Fellowship From the Brother Above – April 15, 2025 (Part Three)

Question 5: When we testify to potential gospel recipients that God has returned, some of them read God’s words and feel that they have authority, but they will still say, “We cannot be completely certain that God has returned, because a devil can disguise itself as an angel of light. Therefore, we must guard against Satan creating counterfeits and misleading us, and we must investigate carefully and wait for confirmation from the Holy Spirit before we can be certain.” How should we fellowship on this issue?

Answer: Such people read God’s words and feel that they have authority, but they cannot be completely certain that God has returned. What is the problem with what they are saying? What mistake have they made? They are foolish and ignorant, and they do not know God at all. They feel that God’s words have authority, but they still cannot be certain that God has returned. What is their basis for this? Their basis is “because a devil can disguise itself as an angel of light.” Does a devil disguising itself as an angel of light have anything at all to do with God’s words having authority and being the truth? (No.) Can a devil express the truth? (It cannot.) Since devils cannot express the truth, what is the meaning in saying that a devil can disguise itself as an angel of light? It just means that devils will impersonate an angel of light. But no matter how well they impersonate an angel of light, can they express the truth? They simply cannot express the truth; they are merely impersonating an angel of light, that is all. For example, if an evil spirit comes and says it is the Lord, asking you to prostrate yourself and worship it, then you should ask it, “You say you are the Lord, but can you express the truth?” This question gets right to the heart of the matter—it cannot express the truth. Since it cannot express the truth, why is it impersonating the Lord? Why does it say that it is the Lord, that it is christ? It is a counterfeit; this is a very simple matter. Therefore, when a devil impersonates God and falsely uses God’s name, it is merely disguising itself and deceiving people. Devils and Satan can never express the truth; this is the reality. Some evil spirits pretend to speak some of the words that the Lord Jesus spoke, and they even recite some of the words that He spoke. But can evil spirits express the truth? They cannot. Evil spirits can only imitate the words the Lord Jesus spoke in the past, but the Lord Jesus’ ability to express the truth is something no devil or Satan could ever imitate. Devils and Satan can imitate the things God did and the words God spoke in the past—but can they do the new work God has returned to do and express the new words God has returned to speak? They can never do this or express such things. Then does the phrase “a devil can disguise itself as an angel of light” mean that devils can express the truth? (No.) Therefore, the basis given by such potential gospel recipients is wrong.

They also say, “We must guard against Satan creating counterfeits and misleading us, and we must investigate carefully and wait for confirmation from the Holy Spirit before we can be certain.” Then how are you to investigate carefully? Are you able to go up to the third heaven to ask God the Father? Could you say, “Father, a christ has now appeared on earth. Is this christ real?” This is unrealistic; you are of mortal flesh, and you cannot go to the third heaven. So if you pray and ask the Holy Spirit whether this way is true, will the Holy Spirit tell you? (No.) The Holy Spirit will never give you the answer. Why won’t the Holy Spirit give you the answer? It is because this stage of work, in which God comes in secret, is the most crucial stage in God’s six-thousand-year management plan, and it is also the most hidden stage. This stage of work determines a matter of great importance—it determines the number of people who will enter the kingdom of heaven. That is, it determines how many people will be in this group of overcomers made by God, this group of people who are of one heart and one mind with God. There cannot be any mistakes with this number. That’s why God does not do anything supernatural at all. This work must be carried out in secret, and the Holy Spirit will not enlighten anyone. If the Holy Spirit were to enlighten anyone, that would ruin God’s plan, and the Holy Spirit will not ruin His own plan. If the Holy Spirit enlightens a person, telling them that this way comes from God, and they believe and accept it without loving the truth, can they be perfected? (No.) If they do not pursue the truth, and their caliber is so poor that they cannot grasp the truth, what would the consequences be if they entered the church? God’s work would be disrupted. God is a wise God, and God would not do things that way. The Holy Spirit will not give a revelation to anyone, saying, “Almighty God is Jehovah God, He is the Lord Jesus returned.” The Holy Spirit will not give this revelation to any person. God’s work is the most rigorous and the most wise; He will never make the slightest error. You must see this matter clearly. Therefore, no matter how you pray, the Holy Spirit will not give you a revelation, and you cannot go to heaven to ask God the Father either. So what should you do if you cannot get confirmation? If you keep waiting—waiting for the Holy Spirit to give you a revelation before you accept—then you will wait in vain. If you wait until the great catastrophes have ended and the Lord publicly descends on a cloud, then even though you will see the Lord at that time, you will directly be condemned by Him. This is because during the period when God incarnate was working in secret, you refused to accept God’s salvation and resisted God. What awaits you then can only be punishment. If you do not want to suffer God’s punishment, you must accept the work of God incarnate in the last days. This stage of work in the last days is the most hidden stage of work, so how can you welcome the Lord? How can you recognize the Lord and be certain that it is the Lord who has returned? Think back to when the Lord Jesus was working in the Age of Grace. The people of that time did not know the Lord Jesus, and they even asked the Lord Jesus to tell them whether He was Christ. How did the Lord Jesus reply? The Lord just said this one thing: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). What do you think of the Lord Jesus’ reply? Was this not the wisest response? (It was.) You must investigate God’s work based on this statement of the Lord. If you are one of God’s sheep, you will be able to recognize God’s voice and keep up with His footsteps. If you are not one of God’s sheep, you will never recognize God’s voice—even if you feel it is God’s voice, you will not dare to accept it, and you will miss the opportunity to welcome the Lord. Therefore, the only way to welcome the Lord is to hear God’s voice; there is no other path. So what kind of people can ultimately gain the truth and attain salvation? Those who, by faith, see that the words of Almighty God are the truth, and who then accept them, submit to them, and put them into practice. The work that Almighty God does in the last days is mainly that of expressing the truth, and the truths He expresses are getting higher and higher, deeper and deeper. When God has expressed all the truths that are to be worked into mankind, God’s work will be at an end. In fact, when He reaches a climax in His expression of the truth, this is equivalent to Him appearing publicly. God has now expressed so many truths, yet some people still cannot see that this is God’s voice and that it is the truth. Tell me, how foolish must such people be? They are not God’s sheep, and they do not have spiritual understanding. This is the only way it can be explained. God’s sheep hear God’s voice. If they cannot recognize God’s voice even after God has expressed so many truths, then they are not God’s sheep, and they have been revealed and eliminated. Now, when we preach the gospel to the Israelis, some of the questions they raise are very absurd. Logically speaking, the Israelis have knowledge, and, more than that, they are equipped with knowledge of the Old Testament. They ought to be able to see that the words of Almighty God are the truth, but in fact, they just cannot see it. Why is this? (They do not have spiritual understanding.) This problem is truly serious. It is really not easy for someone who does not have spiritual understanding to hear God’s voice. If they are not predestined and chosen by God, and they are not one of God’s sheep, how can they hear God’s voice? They cannot hear God’s voice.

