The Above’s Answers to the Questions of God’s Chosen People From Around the World (6)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – October 1, 2025 (Part Four)
Question 4: Before we testify that God has returned, we first talk about welcoming the Lord by listening for God’s voice. Some potential gospel recipients understand this on a doctrinal level when they hear it, but when we testify to the words expressed by Almighty God and tell them that the Lord Jesus has already returned, they still don’t think that God has returned even though they acknowledge that these are God’s words. I’d like to ask the brother to fellowship on how we can lay the groundwork before testifying that God has returned, so that people can better understand the relationship between hearing God’s voice and welcoming the Lord’s coming.
Answer: These potential gospel recipients acknowledge that the words expressed by Almighty God are God’s words, but they don’t think that God has returned. What’s going on here? Can you see this matter clearly? Acknowledging God’s words is a matter of the heart, a feeling in one’s spirit. After reading God’s words, a person has a feeling in their heart: “Oh, this is the truth! No person could express this truth. These are the words of God!” But why do they still not think that God has returned? It is simply because they go by what they can see. They see that the person expressing the truth is an ordinary person. In particular, they don’t see any great commotion in heaven and earth when this person is expressing these truths, nor do they see any signs and wonders, so they don’t think that God has returned yet. Isn’t this welcoming God based on what they see and what they imagine? (Yes.) In their notions, they believe that if God has truly returned, there should be a great commotion, and they should be able to see signs and wonders. Do they not have this notion within them? (Yes.) So why do they have this kind of notion? How exactly does this notion come about? (Most of the time it’s because religious pastors and elders instill this kind of notion and imagining in people when they preach.) Religious pastors and elders always preach that when God appears, He will descend on a cloud with many angels surrounding Him, and that the saints of all ages will also be resurrected. They believe that only when these things happen has God returned. This is how many religious people have developed this notion in their hearts about God’s return. But in fact, do these things happen when God incarnate appears and works? (No.) The scene of God working is a quiet one. Think back to when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked; that was also quiet. The heavens and earth did not shake, nor were any angels seen. None of these things happened. Therefore, you cannot delimit God’s work to a certain form, thinking that God’s appearance and work will always shake the heavens and earth. That is your imagination. The scene described in the Bible of God descending on a cloud has been etched into your heart, and so you believe that only when that scene occurs has God appeared. This is wrong. Tell me, did the disciples and apostles of the Age of Grace see tens of thousands of angels descending when they followed the Lord Jesus? No. They probably also harbored doubts in their hearts: “We follow this Lord Jesus, but is He really God? He looks like an ordinary person on the outside, so is He a human or is He God? It’s not right to say He’s a human, because He can express the truth; but it’s also not right to say He’s God, because He looks like an ordinary person.” Although they followed the Lord, they always had these doubts in their hearts about the Lord Jesus. So how long did their doubts persist for? One day, the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross, and they thought to themselves, “Oh, the Lord Jesus we followed really has been crucified. If He were truly God, He shouldn’t have been crucified, but now He has been crucified just like an ordinary person. It seems the Lord Jesus was just an ordinary person, and I’ve followed Him for so long in vain.” But then, to everyone’s utter astonishment, three days after His death, the Lord Jesus was resurrected. This was something no one had expected—not Peter, not Mary. But the Lord Jesus appeared to them first. After Peter and Mary saw the resurrected spiritual body of the Lord Jesus, this astonishing news spread, and many people said, “The Lord Jesus has been resurrected! Is this true? If it’s true, that’s wonderful! The Lord Jesus we believe in is truly God! We believed in the right One!” That’s when people came to believe that the Lord Jesus was God. But when they followed the Lord Jesus, was there any sense of the supernatural around Him to let them know He was God? There was no sense of the supernatural. Therefore, determining whether He is God based on any sense of the supernatural is inaccurate, because God’s work does not give people any sense of the supernatural. Tell me, was the Lord Jesus’ work supernatural? Apart from the few signs and wonders He performed, the Lord Jesus was not at all supernatural in His daily life. If He had been supernatural all the time, people wouldn’t have called Him Teacher, Master, Doctor, or Prophet; they would certainly have had to acknowledge that the Lord Jesus was God. Is that not so? (Yes.) So, you cannot believe in God based on whether you get a sense of the supernatural from Him or not. Relying on these feelings