Fellowship From the Brother Above – October 1, 2025 (Part Three)

What do you think of me fellowshipping these things with you before answering your questions? Is it necessary? (Yes.) These words are absolutely necessary in your belief in God and your pursuit of the truth! That is why I must always fellowship some things with you before I answer your questions. I will begin answering your questions now.

I. Questions Regarding the Preaching of the Gospel

Question 1: The Bible says: “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory(Matthew 24:30). Some potential gospel recipients use this verse as a basis to say that the coming of the Son of man prophesied by the Lord refers to the Lord Jesus descending on a cloud. How should we fellowship on the phrase “shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven” in this verse? How can we help potential gospel recipients better understand that the coming of the Son of man refers to God coming in the flesh, not His coming as a spiritual body as they believe?

Answer: So, the person asking this question is asking me to interpret the scriptures. I don’t like interpreting the scriptures, because I don’t study the Bible. But since someone has raised this question, I’ll share some of my personal comprehension. The Bible says: “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory(Matthew 24:30). So why will the sign of the Son of man appear in heaven? This is very significant. The Son of man is God incarnate; He is God, come among mankind to do the work of salvation. But corrupt mankind and the religious world refuse to acknowledge the Son of man no matter what. They even resist and condemn the Son of man, and nail Him to the cross. This arouses God’s wrath and offends God’s disposition. So, when God’s work of the last days is finished, what will God do? The Son of man will publicly descend on a cloud so that people can see that this Son of man has power and great glory; this is what God will do. The aim of this is to counter the notions of all corrupt mankind, so that mankind can see that this Son of man whom they once resisted is the appearance of the one true God. At that time, all the tribes of the earth will mourn. Why will they mourn? Because they did not acknowledge that this Son of man is God, and they did not acknowledge that this Son of man is God become incarnate to do the work of salvation. So when God publicly descends on a cloud, all those who resist God will mourn and gnash their teeth. Their final outcome will be destruction. This is the final reckoning given to them. So, you condemn the Son of man, don’t you? And you even think you are correct to condemn Him! In the end, the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and you will see for yourselves whether this Son of man whom you condemned is God or not. When you see that this Son of man has power and glory, you will know that it was God whom you condemned. You will have to pay the price for this; you will have to go to hell and perish. This is what this statement means. What do you think of my comprehension of this? (It’s good.) So, tell me, who was happiest after the Lord Jesus was resurrected from the dead? Those who loved the truth were happiest: “We’ve finally seen the Lord Jesus resurrected from the dead! The Lord Jesus is truly God! How else could He have been resurrected from the dead?” That’s why those people were the most joyful. And who was shamed the most? The Jews were shamed the most. Those who did not acknowledge that the Lord Jesus was Christ, that He was God incarnate, were shamed the most. Is that not so? (Yes.) Tell me, among the disciples who followed the Lord Jesus, who was shamed the most? Thomas was shamed the most. The Lord Jesus said to him: “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed(John 20:29). What was the significance of the Lord Jesus specifically appearing to Thomas? Thomas constantly doubted God. He followed the Lord for such a long time, yet he stubbornly refused to acknowledge that the Lord Jesus was God. He even said, “How could Jesus be resurrected after dying? It’s impossible, it’s not scientifically possible.” Such people were and are, in fact, disbelievers. The Lord Jesus appeared to a disbeliever like Thomas to shame all those who believe in God but do not know God, to condemn them, and to tell people that even if such disbelievers believe in God, follow God, and expend themselves and do their duty for God, they should not even dream of entering God’s kingdom. This is because they are not people who sincerely believe in God; they are people who doubt and resist God. So, when the Lord Jesus was resurrected from the dead and appeared to people, how did the chief priests and scribes behave? What did they do? They fabricated rumors to mislead people. The Lord had clearly been resurrected from the dead and had appeared to the multitudes, yet even after seeing such a great sign, they did not repent or confess their sins. Instead, they went a step further, fabricating rumors and slandering God. These people were the enemies of God, they were bona fide devils and Satans, and they were cursed and punished by God. So, do you now know how to answer this type of question? (We know now.)

