How Leaders and Workers Should Do Church Work (3)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – January 5, 2026 (Part Two)
Do you now have a path by which to do the fundamental work of watering the church well? First, you must experience God’s work properly. When you experience God’s work to the point of having true knowledge of God, and to the point where you also know your corrupt disposition and nature essence, it will be easy for you to lead God’s chosen people into the truth reality. If a person has no experience of God’s work at all, meaning they have never experienced the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, nor have they been pruned, can such a person act as a leader to bring God’s chosen people into the truth reality? (No, because they have no life experience.) What is meant by life experience? (This refers to the process by which a person achieves a true change in their corrupt disposition by experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words. This is life experience.) Life experience is when a person, by experiencing God’s work and understanding the truth, gains true knowledge of their corrupt disposition and nature essence, gains true knowledge of God, and finally becomes able to cast off their corrupt disposition, practice the truth, submit to God, shoulder God’s commission and bear resounding testimony for God. When a person experiences God’s work and attains such results, they have thus gained life experience, and they have thus fully entered into the truth reality. When a person can enter into the truth reality, their spiritual life can grow. You can know God, fear God, submit to God, and worship God, and you have become such a person. These are all results achieved by experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words. Without such life experience, these results cannot be achieved. Tell me, can a person who does not know themselves at all live out the truth reality? (No.) Does a person who does not know themselves at all have life experience? (No.) However, there are many people who, despite being able to speak very well on spiritual theories that seem perfectly correct on a literal level, have a critical problem: They do not speak of knowing themselves at all. They do not talk at all about the corrupt dispositions they have, how much rebelliousness they have within them, how many despicable intentions and purposes they have, or what rebellious things they may do against God. They do not talk about these things at all, and instead they hide them in their hearts as secrets and do not open up to anyone. Tell me, if such a person becomes a leader and preaches every day like a religious pastor, full of words and doctrines, what will the consequences of this be? Will they be able to bring people before God? (No, they will bring people before themselves.) They bring people before themselves, and in this they are just like Paul. Paul brought those who believed in the Lord Jesus before himself. He never exalted or testified to the Lord Jesus, much less did he propagate or testify to the words of the Lord Jesus. Instead, he constantly showed off and testified to himself to make people look up to and worship him, vainly hoping to take the place of the Lord Jesus in people’s hearts. He even said, “For to me to live is christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). What he meant by this was, “The Lord Jesus you believe in has ascended to heaven, and now the one preaching and working on earth is me, Paul. It is enough for you to believe in me.” Was this not what Paul meant? (It was.) This led people to look up to and worship him, and he brought people before himself instead of before God. This is the consequence of an antichrist leading people. So what is the main piece of evidence that proves Paul was an antichrist? (He only testified to himself and never exalted or testified to God.) What is the specific factual basis that Paul only testified to himself and not to God? (He never propagated or testified to the words of the Lord Jesus.) Although Paul believed in the Lord Jesus, did he propagate a single word spoken by the Lord Jesus in his epistles? (No.) He only proclaimed the name “Lord Jesus”—the two words “Lord Jesus”— but he never propagated the words spoken by the Lord Jesus. So, in the records of the New Testament, which apostles propagated the words of the Lord Jesus? The authors of the four Gospels and Peter did. As for the words of the other apostles, since they are not recorded in the Bible, we do not know. But the Bible records so many epistles written by Paul to the churches, yet there is not a single sentence in them propagating the words spoken by the Lord Jesus. Paul never said, “The Lord Jesus once said such-and-such, and we should accept these words spoken by the Lord Jesus into our hearts and ponder them carefully, so as to know from them that the Lord Jesus is the one and only true God.” There is nothing like this in Paul’s epistles. Even if you read Paul’s epistles dozens or hundreds of times, you will not find