So, how do we now know Almighty God? You first have to see if the Spirit of Almighty God and the Spirit of the Lord Jesus are one and the same. Some say, “How can we see this? We haven’t seen the Spirit of the Lord Jesus, we haven’t even seen the face of the Lord Jesus, and we haven’t seen the Spirit of Almighty God either. One is Asian, and One is an Israelite, so we cannot discern this.” So how are we to figure this out? We must look at whether the truths They express, the work They do, and the dispositions They reveal are the essence and disposition of God, and whether the truths They express are expressed by one Spirit. If you see this matter accurately, you will know that Almighty God is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus returned, that the Spirit of Almighty God and the Spirit of the Lord Jesus are one Spirit, and that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned. What do you think of knowing Almighty God in this way? Is it appropriate? (It is.) But the religious world does not acknowledge this. They say, “Almighty God is Chinese, has the image of an ordinary person, and is not a Jew. If He had the appearance of a Jew, perhaps we could believe in Him.” Is this not absurd? They always look at appearances and at what country the incarnate God is from. This is utterly absurd! Did you see the Lord Jesus when He became incarnate and appeared to do His work two thousand years ago? Did you know Him? No one did. Even if you had followed Jesus at that time, you would not have known Him. To know God, you must look at the Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord Jesus has a righteous essence, and the truths expressed by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus have truly great authority. These are not words that a thirty-year-old could come forth with, and even if one lived to be eighty, they would still be unable to bring them forth. These words have truly great authority and power, they come from God, and they are the expression of God. In the last days, Almighty God has come. When He first began to express the truth, He was about twenty years old. At about twenty years old, He had no experience of the world, so how could He express such profound truths? This is the expression of the Spirit of God. Almighty God had not attended university, nor had He studied the Bible. Before graduating from high school, He came to believe in God, and not long after coming to believe in God, He began expressing the truth. Up to now, seven volumes of The Word Appears in the Flesh have been expressed. Tell me, is this not the greatest sign and wonder? (It is.) Then, where do you think these words He has expressed have come from? (They are direct utterances of the Spirit of God.) How was somebody so young, able to speak such profound words of truth? Is this not highly supernatural? Some people say, “We have known this person for a long time. This person is from such-and-such a place, and He has not been to university. How could He write such words?” This is a miracle. When I first read the words expressed by God, “Chapter 1,” “Chapter 2,” and “Chapter 3,” I immediately thought, “These are not words that a human can come out with. These are the utterances of the Holy Spirit, the revelation of the Holy Spirit!” Then I told God—at that time, I did not call Him God, but Sister—and I said, “If You have any more revelations within You, You should write them down,” and He said yes. I saw that these words had authority and power, that they came from the Holy Spirit, and that these were the utterances of the Holy Spirit, so I had people quickly spread them. We used carbon paper, and so we could make four or five copies at a time. After making these copies, we would pass them on to the churches, and this is how they came to be distributed. Eventually, these writings came to be printed as a book, and I gave this book the title “The Utterances of the Holy Spirit.” At the time, I thought that these were the words revealed to a person by the Holy Spirit. Tell me, could anyone back then know God? People did not know God. Later, God spoke more and more, and in 1993, God disclosed the mystery of the incarnation. When I read it, I thought, “Oh my, so the One who is expressing these words is the incarnate God. I thought these were words revealed to a person by the Holy Spirit. We truly did not know God! Were we not blind?” We all prostrated ourselves on the ground and wept bitterly with remorse, and we all prayed to God, “Oh God, we have been so blind! We have resisted You, we have been truly rebellious, and we have treated You as merely a sister with a special function. Oh God, we accept Your judgment and chastisement. Punish us however You will.” This was the first time that people who had accepted Almighty God repented. At that time, those who accepted God’s new work were people who came along with this stream. It wasn’t that they knew God, so they revealed a lot of rebelliousness and corruption. I was the same, for we are all of corrupt mankind, and I did not know God. I even gave God’s words the title “The Utterances of the Holy Spirit.” Now, when I recall this matter, tell me, is it not shameful? (It is.) At that time, I, an arrogant person, lowered my proud head and prostrated myself before God to confess my sins. These things are all in the songs I have written. At that time, I was the initial leader of this stream. God appeared and worked in the churches I was leading, and began to speak. At that time, He was probably 18 or 19, at most 20, and I treated Him as an ordinary sister. Tell me, was I not completely blind? (Yes.)

