How Leaders and Workers Should Do Church Work (3)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – January 5, 2026 (Part Five)
Question 3: How can people come to be of one heart and mind and cooperate harmoniously with their co-workers in their duty, rather than each person doing things their own way?
Answer: This question involves life entry. If people can truly come to be of one heart and mind and cooperate harmoniously with others, have they not entered into the truth reality? (Yes.) This is entering into the truth reality. If a person says they possess the truth reality, but they cannot be of one heart and mind or cooperate harmoniously with anyone, do they truly possess the truth reality? (No.) Their claim is false. Tell me, can false leaders and antichrists cooperate harmoniously with others? Can people who live by their corrupt dispositions cooperate harmoniously with others? (No.) Once people see these things clearly, will they not be able to see clearly why they cannot cooperate harmoniously with others? (Yes.) The fact that people cannot cooperate harmoniously with others shows that they have corrupt dispositions. If people have corrupt dispositions, can they come to live by conscience and reason? (No.) People who live by corrupt dispositions cannot come to live by conscience and reason, cannot come to speak or act with reason, nor act in a way that others see as appropriate. Consequently, they cannot come to cooperate harmoniously with others. Such are the consequences of living by corrupt dispositions. If people see this matter clearly, they should think of ways to resolve the problem of living by corrupt dispositions. So, how can this problem be resolved? It must be resolved by seeking the truth, accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and achieving true knowledge of oneself. You must know why you cannot cooperate harmoniously with others. Because corrupt mankind is so deeply arrogant and self-righteous that they all regard themselves as better than and superior to others, and they look down on everyone else. They always feel that they are right and want others to listen to them, and if others don’t listen to them, they become dissatisfied. Moreover, most people do not have high requirements for themselves, yet their requirements of others are very high and harsh. This leads to an inability to cooperate harmoniously with others. Is this not a revelation of a corrupt disposition? Is this not caused by an arrogant disposition? (It is.) This corrupt disposition of arrogance controls you, making you look down on everyone else and always feel that you are innately superior to and better than others. Therefore, no matter whom you cooperate with, you always want them to listen to you, do things your way, accept your leadership, and submit to you. As soon as anyone doesn’t listen to you, submit to you, or accept your leadership, you undermine them and stop cooperating with them in your duty. This is a revelation of an arrogant disposition. By wallowing in such a corrupt disposition, people have no way to come to be of one heart and mind with others or cooperate harmoniously with others. Then with whom can they share common ground? With their spouse? (No.) What about with their parents or children? (No.) Living by corrupt dispositions, people have no common ground with anyone and cannot get along with anyone. So, how can these corrupt dispositions be resolved? Doing so requires people to know themselves. A person must recognize that they do not possess the truth reality, that they are filled with and live by corrupt dispositions, that they possess no conscience, reason, or humanity at all, and that they are not a human, but a devil and a Satan. When people truly recognize that they are devils and Satans, won’t it be much better when they next try to cooperate and interact with others? They will say, “This person is superior to me, and that person is better than me. If what others say is correct, I will listen and accept it.” If people have this mentality, will they not pretty much be able to achieve harmonious cooperation? (Yes.) When two people cooperate on a duty, if each person wants the other to listen to them, then harmonious cooperation cannot be achieved. If one party understands the truth and knows themselves, they will be able to listen to the other’s suggestions. They will say, “If what you say is correct, I will listen, and if not, I will not be resistant or oppose you, and instead I will be patient, understanding, and tolerant.” Can harmonious cooperation not be achieved in this way? (Yes.) It can pretty much be achieved in this way. If both people understand the truth and know themselves, and both can rebel against their flesh and submit to the truth, will it not be easier for them to achieve harmonious cooperation? It will. Therefore, resolving the problem of being unable to cooperate harmoniously requires people to seek the truth, accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and achieving knowledge of oneself. Once people can truly know themselves, the problem of being unable to achieve harmonious cooperation will be resolved. So, when you cannot cooperate harmoniously with others and always want them to submit to you, you should reflect on and know yourself: “Why do I demand that others submit to me? What right do I have to demand that others submit to me? Am I not also a devil? Why do I not know my own measure?” If you continue with this kind of reflection, you will be able to achieve true knowledge of yourself. The more you know yourself, the more you will hate yourself, to the point where you could slap your own face. Then, when you cooperate with others again, harmony will come easily. Practicing the truth is actually very simple. If you cannot practice the truth, pray like this, “God, I always demand that others submit to me. I am truly arrogant and lacking in reason. God, I am willing to first learn to submit to others. If what others say is correct and accords with the truth, I will fully submit. If what others say does not accord with the truth, I will not argue with them. If they can accept suggestions, I will fellowship with them; if they cannot, I will be understanding, tolerant, and patient, and I will not oppose them.” If you have such resolve, will you not gradually become able to cooperate harmoniously with others? Tell me, is it simple to practice the truth? (Yes.)
