord with your notions, or is even unfavorable to you—that is true submission. If God has determined your outcome and will send you to hell tomorrow, but He spoke again today, how would you treat God’s words? People might think, “Even if I accept the truth today, won’t I still go to hell tomorrow? So what is the point of me accepting the truth?” But if it is a person who truly submits to God, the conscience within them will take effect, and they will say, “I accept the truth not to avoid going to hell, but because this is the truth and life, and I must accept it. I cannot refuse to accept the truth today just because I am going to hell tomorrow. Every day that I live, I must accept the truth, pursue the truth, and practice the truth to the best of my ability. If I practice the truth today, even if I am sent to hell tomorrow, my heart will be calm and happy, and I will still praise God.” They can still practice the truth and do the duty of a created being while knowing they are going to hell. Is this not true submission? (Yes.) This is true submission. So if one day God says, “You are a laborer, and you are not even a devoted one,” this is the time that is most revealing of people. What would you think in your heart when you hear this? “God says I am not even a devoted laborer—the die is cast. Now I will definitely perish and go to hell. Then should I still pursue the truth? Should I still do my duty?” When you know you are not a devoted laborer and your outcome is definitely destruction, if you can still persist in doing your duty and offering up your final devotion, then you are a person who truly submits to God, and you are someone who God approves of. Others will admire you and say you are a person of absolute devotion. Then, your devotion will be the best testimony to and proof of your submission to God, and Satan and devils will also be shamed. What do you think of experiencing God’s work this way? (It’s good.) If you always act according to the notions and imaginings of the flesh and cannot truly submit to God, your faith will ultimately be in vain, and God will not approve of you. Therefore, we must pursue the truth no matter the circumstances. If you truly have the resolve to pursue the truth, and say, “No matter if my outcome is life or death, and even if I am to die or go to hell tomorrow, I must do my duty well today and bear a testimony for God,” if you truly have this heart, you are a devoted laborer. Some people are afraid of being defined as laborers, saying, “I’m a laborer? Then hasn’t my belief in this life been in vain?” They give up on themselves and complain bitterly, and thus are revealed. Such people believe in God only to gain blessings and do not accept the truth at all; they are devils and Satans. So what was the Lord Jesus thinking in His heart when He carried the cross? Did He know what would happen when He carried the cross up the mountain? He knew He would be crucified. Then tell me, was this road easy for the Lord Jesus to walk? (No.) This road was the hardest road to walk, but the Lord Jesus walked it. Knowing clearly that He was walking toward His own crucifixion, knowing clearly that He would die, He still resolutely carried the cross and walked forward, finally completing the work of redemption through crucifixion to redeem mankind. This is submission unto death. In the Age of Grace, Peter and Andrew also ultimately died by crucifixion. This was not something that happened suddenly. At the time, they knew this would be their outcome, but they still chose to be crucified upside down or on an X-shaped cross. Is this not submission unto death? (Yes.) Now, say a disaster befalls you and you do not know beforehand that you will die—showing loyalty and submission to God at this time is not necessarily bearing testimony. But if you know clearly that you are going to die and can still choose to submit to God and bear testimony for God, this testimony is one that can most shame Satan and can truly convince everyone. So, if God does not give you blessings, can you still expend yourself for God? (Yes.) If God tells you, “Someone like you wants to enter the kingdom of heaven? You are not qualified,” can you still continue to do your duty? (Yes.) Some people immediately become disheartened and negative, thinking, “God’s work of judgment has reached this point, and God says I am not qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven. This means He detests me in His heart and doesn’t want me anymore. Then I might as well just die and not hurt His feelings by living in this world.” Is it right to think this way? (No, this is misunderstanding God.) They do not understand God’s intention and have misunderstood God. What does God mean when He says this? He is trying you and refining you, to see if you are loyal and submissive. Say you pray to God like this, “Oh God, I am not a good person. I have rebelled against You too much and hurt Your feelings for so many years. This time I want to have some more resolve. I want to bear testimony for You. Even if I die after bearing testimony, I will be completely satisfied.” Is this good? (Yes.) This testimony is genuine and free from any adulteration. They