Some people read God’s words and feel that they have authority, but they still cannot be completely certain that God has returned. They want to investigate carefully and wait for confirmation from the Holy Spirit before they can be certain. What is the best way to fellowship on this issue? You can fellowship with them like this: “You read Almighty God’s words and feel that His words have authority. What does the fact they have authority prove? It proves that these are God’s words and this is God’s voice. Only God’s words have authority and power. You see that these words have authority and are the truth. Could a human express such authoritative words? Could a human express the truth? Humans cannot express the truth; a human could never express it. Then how can you still not be certain that Almighty God is the Lord returned? Look at the six thousand years of human history: Which intellectual, which scientist, or which leader has been able to express the truth? Has there ever been such a person? Not a single one. What does this prove? The truth can only be expressed by God. No matter how much knowledge a corrupt human has, or how high their status and position, no human can express the truth. Is this not a fact? Now, you see that Almighty God’s words have authority and are the truth. Is this something a human can express?” If they say a human cannot express the truth, then continue to ask them this: “Can Satan and evil spirits express the truth? Can the devil kings express the truth? None of them can express the truth. Then who is this person expressing the truth? He is the incarnate God; He is the incarnate Christ! Can you still not see this matter clearly? If you cannot see this matter clearly, then you believe in God but do not know God. When God comes, will you welcome the Lord? You won’t be able to! Then will your belief in God not be in vain?” Fellowshipping like this will do. In addition, you can also guide them like this: “If you insist on waiting until you are certain that God has returned before accepting His work, how long will you have to wait? If you wait three to five years, the great catastrophes will be over. Can you still be perfected by God then? Can you still be led into the truth by the God of truth? You cannot. Then the prophecy spoken by the Lord Jesus, ‘When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth,’ will have come to nothing for you. Do you know what the consequence of this prophecy coming to nothing for you is? You will miss your opportunity to welcome the Lord. When the great catastrophes arrive, you will go to hell and be destroyed. All other things can wait, but welcoming the Lord is the one thing that cannot wait, because the days will pass very quickly. Look, the Bible prophesies: ‘Woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!’ (Mark 13:17). What does it mean—‘woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck’? Have those who are with child and those who give suck broken the law? Have they committed a sin? They have neither committed a sin nor broken the law, so why does it say they will suffer woe? Is it not because they have missed their opportunity to gain the truth and attain salvation? Tell me, did anyone who believes in Almighty God today come to believe only after praying for a long time and receiving confirmation from the Holy Spirit? Is there a single example of such a person? Many people did pray to God, but they did not receive any revelations from Him. God did not tell them that Almighty God is the Lord returned, yet they still followed Him and believed in Him. Some people have believed for ten years and prayed for ten years, and in all these ten years they have never received an answer from God. But they have just kept following and believing in this way. Gradually, they have come to understand some truths, cast off some of their corrupt dispositions, attain some cleansing, and live out a bit of a human likeness. At this point, they become completely certain about Almighty God, confirming that this is God’s work and that Almighty God is absolutely, without a doubt, the incarnate God. This is having true faith. Therefore, when it comes to welcoming the Lord, you must absolutely not wait to receive confirmation from the Holy Spirit before you believe. If you insist on waiting until you receive confirmation from the Holy Spirit before believing in Almighty God, it will all be too late. Just look at whether the words expressed by Almighty God have authority and whether they are the truth. Look at how you can change and what you can gain by accepting these truths. Just determine whether this is the true way based on the results of pursuing the truth. That’s the right way.” Is it good to fellowship like this? (It is.) They always want to get confirmation before they accept God’s new work. In that case, ask them, “Did those who believed in Jehovah God believe in Him only after getting confirmation? Jehovah God was in heaven, and they could not see Him, so they could not get confirmation. And did those who believed in Jesus Christ believe only after getting confirmation? Did the Holy Spirit give them confirmation? They did not receive any confirmation either. Therefore, people living in mortal flesh can only follow God based on faith; do not have extravagant hopes of receiving confirmation from the Holy Spirit. If you still insist on receiving some kind of confirmation, what confirmation should you look for? This confirmation: When you read Almighty God’s words, your heart confirms that these words are the truth, you determine that Almighty God is the God of truth, and you follow Almighty God and testify to Almighty God. Having this confirmation in your heart is enough. Never look for confirmation from the Holy Spirit. You will never get confirmation from the Holy Spirit no matter how many years you look for it.” Is this not the case? (It is.)