will delay your welcome of God, delay your acceptance of and pursuit of the truth, and delay your attainment of salvation. If you acknowledge that these truths are God’s words, and that they are what God bestows upon people as life, then what’s most important is for you to properly eat and drink God’s words, and to properly pursue the truth and the attainment of life so that you may be saved. Once you have gained the truth and life, you will be able to recognize God even before He changes His form, and you will say, “This Son of man I believe in is God! I believed in the right One, and I have gained the truth!” In the end, if you can also bear a resounding testimony for God, then you will have attained salvation. You cannot welcome the Lord based on whether you get a sense of the supernatural from Him or not. When the Lord Jesus first began His work, there was no commotion; it was not at all supernatural. And when Almighty God works in the last days, there is also no commotion; it is not at all supernatural either. Therefore, if you try to welcome the Lord based on whether you get a sense of the supernatural from Him or not, you will certainly fail. Do not think that as soon as Almighty God begins His work in the last days, the heavens will open, a voice will declare that Almighty God is the true God, and angels will descend. No such supernatural things will happen. This is your imagination; God never works in that way. When Almighty God comes, He expresses the truth. If you feel that these words expressed by Almighty God are the truth, then you should just read more of God’s words and seek to gain the truth. Once you have understood many truths, your initial doubts about Almighty God will turn into final certainty, and you will have some knowledge of God. At that time, you will say, “Almighty God is truly the appearance of God! I was right to accept Almighty God. I am hugely blessed in accepting Almighty God, and I have gained a lot every year!” Never mind how much you can gain from reading God’s words. Just take the words I am fellowshipping with you today—if you just relied on reading the Bible by yourselves, could you have figured these things out? (No.) You could never have figured them out. So when you gained these truths, did you see the heavens open? Did you see angels descend? (No.) You did not see anything supernatural. It is in such an ordinary environment that, without you even realizing it, the Holy Spirit enlightens and illuminates you from within; without you realizing it, you gain light from reading God’s words; and without you realizing it, you come to understand some truths. Over time, you feel that you have gained a great deal. You see, you have gained the truth in this ordinary environment. You have gained all the truths you ought to gain, and not one less. Therefore, if you pursue and gain the truth, and you can be certain that Almighty God is God before He changes His form, and you have knowledge of God, then you are blessed, and you have gained God’s approval. Tell me, when the Lord Jesus first began His work, who could be certain that He was God? No one knew He was God, and people were even more convinced that He was a human after He was crucified. But unexpectedly, three days after His death, the Lord Jesus was resurrected. It was only through this resurrection that people recognized that the One they believed in was truly God. You see, it was only after the Lord had been resurrected from the dead and had appeared for forty days that they truly became certain that the Lord Jesus was God, that He was Christ. If, in welcoming the Lord’s return, you also insist on seeing signs and wonders and seeing Almighty God change His form before you believe that Almighty God is Christ and the appearance of God, then by that time, God’s work of saving mankind will already have ended and the great catastrophes will already have descended. Will you still be able to be saved and perfected? It will be too late for you to believe then. You will not have been perfected and can only fall into the catastrophes, weeping and gnashing your teeth. Therefore, when Almighty God expresses the truth to judge and cleanse people, you must let go of whatever notions you have. To gain these truths expressed by God, you must follow God and pursue the truth; to gain these truths, you must forsake everything and do your duty, and be willing to suffer any hardship and pay any price. Once you have gained the truth, even if you have not seen God change His form, you will already be able to have complete certainty that Almighty God is God. You will be able to love and submit to God, and be loyal unto death. Then you will be a person approved of by God, and you will be able to survive the disasters and enter a beautiful destination. This result is achieved by people pursuing the truth, not by God performing signs and wonders. Tell me, is it good to pursue in this way? (Yes.) Therefore, you must come to know God by pursuing the truth. Do not wait until God changes His form to acknowledge and know Him. By that time, it will be too late, and you will have been eliminated. The Lord Jesus said: “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). What this means is that those who only believe after seeing God change His form, after seeing God become a spiritual body, will not be blessed. Only those who believe in and follow God and pursue the truth while God is incarnate and expressing the truth will be blessed. This is what