Question 4: Some church leaders are unwilling to cultivate new believers. They always say that new believers are too small in stature and that they are unwilling to perform their duties. Although they agree to cultivate certain new believers, before long they start coming out with excuses to refuse this task, leaving the church with no one to cultivate for a long time. How should we fellowship with them to advance the work of cultivating people?
Answer: Regarding how to do the work of cultivating people, first you must clearly discern who can be cultivated and who cannot, who can be easily cultivated to achieve results and who will not achieve results even if cultivated. After discerning these things clearly, look at the areas in which these people are suitable to be cultivated, and then fellowship the relevant truths with them to help them perform that duty. If someone is suited to preach the gospel, we should first fellowship the truths regarding visions with them, so that they understand the truths of visions clearly and know why people should believe in Almighty God, perform their duties, and propagate and testify to Almighty God’s work of the last days. They will thus have a sense of burden for the duty of preaching the gospel. If they are not clear on the truth and do not understand the significance of performing a duty, and you just make them listen to you and go preach the gospel, then no matter what you say, you will not achieve any results, because there will be resistance in their hearts. If they are not clear on the truth, their thoughts and views will be different from those who actively perform their duties, and the paths they choose will also be different. They won’t even be able to find any common ground with others, so there will be no way to come to be of one heart and mind with them in their duties. Therefore, to cultivate people, you must first fellowship the truth so that everyone achieves unity in their comprehension and knowledge of the truth. In this way, when they perform their duties, there will be shared thoughts, views, principles, and paths. In addition, although some people pursue the truth, if you do not cultivate them or fellowship the truth principles with them, will they be able to perform their duties? They won’t even know what duty they should perform. Even if they do perform a duty, without grasping the truth principles and still being prone to acting recklessly according to their own will, will they be able to perform their duty well? (No.) No matter what duty people perform, they must undergo training. If they are not trained and do not grasp the relevant truth principles and professional skills, it is certain that they will not achieve results. Therefore, in cultivating people, it is extremely important to first water them well with the truth.
So, how should you water these people with the truth? You should water them with the truths relevant to the type of duty they are suited to. If someone is suitable to be cultivated as a leader or a worker, you should water them with the truth principles that relate to the performance of church work, so that they understand these truth principles clearly and can do church work with a sense of burden and a path forward. If a person is suited to be cultivated to preach the gospel, you should start by watering them with the truths regarding visions, so that they understand the truths of visions clearly and the significance of preaching the gospel and testifying to God. In this way, they will gain a sense of burden for preaching the gospel and they will be willing to perform this duty. On this basis, if you then water them with some of the truths required for the preaching of the gospel, they will have a path forward in this duty and they will be able to achieve results. When people understand the truth clearly, they will have strength and produce results in their duties. The truth is people’s life, the truth is people’s strength, and the truth is people’s path forward. You must never forget this. If people do not understand the truth, demanding that they perform a duty will not achieve results, because they lack the necessary resolve and stature. Tell me, why is it that people are able to believe in Almighty God? It is because they have discovered that all of Almighty God’s words are the truth, and that only the truth can save people. That is why they believe. However, when people first start believing, they merely acknowledge that Almighty God’s words are the truth, but they do not yet understand much of the truth. If you demand that they perform a duty at this time, they will not be able to do it. The little bit of truth they understand is enough to enable them to accept Almighty God and not deny God, and this is already quite good. If you also want them to perform a duty willingly and to perform it well, you are asking too much of them. Therefore, if you want to cultivate people, you need to water them more, fellowship the truth with them, and enable them to understand more detailed truths. In this way, they will have a path by which to perform their duty. Tell me, can people serve God if they do not understand the truth? Can they serve God without life entry? Can they serve God without knowing themselves? Can they serve God without true changes in their corrupt dispositions? (No.) There are many people in the religious world who serve God yet resist Him. What causes this? This happens because they do not know themselves, their life disposition has not changed at all, and they do all their work based on corrupt dispositions. Therefore, they all serve God and yet resist Him. Once you see this matter clearly, you will be clear on how to cultivate people. The key to cultivating people is to enable them to understand the truth. Once people understand the truth, they