The Above’s Answers to the Questions of God’s Chosen People From Around the World (7)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – November 17, 2025 (Part Four)
Question 4: When we talk about how there is only one true God and that the Trinity is a human notion and imagining, some religious people will quote passages from the Bible to uphold the doctrine of the “Trinity.” How should we refute them?
Answer: God is the one and only true God; there is only one God. But religious people divide this one God into three parts—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So, is there one God, or three? Based on the facts, is there not only one God? (Yes.) Based on the facts, there is only one God. So when religious people say that God is a Trinity, what do they base this on? They determine that God is a Trinity based on the Bible. So, is the Bible an accurate basis for this? (No.) Why is it not an accurate basis? Because the Bible does not consist entirely of God’s words; it also contains many words of man and of angels, and even the words of devils and Satan. So when you use the Bible as your basis, are you relying on God’s words, on the words of man and of angels, or on the words of devils and Satan? There is a distinction between all of these. It won’t do to just vaguely say you’re using the Bible as your basis. If your basis is the words of man in the Bible, then your basis is not the truth, but rather views that come from man’s own comprehension. Most of these views come from human notions and imaginings and go against the truth. If your basis is the words of devils and Satan in the Bible, then it is something negative—heresies and fallacies that resist God. Only God’s words are positive things and the truth. In all things, you can only be accurate by using God’s words as your basis. Therefore, there is a distinction between the different kinds of words in the Bible you are using as your basis. If you don’t base your view on God’s words in the Bible, but on the words of man or Satan, then your view is not valid or accurate. So when religious people determine that God is a Trinity based on the Bible, are they basing this on God’s words or on the words of man? (The words of man.) If their basis is the words of man in the Bible, then this basis is not accurate, and so they are liable to make mistakes. Is that not so? (It is.) We must use God’s words as our basis; they are the only accurate basis. Tell me, when did Jehovah God ever say that God is a Trinity? When did the Lord Jesus ever say that God is a Trinity? When did the Holy Spirit ever say that God is a Trinity? (None of Them ever did.) God has never said that He is a Trinity. So, who said that God is a Trinity in the biblical record? Paul said things to this effect, but the Lord Jesus certainly never said such a thing. Some people might say, “If God is not a Trinity, why did the Lord Jesus pray to God the Father? If He prayed to God the Father, does that not make Him the Son?” Although the Lord Jesus prayed to God the Father, He did not say that God is a Trinity. The Lord Jesus prayed to God the Father, but this only proves that, as the incarnate Son of man, He could not see or feel the Father within Him. The Father was Spirit and there was a distance between the Spirit and the incarnate flesh. The Spirit governed this flesh, and the Spirit was hidden from the flesh much of the time, not allowing the incarnation to feel Him. Therefore, the incarnation could not feel that God was within Him. Tell me, when the incarnate God expresses the truth, can He feel that it is the Spirit of God uttering words? (He cannot.) The incarnate God cannot feel it. So at critical moments, especially when He was about to be crucified, the Lord Jesus also had to pray and grasp God’s intention. That’s why He prayed, “O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I desire, but as You desire” (Matthew 26:39). In praying these words, the Lord Jesus was seeking the desire of the Holy Spirit, because the incarnation has no clear feeling as to how the Holy Spirit is working. Let me give you an example. Tell me, when I’m preaching a sermon, can I feel that the words I’m speaking are from the Holy Spirit? (No.) Perhaps when you listen to my sermons, you can feel, “These words are illuminating; they’re from the Holy Spirit,” but I don’t feel anything. I don’t have any clear feeling as to how the Holy Spirit is enlightening and guiding me. It’s only afterward that I realize, “How could I have suddenly fellowshipped these words? This was the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit; they came from the Holy Spirit.” But I have no such awareness while I am speaking. Tell me, are the words I fellowship with you written out in advance? (No.) I just ponder briefly, thinking, “What topic should I talk about today? Let’s fellowship on this aspect; it’s quite practical.” After that, I begin to speak, and as a result, the more I speak, the more there is to say, and the more I say, the more clearly and practically I can fellowship on the issue. In truth, when I’m pondering, I only have a rough idea; I have never prepared what I’m going to say afterward in advance. So, this comes from the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but I really don’t have any clear feeling of it when I’m speaking. This is how it feels for me. So, tell me, does the incarnate God not feel the same way? (Yes.) Neither the Lord Jesus nor Almighty God can feel the Spirit’s work while They are in the flesh. What does this prove? The Spirit of God works in wondrous and hidden ways. God can dwell in your heart without you even feeling it. You can feel Him when He allows you to, and you cannot when He does not. It’s just like when some brothers and sisters share their experiential testimonies in church life. We can sense the work of the Holy Spirit when we hear their experiences, but if you were to ask them if they felt how the Holy Spirit was working in them at the time, they too would say they had no clear feeling of it. It’s only upon reflection afterward that they realize it was the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. So why did they not feel it at the time? This is the wonder of the Holy Spirit’s work; the Holy Spirit simply does not give people a clear feeling. Therefore, the incarnate God cannot feel the Spirit of God within Him. Even though He sometimes prays to God the Father to seek God’s intention, this does not prove that God is a Trinity. God is the one and only true God; there is only one God. This is beyond a shadow of a doubt!