When God first appeared and worked, there was a brother in his seventies. Before he came to believe in God, he had contracted a disease that no one could cure. He only survived by praying to Almighty God. Several years later, his time came. Before he died, he told his family, “Almighty God is the true God. You must believe in Him earnestly.” He regretted not believing in Almighty God sooner and not gaining the truth. In fact, of those who believe in God within this stream, some of the very elderly will, before they die, tell their families to believe in God earnestly, do their duty earnestly, expend themselves for God earnestly, and not be muddled in their belief in God. They all say things like this before they die. Why is this? It is because when they were alive, they took some detours and experienced some things. Having come to appreciate that God’s words are the truth, they came to this conclusion. Therefore, if you pursue the truth and gain knowledge of God, that is confirmation; if you pursue the truth and your life disposition changes, that is confirmation; if you practice the truth and bear a wonderful experiential testimony, that is confirmation. Do you now know what confirmation is? (We do.) Gaining the truth is the best confirmation. This is crucial. If you want to look for confirmation from the Holy Spirit, you will never find it; or if you want to find confirmation by studying the Book of Revelation and studying the prophecies of the Old Testament, I tell you, you will not get confirmation in your entire lifetime. If you do not seek or study these things, but only focus on earnestly reading Almighty God’s words and pursuing the truth, then when you understand the truth and have true faith in God, you will become certain that these words expressed by Almighty God come from God, and that Almighty God’s work is God’s work. This is the best confirmation. Let me give you another example. When you are sick, you go to see a doctor, and the doctor prescribes medicine for you. Do you need to get confirmation that this medicine can cure your illness before you take it? (No.) If you ask the doctor, “Are you sure that this medicine can cure my illness?” what will the doctor say? “I’m not sure. I just prescribed this medicine for you based on your symptoms and conventional treatment plans. I cannot guarantee that this medicine will completely cure your illness.” The doctor will not give you a guarantee either. Then how do you get confirmation? There is only one path—practice. You take the medicine and see if your condition improves after a few days. If it works, it proves that it is the right medicine; if it has no effect, it is not the right medicine. Is this path correct? (It is.) If, from the very beginning, you didn’t believe that the medicine prescribed by the doctor could cure your illness, then why bother seeing a doctor? Since you believe in yourself, you could just treat your illness yourself. Therefore, how can you confirm whether Almighty God is the appearance of God? The best confirmation is to accept the truths expressed by Almighty God, practice these truths, and see what results Almighty God’s words achieve in you—whether they can enable you to understand the truth, and whether they can give you more faith in God. At that time, you will be able to determine whether Almighty God’s words are the truth. The best confirmation is you determining that Almighty God’s words are the truth and the way of eternal life. Can you comprehend it when I put it like this? (We can.) Today, we have experienced Almighty God’s judgment and cleansing, and our corrupt dispositions have been changed. Have these gains not been obtained through experiencing God’s work? (Yes.) Compare our actual experiences, the truths we understand, and the realities we have entered into with those of the believers in the Age of Grace, and you will see that our stature is much greater than theirs. They fall far short—they are two thousand years behind! Let’s compare ourselves again with the Jewish believers—how much greater is our stature than theirs? (Much greater.) They are three thousand years behind. We know and have entered into much higher things than them. Is this not confirmation? (It is.) This is true confirmation.
