The Above’s Answers to the Questions of God’s Chosen People From Around the World (6)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – October 1, 2025 (Part Five)

Question 7: In the past, I achieved some results when I did my duty preaching the gospel, but recently I was promoted to take charge of the gospel work for my district. I don’t know how to carry out the overall gospel work, which has led to poor results. I’d like to seek from the brother: What specific aspects should I start with when doing gospel work? What are the key tasks that need to be done?

Answer: What is the most important thing in doing gospel work? You must know that preaching the gospel is mainly about propagating God’s words, and to propagate God’s words, the most important thing is to understand the truths regarding visions. The Lord Jesus prophesied how He would return, how He would appear and work, what work He would do upon His return, and how He would save people—these matters must all be fellowshipped clearly. If you don’t fellowship these matters clearly, religious people won’t accept it, and they won’t listen to you. Therefore, when doing gospel work the first thing is to ensure that the people in the church have a clear understanding of the truths regarding visions. This way, they will preach the gospel boldly, and they will bear a burden in doing so. If people don’t have a clear understanding of the truths regarding visions, they won’t have courage or bear a burden in preaching the gospel. They will constantly think, “I don’t understand the truth and I don’t have the stature: I can’t preach the gospel,” so they won’t have the faith to preach. If they have equipped themselves with the truth and understood many of the truths relating to preaching the gospel, they will think, “I understand these truths now, I can see many things clearly, and I know how to preach the gospel. I can answer any question a potential gospel recipient asks. I must go and preach the gospel and testify to God!” At this point, they will bear a burden. How did that burden come about? It comes from understanding the truths regarding visions and by knowing God’s work. The more they understand the truths regarding visions and know God’s work, the more they will know how truly meaningful God’s work of judgment in the last days is. Only the work of judgment can make people perfect so that they gain the truth, and make them perfect so that they have true faith in and true submission to God. Only those who truly submit to God are qualified to inherit God’s promise and enter the kingdom of heaven. Once they have experiential understanding in this area, they will have faith and will bear a burden in preaching the gospel. They will think, “Almighty God is God incarnate, He is the appearance of God. I must testify to Almighty God to my relatives and friends.” Tell me, are people able to develop a burden for preaching the gospel by understanding the truths regarding visions? (Yes.) Then why do most people not preach the gospel? It’s mainly because they don’t understand the truth and don’t know how to respond to the various questions raised by those from the religious world. They say, “The questions raised by people from the religious world are too tricky. I can’t answer them, so I can’t preach the gospel.” They have no faith, and therefore bear no burden in preaching the gospel. Of course, there are also a few people who don’t preach the gospel because they have too many family entanglements. But if they truly understand the truth, they can also preach the gospel online in their spare time, fellowship the truth in the church to motivate others to preach, or cooperate with others in preaching the gospel. Therefore, only by understanding the truth can you develop a burden for preaching the gospel; only by understanding the truth can you have the faith to preach the gospel, and only by understanding the truth can you achieve results in preaching the gospel. Is that not so? (Yes.) So, what is the first thing to do in the gospel work? What is the most important thing to do? (Water people with the truths regarding visions.) The most important thing to do is the work of watering people with the truths regarding visions. Fellowship clearly on the truths that people ought to equip themselves with in preaching the gospel, as well as the truths that the religious world lacks most. Then, they will be able to preach the gospel once they understand the truths regarding visions. It won’t work if you don’t fellowship the truth clearly; they can’t preach the gospel if they don’t understand the truth. Some people say, “I understand the truths regarding visions, but can I still preach the gospel if I haven’t lived out the truth reality?” Even if you don’t have the truth reality but can speak words and doctrines, that’s still OK; you can still achieve some results in preaching the gospel. If you can’t even explain the doctrines clearly, then there’s one last fallback option, which is to read God’s words to them. You can say to the potential gospel recipient, “I can’t answer the questions you’ve raised; I haven’t studied the Bible. But the words of Almighty God are all