Question 5: In 2 Thessalonians, Paul mentions that the lawless one will appear in the last days. According to the common interpretation in the religious world, this refers to the antichrist of the last days, who will mislead many people. Because of this, many potential gospel recipients are afraid of being misled and are unwilling to accept God’s new work. How should we fellowship to resolve their worries and concerns in this regard?
Answer: Do you have any discernment regarding this matter now? Do you know when this antichrist who will mislead all the nations of the world will appear? They will appear during the great catastrophes of the last seven years. In terms of timing, they are about to appear. This antichrist will appear during the great catastrophes, while God appears and works in the last days before the catastrophes. Look at the time frames—could their appearances coincide? Absolutely not. Therefore, the antichrist spoken of in the Bible has absolutely nothing to do with God’s work of the last days. Furthermore, what work is God doing in the last days? God is doing the work of judging, cleansing, and perfecting His chosen people. And what work will the antichrist come to do? The antichrist will come to deceive and mislead people. They will try to become the king of all nations and have the people of all nations worship them and treat them as God. This antichrist will work outside of God’s house; their work will be to mislead nonbelievers and religious people into accepting and worshiping them. On the other hand, God appears in the last days to work within God’s house, to do the work of cleansing and saving God’s chosen people. Are the scope and purpose of their work the same? (No.) So how can you discern the antichrist? Does the antichrist have the truth? Can the antichrist do the work of expressing the truth? The antichrist does not have the truth and cannot do the work of expressing it; they just come to mislead people. This antichrist is actually a worldly king. They have a superior intellect, extraordinary eloquence, and a high level of knowledge, and they are able to make the elites and religious scholars of all nations accept and worship them. But they do not have the truth, and they cannot do the work of judging and cleansing people. So why do we say they are the antichrist? It is because when they see the incarnate God expressing the truth, they hate and resist Him. They run rampant throughout the nations of the world, making people worship and follow them. They want to take God’s place in people’s hearts, which is why they are the antichrist. But no matter how they mislead people, they can only mislead those who do not love the truth. None of God’s chosen people who love the truth will worship or follow them. Therefore, the appearance of this antichrist and the appearance and work of God are two completely different things. Furthermore, in addition to the appearance of this antichrist in the last days, false christs and false prophets who perform signs and wonders to mislead people will also appear. If you want to discern them so as not to be misled, you must remember that in God’s work of the last days He only expresses the truth. Anyone who cannot express the truth and only performs signs and wonders to mislead people is a false christ. Anyone who cannot express the truth yet claims to be Christ or a prophet is a false christ or a false prophet. Therefore, the most accurate way to weigh up whether a person is Christ or not is to discern them based on whether they have the truth. So how can you weigh up whether a religious pastor has spiritual understanding or knows God? Some people say to look at whether they acknowledge the incarnation. This is one way to weigh them up. If they not only refuse to acknowledge the incarnation but also dislike and resist Him, then they are definitely an antichrist. But there is another way to weigh them up, which is the most practical way. It is to read God’s words to them and have them listen to see if these words are the truth. If they do not acknowledge that these words are the truth, then they are a devil—one hundred percent. Weighing people up using God’s words is the most accurate way to do it. God’s words are like a mirror that exposes everything. A person’s essence is revealed with perfect clarity before God’s words—no one can escape. Is this not correct? (It is.) So, can you discern all this? If you do not understand the truth, you will not be able to discern this. If you truly understand the truth, you will be able to discern it. If you are able to discern all kinds of people, events, and things according to the truth, you will be able to see all these people clearly.
