How Leaders and Workers Should Do Church Work (2)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – December 5, 2025 (Part Three)

When God first entrusted me with the work, I was only leading the church. It was only after God appeared and worked that I became certain the Holy Spirit wanted to use me to cooperate with God’s work. What was my mindset at that time? I felt, “I am just an ordinary person. For God to use me to do the work today is Him raising a destitute person from the dunghill. I cannot disappoint God. I must stand firm in the position of a created being, and in all things, I must exalt God and bear witness to God.” Therefore, the first work I did was to print books of God’s words in large quantities, so that all the churches could eat and drink God’s present words. God had already started doing new work and expressed new words—people could stop reading the Bible, but they absolutely had to eat and drink God’s present words. Given the environment at the time, in which the CCP was frantically arresting Christians in mainland China, imagine the risks of printing books of God’s words! Getting caught by the CCP police would have meant a heavy sentence! So I held co-workers’ meetings to discuss how to do this work—how to arrange for various churches to find relatively safe and discreet printing factories to print the books, and, once the books were printed, how to distribute them, what vehicles to use to transport them, and who would be the safest people to transport them. After I had arranged all this work, we began printing books of God’s words in large quantities, and then safely distributed them into the hands of God’s chosen people in churches everywhere. In addition, I also took the lead in writing hymns. I wrote all kinds: hymns about experiencing God’s work and hymns bearing witness to and praising God. In that year or two, I wrote over a hundred hymns. In this way, brothers and sisters could sing hymns to praise God, and their church life could be enjoyable. But I do not write books myself. In my work, as long as God’s chosen people can all eat and drink God’s words, understand the truth, do their duty well, and bear witness to God—as long as this result can be achieved, I consider my work complete. I never write books to establish my own theories. We humans are nothing before God. When we do the work, we shouldn’t think about showing our faces and standing out, nor should we think about doing something earth-shattering to make people look up to and worship us. It’s enough to be able to do some real work with both feet on the ground behind the scenes. This is my mindset in my work. Is it appropriate for me to do the work this way? (It is.) We must learn the lesson from Paul’s failure! If Paul had a bit of reason, he should have collected all the words spoken by the Lord Jesus during His years of work, transcribed them, and distributed them to all the churches so that everyone could eat and drink the words of the Lord Jesus. But he did not do this work. He just kept writing epistles to the churches himself, and the tone of his epistles was particularly arrogant. He always said he was acting by the will of God. But whose will was he referring to when he said “by the will of God”? What he had in mind was acting by the will of Jehovah God, so he rarely said “in the name of the Lord Jesus” or “sent by the Lord Jesus.” He thought Jehovah God was greater, so he did not mention the name of the Lord Jesus. Look at how people who believe in the Lord Jesus often pray. Most of them first mention Jehovah God, who created the heavens and the earth, and then they mention the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Or, when they pray, they put Jehovah God first, the Holy Spirit second, and the Lord Jesus third. Tell me, do religious people who pray like this know God? Do they know that the Lord Jesus is God? They do not know. There are even some religious denominations whose very names deny the Lord Jesus. Tell me, is this not absurd? (It is.) Then how did these absurd things come about? Are they not the consequences of antichrists, great and small, holding power? When antichrists hold power, they will do these things. Therefore, when electing leaders and workers, if you choose the wrong person—if you elect eloquent intellectuals, experts, and scholars to be church leaders—these consequences will arise. They could even gradually change the name of The Church of Almighty God, and they would write books to establish their own theories to replace the words of Almighty God. Tell me, is there such a risk? (There is.) If you do not know how to discern people, and especially how to discern antichrists, what mistake are you prone to making during church elections? (Electing antichrists to be leaders and workers.) Is electing leaders and workers not something that is very revealing of people? (It is.) If you have no discernment and blindly cast your vote, electing an antichrist, then have you done an evil deed or a good deed by voting? (An evil deed.) It is indeed an evil deed. When you voted for an antichrist, were you certain they were an honest person? Did you see through to their essence? You did not see through to anything; you just voted for whoever was eloquent, whoever had power, or whoever had a high reputation in society. You only look at people’s outward appearance, but God looks at people’s hearts. If you vote for whoever outwardly possesses knowledge, education, and status, then your judgement is wrong. That is why we say that electing leaders and workers is something that is most revealing of people. If you elect someone who truly has the work of the Holy Spirit and pursues the truth to be a leader or worker, then what you have done is in line with God’s intentions, and you are preparing good deeds. If you elect someone who walks the path of an antichrist, then what you have done is an evil deed, a way of acting that resists God. Although you didn’t write your name when you voted, God knows who you voted for. God scrutinizes everything. This is your evil deed, and it is recorded in your book of life. Therefore, people without discernment must not vote blindly. If you elect the wrong person due to a lack of discernment and still say, “This person is quite good now; I don’t know what they will be like in the future,” this is far too irresponsible and unprincipled! So what are the principles for voting for leaders and workers? First, you must be certain that this person has truly borne experiential testimony, and certain that they walk the path of pursuing the truth. Once you are certain of these things, then you can elect them. If you cannot see them clearly, and they have not borne true experiential testimony, but can only endlessly spout words and doctrines, then do not vote for them. Remember: Vote for people who have borne experiential testimony, who can keep their feet firmly on the ground as they walk the path of believing in God, and who are honest and reliable people. Is this a good way to vote for people? (It is.)