truth. Let me read a few passages of God’s words to you, and you’ll understand.” If the passages of God’s words you read are exactly what they need in their heart, then after you read the passages to them once or twice, they’ll take them to heart, thinking, “No person could say these words. These words come from God. They are so important. These words are the truth!” If they can recognize that the words of Almighty God are the truth, they will feel that those questions are no longer important. They’ll start thinking that they should listen to more of Almighty God’s words and will say, “What other words has Almighty God said? Please read more of Almighty God’s words to me.” By continuing to read God’s words to them, you will capture their interest. Then you can find someone who is good at testifying to get in touch with them and testify to them about Almighty God. This is the work that should be done in preaching the gospel. There are some religious people who do indeed acknowledge that God’s words are the truth, but they also have some notions and questions that need to be resolved. You must equip yourself with the truth and figure out the best way to resolve these notions and questions. If you can’t resolve these, it won’t work; it will be difficult to gain them. For example, a question that religious people will inevitably raise is, “The Lord will return by descending on a cloud. We haven’t seen the Lord descending on a cloud, so how can you say the Lord has returned?” You must be able to answer this question. How should you answer it? The Lord Jesus prophesied that His return would be the “coming of the Son of man” and the “Son of man descending.” Since it is said to be the coming of the Son of man, it means He will be born of a human, that He will become incarnate as a person to do His work. The Son of man comes before the catastrophes; God first becomes incarnate before the catastrophes to express the truth and do the work of judgment of the last days. First, God did pilot work in China, the land where the great red dragon lies coiled. He first made a group of overcomers before the catastrophes. Then, as the gospel spreads to all the countries of the world, the disasters will grow increasingly severe. Amidst the catastrophes, God will then make His chosen people from all countries into a group of overcomers. Therefore, God will make two sets of overcomers in the last days. After these two sets of overcomers have been made, God’s work will be finished. The Lord will publicly descend on a cloud, and the great catastrophes will follow. The descent of these great catastrophes will not be the catastrophes of the first three and a half years prophesied in Revelation, but the great catastrophes of the latter three and a half years. The descent of the great catastrophes of the latter three and a half years marks the beginning of the great catastrophes that will destroy mankind. If people do not accept God’s work during the period of His incarnation and insist on waiting until the Lord publicly descends on a cloud before they are willing to accept and follow Him, will it not be too late for them? By that time, the great catastrophes that will destroy mankind will have already descended, and all who do not accept the truth will be destroyed. Isn’t it okay to answer this question this way? (It is.)

Do you know when the great catastrophes of the latter three and a half years will arrive? (In the next few years.) I don’t know the exact date either, but don’t you all feel that the great catastrophes are imminent? (Yes.) On what basis do we say they are imminent? It’s that some particularly severe disasters are about to strike, which will threaten the survival of all mankind, and many people will die. For example, some large volcanoes are about to erupt. There are large volcanoes on every continent. If these large volcanoes erupt, will that be a great disaster? (It will.) In addition, there are wars which have now escalated to the point where a nuclear war might break out, and many countries around the world will be drawn into it. Will this be a great disaster? (It will.) A nuclear war would be a great disaster the likes of which the world has never seen. There will also be great earthquakes; in the future, earthquakes of magnitude eight, nine, or higher will occur in succession. There will also be great plagues, where people die as soon as they are infected. These will also be great disasters. Now that these kinds of great disasters are all imminent, would you say there is much time left before the great catastrophes of the latter three and a half years descend? (No, there isn’t.) Right now, we can still attend gatherings and preach the gospel online, but if a nuclear war breaks out, would we still be able to go online? (No.) We won’t be able to. I won’t be able to hold gatherings and fellowship with you even if I want to, and when the great catastrophes arrive, God’s work will come to an end along with them. Therefore, we must hurry to equip ourselves with the truth and to do our duties well. So tell me, shouldn’t you suffer and pay a price in order to equip yourselves with the truth and do your duties well? If