him propagating or testifying to a single word spoken by the Lord Jesus, much less find him quoting a single word spoken by the Lord Jesus. Tell me, is this a serious problem? How serious is it? (It is directly resisting God and being an enemy of God.) Paul never propagated the words of the Lord Jesus, which shows that the words spoken and the work done by the Lord Jesus held no place in Paul’s heart. It can also be said that the Lord Jesus had no place in Paul’s heart. Paul never propagated the words of the Lord Jesus, nor did he have any true testimony of experiencing the Lord Jesus’ words, so did he have any knowledge of the Lord Jesus? (No.) Paul did not know the Lord Jesus at all, so was his exaltation of the Lord Jesus’ name sincere? (No, he proclaimed the Lord’s name in words alone. He was a hypocrite.) He was misleading people under the pretense of exalting the name of the Lord Jesus. Because the Lord Jesus appeared to him with a great light from heaven and struck him down, he did not dare to deny the name of the Lord Jesus, but he had no knowledge of the Lord Jesus’ divine essence, nor of the words spoken or the work done by the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus held no place in his heart whatsoever, and this was a serious problem. It is certain that people who do not know God will betray and resist God. Then do those who now believe in Almighty God know God? On what basis do most people believe in God? They accept Almighty God based on the testimony of God’s words to the name of Almighty God. But if people do not accept, experience, or practice all the truths expressed by Almighty God, can they come to know Almighty God? They cannot. Then on what basis do you say you believe in and accept Almighty God? Do you have any testimony? You say you serve Almighty God, but how exactly do you serve Almighty God? Can you come to be of one heart and mind with Christ? Do you have a path of practice by which to come to be of one heart and mind with Christ? If you have no path, are you not just speaking empty words? (Yes.) Then what is the path of practice by which to achieve these results? It is to put effort into Almighty God’s words. You must realize that Almighty God’s words are the truth and man’s life reality. When you come to understand the truth and live out the reality of God’s words, you will no longer have any notions, barriers, or rebelliousness toward God in your heart, and your heart will be compatible with God. You will come to be of one heart and mind with Christ, and in this way, you will be gained by God. Paul wrote so many epistles but never mentioned the words spoken by the Lord Jesus, nor his experiential understanding of the Lord Jesus’ words. What is the nature of this problem? He was testifying to himself, exalting himself, and showing off. Is this not true? (It is.) Paul only nominally believed in the Lord Jesus, but he never testified that the words spoken by the Lord Jesus are the truth. He never paid any mind to, propagated, or testified to the Lord Jesus’ words, nor did he ever accept, experience, or practice them. In his heart he rejected the words of the Lord Jesus. So tell me, was he not hostile to the Lord Jesus in his heart? (Yes.) Therefore, Paul was a person who served the Lord but resisted Him. He could not reconcile himself with the Lord Jesus. His ultimate goal in believing in the Lord Jesus was to replace the Lord Jesus, so that people would all come to believe in him, follow him, and read his words. Paul had the ambitions of a wolf! He was utterly malicious and insidious! He was a malicious wolf! These were his true colors. But can the people of the religious world recognize Paul’s true colors? None of them can. No matter how many years they have believed in the Lord, even after a lifetime of faith, they cannot see Paul’s true colors. What is the issue here? (Religious people have not gained the truth.) If people do not understand the truth, they have no discernment. This proves that people cannot gain the truth and life just by reading the Bible. The words of God in the Bible are very limited. By reading those few words, people can at most come to believe in God’s existence, but they cannot achieve knowledge of God’s disposition or have a God-fearing heart. This is unless they are people of exceptional conscience and reason, who might develop a little fear of God upon seeing people in the Bible being punished for resisting God, or learn something from the accounts of Abraham and Job. But such people are few and far between, and in reality, there are almost none. Therefore, if the people of the religious world do not accept God’s work of the last days and the truths expressed by God in the last days, and just cling to those few words in the Bible, then none of them will be able to understand the truth, gain true discernment, develop a true God-fearing heart, or bear resounding testimony for God. This is a fact.
