How Leaders and Workers Should Do Church Work (2)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – December 5, 2025 (Part Eight)
So—what is the core work of leaders and workers? It is resolving all the difficulties in the church’s work according to the truth, resolving all the problems in God’s chosen people’s life entry and performance of their duty according to the truth, and leading God’s chosen people into the truth reality according to the truth, so that they may bear testimony for God. All this work must be done according to the truth; without the truth, you cannot make any headway. Some people say, “We are pursuing the truth now, but we still cannot resolve some actual difficulties.” When doing their work, they often live amid difficulties. Tell me, are there any difficulties that the truth cannot resolve? As long as you seek the truth, there are no difficulties or problems that cannot be resolved. You see, right now, when you sometimes encounter difficulties and problems and seek from me, I hold gatherings with you and fellowship to resolve them. But after I finish fellowshipping, have you gained the truth? After listening to my fellowship, you only know a path—but do you have that stature? (No.) You do not have that stature for the time being. You still have to rely on yourself to pursue the truth, and to practice and experience God’s words. For example, someone asked, “How can we discern and see through various kinds of people?” You cannot achieve this right away. If I fellowship with you now, would you be able to discern various kinds of people as soon as I finish? (No, it wouldn’t be possible.) This requires frequent fellowship on this aspect of the truth so that you can equip yourselves with it bit by bit. Gradually, as you come to understand more truths, you will be able to discern people. Take discerning leaders and workers, for instance. Those who understand the truth and are able to discern people will know the measure of the other person’s stature just by listening to them preach one sermon. Is this not extremely easy? When you express a view on a matter, those who understand the truth will know the measure of your stature and whether you have the truth reality. For those who truly understand the truth, viewing and discerning people is just that simple. Those who do not understand the truth only follow regulations. Can following regulations help you to see things accurately? Can it help you to see people clearly? If a special situation arises, it could be troublesome; they will not be able to see it clearly, and they will be prone to making mistakes. Therefore, you should pursue the truth earnestly, read God’s words more, listen to more sermons and fellowship, and pay attention to observing and discerning all kinds of people in various matters, and gradually you will get the hang of it. For example: If you see that someone can genuinely reflect on themselves, and practice the truth when they understand it, they are one of God’s people; but if someone understands the truth but does not practice it, understands the principles but does not act according to them, does not practice the truth in their actions, and speaks and acts according to satanic philosophies and their own will, then they do not pursue the truth. This is the most accurate way to discern people. When you discern leaders and workers, you look at what they do all day—whether they hold gatherings just to go through the motions or to resolve problems, and what problems they focus on resolving. If they hold gatherings to resolve problems in the church’s work so that the church’s work can achieve better results, or to resolve difficulties in God’s chosen people’s life entry and duty so that they can understand the truth and do their duty in a way that is up to standard, then they are doing real work. If they only hold gatherings to show themselves off and do not resolve any problems, then they are false leaders and cannot do real work. Is that not so? (It is.) Some people only spout doctrines when preaching the gospel. What is their purpose in doing this? It is not to resolve people’s notions and problems, but to show themselves off. The scraps of doctrine they spout completely fail to hit the mark, and cannot resolve people’s actual problems and difficulties. Therefore, they get no results when they preach the gospel, and no matter how long they show off for, they never gain anyone. If they preach the gospel specifically to resolve people’s notions and erroneous thoughts and views, and if they can fellowship their practical understanding of the truth to resolve any questions raised by potential gospel recipients, then they will get good results in preaching the gospel. After coming to believe in God, the potential gospel recipients will say, “The truths this person fellowshipped are so beneficial to me!” How do you discern whether someone is doing real work, regardless of what duty they do? You have to look at their attitude toward the truth, whether what they say can resolve real problems, and whether their views and the ways they act accord with the truth principles. If you know how to weigh people up in this way, you will gradually become able to see through anyone. Is it easy to weigh people up in this way? (It is.) If you discern bit by bit and from matter to matter in this way, then over time you will be able to see through people. For example, say you find that someone does not practice the truth and does not act according to the principles in one matter. Later, you find that they also do not practice the truth in other matters, and act according to their own will instead of the principles. Then you observe how they act when it comes to other areas. If they do not practice the truth or act according to the principles in three to five areas, you can reach a conclusion: They do not practice the truth. This is not condemning them based on a momentary transgression or a momentary revelation of corruption; instead, your discernment is based on their manifestations in multiple aspects. This is accurate. For another example, say someone preaches a sermon just to show themselves off, speaking only empty theories, and does not speak to resolve problems. In that case, look at whether they still show themselves off in the next gathering. If they show themselves off at most of the gatherings they attend and do not truly resolve problems, then you can reach a conclusion: This person does not do real work, skirts around problems when they speak, and speaks only to show themselves off. Is this conclusion appropriate? (It is.) If everything a leader or worker fellowships to others accords with the truth, but they themselves do not practice the truth, what does this prove? It proves that they understand all the truths but just do not practice them. Are they not a hypocrite? (They are.) They fellowship the truth to others very clearly and accurately, yet they themselves do not practice it. This is utilizing the truth to show themselves off and make people look up to them; this is playing with the truth. God condemns such people, the Holy Spirit will no longer work on them, and they have walked their path to a dead end. Therefore, a person’s attitude toward the truth determines the path they take. Can we say this? (Yes.) If a leader or worker sees that someone pursues the truth and is better than they are, and they say, “This person acts according to the principles. They do not consider their own interests, or their own reputation and pride. They are someone who practices the truth and upholds the principles, and they are exactly the kind of person God likes! This person is better than me; I must promote them and recommend them to the higher-level leaders!” They help, recommend, and