anyone is still unable to suffer and pay a price in this final period of time, they are the most foolish of people. Look at how many people in the Age of Grace forsook their families and careers to follow the Lord and propagate the gospel. How many missionaries died in foreign lands? These are people who sincerely expended themselves for the Lord; they dedicated their entire lifetimes and their very lives to the Lord. That is why God predestined that they would be born into the last days to accept this stage of God’s work, giving them the opportunity to attain salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven. Nowadays, some people, upon suffering a little, say, “Oh, I’m not going to preach the gospel anymore,” or “Oh, there’s too much work involved in being a leader or worker. I can’t do it. I understand too little of the truth, and I’m not willing to pursue it. I just want to do a bit of a simple duty.” As soon as they encounter difficulties, their complaints come out, and they want to abandon their duty. Are these people who sincerely expend themselves for God? Are they people who sincerely love the truth? (No.) Some leaders and workers become negative as soon as they encounter a little difficulty in their work and want to abandon their duty, saying, “I don’t want to be a leader anymore; I just want to be an ordinary believer.” Of course, whether or not you want to serve as a leader or worker is your own choice; the church doesn’t force you, and God doesn’t compel you either. But you must know that if you are unwilling to suffer this hardship and unwilling to fulfill your responsibilities, it will be hard to say whether you can attain salvation and be made perfect when God’s work ends. The Lord Jesus told a parable: A master entrusted his silver to three servants according to their abilities. The servants who received five thousand and two thousand pieces of silver both earned as much as they had been given for their master. Only the servant who received one thousand did no trading and earned no money at all. In the end, the master called him a wicked and lazy servant and cast him into the darkness, where he wept and gnashed his teeth. Therefore, people must be devoted in their approach to God’s commission. No matter how great the difficulties they encounter, they must pay a price, suffer when it’s time to suffer, and do their utmost to complete God’s commission. If they constantly indulge in comfort and are unwilling to suffer, then they are in trouble and will certainly not gain God’s approval. The Lord Jesus said: “Woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck(Matthew 24:19). Do you know what this means? It’s not against the law to be pregnant or nurse a child, so why would these women be in woe? Some people may not have seen this clearly yet. What these words mean is that such people will miss the opportunity to enter the kingdom of heaven. During the period of God’s work, they did not pursue the truth, but instead only pursued a happy family life and the comforts and enjoyments of the flesh. As a result, when God’s work ends, they still haven’t gained any truth at all. Won’t that bring them woe? This is what the Lord Jesus meant by these words. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, people must now seize the hour to pay a price and pursue the truth. What price should be paid to pursue the truth? It means that no matter how many difficulties you encounter in your work, you must not abandon your duty. Just seek the truth to resolve them. Shoulder as much heavy work as you’re able to handle, and don’t choose a task just because it looks light or easy. That would be wrong; you won’t gain the truth that way. You must be able to suffer more and pay more of a price the heavier and more difficult the work is, working with all your might and with utmost devotion. At the same time, you must rely on God more and seek the truth. If you experience every ordeal this way, you will have gained the truth. Afterward, your heart will be filled with sweetness, and you’ll feel you’ve reaped a great harvest. So, what should be forsaken now must be forsaken. It doesn’t matter if you don’t eat or dress quite as well; gaining the truth is what’s most important. Tell me, is living a comfortable life more important, or is gaining the truth more important? (Gaining the truth is more important.) Some people say, “Gaining the truth is important, but if I spend all my time pursuing the truth and doing my duty, I won’t be able to eat good food or wear nice clothes. That’s not acceptable; I’m not willing to live that kind of life.” Can such people who covet the enjoyments of the flesh gain the truth? (No.) Do enjoyments of the flesh, good food, and good clothing mean you have gained life? (No.) Some people constantly pursue making a lot of money; they pursue living in mansions and driving luxury cars. Can these things get you into the kingdom of heaven? (No.) But suffering a little and paying a price to gain the truth can get you into the kingdom of heaven. Isn’t this suffering truly valuable and meaningful? (Yes.) Are the people who walk this path not the wisest of people? (They are.)