God has spoken so many words and expressed so many truths. It can be said that the words of the work of judgment in the last days have almost all been spoken, and that this work is nearing its end. When God’s expressed words reached Volume 6 of The Word Appears in the Flesh, God began to specifically express words concerning the pursuit of the truth. God told me that from then on, He would formally begin to do some of the work of perfecting man, specifically expressing this aspect of the truth to do the work of perfecting man. I was very happy. This was great! God has begun the work of perfecting man, to perfect this group of people. For all those who love the truth, if they accept God’s words, they can thus be perfected, and they can gain the truth and enter into all realities. Immediately after, God expressed the truth, one chapter after another. Volume 6 was compiled into a book, and Volume 7 is about to be printed. It is still about pursuing the truth, and Volume 8 will also be about pursuing the truth. These words concerning the pursuit of the truth expressed by God are to lead people into all truths, to expose all of people’s difficulties, all of their notions, all of their fallacious viewpoints, and all of their hindrances in pursuing the truth, so that people may know these things. After coming to know these things, they resolve these problems, and finally they abandon them, and then enter the truth realities. These words pave the way for people to enter the truth realities. This is what God has been doing, and is the work of perfecting man that God is doing now. These words expressed by God in doing the work of perfecting man are so important! Some people will ask, “Why are these words so important?” I will tell you one thing. Most of God’s chosen people are educated, and in particular, some of them have been to university, have read many famous works, and are cultured people. Tell me, what harmful effects can the accumulation of so much knowledge and culture within a person produce? What difficulties and hindrances can it bring to people’s pursuit of the truth? Can you see through this matter? No one can. The things of traditional culture within people, especially the notions, imaginings, and views left over from their ancestors, are deeply rooted in their hearts. What is the consequence of this? These things, being implanted in people, dominate their minds, and become the foundation of their survival on earth, their philosophies for worldly dealings, and their life. So, given that these things have become people’s life, they bring great difficulties and hindrances to their pursuit of and entry into the truth; is this not a fact? (It is.) If God had not expressed so many truths, could you have come to know the harm that traditional culture brings to people? In this world, you have accumulated so much culture and knowledge within you, and in regard to that which reigns within you, that which can dominate and control you, you cannot see through to whether it is the truth or something fallacious. None of us can. When we cannot see through to it, it is only when God exposes all these things of Satan that reside within people that we can come to know them, cast them off, and abandon them. This is the most practical work of saving man that God is doing. Is that not so? (It is.) Many believers in God may say, “God’s words are the truth, and I am willing to accept them,” but just because they are willing to accept the truth, does it mean that they can really accept it and see real changes? (No.) Who among those who believe in God is not willing to accept the truth? Even the muddled believers of the religious world are willing to accept it, but being willing doesn’t mean they can accept the truth, right? (Right.) It’s just like this: Who among people is not willing to live a good life? Who is not willing to dress and eat well? Everyone is willing, but can they all achieve these things? Real-life situations do not permit it, so most people cannot achieve it. So what should be done if they cannot achieve it? They must strive. This striving requires the expenditure of a lot of energy, a lot of suffering and the payment of a great price. This is the life of nonbelievers. In the end, after toiling for so many years for the life of the flesh, they have gained nothing, and only then do they see that the human world is empty, and that no matter how one lives, it is empty! Who can escape a life of emptiness? No one can. Even if you know it is empty, you still have to live this way. So can you find a rope and hang yourself? This requires God’s salvation, does it not? (It does.) Then how does God save people? God sees that people are willing to accept the truth in their hearts, but they are only willing and cannot actually do it. God knows our difficulties, so God exposes all of people’s difficulties, all of their hindrances, and all of their rebelliousness and resistance in accepting the truth. He lays them out before you one by one, telling you what this thing is, what satanic poison this is, what harm it can bring to you, and that if you do not know it or cast it off, you will not be able to accept the truth. Because these things have long since entered your heart and become your master, and have become your life and turned into your nature, you must cast off all these things and accept God’s words and the truth into you. This is what is meant by being reborn, and it is also what is meant by becoming a new person. Accepting the truth and becoming a new person is the beginning of repentance. In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus said: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Everyone is willing to repent, but how is one to repent? You do not know how to repent. You say, “I confess my sins to the Lord.” Can you truly repent by confessing your sins to the Lord? You cannot. Some people say, “How can one be unable to repent after confessing their sins?” What difference does it make if you confess the little sins you have committed? The precious blood of the Lord Jesus has forgiven your sins, but can you abandon and resolve your sinful nature, the very root of your sinning? If your sinful nature is not resolved, you will be like the Pharisees, believing in the