Question 2: Some potential gospel recipients believe that when the Lord Jesus said, “I come as a thief(Revelation 16:15), this does not describe the manner of the Lord’s return, but means that no one knows the day of the Lord’s return on a cloud. They also cite Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes,” as their basis. How should we guide them to the correct comprehension of the phrase “coming as a thief”?

Answer: What did the Lord Jesus mean when He said He would return “as a thief”? It means that He will come like a thief, and you won’t be able to fathom it. So what should you do? You must watch and prepare. If you don’t prepare, you are likely to miss the Lord’s return. Therefore, when the Lord said that He would return “as a thief,” this statement conveyed two messages. The first is that the manner of the Lord’s coming will be hidden. People won’t see it, no one will know when the Lord will come, and He may arrive suddenly. The second is that you must prepare; every hour of every day, you must watch and prepare. This way, when the Lord comes, you will be able to welcome Him, and you won’t miss the opportunity to do so. These are the two messages conveyed by the phrase “as a thief.” But the religious world doesn’t accept this information; they believe that the description of the Lord coming “as a thief” does not refer to the manner of His coming in secret, but instead means that no one can fathom the day on which God will descend on a cloud. Is this interpretation pure? (No, it isn’t.) Why do you say it isn’t pure? Tell me, will people be able to see the Lord when He descends on a cloud? (Yes.) When the Lord descends on a cloud, He will have power and great glory, and He will shake the heavens and the earth. Everyone will be able to see Him. Even if you are asleep in the middle of the night, you will be startled awake. So if everyone can see the Lord descending on a cloud, is there any need to watch and prepare? (No.) If you don’t believe me, try telling someone, “The Lord Jesus will publicly descend on a cloud in the future, so you must watch and prepare.” They will surely say, “If the Lord will publicly descend on a cloud, is there any need to watch? When the Lord descends on a cloud, we will know about it and see it straight away, so there’s no need to watch and prepare.” Therefore, the reason people are asked to watch and prepare is definitely not because they will not know the day of the Lord’s public descent on a cloud. Watching for that is meaningless. So why exactly should people “watch”? They should watch because they don’t know how the Lord will come. For one thing, they don’t know the day or the hour of the Lord’s coming, and for another, they don’t know the manner of His coming. The Bible prophesies two ways in which the Lord will come: One is as a spiritual body descending on a cloud, and the other is as the Son of man descending in secret. These are fundamentally two different ways, but as soon as people hear that He will descend on a cloud, they reject the idea that He will come as the Son of man. This is because the idea of the Lord descending on a cloud is more in line with people’s notions, and it’s simpler to welcome God in that way. Therefore, people delimit God, thinking that He will return by descending on a cloud. Even when they see the Bible mention the “coming of the Son of man,” they believe it refers to God descending on a cloud. But if God really were to return by descending on a cloud, would people still need to watch for it? When the Lord descends on a cloud, it will be such a tremendous spectacle that everyone will see it and shout, “The Lord has returned!” There would simply be no need to watch. But when the Son of man comes, it is not so easy for people to recognize Him. Look, the Son of man has come to express the truth now, but how many people can recognize and follow Him? As soon as people hear that the Son of man has come, their first reaction is to shake their heads. Why do they shake their heads? Because they all believe that if God does not return by descending on a cloud, then He is not God. So as soon as people hear that the Son of man has come, they shake their heads and reject Him. This proves that the coming of the Son of man is something that is not easy for people to accept. So do people need to watch and prepare? (Yes.) Therefore, when the Lord Jesus said “as a thief,” He was reminding people that His return would be as the Son of man, and that to welcome the Lord, people must watch and prepare, or else they will miss the opportunity to welcome Him. The entire religious world now believes that the Lord will return by descending on a cloud. But to welcome the Lord descending on a cloud, people don’t need to watch or prepare; they just need to wait for Him to descend on a cloud. Wouldn’t welcoming the Lord be much simpler that way? But when it comes to the coming of the Son of man, people need to investigate, watch, and prepare. If you don’t equip yourself with some truths, you won’t be able to recognize that this Son of man is the appearance of God, that He is God incarnate, and you won’t be able to welcome the Lord. Just think about when the Lord Jesus first came: Very few people accepted Him. All of Judaism refused to accept this ordinary Jesus of Nazareth of humble origins. Based on this fact, the manner of the Lord’s return as the Son of man means that people must be especially watchful and prepared. If you don’t watch and prepare, you are very likely to be misled by negative propaganda and deny God. When you see that God incarnate has ordinary, normal humanity, you will immediately deny God. Isn’t it all too easy to resist God then? Tell me, when the Lord Jesus first came, how many people recognized Him as God? No one did. Even the disciples who followed the Lord Jesus only did so because His words had authority and power, and were truths they had never heard before. They believed the Lord Jesus was sent by God and that they gained something from following Him, and that is why they followed Him. And so, after they had followed Him for a while, the Lord Jesus asked them: “Whom say you that I am?(Matthew 16:15). They said the Lord Jesus was a master, a teacher, a doctor, one of the prophets, or someone sent by God. Not a single person said the Lord Jesus was the appearance of God, God incarnate. Only Peter said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). After Peter said this, what did the Lord Jesus say? “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but My Father which is in heaven(Matthew 16:17). From this, we can see that Peter was able to say this because of a revelation from the Holy Spirit; it was not something he could have recognized on his own. So you see, when the Lord returns in the manner of the Son of man, it is very difficult for people to recognize Him. People must watch and prepare, otherwise they will easily be taken captive by religious notions and negative propaganda, and be unable to accept God’s return. If the Lord were to publicly descend on a cloud, there would be no need to say “as a thief,” and people would not need to watch.