the Lord Jesus meant by this. Is this easy to understand? (Yes.) So now you must believe in God according to what the Lord said. Don’t always be looking for a sense of the supernatural, saying, “The Almighty God we believe in looks so ordinary and doesn’t perform any signs and wonders. Is He really God? The pastors, elders, biblical scholars, and experts in the religious world also say He is a human. If we still follow Him, aren’t we being foolish, ignorant, and incapable of seeing things clearly?” Does anyone think this way? If you always have these doubts about God, then you are in trouble; you are a Thomas of the last days. Do you want to be a Thomas of the last days? (No.) Aren’t people who keep waiting until the day they see Almighty God change His form and return to Zion before they truly pursue the truth the biggest fools of all? (They are.) Will they still have a chance then? (No.) The gate of grace will have closed, and they will have missed their chance to enter the kingdom of heaven. So why did they miss it? (Because they held on to their own notions and imaginings and kept waiting for the Lord to descend on a cloud and for signs and wonders to appear, and so they missed their chance to enter the kingdom of heaven.) Then are they wise virgins or foolish virgins? (Foolish virgins.) There are many people who look very clever on the outside, but in fact, they are foolish virgins. They clearly acknowledge that the words of Almighty God are the truth, but they keep watching from the sidelines, thinking, “Is Almighty God really God, or just a human? I can’t believe in the wrong one. I must be certain that Almighty God is God before I can believe.” If you want to wait until you are certain before you accept and pursue—waiting until God changes His form, and you see this with your own eyes and then becoming certain that He is God—by then, no matter how much you want to pursue the truth, your opportunity to do so will be long gone. Your outcome will have already been determined; you will be eliminated and condemned by God, and you will have no further chance of salvation. Doesn’t that make you the biggest fool of all? When smart people see that Almighty God can express so many truths, they can acknowledge that Almighty God is the appearance of God, and they can let go of all their notions and accept Almighty God’s work of the last days. These are the wise virgins. But what is the attitude of the foolish virgins when they see the God who expresses the truth? Despite having the clear precedent of the Lord Jesus’ stage of work, and the clear fact of the Jews holding on to their notions and resisting the Lord as a lesson, they still cannot see this matter clearly and still cannot bring themselves to believe that “the One who can express the truth is God.” All that can be said is that they are too dull when it comes to matters of belief in God.
Question 5: When we talk about how God does the work of judgment and the importance of accepting it, our fellowship is quite hollow. After listening to it, potential gospel recipients still don’t quite understand why they must accept God’s judgment and cleansing in the last days to enter the kingdom of heaven. How can we fellowship on this aspect of the truth in a more practical way so that people can understand?
Answer: If your own fellowship is hollow and isn’t achieving results, why not find a relevant passage of God’s words to read to the potential gospel recipients? If you can find and read the relevant words of God to them, then the problem is already halfway to being solved. All of you, look for the relevant words of God. Let’s see who is best at finding them. (“Christ of the last days uses a variety of truths to teach man, to expose the substance of man, and to dissect the words and deeds of man. These words comprise various truths, such as man’s duty, how man should submit to God, how man should be loyal to God, how man ought to live out normal humanity, as well as the wisdom and the disposition of God. These words are all directed at the substance of man and his corrupt dispositions. In particular, the words that expose how man rejects God are even more so directed at how man is an embodiment of Satan, and an enemy force against God. In undertaking His work of judgment, God does not fully explain the nature of man in a few words; He exposes and prunes over the long term. All these different methods of exposure and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words; rather, the truth which man absolutely does not possess is used to carry out this work of exposure and pruning. Only methods such as these can be called judgment; only through judgment of this kind can man be subdued and thoroughly convinced about God, and moreover gain true knowledge of God” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Christ Does the Work of Judgment With the Truth).) This passage works, and there’s another that’s even more crucial. (“Christ of the last days brings life, and brings the enduring and everlasting way of truth. This truth is the path by which man gains life, and it is the only path by which man shall know God and be approved of by God. If you do not seek the way of life provided by Christ of the last days, then you shall never gain the approval of Jesus, and shall never be qualified to enter the gate of the kingdom of heaven, for you are both a puppet and prisoner of history. Those who are controlled by regulations, by words, and by the shackles of history