So, how can you discern the true appearance and work of God? This must also be weighed up according to the truth. Tell me, who can expose mankind’s corruption? Who can explain the root of mankind’s corruption clearly? Who can cleanse people’s corrupt dispositions? If you can discern these things clearly, then you can be certain that the words expressed by Almighty God are the truth, and that the work of Almighty God is the appearance and work of God, because only God can express the truth to expose and cleanse people’s corrupt dispositions. Anyone who cannot express the truth and cleanse people’s corrupt dispositions cannot do the work of saving mankind. They are not the appearance of God; they are definitely a false christ, a false prophet, or an antichrist: They mislead people. Can you see this matter clearly? If you can, you will be able to discern whether something is God’s work. If someone has great worldly knowledge, does it mean they have the truth? (No.) No matter how great their knowledge is, it does not mean they have the truth! If someone is highly eloquent, does it mean they have the truth? Or, if someone is highly skilled at misleading people, does it mean they have the truth? (No, it does not.) Therefore, the most accurate way to discern God’s work is to use the truth as your basis. The truth allows people to discern God’s work and all kinds of people. The most accurate way to weigh people up is also to use the truth as your basis. Weighing people up based on their attitude toward the truth and on whether they acknowledge and accept the truth will reveal everyone—no one can escape. Antichrists will definitely not acknowledge God’s work; they will one hundred percent not acknowledge it. If you read God’s words to someone and ask them to say if these words come from God, and they do not acknowledge that they are God’s words or that they are the truth, then they are an antichrist. This completely settles the matter. Discerning people is just this simple. God’s sheep, upon hearing these words, can recognize that they are God’s voice and the truth, and they can accept and follow Almighty God. So, in your belief in Almighty God, how did you determine that Almighty God is the one and only true God? How do you prove that Almighty God’s words are the truth? If you cannot state your basis, cannot determine that Almighty God is the one and only true God and the appearance of the Creator, and you have no experience to prove that Almighty God’s words are the truth, then this proves that you have no knowledge of God. What are the consequences of having no knowledge of God? You remain susceptible to being misled by antichrists and false christs, and you remain in great danger. Is this not correct? (It is.) So what is the best way to avoid being misled by antichrists and false christs? You must understand the truth, see through antichrists and false christs, and see through to the essence of Satan. This way, you will never be misled by antichrists or false christs. In addition, you must have a foundation in the words of Almighty God and always firmly believe that Almighty God is the appearance of the Creator, the appearance of the one and only true God. This way, no one will be able to mislead you. When you have pursued the truth to the point of gaining it, you will have a share in the kingdom of heaven. We all know there is a prophecy in the Book of Revelation that says after the end of the Age of Millennial Kingdom, God will release devils and Satan from the bottomless pit. What does it mean that God will release them? It means that at that time, devils and Satan will be reincarnated and come to the human world. They will claim to believe in God, and they will be very eloquent, have much education and knowledge, and be good-looking. These people will be able to mislead many with their words and actions. Many people will regard them as famous and great figures, worship them, and follow them; they will then be misled. These people who will be misled are the laborers. Although God has graced these laborers by allowing them to enter the Age of Millennial Kingdom for a thousand years of enjoyment because they devotedly did their duty during the period of God’s work of the last days, and God will utter no small number of words in the Age of Millennial Kingdom, they will never accept the truth and will only be willing to labor. Outwardly, they don’t appear to commit great evils, but they never understand the truth, cannot discern all kinds of people, and still cannot attain God’s salvation. In the end, when devils and Satan are released from the bottomless pit and reincarnated as people with exceptional knowledge and gifts, these laborers will be misled and led astray by Satan. Laborers do not pursue or accept the truth; they like to worship famous people and idols, and so they become misled, betraying God and following Satan. Therefore, God will utterly destroy these laborers. This is the second death, and this death determines their eternal outcome. Remember, all who do not gain the truth will sooner or later be revealed and eliminated. Nobody can stand firm without the truth. Say for example that someone just holds fast to the name of the Lord Jesus and clings to the words of the Bible out of fear of being misled by antichrists, yet does not seek or investigate God’s work of the last days, and does not accept the truths expressed by Almighty God or the work of judging, cleansing, and saving man that He does. Tell me, are they not the most foolish and ignorant of all people? (They are.) And what is the consequence of being foolish and ignorant? (Destruction.) Therefore, not accepting the truth is very dangerous. Even if those who do not accept the truth are not ultimately misled by antichrists, they will still be destroyed for not accepting and gaining the truth. Some people are afraid of being misled when you ask them to accept the truth. These are the ones who will be destroyed; they are unworthy of gaining the truth. In fact, the best way to avoid being misled is to accept the truth. Once you understand the truth, you will naturally be able to discern antichrists and false christs, and you will never be misled no matter how they try to mislead you. So, can you now discern antichrists and false christs? (We can.) People who can discern have the truth reality and can stand firm. Those who cannot discern are in trouble; antichrists can mislead you with just their knowledge and eloquence. How utterly foolish and ignorant you would be if that happened! If you can’t even discern whether a person has the truth or is a negative figure, then you are in danger, and it will be very difficult for you to follow God to the very end. Therefore, accepting the truth and pursuing an understanding of it is what is most crucial.
