Most people know that a person must pursue the truth in their belief in God, but they don’t necessarily have a full understanding of why. If people can’t fully grasp the significance of pursuing the truth, are they liable to go astray? (Yes, they are.) If people can’t fully grasp the significance of pursuing the truth, they are liable to go astray. What does it mean to go astray? (It means not walking the path to salvation.) This is one manifestation of going astray. So, have the people of the religious world gone astray? (Yes.) In what way has their path deviated? It has mainly deviated toward the study of theology and the Bible. They believe that the more a person understands biblical knowledge and theological theories, the more they know God, and so they single-mindedly seek to understand biblical knowledge and theological theories. As a result, they completely go against God’s intentions and end up on the path of resisting God. What is the greatest taboo in pursuing the truth? This is a key issue to avoid going astray. The greatest taboo in pursuing the truth is walking the path of studying theology and the Bible. To study these things is to walk the path of resisting God. The religious world has always resisted God. So why does the religious world resist God? Who can see through this issue? Some people say, “I haven’t seen how the religious world resists God, and I don’t know why they would.” Let’s look at a fact. What was the attitude of Judaism when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked? (One of resistance and condemnation.) So why did Judaism do its utmost to resist and condemn the Lord Jesus? They had believed in Jehovah God for generations, so why could they resist and condemn God when He became flesh to work? Who can see through this fact? (They believed that the Lord Jesus’ work did not conform to the biblical knowledge they had studied.) What you’ve said is not the most crucial point. Remember this! The most crucial point is that Judaism held fast to a single belief: “Jehovah God is the Creator, and the Creator can never become a human.” Therefore, when people testify to the fact that God has become flesh, they resolutely oppose it and will not accept it no matter what. Two thousand years ago, when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked, Judaism did its utmost to condemn and resist Him, even nailing Him to the cross. Now Almighty God has come, and Judaism once again does its utmost to condemn and resist Him, refusing to accept Him. Judaism has always condemned and resisted the incarnate God, and the root cause of this is their belief that Jehovah God could never become flesh as a human. They believe that even if God were to carry out work, He would at most send messengers or angels to do so. This is the theoretical basis for Judaism’s refusal to accept God’s incarnation. Now, does the Old Testament ever say that Jehovah God cannot become flesh as a human? It never says such a thing. This doctrine is simply not there. So where did this doctrine come from? (From people’s notions and imaginings, and from biblical knowledge and theological theories.) Judaism arrived at this doctrine through its study of the Bible and theology. Their study of the Bible and theology became so fanatical that they developed so many notions, imaginings, and delimitations of God, and as a result, they nailed the Lord Jesus to the cross. These are the adverse consequences of Judaism’s study and upholding of biblical knowledge and theological theories. Tell me, is this constant study of biblical knowledge and theological theories in people’s belief in God not the root cause of their stepping onto the path of resisting God? (Yes, it is.) And are there not people who believe that by thoroughly studying the volumes of The Word Appears in the Flesh expressed by Almighty God and developing a set of spiritual theories, they can come to know God? Are there many people who think this way? (There are.) Is this kind of thinking not very dangerous? (Yes, it is.) What’s so dangerous about it? What consequences will result from people thinking this way? (They will go astray, and they will condemn and resist God.) You see, the leaders of Catholicism have developed a set of Catholic doctrines, and the bishops and priests are always preaching these doctrines, resulting in all Catholics being controlled and bound by them. To what extent are they controlled and bound? If you testify to God’s work of the last days to a Catholic, they will think, “Your Church of Almighty God is just another denomination. It does not belong to the Catholic Church, and so I won’t accept it. Catholicism is the only correct and orthodox church. All other denominations are wrong.” You see, the leaders of Catholicism have misled, bound, and