Question 3: When we fellowship on the results of God’s work, we don’t know how to get the crucial things across. Our testimony to God lacks power and can’t help potential gospel recipients see that only with God’s coming could these results be achieved. How can we get the crucial things across and speak powerfully on this topic?

Answer: Preaching the gospel is mainly about propagating God’s words. Propagating God’s words is the most crucial thing; God’s words are the most powerful. You don’t know how to get the crucial things across when you preach the gospel, but do you understand what the crucial things are? You must first understand what the crucial things are. For example, what are the things that most accurately prove that this Son of man is God incarnate? These are the most crucial things to say. You should fellowship more on these crucial things. So tell me, what are the most accurate and crucial things to say when testifying to God incarnate? How can we confirm that this Son of man is God incarnate? There is just one criterion: Whether He can express the truth and do God’s work. Only God Himself can express the truth and do God’s work, so if this Son of man can express the truth and do God’s own work, it proves that He is God incarnate. If all a person can do is perform some signs and wonders or deliver some prophecies, this does not mean they are God incarnate: Prophets, having received a revelation from God, can also deliver prophecies and speak words of warning, informing people of things that will happen in the future. Prophets can do these things, but prophets do not have God’s identity, so they cannot express the truth or do God’s work. Is this not crucial? (Yes.) How do false christs mislead people? False christs have the work of evil spirits and receive revelations from evil spirits. A false christ can have revelatory dreams, deliver some prophecies, and perform some signs and wonders. These few supernatural things are the only things it can do, yet many people are misled because of this. So tell me, when a false christ performs some signs and wonders, is this the work of the Holy Spirit? (It is not the work of the Holy Spirit; it is evil spirits counterfeiting the work of the Holy Spirit.) Remember this: Signs and wonders in the last days are absolutely not the work of the Holy Spirit; they are all the work of evil spirits. Are we certain of this? (We are.) But when the Lord Jesus performed signs and wonders in the Age of Grace, was that the work of evil spirits? (No.) In the Age of Grace, God’s work was the work of redeeming humanity through the crucifixion. The primary focus of this work was not expressing the truth, so the Lord Jesus performed some signs and wonders at that time. But in the Age of Kingdom, God’s work is the work of judging and cleansing mankind. God does not perform signs and wonders, but only expresses the truth, so in the Age of Kingdom, anyone who performs signs and wonders has an evil spirit working in them and absolutely cannot be the appearance of God in the flesh. Only the One who can express the truth is God incarnate. Can we be certain of this? (Yes.) Then isn’t this a very simple way to be certain that He is God incarnate? (Yes.) A false christ relies on the work of evil spirits to perform some signs and wonders and deliver some prophecies to mislead people. Tell me, can this last? It cannot. After a while, the things it speaks of do not come to pass and its prophecies prove to be inaccurate, so everyone realizes it is an evil spirit, sees through it, and rejects it. Furthermore, evil spirits can at most perform some minor signs and wonders; they are fundamentally incapable of performing great ones like those the Lord Jesus performed, such as raising the dead and feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. Evil spirits are absolutely incapable of doing such things. In addition, expressing the truth is a work greater than any sign or wonder. It is the greatest sign and wonder, and moreover, it is something that no Satan or evil spirit can do. The thing Satan is most afraid of is God expressing the truth, because it has no truth. It cannot imitate God expressing the truth; it cannot speak a single word of truth. No evil spirit, great man, superman, or genius can express the truth. Only God can express the truth. Therefore, to be certain whether someone is God incarnate, you must see if He can express the truth. Only God incarnate can express the truth. Is this not crucial? (It is.) Then you should get more of these crucial things across when you preach the gospel. If you explain these crucial things clearly and thoroughly, the potential gospel recipients will know in their hearts how things really are. They will know how to be certain that He is God incarnate, and they will have the opportunity to welcome the Lord and to enter the kingdom of heaven. So tell me, what work of God must a person undergo in order to enter the kingdom of heaven? To enter the kingdom of heaven, a person must at the very least accept God’s judgment and chastisement to have their corrupt dispositions cleansed and break free from Satan’s influence. Only then will they be a person who submits to God and is qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven. If you still have corrupt dispositions, it is impossible for you to truly submit to God; you will still be capable of resisting Him. That is why God says: “To have an unchanged disposition is to be in enmity to God(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God). If a person’s life disposition has not changed, then no matter how they expend themselves, labor, and work for the Lord, they are still someone who resists God. Everyone who lives by corrupt dispositions is a person who resists God and is not qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, in the last days, God does the work of judgment and chastisement to resolve man’s corrupt dispositions, so that their life disposition may be cleansed and transformed. Only by experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement of the last days can a person’s corrupt dispositions be cleansed and transformed. Those who do not experience God’s judgment and chastisement of the last days and become cleansed should not even think of entering the kingdom of heaven. Is this not crucial? (It is.) Then you should say more of these crucial things. You can ask them, “Can a person cast off their corrupt dispositions by laboring and working, suffering a bit more, and paying a bit more of a price in their faith in the Lord?” They cannot. There is only one way to cast off and resolve corrupt dispositions, and that is to experience God’s judgment and chastisement. And what is the prerequisite for experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement? Accepting the truths for judging and cleansing man that God has expressed in the last days. The truths God expressed in the Age of Grace were not enough to resolve people’s corrupt dispositions. Only the truths expressed by God in the Age of Kingdom can cleanse man’s corrupt dispositions and rouse people to hate and rebel against Satan, achieving true submission to God. The truths expressed by God in the Age of Kingdom are the highest, surpassing all the truths of the Age of Grace and the Age of Law. If God had not expressed these higher truths in the last days, people could never be cleansed. Is this not crucial? (It is.) In that case, you should say more and fellowship more about such crucial things, and then you will get good results in preaching the gospel.