will never be able to gain life nor gain the perpetual way of life. This is because all they have is turbid water which has been clung to for thousands of years instead of the water of life that flows from the throne” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life).) This passage is also effective, but you still need to find words of God that are more direct, that can pave the way, and that are the most foundational. If you can find these words of God, you will be able to achieve results. You must remember, what does the work of judgment mainly refer to? It is God revealing the highest truths, the most crucial truths, and the most important truths for attaining salvation; it is God exposing man’s corrupt essence and the true facts of their corruption. Only with this can people recognize the true facts of their own corruption, prostrate themselves on the ground and repent to God, and willingly practice the truth and live out the likeness of a true human. The words of God that expose man’s corrupt essence and the true facts of their corruption are higher truths. God says that corrupt mankind are descendants of Satan, that they are devils and Satans. These are the most precise, most powerful, and most thorough words that expose the essence of corrupt mankind. If you can accept these words of judgment, acknowledge the true facts of your corruption, that you are a devil and a Satan, and come to hate yourself, then you will be blessed. Then you will be able to cast off your corrupt disposition, become cleansed, and attain salvation. Therefore, if you want to be cleansed and attain salvation, you should obediently accept judgment and chastisement, and accept all the truths expressed by God; otherwise, you cannot be cleansed and attain salvation. If you only accept the words of God that judge man and expose revelations of man’s corruption, the results achieved will be limited, because these words are preliminary and general judgment. God intends to use higher truths to bring you into a higher realm. Only by accepting these higher truths and God’s deeper judgment and chastisement can you gain the truth and life, and truly live in the light. Therefore, the significance of accepting God’s judgment is truly profound. After you gain the words of judgment and can accept God’s judgment and submit, God begins to try and refine you, cleansing your corrupt disposition and making you a person who submits to and worships God. This is the significance of judgment. If you cannot see this matter clearly, it will hinder your life progress. Remember! Merely accepting a little pruning does not mean that you have accepted judgment and chastisement, nor does merely accepting a few of God’s words that expose revelations of man’s corruption. None of this is truly accepting judgment and chastisement. To truly accept judgment and chastisement, one must accept God’s more severe judgment and chastisement. So, have you accepted more severe judgment and chastisement? What is the most severe judgment you can accept? If you cannot see this clearly, then you are in trouble; you do not understand what judgment is. You think that by accepting a little pruning, you have accepted judgment and chastisement, but that’s not how it is. Some people say, “We also accepted judgment and chastisement in the Age of Grace. The Lord Jesus said: ‘And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment’ (John 16:8). As believers in the Lord, we can reprove ourselves of sin and of righteousness, and this is experiencing judgment and chastisement.” Is this statement correct? Did the Lord Jesus do the work of judgment and chastisement in the Age of Grace? No. In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus only did the work of redemption, so the Lord Jesus did not express the truths of judging and cleansing man. So, if religious people accept the words expressed by the Lord Jesus in His work of redemption, can they be considered to have accepted God’s judgment and chastisement? No. Then, after listening to the words of the Lord Jesus, can people come to reprove themselves of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment? They can only achieve this to a very limited degree. Why is this? It is because the Lord Jesus did not express the truths for judging, exposing, cleansing, and perfecting man. What the Lord Jesus said was very limited in quantity. So, can people achieve the result of being judged just by accepting these few words? Not at all. Look at those believers in the Lord in the Age of Grace—how many of them truly know the Lord Jesus? How many can truly submit to the Lord? How many know how to listen for God’s voice? Very few. Most people reject and even condemn the appearance and work of Almighty God. The people of the religious world are full of religious notions. When you read the words of Almighty God to them and fellowship on the truth, very few are able to accept it. Therefore, the religious world is full of people who believe in the Lord but do not know Him, people who believe in the Lord and enjoy His grace but can still resist Him. No matter how they boast about themselves, it is useless; the fact that they resist God is undeniable. So, now that you have experienced this stage of God’s work, can you accept the words of God that judge man’s nature essence? If God says that you are one of the great red dragon’s offspring, can you acknowledge and accept it? Some foreigners say, “You Chinese are offspring of the great red