controlled believers to this extent, causing them not to seek the truth or God’s appearance and work at all, and to miss the opportunity to welcome the Lord’s return. This is a fulfillment of the Lord Jesus’ words: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves” (Matthew 23:15). Is this not the case? (Yes, it is.) Therefore, no matter which denomination a person joins, as long as it is not a church established by God or a church in which God speaks, they will be liable to walk a wrong path. So, what is a wrong path? The definition of this must be precise. Specifically, the first wrong path that people are prone to take in their belief in God is to study theology and uphold doctrines, rather than upholding God’s words and the truth. Is this not a wrong path? (Yes, it is.) The second wrong path is to not eat or drink God’s words, and to not seek to understand the truth to cast off their corrupt disposition and come to submit to God, but instead to seek fame, gain, and status, always wanting to rise above others and be at the head of God’s chosen people and control them. The third wrong path is to not pursue the truth, and to just be content with understanding words and doctrines, believing that as long as a person does no evil and has some good behaviors, they can still attain salvation. The fourth wrong path is to be like religious people, seeking to eat their fill of loaves and enjoy God’s grace, not caring whether they can attain salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven, and being satisfied just so long as they are guaranteed to receive a hundredfold in this life. This kind of pursuit is most superficial. At least eighty percent of the people in the religious world are focused on eating their fill of loaves and enjoying grace. These people are all to be eliminated. So, tell me, before people have experienced God’s judgment and chastisement, are they not liable to take the wrong path? (Yes, they are.) Why are most pastors and elders in the religious world unable to accept the work of Almighty God? It is because they focus too much on doctrines and on understanding biblical knowledge and theological theories, and they have neglected the correct path of pursuing the truth, life entry, and dispositional transformation. Therefore, when the Lord returns and works, they see that God incarnate is an ordinary, normal person, and they just cannot accept it. Almighty God has expressed so many words, and they admit that this is the truth, so why don’t they accept? It is simply because this flesh of God’s is truly ordinary and normal, and furthermore, because God has come in the form of a Chinese woman. They get stuck on this, they stumble over their notions and imaginings, and in the end, they bring ruin upon themselves. They believe, “If God were to have become flesh in Israel, then we would accept it. Or if God were to have become flesh in a developed, Christian nation like the United States or the United Kingdom, we could also accept it. But with the incarnation coming to China, the poorest, most backward, and most God-resisting nation, we will not accept it. Furthermore, the fact that the incarnation has come in the form of a woman makes this even more unacceptable for us.” Why do such fallacies exist in their minds? Where do these fallacies come from? Is there any biblical basis for them? (No.) They constantly claim, “We uphold the Bible, and what we say has a biblical basis. Everything you say in preaching the gospel must conform to the Bible, otherwise we will not accept it.” But in fact, these fallacies they uphold do not conform to the Bible at all. So, knowing full well that these fallacies do not conform to the Bible, why do they still uphold them? This is the problem. Do you think that all the fallacies that religious people bring up come from the Bible? Most of these things are people’s notions and imaginings, theories derived from their study of theology. So, does the fact that religious people preach these theories mean that they know God’s work? (No, it doesn’t.) Not only does it not mean that they know God’s work, but it also doesn’t mean that they understand the Bible or the truth. So, when they use these things as theoretical bases to judge and condemn God’s appearance and work of the last days, have they not come to resist God? (They have.) They condemn and resist God so fanatically simply because they do not accept or pursue the truth. They only focus on studying biblical knowledge and theological theories, and as a result, they have walked onto the path of resisting God and have been abandoned and eliminated by God. This shows that in their belief in God, they have not walked the right path, and that they have instead taken the wrong path. Ultimately, they brought ruin upon themselves.