are not doing it for blessings, but to satisfy God. Even if they will die and go to hell after they bear testimony, they still choose to submit to God. Tell me, is this testimony adulterated at all? (No.) In fact, no matter how devotedly you do your duty now, the trial of death will eventually come upon you. That day will certainly come. So, will you be able to accept the trial of death and stand firm in your testimony at that time if you do not equip yourself with the truth? (No.) Will you be able to if you do not have true knowledge of God? (No.) If a person does not pursue the truth, can they stand firm in their testimony for God? (No.) It is no simple matter for God to perfect people. Look at Peter, who experienced hundreds of trials in his last seven years. We do not know exactly how many trials, but if we say there were two hundred, he averaged more than twenty major trials per year in those seven years. How many days does it generally take for a trial to end? An ordinary trial takes at least two weeks to a month. That means he had to experience one or two trials a month. Just as he caught his breath after experiencing one trial, another would immediately come upon him. One trial followed another, and in the end, he experienced more than two hundred trials in seven years. In between, he might have encountered some unsatisfactory things, and some belittlement and condemnation from others, just as Job’s three friends condemned Job. Tell me, is it a good thing for so many trials to come upon a person? (Yes.) Can people understand this correctly? They cannot. Most people would judge you. It’s just like when trials came to Job—his wife did not understand him and even judged him, saying, “Renounce god, and die!” His wife had lived with him his whole life but did not understand him, and was even capable of saying such words. Tell me, was she his confidant? (No.) They were not on the same path. Therefore, Job’s wife did not understand why trials would come upon Job. I tell you, if you seek to love God, many trials will come upon you. The more trials come upon you, the more it proves that God loves you. God uses these trials to perfect you. If God determines to perfect you, you will definitely suffer a lot. Are you willing to accept this? (Yes.) Then you must be prepared. All kinds of trials will come upon you in the future. These are the environments I have experienced over the years. I have had to experience all kinds of trials and endure all kinds of suffering. In particular, the great red dragon was always hunting me down and trying to arrest me when I was working in mainland China. There was danger everywhere I went, and there was no place to hide. Later, God said, “We must leave the country.” I said, “Leave the country? The great red dragon’s blockade is so tight, can we get out? Besides, I have long been wanted by the CCP. Won’t I be detained as soon as I get to customs?” God said, “No matter what the situation is, we must leave the country now. No matter how difficult it is, we must go. Not leaving the country isn’t an option.” With just these few words, I had made my resolution: “God says to leave the country, so let’s leave the country. If I am really detained at customs, then my time to die has come. If I am not arrested, then I will have new work to do.” That was my mindset at the time. On the way out of the country, I was terrified, afraid that the police would discover me and arrest me. I prayed to God unceasingly in my heart until the plane took off and left China’s borders. Only then did I slowly start to feel at ease. From this matter, I experienced that what God says will surely be accomplished. God said to go abroad, and it happened. From a human perspective, it was possible for anyone but me to leave the country, yet didn’t God’s words come true? God means what He says, and what He means shall come to pass. If God says something will work, it is guaranteed to work, and human doubts mean nothing. After leaving the country, I began to ponder how to spread the gospel work overseas. At that time, I did a lot of preparatory work. Under God’s leadership and guidance, we launched the overseas gospel work little by little, and now the gospel has been spread to various countries around the world. Think about it, if I hadn’t left the country at that time, the gospel would not have spread as it has done today, because overseas work could not be done from mainland China. For so many years, the CCP government has threatened to extradite me many times, and sent many secret agents to try to assassinate me, but none of them succeeded. This is because God does not permit it. No matter how rampant the great red dragon is, it cannot do anything to me without God’s permission. God is almighty and holds sovereignty over everything. People’s lives and everything about them are in God’s hands—this is absolutely how it is. Do you understand? (Yes.) In any case, to be a leader, you must be able to suffer and pay a price, and even more so, you must have a heart that accepts the truth and submits to God. This is what it means to be someone with truly good humanity. When electing leaders and workers, vote for people like this.