dragon, but we foreigners are not.” Then tell me, have foreigners not been corrupted by Satan? Are they not descendants of Satan? (They are.) Then is there any difference between descendants of Satan and offspring of the great red dragon? There is no difference. Have you recognized this? Can you accept this judgment and chastisement? If you accept very little judgment and chastisement, then you will be bound to have very limited changes in your life disposition. Is that understood? (Yes.) Then do you know how many aspects there are to God’s words that judge man? Arrange the words of judgment in order, based on which aspect is the highest and most severe judgment, and which is the shallowest and lightest. Once you’ve arranged them in order, reflect on how many steps you have experienced, and which step you have reached. If your experiential understanding is merely that “I am perfunctory in my duty, which means I am not sincere toward God, cannot yet love God, and have a corrupt disposition,” then this understanding is too shallow. Can you recognize that you are one of the great red dragon’s offspring? Can you recognize that you are a descendant of Satan? Can you recognize that you are a devil and a Satan? If your experiential understanding has not yet taught you these things, then you’re still a long way from achieving a change in disposition. Therefore, you cannot be considered to have experienced God’s judgment and chastisement simply by experiencing a few words of judgment or accepting a little pruning. This is far from enough. You must experience God’s judgment and chastisement over the long term to achieve knowledge of your own nature essence, and then your corrupt disposition can be resolved from the root. So what is man’s nature? Man’s nature is to revere satanic philosophies and theories such as “Every man for himself and the devil take the hindmost”; man’s nature is to venerate power and Satan; man’s nature is to love status; man’s nature is to lie and deceive; in man’s nature, there is no sincerity toward, no love for, and no submission to God; and man’s nature is to worship devils and Satan while not worshiping God at all. Only when you have gained experiential understanding of all these corrupt essences and resolved them can you be said to have truly experienced judgment and chastisement and become cleansed. If you only accept some general judgment, chastisement, and pruning, then it does not count as truly experiencing judgment and chastisement. If one day God said directly to you, “You are a Satan and a devil,” could you accept it? If you would think, “How can God say that? I am not a Satan or a devil,” would even dare to justify yourself, and would insist on waiting until God gives a few examples to expose your nature and reveal all your manifestations before you are left speechless and completely convinced, that would just prove your experience is too shallow. It would show that you have not yet experienced deeper and more severe judgment and chastisement, so your knowledge of yourself is limited, the changes in you are limited, and your knowledge of God is also too limited and too shallow: You are not yet able to serve God. If you were to serve God, you would still be likely to put yourself on display, bear witness to yourself, and resist God. You wouldn’t even realize this yourself, which is very dangerous. A person must experience judgment and chastisement to be able to serve God, and to be a leader or worker used by God. This is how one should understand God’s work of judgment in the last days.
Question 6: Some potential gospel recipients ask about the passages in Revelation concerning the two witnesses. We don’t really understand why they ask about these verses or what their notions are. What is the best angle from which to fellowship with them?
Answer: You don’t know their purpose in asking this, so you can start by saying to them, “Does this question have anything to do with welcoming the Lord? It has nothing to do with it. Can the two witnesses express the truth? Can they represent the Lord? No, they can’t; they can’t express the truth or represent the Lord! Now is the critical moment for welcoming the Lord’s return. Seeking the One who is expressing the truth and who is doing the work of salvation is the most correct path for welcoming the Lord’s return. Once you’ve determined these things, you’ll know that studying the two witnesses is useless and won’t help you welcome the Lord. The most important thing is to accept the Lord’s return without delay.” They asked you about the passages on the two witnesses, but we don’t know what their aim is in that. They might not believe that God has become incarnate, or they might think that the incarnate God is a human, not God. Religious people will not believe God has returned unless they see His spiritual body; if they don’t see His spiritual body, they won’t believe it. That one notion is their downfall. When God returns, it is to express the truth and do the work of judgment, and to lead people into all truths. To welcome the Lord, you must determine who is expressing the truth and who is doing the work of judgment in the last days. This is what is most critical. So, is there any point in them asking about the passages on the two witnesses? Are the two witnesses people who express the truth? Are they people who do the work of judgment? (No.) Therefore, these verses have nothing to do with the Lord’s appearance and work; studying them is useless.