will have faith to perform their duties. They will feel, “There isn’t much time left to perform my duty. I must consider God’s intentions, forsake everything, and give my all to expend myself for God!” This is what is achieved when people understand the truth. No difficulty can stop them; they don’t even fear death, and they are capable of risking their lives to expend themselves for God. Look at the protagonist of My Belated Testimony. When he was first arrested, he couldn’t endure the torture he faced and became weak, and he failed to stand firm in his testimony. For this reason, he spent ten years equipping himself with the truth. Later, when he went to preach the gospel with a brother, some religious people called the police to have them arrested. Though his brother wanted to run, the protagonist did not. Afterward, when the police interrogated him, he had the courage to refute them and expose the wicked essence of the Communist Party. How was it that he had the courage to do this? It was because he had spent ten years equipping himself with the truth. He was prepared to risk his life to bear testimony for God to make up for his debt to God. He came prepared. He had been waiting for this very day. Without those ten years of preparation, would he have had the courage to do this? (No.) Why was it that his brother was afraid and wanted to run? Was it not because he lacked stature and feared death? The protagonist would rather be martyred than compromise with the great red dragon. This was the truth becoming his life, which is to say the words became faith, and the words became life. Therefore, the truth is strength, and the truth is life. If you fellowship the truth clearly, people will be willing to give their all to expend themselves for God.
This question also mentions that some leaders and workers are unwilling to cultivate new believers. How should this issue be resolved? It must be resolved through fellowshipping the truth. You must first have the leaders and workers understand why they should cultivate new believers. If we do not cultivate new believers, will they not progress slowly? If we do not cultivate them or fellowship the truth clearly with them, will they forsake everything to expend themselves for God? If they rely only on themselves in their faith, perhaps they will have to believe for eight, ten, or even twenty years before they can forsake everything. In that case, when will they be able to gain the truth? Is this not delaying and ruining them? Time waits for no one now, so let’s not do things that harm people. Therefore, if you want leaders and workers to consider God’s intentions and do their utmost in the work of cultivating people, you must fellowship the truth in this regard clearly, making them understand the significance of cultivating people, and that not cultivating talented people delays and hinders the work of God’s house. Once they truly understand these things, they will be willing to put effort into cultivating people. In reality, no matter what the duty is, if people are not clear on the truth, they will have no sense of burden in performing it. People are very energetic when acting for the sake of the flesh, but they have no energy at all when doing things for God. It is as if they have smoked opium—they’re all groggy and weak. When they encounter a little difficulty, they complain about hardship and stop performing their duty. This shows that they do not understand the truth and that they lack stature. So how can this problem be resolved? God’s chosen people who participated in filming this year’s New Year variety showcase have experience in this regard. When they encountered difficulties, they prayed constantly. Some said, “God, singing hymns is too hard. I’m old and can’t learn. Please guide me.” Others said, “God, the weather is too bad today and we can’t do any filming for the program. Please help us.” When they encountered difficulties, they prayed to God like this, and God acted, and they found that their difficulties were resolved. “I woke up and suddenly everything was straightened out! I suddenly knew how to sing this song. What happened? God’s deeds are truly wondrous!” “Not long after we prayed, the sky cleared up and we could film. God is truly almighty! God holds sovereignty over everything! Everything is in God’s hands! We prayed and relied on God, and God acted immediately.” Some brothers and sisters said things like, “God is right beside us! Although I didn’t see God with my eyes, I saw God act. I truly felt God right beside us so clearly and plainly! I am so honored to be able to follow Almighty God! What a joy it is! I haven’t lived this life of mine in vain!” Why could they say this? Because they truly experienced God’s deeds. Tell me, were their gains from performing this duty great? (Yes.) What did they gain? They saw that Almighty God is the true God, the incarnate flesh of the Creator, living vividly among people. No matter in which country God’s chosen people perform their duties, or in which country they pray to and rely on God, they can all see God acting and they can all feel that God is by their side. Is this gain something people can attain just by listening to sermons? (No.) People cannot gain these things just by listening to sermons. No matter how long people listen, they won’t gain these things. Only by actually encountering difficulties in the performance of their duties, and by actually praying to and relying on God, can people experience the work of the Holy Spirit and make these gains. Tell me, is it important to perform a duty? (Yes.) If people focus on praying to and relying on God, and on experiencing God’s work while performing their duties, they can see how the Holy Spirit acts and feel that God is right beside them, allowing them to personally experience this