What is the most accurate path to take in believing in God, one that can guarantee salvation? (The path of pursuing the truth.) Specifically, what should people focus on when walking the path of pursuing the truth? Pursuing the truth involves a lot of details. (People should focus on knowing themselves, on dispositional transformation, and on knowing God to the point of being able to submit to Him.) If people focus on these things, they will have walked onto the correct path of pursuing the truth, and they will be able to gain the truth and attain salvation. The disasters are growing ever greater, and the day of God is near. What does it mean to say that the day of God is near? It means that this stage of work is almost complete. Once God appears publicly, the day of God will have arrived, God’s six-thousand-year management plan will have ended, all who resist God will have been destroyed by the great catastrophes, and the saved remnant of humanity will enter a new heaven and earth, which is to say, they will have entered the Age of the Millennial Kingdom. Are religious people all waiting for the Lord Jesus to publicly descend on a cloud? (They are.) They say that the splitting of the Mount of Olives in Israel is a sign of the Lord’s descent on a cloud. Tell me, how would the Israelites feel if they saw the Lord Jesus descending on a cloud? The Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross by them. When they saw the Lord descending on a cloud, what would they think? “Isn’t this the Lord Jesus whom we resisted and condemned? Is He really God? Then should I not be punished?” They would then weep and gnash their teeth. Of course, it wouldn’t just be the Israelites. The entire religious world would also weep and gnash their teeth if they saw the Lord Jesus descending on a cloud. That is when all peoples would weep, and no one would be able to feel happy even if they wanted to. Therefore, when God publicly descends on a cloud, all peoples will weep and gnash their teeth and beat their chests, because the One they have resisted is the one true God. They will perish, and so their belief in God will have been in vain. Believing in God is for the sake of attaining salvation, but not only have all peoples failed to attain it, they have instead become those who resist God. Has calamity not befallen them then? Not only have they not received blessings, but they have brought calamity upon themselves instead. This is all caused by their believing in God yet not knowing Him, and resisting Him. The Judaism of that time condemned and resisted the Lord Jesus because they did not know God. They did not know that the Lord Jesus whom they condemned was Jehovah God Himself. When God put on the flesh and came to earth to work, they didn’t recognize Him. How could people like that possibly know God? Thus, they committed the heinous sin of resisting God and suffered God’s curses and punishment. Therefore, it is impossible for those who do not seek to know God to escape the punishment they deserve for resisting Him. People who do not pursue the truth or transformation in their disposition are liable to resist God at any time, and so they are in constant danger of being eliminated and punished. Tell me, what kind of people resist God? (People who believe in God but do not know themselves resist God.) That’s right. Go on. (People who believe in God but do not practice the truth resist God. People who believe in God but do not accept His judgment and chastisement resist God.) That’s right. (People who believe in God yet do not know God resist God. People who believe in God but cannot submit to Him also resist God.) That’s right. (People who do not base their belief on God’s words but always rely on their imaginings and notions also resist God.) That’s right. (People who believe in God but do not seek the truth and stubbornly cling to their beliefs resist God. People who believe in God and single-mindedly pursue blessings also resist God.) These last ones are not the crucial ones, but the few mentioned before are very important and crucial. People whose dispositions have not changed resist God. People who believe in God but do not know Him in the slightest resist God. People who believe in God but do not accept His judgment and chastisement resist God. All people who believe in God but cannot achieve true submission to Him resist God. People who believe in God but are utterly unable to accept or practice the truth also resist God. And people who have believed in God for many years but do not love Him in the slightest resist God even more so. What do you think of this definition? (It’s good.) If you truly understand this, it will be of immense benefit to your walking the correct path and life entry.