So how can you gain the truth? What does gaining the truth depend on? It depends on doing your duty. Without doing your duty, you cannot gain the truth. Although duty is what a created being ought to do and has no bearing on one’s outcome, if you don’t do your duty, you won’t gain the truth. And what is the consequence of not gaining the truth? You will have no share in the kingdom of heaven. If you can see this clearly, then do you not also need to see clearly the ways of doing your duty that can lead to you gaining the truth, and the ways of doing your duty which will not lead to you gaining the truth? (Yes.) Can you gain the truth by doing your duty in a muddled way? (No.) Therefore, how to gain the truth by doing your duty is a practical issue. To gain the truth in the course of doing your duty, you must pursue the truth in the course of doing your duty. You can only pursue the truth by doing your duty. How can you pursue the truth without doing your duty? Take the truth of submitting to God, for example. If you don’t do a duty and just believe in God in your spare time at home, can you practice the truth of submitting to God? (No.) Some people say, “I believe in Almighty God, and I listen in every gathering. Isn’t that enough to understand the truth and submit to God?” Can you achieve submission to God based on the little bit of truth you hear in gatherings? (No.) Why is it that by experiencing God’s work in the course of doing your duty, you can achieve submission to God, understand many truths, do your duty well, act according to principles, and accurately grasp God’s intentions? Why can you not achieve these results if you don’t do a duty and just believe in God in your spare time? Can you see this clearly? For example, how do you train yourself to submit to God while believing at home? You have nonbelieving family members at home; would it be acceptable to train yourself to submit to them? No, it wouldn’t. People who don’t believe in God are of Satan. If you submit to them, are you submitting to God? (No.) The only way to enter into the truth and achieve submission to God is by doing your duty in the church. In doing your duty, you can train yourself to submit to God, the truth, and whoever speaks in line with the truth through harmonious cooperation with your brothers and sisters, and ultimately discover what corrupt dispositions and rebelliousness you reveal in the course of doing your duty and resolve them by eating and drinking God’s words and fellowshipping the truth. Can you achieve such gains by living at home and believing in God in your spare time? (No, you can’t.) Therefore, doing one’s duty is the most real, accurate, and comprehensive way to experience God’s work. Most of the time, your corrupt dispositions are revealed in the course of doing your duty. When you reveal corruption in your duty, your brothers and sisters will help you know yourself, and the Holy Spirit will also work to let you know what corruption you have revealed. If you don’t do a duty and just live at home with nonbelievers, how can you have the Holy Spirit’s work? The Holy Spirit simply cannot work in that situation. If you believe in God in your spare time, you will have many revelations of corruption that cannot be resolved. Even if you wanted to seek the truth you wouldn’t be able to, because your family are all nonbelievers and you won’t have time to quiet your heart to read God’s words and seek the truth. Only by cooperating with your brothers and sisters in doing your duty in the church can you discover your revelations of corruption and be able to resolve problems at any time. This way, you will gain from your own experiences. Also, in the church, you can frequently listen to the fellowship and experiential testimonies of your brothers and sisters; in this way, you can also gain from others. In addition, in the course of doing your duty, the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit also helps you to understand the truth and grasp some principles of practice, which is another gain. Therefore, to do your duty in the church is to experience God’s work in a comprehensive way. The more you experience it this way, the greater your gains will be and the more you will understand the truth; in the end, you will enter into the truth reality. God makes perfect those who sincerely expend themselves for Him; such people are those who sincerely love God. How is sincere love for God manifested? It is manifested in satisfying God in the course of doing your duty, in being able to bear resounding testimony by entering the truth reality in the course of doing your duty, and finally, in being able to repay God’s love in the course of doing your duty. These people are made perfect by God. God’s work of making people perfect is all accomplished as they do their duty. So, isn’t doing your duty crucial? (Yes.) If you believe in God for ten years without ever doing a duty, while someone else believes for three years and does a duty the whole time, who do you think gains more? (The person who does a duty for three years.) They get more gains from three years of doing their duty than you do from ten years of believing in your spare time. If you believe in God in the religious world for a lifetime, while someone else believes in God in The Church of Almighty God for ten years, who do you think gains more? (The person who believes in God in The Church of Almighty God for ten years.) What is the basis for measuring how much you have gained? The basis is how much truth you have gained, how much your life disposition has changed, and how many resounding testimonies you have borne for God. It is measured by these results. In the last days, Almighty God has expressed all the truths that enable people to attain salvation. If you enter into these truths, you will make great