Tell me, given that Abraham and Job were born in the Age of Law and didn’t understand many truths, how was it that they were able to bear powerful and resounding testimony for God? Because their humanity was great! Their humanity is an exemplary representation of normal humanity. They possessed conscience and reason, and they acknowledged God’s existence innately. Even though they didn’t understand many truths, they possessed God-fearing hearts. Many of the words they spoke were testimony, and many of the things they did were also testimony. This is sufficient to prove that they feared God, shunned evil, and submitted to God’s orchestrations and arrangements. Then why do people of the last days need to understand many truths just to be able to practice a little? Why do they become negative and weak as soon as they encounter the slightest difficulty in their duties? When there are no difficulties in their duties and they are accompanied by grace throughout their days, people can bring themselves to do a little. But if difficulties come upon them every day, they become so negative that they collapse and quit. Why is this? It is because people of the last days are deeply corrupted. They fall far short of Abraham and Job, and they fall far short of Noah as well. Tell me, did Noah ever listen to sermons? (No.) Noah didn’t even have the Old Testament, but when God appeared and spoke to him, asking him to build the ark, he shouldered such a great commission as this. Is this something an ordinary person could do? (No.) People all have things they plan to do in their lives. When God asked Noah to build the ark, were the plans he’d initially had for his life not disrupted? (Yes.) Could an average person lay aside their personal plans and accept God’s commission when faced with this? That is not easy to do. But Noah was able to accept such a great commission as this from God, and he even gave up the plans he had for his life and chose to submit to God and heed God’s words. What do you think of Noah’s submission? (He submitted well.) Did God pay Noah to build the ark? (No.) Did God bless him with more material wealth? (No.) So how was it that Noah was able to persist for one hundred and twenty years until the ark was finished? How did he persist? Building the ark wasn’t like filming a small program testifying to God nowadays, which can be completed in a month or two. That task took one hundred and twenty years of persistence to complete, yet Noah had such great faith to persist. His children and wife must have asked him, “You accepted such a major undertaking as building an ark without even discussing it with the family? If we go build an ark, won’t we have to lay aside all our plans?” What would Noah have said upon hearing this? “God commanded the building of an ark. God has a plan to destroy this wicked and corrupt mankind, and He wants us to hurry up and build an ark to take in all kinds of living creatures. This is God’s commission! If we don’t accept this commission, God will raise up others to do it, and when the time comes, we will be destroyed for not submitting to God.” Would he not say this? (He would.) Tell me, if Noah hadn’t accepted God’s commission, would God have chosen someone else? (Yes.) He certainly would have. Just like when God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt—if Moses hadn’t accepted God’s calling, God would have found someone else, because when God does something, He does not give up until it is accomplished. So when God’s commission came upon Noah, Noah said, “Since God has commanded me to build an ark, I will build an ark. I will lay aside my family life, fleshly enjoyments, and everything else. I will live my life solely to build this ark and complete God’s commission.” This is true faith. Nowadays, after accepting God’s work of the last days, many people want to be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven, but they cannot forsake everything to follow God. When God’s commission comes upon them, they do not accept it, and they come up with various reasons to refuse, saying, “Oh, I can’t go do my duty, I still have to live my life! I have parents, a spouse, and children at home. If I leave to do my duty, who will take care of them?” Others say, “I still want to be an official for a couple of years!” or “I still want to get a degree!” People all have their own plans and arrangements; they are just unwilling to accept God’s commission or to expend themselves for God. Tell me, can such people escape the great catastrophes and survive? (No.) If people do not accept God’s commission and still wish to escape the great catastrophes, they’re dreaming. You must see this matter clearly to have the faith to forsake everything and accept God’s commission. Noah saw this matter clearly. He said, “If I do not accept God’s commission, I will be rejecting and betraying God, and I will be destroyed and punished. That won’t do. I must listen to God’s words and submit to God. I choose to accept God’s commission.” His choice to accept God’s commission was an expression of faith. He was certain in his heart of what the consequences of not accepting God’s commission would be. So Noah acted with great reason, knowing