One of the most important duties of leaders and workers is to properly oversee election work. You must absolutely not elect people who walk the path of antichrists to be leaders or workers at any level, because this kind of person always monopolizes power; they are always pondering how much power they have in the church and how they can get more. They say, “If I were a top-level leader, I would have more say in the church. If brothers and sisters had any issues, they would have to come and ask me, and whatever I say would go.” Are people who can say such things and have such thoughts not dangerous? (They are.) They are dangerous. Look, whenever they have a problem, many leaders and workers in God’s house come to ask me about it. How do I treat this matter? (Brother, you tell us to base everything on God’s words.) I do not make everyone revolve around me and listen to my words. I often say, “As leaders and workers, when you have problems, you must learn to find the answers in God’s words yourselves. It will be fine once you can handle matters according to principles. If you do not know how to handle anything and have to come and ask me about everything, it proves that you have no principles as leaders and workers, and you are unfit for use!” This is my attitude. If the brothers and sisters asked you about every problem and listened to you in everything, how would you treat that? (I would ask them to first think for themselves about how to handle the matter according to principles.) Some people do not have this attitude. When others come to ask them questions and revolve around them, they feel delighted and hold their heads high, thinking, “Everyone has to ask me about their problems. No one can do without me!” Is such a person good? (No. The nature of what they are doing is actually competing with God for status, wanting others to worship them as if they were the truth.) They are enjoying the benefits of status! Once they have status, they think, “Everyone comes to ask me about their problems. No matter what, nothing gets decided until I have the final say. In this church, I am in charge!” What kind of disposition is this? (The disposition of an antichrist.) If they constantly harbor this kind of thought in their heart, are they not revealed as an antichrist? (They are.) Then they are in danger, and their end has come, right? (Right.) Remember, at no time should you ever pursue showing your face or standing out, pursue holding a place in people’s hearts, or make God’s chosen people look to you, rely on you, and wait for you to make decisions in all matters. If this situation truly arises, then you will be in trouble. It shows that you have not brought people before God, and you must quickly turn things around and testify about God to God’s chosen people. You should say, “The answers to the questions you ask are all in God’s words. Why do you not look for the answers in God’s words? Do you not know how to look for principles yourself? When you eat and drink God’s words and see principles and paths of practice within them, you should mark them. When there are difficulties in the church’s work, you should resolve them based on these principles and paths. If you do not know how to mark principles and paths of practice, it proves that you do not know how to eat and drink God’s words.” Is it good to say this? (It is.) If you fellowship the principles clearly with someone, but they still come to ask you things, still look to you, and cannot do the work without you, you should rebuke them, “Why do you look to people instead of God? Why do you always ask people instead of relying on God or looking for principles in God’s words? Have you really listened to God’s sermons for so long without understanding any truth? You only know how to look to and rely on people. Do you have any truth principles in your belief in God? I can see that you have no truth reality at all!” Speaking this way is cultivating them, prompting them to come before God to pray to and rely on Him, to learn to find answers in God’s words, and to handle matters according to truth principles. You just need to focus on bringing them before God. Does doing this achieve good results? (It does.) Otherwise, if you keep on answering questions for someone, they will treat you as a crutch and gradually become unable to do without you. Is that not harming them? (It is.) We cannot do this. Some people love it when others ask them about everything and look to them, treating them as god. These people are antichrists and devils. Tell me, on what basis do I resolve the various difficulties and problems in the church? (God’s words.) I do everything based on God’s words. I do not do things that have no basis in God’s words. Whenever I expel antichrists, dismiss false leaders, and discern disbelievers, I have a basis in God’s words. My basis is never just one passage of God’s words, but many passages of words expressed by God in various periods. The work arrangements I issue are also based on God’s words, and based on God’s intentions and requirements. I don’t make them up casually on a whim, nor do I make them however I please. They are all based on God’s words. Some people say, “You are not loving when you prune people. Sometimes your words are quite harsh and unpleasant, and they pierce people to the heart.” Why am I so harsh when I prune people? Because many people violate principles in doing their duty and delay the church’s work. Even after fellowshipping the truth with them many times, they still do not practice it, and even after being pruned many times, they still do not turn things around. That’s when my words get harsh. I do this to pierce them to the heart and pain them, to force them to reflect on and know themselves. All people are scummy, have a lazy disposition, and are sluggish and lethargic in