gains, and you will be made perfect by God. But in the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus did not express so many truths. The truths in the New Testament were too limited to make people perfect on their own. That is why the Lord Jesus prophesied: “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth(John 16:13). If you have welcomed the God who expresses the truth and have entered into the truths He expresses, then your hope in believing in God—to enter the kingdom and receive blessings—will be realized. If you fail to welcome the God who expresses the truth and do not accept all the truths God leads you into, do not even dream of entering the kingdom of heaven. This is the meaning of the Lord Jesus’ prophecy. Do you understand this meaning? In the last days, God has expressed so many truths. Do you know what these truths represent? They represent the reality of the kingdom of heaven, the feast of the kingdom of heaven. When you eat and drink these truths, you are attending the feast of the kingdom of heaven. If you have entered into these truths, you will have a share in the kingdom of heaven. Understood? (Yes.) If you evade these truths—if you don’t listen to them or accept them—then you will have no share in the kingdom of heaven. And if you have no share in the kingdom of heaven, you will have a share in hell—in the end, you will have to go to hell. Right now, pastors and elders of the religious world don’t accept God’s work of the last days or the truths He has expressed in the last days. They have no share in the kingdom of heaven; they will not receive the blessing of entering the kingdom of heaven. Many religious people are still waiting for the Lord to descend on a cloud to take them into the kingdom of heaven. Some say the Mount of Olives has split, and they think, “The Lord Jesus is coming soon, and our hopes will be realized immediately!” They are ecstatic and run around spreading the news. But what will happen to them when the Lord truly descends publicly on a cloud? They will all wail. People who do not accept God’s work of the last days and who do not accept the truths expressed by God will all weep and gnash their teeth when they see God descending on a cloud. Have you seen this clearly? (Yes.) What do you think of fellowshipping on this question in this way? (It’s good.) This question doesn’t need to be answered directly. Doesn’t saying these things also achieve the desired effect? (Yes.) Remember, the first thing in preaching the gospel is to fellowship the truths regarding visions clearly. The second is to fellowship clearly on all the notions and questions of the religious world so that you can resolve them. The third is to read more of God’s words to potential gospel recipients when testifying, so that they can be certain that the words of Almighty God are the truth. This way, they will be able to accept it. This is how you should practice when preaching the gospel.

Question 8: As a testifying group director, I usually check and follow up on the work of the gospel preachers, checking on the progress they are making in preaching the gospel. But most of the time, even though I can see that they are not getting good results from preaching the gospel, I can’t see what their problems or deviations are. I’d like to know how I can check and follow up on the work of the gospel preachers in a more practical way.

Answer: Following up on the work of gospel preachers is a very realistic matter. You need to get into the specifics with them, asking which potential gospel recipients they failed to preach the gospel to, and which questions raised by those recipients they couldn’t grasp or answer. Are these not their deficiencies? (Yes.) Then, when you discover which aspect of the truth they are most lacking in, you should quickly fellowship with them to supplement their deficiencies. You should frequently ask them, “What kind of potential gospel recipients have you encountered recently while preaching the gospel? What questions did they raise that you couldn’t solve?” After they’ve answered, you all can fellowship together, seek the truth in God’s words, and equip yourselves with the truth. The next time they encounter such problems, they will know how to resolve them. When you follow up with the gospel preachers, your focus should be on solving their actual problems; this is the most real work. If you don’t solve their actual problems, what’s the use of constantly trying to resolve other issues? That’s a slow remedy that can’t address an urgent need. So, what is the primary work of a testifying group director? It is mainly to understand which truths the gospel preachers are lacking and which problems they cannot resolve, and then to quickly fellowship the relevant truths with them to supplement their deficiencies. This enables them to fellowship with anyone they may encounter and to face all kinds of problems with wisdom and resolve them, so that they can achieve better results in preaching the gospel. This is the work that a testifying group director should do. For example, you can ask the gospel preachers, “Have you encountered any difficulties in preaching the gospel lately? Were there any problems you couldn’t solve?” If there were any problems they couldn’t solve, you should fellowship on the truth related to their problems to resolve them. In this way, the gospel preachers will have fewer and fewer problems and make fewer and fewer mistakes when testifying; then they will fail less and less. Then the results of preaching the gospel will naturally just get better and better. Is that not so? (Yes.) So now, the only work this director is doing is just following up on the progress of the work. Isn’t that just going through the motions without focusing on solving real problems? Working this way won’t achieve results.