what was to be done. So tell me, how much time do people who have just accepted Almighty God have left to experience God’s work? (Not much time, just a few years.) So why is it that people remain unable to let go of everything they have? Why is it that they remain unable to forsake everything to follow God? It is because people are foolish and cannot see things clearly. Noah persisted for one hundred and twenty years and finally built the ark, completing God’s commission, and only then was he able to escape the disaster of the flood that destroyed the world and survive. If he hadn’t accepted God’s commission and hadn’t built the ark, then he too would have died in that flood. You have accepted Almighty God but cannot forsake everything to follow God—the consequences of this will be unimaginable! Although none of us knows exactly when the great catastrophes that will destroy mankind will come, judging from the state of the world, it is estimated to be within a year or two. Many scientists have discovered that many submarine volcanoes have begun to erupt, and that volcanoes on land are also about to erupt. If all these volcanoes erupt, will the earth not undergo earth-shaking changes? (Yes.) Great earthquakes are also possible. Where will you hide then? If you hide in a cave, the mountains will collapse and crush you. It will be of no use hiding anywhere. Once the great catastrophes that destroy mankind come, they will bring earth-shaking and cataclysmic changes to this world. Yet at this critical juncture, though some people are well aware that there are few opportunities left to experience God’s work, they remain occupied looking for a partner, pursuing a future for their flesh, and indulging in the benefits of status, and they are unwilling to expend themselves for God. These people are unaware of just how little time there is left to pursue the truth. If they do not use what little time remains to pursue the truth, it will be very difficult for them to gain the truth and attain salvation. If they never pursue the truth, in the end, they can only be eliminated! The pursuit of the truth is now an urgent matter. You must seize the opportunity to do your duty, pray to God earnestly, and fully experience God’s work before you can understand and gain the truth. During the process of rehearsing for the variety showcase, God’s chosen people from various countries experienced God’s work and made some gains. They also encountered some difficulties. For example, the weather was bad in some places, and some songs were hard to sing. When facing these difficulties, they also had moments of weakness, saying, “The day of the variety showcase is approaching, yet we are still facing such great difficulties that we can’t solve. When will we be able to finish filming the program?” At such times, they prayed to and relied on God. After they prayed, God acted, their difficulties were resolved, and they soon finished filming the program. In this experience, they experienced that God is truly almighty and practical. Some people said, “Through this experience of God’s work, I feel that Almighty God is the true God, and that Almighty God is the living and real God. When we pray to and rely on God, God works and guides us. God is right beside us watching us. The saying ‘God is watching what people are doing’ is absolutely right.” Others said, “Almighty God is the embodiment of the Spirit of God. Almighty God has expressed so many truths to cleanse and save us from the bondage of sin. I have finally found the true way, and I have truly welcomed the Lord!” Is it precious for people to have such experiential understanding? (It is.) It is quite precious for people to have such experiential understanding. At the very least, they have become certain about Almighty God and no longer have any doubts, and they now have more faith to follow God and expend themselves for God. It is a pity that many people are still pursuing fleshly enjoyment and cannot forsake everything to expend themselves for God. Tell me, can such people have experiential testimony? Is it easy for them to gain the truth? (No.) It is extremely difficult for people to gain the truth if they cannot expend themselves for God.
The first question is, “How can the fundamental work of watering the church be done well?” The person who asked this question has a sense of burden in their duty and wants to do the work entrusted by God well. This is a person of faith. So how can a person do this work well? They must focus on entering into the truth reality. How should they focus specifically? They must focus on experiencing God’s work and reflecting on the corruption they have revealed in their duty each day and in their daily interactions with others. For example, you must reflect on whether there were lies or personal intentions and purposes mixed in with the words you said to others today. When you reflect like this and discover that you really did reveal such corruption, then you must pray to God and seek the truth and come to know why you revealed such corruption and