promote good people who pursue the truth. Such a leader or worker is an honest and upright person. As for antichrists and false leaders, what is their attitude toward people who pursue the truth? They exclude and belittle them, and may even attack and suppress them. So why do antichrists and false leaders exclude and suppress people who pursue the truth? (They are afraid that people who pursue the truth will threaten their own prestige and status.) If a person who pursues the truth becomes a leader or worker, then because they understand the truth and have love for others, God’s chosen people will all willingly draw near to them and will look to them to resolve whatever problems they have. Then no one will pay attention to the antichrists and false leaders, and they will be revealed and eliminated. That’s why they view people who pursue the truth as a thorn in their side and exclude, belittle, and suppress them. Are such people not evil people? Antichrists are capable of doing such things—this is doing evil. Bullying guileless and honest people in the church, and excluding and suppressing people who pursue the truth—these are the greatest evil deeds, even more serious than murder and arson! The most evil people in the church do precisely these things. Therefore, if you see someone excluding and suppressing people who pursue the truth, you must quickly pay attention and try to understand them to see why they are doing this. They are very likely to be an evil person, and if they are a leader or worker, they are definitely an antichrist. Antichrists are exposed through the things they do. If you do not quickly question, investigate, and verify, and if you do not expose them, they will become a menace if they remain in the church. If one day they come to power and have the final say in the church, they will establish an independent kingdom. This is how antichrists are revealed. Remember, the moment you discover anyone in the church excluding and suppressing people who pursue the truth, you must quickly expose them. This is safeguarding the church’s work. If someone identifies an antichrist or a false leader but does not expose them for fear of offending them, then in God’s eyes, they are collaborating with Satan—they are an accomplice of Satan. God loathes them, and will eliminate them. Some people say, “They haven’t helped the antichrists do anything, nor have they collaborated with the antichrists, so why would God loathe and eliminate them?” It is because, in God’s eyes, they are collaborating with Satan. They do not dare to offend the antichrists, and they steer clear when they see them. To preserve themselves, they turn a blind eye no matter how the antichrists disturb the church’s work and no matter how they exclude and suppress people who pursue the truth. By indulging and currying favor with antichrists in this way, they have sought refuge with Satan and betrayed God. All those in the church who act as people pleasers and do not offend or expose evil people and antichrists, and all those who steer clear when they see negative figures, or even curry favor with antichrists, are accomplices of Satan. To put it seriously, these people are the accomplices and protectors of antichrists. Is it an exaggeration to say this? (No, it is not.) Are such people detestable? (They are.) If leaders and workers at all levels want to lead God’s chosen people in the church onto the right track of believing in God, what work must they do? First, they must lead God’s chosen people to eat and drink God’s words and fellowship on the truth, and they must not allow anyone to disrupt or disturb church life. Second, any antichrists, evil people, and disbelievers who disturb church life must be restricted. When these two aspects of work are done well, a good church life will emerge. If church life in any church is not good, there are definitely problems in that church. What are the main problems? First, the leaders and deacons of the church do not know how to lead God’s chosen people to eat and drink God’s words. They themselves do not walk the right path; they do not like to eat and drink God’s words, and they only like to do external things. They focus on entertainment; they like singing, dancing, and having mindless fun. This is how some leaders and deacons who do not pursue the truth do things. After working for a period of time, they end up turning the church into an entertainment venue. Second, there are antichrists, evil people, and disbelievers disrupting and disturbing the church, and the brothers and sisters lack discernment and even follow them. As a result, normal church life disappears, and the church becomes an independent kingdom in which antichrists and evil people hold power. Remember, wherever church life is not good, this is, for one thing, because the leaders and workers themselves do not walk the right path, and for another, because there are antichrists, evil people, and disbelievers causing disturbances. These are the two main problems underlying poor results in church life. Once these two problems are resolved, a good church life will emerge. Then how should such antichrists, evil people, and disbelievers be handled? You cannot condemn them directly, otherwise they will cause even greater disturbances. In such situations, leaders and workers must use wisdom to resolve the issue. Gather those who love the truth together, and gather those who do not love the truth and only like to do external things and cause mindless commotions together, and have them hold gatherings in two separate groups. Let them walk their separate paths and not have anything further to do with each other. What do you think of this method? (It is good.) This is exactly how Chinese churches overseas are divided into different groups and churches. Chinese churches are divided into four kinds of churches: full-time duty churches, part-time duty churches, ordinary churches, and B group churches, with the first three belonging to the A group. Is there a basis in God’s words for God’s house dividing churches into these four kinds? God’s words mention that in the last days, all people will be sorted according to their kind, and this is one form of that. Those who always do evil and always disrupt and disturb are assigned to B groups, while those who sincerely believe in God and can normally attend gatherings and do their duty are all in A groups. Some people say, “I don’t want to be in a B group. Can I be assigned to an ordinary church?” If they can truly manage not to disturb church life, they can be allowed into an ordinary church. However, such people are often unable to keep themselves from causing disturbances, because their essence is that of an evil person. They feel uneasy and uncomfortable in their hearts if they are not doing things that cause disturbances, so they can only be placed in a B group. In some churches, there is always a group of people who are unwilling to eat and drink God’s words, and they constantly cause disturbances whenever God’s words are eaten and drunk in gatherings. In that case, you must quickly separate such people into their own group and let them do whatever they want to do. Put those who are willing to eat and drink God’s words, pursue the truth, and engage in their proper work into a different group, where they can live church life. In this way, they will not affect each other—they will no longer have anything to do with each other. Is it good to divide gathering groups in this way? (Yes.) If leaders and workers can divide churches and gathering groups in this way, the results of church life will surely get better and better. Leaders and workers like this are up to standard.
Let’s end our gathering here for today. Goodbye! (Goodbye, brother!)