clearly and plainly. Just as when Job heard God speak, what did he say? “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees You” (Job 42:5). Did Job’s eyes really see God? No, they didn’t. He only heard God speaking in the whirlwind, yet said he saw God with his own eyes. Is this accurate? (Yes.) Does hearing God’s words not equate to seeing God? Job saw God not with his eyes, but with his heart. When a person’s ears hear God’s words, their heart sees God, and their heart is face-to-face with God. This understanding is so accurate. In many matters within your duty, by praying to God and experiencing God’s work, you can personally experience that Almighty God is the true God. This is absolutely true. Therefore, the gains made from the performance of one’s duty are immense. No matter how long you perform your duty, be it a few days or a few months, as long as you pray to God, experience God’s work, see God acting, and see God appear to you, you will have gained knowledge of God. If people can make such great gains through their duties, will they not develop true faith in God? (Yes.) If they did not perform their duty, could they have such experiential gains? Could they have such appreciation and knowledge? Could they develop faith? (No.) Such gains only come about from the performance of duty. Although it may seem that we don’t earn money by performing our duties, in reality, we gain both true knowledge of God and true faith in Him. Do you know how great a blessing these gains can bring you? You can obtain both the truth and hope of attaining salvation! What price could you put on such a blessing? (Such a blessing is priceless.) But you can gain this blessing by performing your duty in God’s house. People gain it by praying to and relying on God and by experiencing God’s work in the course of their duties. This is how the Holy Spirit works. Can people gain this blessing without performing a duty? (No.) Therefore, leaders and workers should water and cultivate new believers properly, enabling them to put down roots in the true way as soon as possible, understand the truth, and perform their duties. If you find someone of good caliber who is particularly enlightened when listening to God’s words, who understands whatever you fellowship, and who comprehends the truth quickly, then this is one of God’s sheep. You must focus on watering and cultivating them, and once they understand the truth, they will soon be able to perform a duty. If there are people who, no matter how you fellowship the truth, cannot comprehend it and have no reaction to it, and they even get confused and sleepy if you fellowship too much, then it’s hard to say whether they are God’s sheep. Such people should not be the focus of watering. However, we shouldn’t pass verdicts on them either; after all, what if they wake up later and pursue the truth? This is entirely possible. In short, if you see new believers who are particularly energetic in their belief in God and focus on striving for the truth, you should water them properly to enable them to understand the truth. Whatever strengths they have and whatever duty they are suitable for, we should cultivate them to perform that kind of duty. Some people have relatively good spiritual understanding and pure comprehension of God’s words, can share practical knowledge, and are very good at reflecting on and knowing themselves. Such people are suited to be cultivated as leaders and workers. If they can know themselves, they will have true repentance, and knowing themselves to a certain depth can bring about a change in their life disposition. Such people can be greatly blessed by God. God bestows the truth and life upon them, and they can bear testimony for God and guide people into the truth reality. Therefore, those who know themselves deeply enough are the best candidates to be leaders and workers. Such people are the most talented. Some people are born eloquent and have a way with words, so people like this can be cultivated to preach the gospel and share testimony. Some people, although awkward with words, are not sloppy in their work at all and have a knack for whatever they turn their hand to. People like this are suited to handle the general affairs of the church. Some people understand the law and government regulations, and have a particular knack for external affairs. People like this are suited for external affairs work. Can you evaluate people in this way? (Yes.) If you can evaluate people this way, you will have a path by which to cultivate people. Cultivating people means cultivating them in the kind of duty they are suited to perform in God’s house based on their strengths. Then, if some people are always thinking about finding a partner, can they be cultivated? (No, if they’re always thinking about finding a partner then they’re neglecting their proper tasks.) The Lord Jesus said: “And woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!” (Matthew 24:19). Although dating is not a sin, it delays people’s growth in life and their attainment of salvation and perfection. Is this not a woe? Being able to welcome the Lord and accept Almighty God’s work in the last days is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If, because of a person’s efforts to find a partner, they have no mind to pursue the truth or perform their duty, and they ultimately fail to gain the truth or attain salvation, then they are ruining their future and beautiful destination. This is a woe. If you find that some people understand all the truths but are always thinking about finding a partner, will you still fellowship the truth with them to help them? (No, I won’t help them, I’ll let them make their own decision.) That’s right. If such people understand everything but just don’t practice the truth, then no one can help them.