what intentions governed your words. If you have some entry into knowing yourself, and during a gathering, you happen to read a passage of God’s words that relates to your state, you can open up and fellowship, “I revealed such-and-such corruption, I told such-and-such lies, and I had such-and-such intentions when speaking to my brothers and sisters. I have such-and-such problems within me. This is how I disguised myself and deceived others, and this is how I spoke to make people look up to me. I clearly should have said that, but I beat around the bush and only said nice things….” After hearing this, everyone will say, “Hearing you fellowship like this, I too realize that I have this kind of corrupt disposition. I too speak with this intention, and I too lie like this. The experience you shared today is really good. It is an aid and a reminder to me, and it has enabled me to know myself a little.” Tell me, is it good to fellowship like this? (Yes, it is quite practical and can give people a path forward.) When you talk about your experiential understanding like this, brothers and sisters can also know themselves and be edified. This is what it means to lead people into the truth reality. Some people say, “Does leading people into the truth reality just mean opening up about the deceitful disposition you have revealed?” This is only one aspect. In fact, the experiences you can fellowship about are not limited to this one aspect alone; there are many others. For example, when you encounter a difficulty you cannot solve, and through praying, relying on God, and seeking the truth, you find a path of practice and the problem is finally resolved, fellowshipping about this kind of experience also leads people into the truth reality. For another example, when you do things without principle, and after seeking the truth and reading God’s words exposing this aspect of the problem, you realize that you are living entirely by satanic philosophies and doing things based on your own petty schemes and tricks. You gain knowledge of yourself and begin to practice the truth and do things according to principles. Fellowshipping about this kind of experience also leads people into the truth reality. In short, so long as you come to understand the truth by experiencing God’s work, you can open up and fellowship with brothers and sisters about any kind of experiential testimony. This is bearing testimony, and in this way, you can bring people into the truth reality. Tell me, are these experiential testimonies much better than those words contained within Paul’s epistles? (Yes.) Although Paul could talk big when preaching, did he have such experiential testimonies? He did not. Although these testimonies we share seem small and our level of eloquence is not as high as that of those literary figures, God sees these testimonies of ours as good, and He approves of them and is pleased with them. God does not pay attention to how flowery people’s language is or how nice their words sound. Those are all disguises, which God dislikes and detests. God requires people to speak from the heart, to speak in everyday language, and to share real experiential testimonies. If you practice in this way, your practice will meet with God’s approval. So, has the question of “How can the fundamental work of watering the church be done well?” now been resolved? (Yes.) Watering the church means fellowshipping about your true understanding and practical experiences. Never talk big or spout words and doctrines or empty theories; that is the biggest taboo in watering the church. Just speak from the heart and speak truthfully about matters such as how you reflect on yourself, how you know yourself, and how you rely on God to solve problems. If you keep on talking about these practical experiences, you will gradually bring brothers and sisters into the truth reality. What result will this ultimately bring about? Your brothers and sisters will all be able to reflect on and know themselves. If someone realizes that there was adulteration in a sentence they said to someone on a certain day, they will then open up to everyone, “What I said was adulterated. It was a lie. Let me correct it and tell the truth.” Tell me, is it good for people to always open their hearts and talk about knowing themselves like this? (Yes.) Someone once said some things to me, and the next day he came to me to lay himself bare, saying, “What I said to you yesterday was false. Today I will correct it and say it again properly.” I replied, “Your ability to be simple and open and know yourself shows that you have detailed experience. If you focus on experiencing matters and practicing like this, you are guaranteed to become an honest person.” The pursuit of the truth should be practiced in this way. This is what it means to walk the path of pursuing the truth and entering into the truth reality. It is absolutely correct. If those who water the church can bring God’s chosen people onto this path, then their work will yield results, and they will have done their fundamental work well.