What path can one take in believing in God to attain salvation? It is the path of pursuing the truth. And what path leads to perishing and punishment? The path of pursuing theological theories and biblical knowledge—that path leads to certain death. People are always pursuing biblical knowledge, but can they understand the words in the Bible through studying it? (No.) This is especially true of the words in the Book of Revelation. There is a prophecy in the Book of Revelation: “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ” (Revelation 11:15). That God’s kingdom will appear on earth is the greatest vision in the Book of Revelation. This is what is most crucial. The beginning of Revelation contains God’s words to the angels of the seven churches, telling them the nature of each of these seven types of churches, and which people in each type will be saved and which will be eliminated. At the same time, it allows people to see that only a minority of those in the seven churches can return before God and attain salvation. This minority is precisely the group of people who accept God’s appearance and work of the last days, the group of people who accept the truths expressed by God in the last days. The term “he that overcomes,” which is mentioned repeatedly in the Book of Revelation, refers to these people. All others will fall into the great catastrophes and be destroyed. In the religious communities of every nation, there are some people who have accepted Almighty God. When the great catastrophes arrive, God’s work of saving mankind will be completely finished, and all those who are not in this stream of the Holy Spirit’s work will perish. Just as it says in the administrative decrees God has issued to the entire universe: “Of the human beings within the universe, all those who are of devils will be annihilated. All who worship Satan will fall down amid My burning fire—that is, except for those now within the stream, all will be turned to ashes” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. God’s Words to the Entire Universe, Chapter 26). This is humanity’s outcome. Those who believe in Almighty God and can accept the truth will enter the kingdom, while those who do not believe in Almighty God will all perish. But do not misunderstand this. There are a few nonbelievers whose actions are unrelated to God, and God will leave a portion of them to serve in the Age of the Millennial Kingdom. Other than these people, anyone not in this stream will be destroyed and reduced to ashes. God’s words will surely all be fulfilled and accomplished. The current situation in the world is that The Church of Almighty God is growing ever more prosperous, while the religious world is becoming ever more desolate. Many churches have become so desolate that no one attends gatherings, and quite a few religious people have died in the disasters. In the nonbelieving world, disasters are growing ever greater, and wars are escalating. If the people of the religious world still do not repent to God, do not seek the truth or investigate the true way in the slightest, and instead condemn and resist God’s work based on their own notions and imaginings, then they are on the path to destruction. Why is it that these religious people have believed in God their whole lives, only to end up on the path to destruction? The fundamental reason is that they cannot accept the truth. Religious people view the matter of welcoming the Lord’s appearance and work, and of welcoming the Lord’s return, as truly supernatural. They believe that God will simply descend from heaven on a cloud, but they don’t know that God can also descend in secret, or that God can appear and work as the Son of man. They have overlooked this manner of appearance and work, and so they do not have the blessing of welcoming the Lord. They see that Almighty God has expressed so much truth, yet they are not interested, simply because Almighty God is an ordinary person and they can’t see any hint of His divine aura. They do not believe that Almighty God is the incarnate God. Tell me, can an ordinary person express so much truth? (No, only God can express the truth.) But they don’t believe that Almighty God, who expresses the truth, is God Himself. What errors have they made? They have made two errors. The first is that they do not know that the truth comes from God, that only God is the truth, that only God can express the truth, and that only God’s words are the truth. They have no knowledge of these things at all. Are they not utterly foolish? (They are.) The second error is that they adamantly refuse to acknowledge that God can become flesh, and that God can humble Himself from the highest place to become a person. But God has indeed become flesh, humble and hidden, working in the flesh. This is God’s disposition, which they cannot see clearly in the slightest. Their religious notions are too deep-rooted! The Lord Jesus was the incarnation of the supreme God. Those of Judaism did not understand this, but those of Christianity and Catholicism should be able to. But now God has become incarnate again as Almighty God, putting on an ordinary flesh to express so many truths, yet they are incapable of acceptance. Does this not reveal humanity’s foolishness, ignorance, and deep corruption? This reveals that people do not know God in the slightest. For all the years that Christians and Catholics have believed in the Lord Jesus, they still cannot see through to the fact that the Creator can become flesh, nor can they see clearly that when God becomes incarnate, He can be not only male, but also female. They stubbornly cling to the notion that “God cannot become flesh, let alone a woman.” See how severely the religious world delimits God! So, in the end, they perish because they cannot accept the incarnate God. Who is to blame for that? (They have only themselves to blame for not accepting the truth.) They can only blame themselves. They brought this upon themselves. Is this not right? (It is.) They do not accept the many truths God has expressed, and they even condemn and resist God. No matter how much is said when the gospel is preached to them, they do not accept it in the slightest. They also beat, abuse, and reject us, and they even report us to the police to have us arrested. These people are utterly detestable, and not worthy of pity in the slightest. There is always something despicable about pitiful people!