doing their duty. In order to achieve good results in the work, should we not be a little harsher with them? (We should.) If you are not harsh, they will not learn their lesson. But if you prune someone harshly, will they judge you as lacking love? (They will.) Then how should you treat this? Are you afraid of being judged by others? (No, I’ll let them judge me as they please; I’ll just focus on fulfilling my own responsibilities.) Some people become constrained as soon as they are judged. They start to doubt if they have love for others, and worry that the brothers and sisters will not support their work. So they quickly admit fault to those who judged them, saying, “Oh, I revealed a corrupt disposition toward you! I was not loving!” What is the problem here? (Showing love to a devil and even admitting fault to them—this is not in line with God’s intentions.) Does this kind of person understand the truth? (No.) It only takes a single judgment from Satan to make you lose your footing—you are truly looking at things too superficially! Let me give you an example. I once pruned a sister. She was very absurd, and I pruned her quite harshly. In the end, she said, “I submit to God!” What did this mean? Actually, what she meant was, “I submit to God, but I do not submit to man,” but she only said the first half and didn’t dare say the second half. Is this not deceitfulness? (It is.) So was she submissive to God? (No.) Since she wasn’t submissive, how could she still utter the words “I submit to God”? What disposition was revealed when she uttered these words? (She did not accept the truth at all, and what she revealed was the disposition of an antichrist.) Her problem was serious. How should you treat this kind of situation, where you prune someone in order to uphold the principles but they refuse to accept it and judge you instead? Is it right to say, “Brothers and sisters are judging me for lacking love and handling things without principle, and they also say I have no truth reality. If this goes on, I won’t be able to do this work. I must apologize to them and admit fault!”? (No. For a leader or worker to prune someone in order to safeguard the work of God’s house is in line with God’s intentions. If they apologize and admit fault out of fear of being judged by others, they are bringing shame upon God in front of the devil.) What are the consequences of them doing this? Can they still uphold the principles? Can they still stand on God’s side? (No.) Then can they still resolve problems in their work? (No.) They are derelict in their responsibilities. They don’t want to offend anyone, and they don’t prune or expose anyone. They just maintain a situation where everyone lives in peace and harmony, and that’s it. Can the church’s work be done well in this way? (No.) Some leaders are just like this. They sound quite logical when they speak of spiritual doctrines, and the words they say are all correct, but they just do not resolve actual problems. When they see false leaders and false workers doing things that violate principles, and when they see disbelievers and antichrists disturbing the church, they neither expose nor deal with them. They pretend not to see, feeling that it’s nothing to do with them if others do evil, as long as they themselves do not do any evil. Are these people not false leaders? (They are.) Why do we say they are false leaders? (Because they do not do real work or resolve actual problems.) Then what is the use of them preaching those spiritual theories? Are they not showing themselves off and putting on a display so that people will look up to them? (They are.) They are false leaders. The first manifestation of a false leader is that they only preach pleasant-sounding doctrines and say correct things, but they don’t do a single real thing or resolve a single actual problem. They see evil people disturbing the church but ignore it; they see disbelievers running amok but ignore it; they see false leaders and false workers not doing real work but do not expose them; and they see antichrists disturbing the church’s work and harming God’s chosen people but pretend not to see. They resolve no actual problems and do no real things; they don’t lift a finger to help when things go wrong—they just waggle their tongues and preach a little spiritual theory so that people look up to them. Tell me, what sort of people are they? Not only are they false leaders, but they are also hypocritical Pharisees. Tell me, why do false leaders understand so many spiritual doctrines but do not resolve any actual problems? Why must they walk the path of false leaders and antichrists? (Because they are severely ridden with satanic philosophies.) They are severely ridden with satanic philosophies, they don’t want to offend anyone, and they just act as people pleasers. What other problems are there? (They only protect their own interests, and in their hearts, fame, gain, and status are more important than God’s work and the interests of God’s house.) This is another point. They only protect their own interests, are afraid of offending others, are afraid of harming their interests, and are afraid of losing support. So why do they not safeguard God’s work and the interests of God’s house? What is their relationship with God like? Are their hearts aligned with God’s? (No.) Are they of one heart and mind with God? (No.) If neither is the case, then is their expenditure and effort for God or for themselves? (For themselves.) Then why can they forsake everything to do their duty? What is their goal and intention in doing their duty? (To receive blessings.) Does dissecting them like this not expose their true colors? (It does.) Can you dissect these people in this way? Once you know how to dissect them, you will be able to see through this kind of people, these false leaders.