Lord but still resisting Him, believing in the Lord but still nailing the Messiah who expresses the truth to the cross. You have confessed your sins and they have been forgiven, so why do you still do such things? How can you still be hostile to God? This shows that you cannot resolve your sinful nature inside you on your own. If this nature is not resolved, your repentance is also superficial, just for show, disguised, and deceptive. Is that not so? (It is.) Have you truly seen through to this matter? You say you have, but you may not have seen through to it. What is the sinful nature within man composed of? (Satanic corrupt dispositions, as well as traditional culture and fallacious thoughts and views.) That is, the knowledge and culture you have accumulated over so many years, as well as the heritage of your ancestors, all kinds of satanic philosophies, and satanic thoughts and viewpoints, after entering your heart, have combined to form a life, and this life is your satanic nature. Is that not so? (It is.) Then when you confess your sins to God, are you confessing the sin of this nature? What you confess is only some of the behavioral manifestations revealed by this nature. You do not know this nature. Some people say, “After I pray to the Lord and confess my sins, my heart feels relieved and at peace, as if it has been emptied, and I enjoy God’s presence and the joy and peace bestowed by the Holy Spirit.” But after you have enjoyed these things, you still live as before. Before, you judged and hated people; now, you still judge and hate people. Before, you loved money and pursued status; now, you are still the same. Before, you lived by your philosophies for worldly dealings and your corrupt disposition; now, you are still the same. Is this repentance? (No.) When you see someone who does better than you and is of a higher status than you, you can become envious and jealous, hate them, and strike at, judge, and belittle them. If you had power, you would clear them out and expel them. Do you believe this? (Yes.) You would put someone who is better than you to death. Is this not something more serious than sin? This satanic nature of yours is truly serious! When you confess your sins to the Lord, you only confess some of the facts of your sinning, but have you confessed your satanic nature? You have not. You do not have knowledge of your satanic nature, so if you were to say that you have truly repented, would this statement be valid? (It wouldn’t.) It is a deception. Therefore, could true repentance have been achieved in the Age of Grace? (No.) Why couldn’t it have been achieved? (Praying to the Lord and confessing one’s sins is only knowing the most superficial sinful behaviors, not the root of sinning or sinful nature. If God did not come to express words to judge and expose people, people would not know the root of their sinning or see their God-resisting nature, and thus would not be able to truly repent.) Correct! In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus said: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). That was just a prophecy, simply spoken in advance to convey a message and let you prepare for this. Therefore, what kinds of lives do we see of the people of the Age of Grace living, no matter how many years they have believed in the Lord? They sin by day and confess by night, each and every day. They think that anyway, if they confess, the Lord will forgive them, and confessing is enough. In the end, they came to a conclusion, “No matter how many sins we commit, the Lord will forgive them. In this way, are we not made holy?” Is this statement valid? (No.) Then tell me, if the believers in the Age of Grace truly saw the Lord return to the flesh and express the truth, would they not nail Him to the cross again? (They would.) These believers in the Age of Grace were only forgiven of their sins and enjoyed much of the Lord’s grace. Tell me, if they entered the kingdom of heaven, would they not continue to resist God? (They would, because their sinful nature has not changed.) Then are such people still qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven? (No.) They are truly not qualified. Therefore, even now, many people in the religious world are still dreaming the beautiful dream of entering the kingdom of heaven, and if you preach the gospel to them, no matter how you try to shake them, you cannot wake them up. What is the problem here? Their religious notions are deeply rooted in their hearts, and no one can shake them. If you want to use the truth to refute their notions and make them accept the truth, they will absolutely not accept it, and they will stick to their path to the bitter end. They just sit there, waiting for the Lord to publicly descend on a cloud. In the end, when God’s work is over, the great catastrophes descend, and the Lord truly appears publicly to reward the good and punish the evil, they will be dumbfounded, and they will wail and gnash their teeth. The prophecy in Revelation 1:7 will be fulfilled: “Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him.” This is the scene of the Lord’s public descent on a cloud. Then, when the Lord publicly descends on a cloud, is it salvation or condemnation for believers in the Lord? (Condemnation.) Let’s think back on the Age of Grace. After the Lord Jesus was resurrected from the dead, He appeared for forty days and He appeared to many disciples. Almost all believers saw the Lord, and even the people of Judaism saw Him. Finally, the Lord Jesus also appeared to Thomas, who had always doubted Him. When the Lord appeared to Thomas, what did He say? “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Tell me, was what the Lord said to Thomas a blessing or a condemnation? (A condemnation.) Then the words that the Lord spoke to Thomas will very likely become the words that the Lord speaks to the entire religious world when He publicly appears in the last days, and then the religious world will be in trouble. Some religious people still say, “I only believe in the Lord Jesus, and I only abide by the Bible,” and they are smug and refuse to yield to anyone. One day, they will be crying. These people refuse to shed even a single tear until confronted by the sight of their own coffins.
