How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (10)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – September 15, 2025 (Part Five)
Question 2: When we testify to religious people about God’s work of judgment, we don’t get very obvious results. We can’t get them to recognize that the consequence of people not accepting God’s judgment will be that they’ll be unable to attain salvation. How can we testify to people in a way that makes them truly recognize the importance of accepting God’s work of judgment in the last days?
Answer: If you start out by directly testifying to the work of judgment in the last days and people can’t understand or accept it, then you shouldn’t be so direct. You need to adjust your approach. So, what’s the right approach? You can start by saying, “Back when the disciples asked the Lord Jesus when He would return, the Lord Jesus said: ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth’ (John 16:12–13). This is a prophecy from the Lord Jesus Himself. How do you understand this prophecy? ‘When He, the Spirit of truth, is come’—this ‘Spirit of truth’ is the God of truth, which indicates that the prophecy means that when the God of truth comes, He will express the truth to guide people into all truth. This is the work God will do when He returns. So, what is this work? It’s the work of judgment and chastisement in the last days. You could also call it the work of judgment beginning at the house of God, or the judgment of the great white throne of the last days. When God expresses the truth, this is judgment for mankind. If you gain all the truths expressed by God in the last days, you will have experienced God’s work of judgment in the last days, and your corrupt disposition will be cleansed.” If they still don’t understand the importance of the work of judgment or accept God’s work of the last days, then you can talk to them about why the Pharisees resisted and condemned the Lord Jesus. You can say, “The Pharisees believed in Jehovah God for generations. Logically, they should have known God best, so why did they not accept the Lord Jesus, and instead resist and condemn Him?” You need to get them to reflect on and understand this matter. This will be beneficial for their acceptance of the true way. So, why do you think the Pharisees didn’t accept the Lord and even resisted Him? It’s because they didn’t know God. Even though they’d believed in God for generations, they didn’t actually know God. They couldn’t recognize that the Lord Jesus came from God, that He was the appearance of God, and so they crucified Him. The Lord Jesus clearly said: “I am in the Father, and the Father in Me” (John 14:11) and “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30). This was so clear! In what context did the Lord Jesus say these things? During the time of the Lord’s appearance and work, some people didn’t understand the incarnation, so they asked the Lord Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father, so we can know what the Father is like and what Your relationship with the Father is, and then we’ll know how to believe. We don’t understand this matter. Are You and the Father the same? Can You represent the Father?” You see, isn’t there a contradiction in people’s thinking? They thought, “Lord Jesus, You are not Jehovah God, and You cannot represent Jehovah God, so we don’t dare believe in You.” Even after the Lord Jesus said: “I am in the Father, and the Father in Me” and “I and My Father are one,” they still didn’t understand. They didn’t know what these words meant and they still couldn’t accept the Lord Jesus. You see, for the people of Judaism, accepting God incarnate was harder than climbing to heaven. Their notions were so stubborn! So, when you testify to religious people about the work of judgment in the last days, why is it so hard for them to accept this? It’s because they don’t know God. So what have all of their years of belief in God achieved? They merely believe in God’s existence and believe that God is real. They no longer deny God, but they do not know God whatsoever. That’s why when God put on flesh to express the truth and do a new stage of work, they wouldn’t acknowledge this Son of man as God, and they dared to condemn and resist Him. This is the consequence of not knowing God. But some people were able to believe in and follow God incarnate. So how did they recognize God? God’s sheep hear His voice. As soon as they heard the words of the Lord Jesus, they could recognize that this voice came from God, and that this was the voice of Jehovah God. Thus, they recognized that the Lord Jesus was Jehovah God, and that Jehovah God had become flesh and come to the world of man. Then, when they hear the words of Almighty God, they can also recognize that these words are the utterances of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus, and that Almighty God is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus returned to the flesh. Therefore, from Jehovah God to the Lord Jesus, and then to Almighty God, it is all one Spirit. It is one Spirit who has done the work of these three ages, and it is one Spirit who has expressed the truths of these three ages. If people can recognize these things, do they have some understanding of God incarnate? (Yes.) Almighty God never says, “I am the advent of Jehovah,” or “I am the advent of Lord Jesus.” He doesn’t say this because He wants you to recognize it for yourself. He wants to see whether you can recognize God incarnate. If you don’t recognize God’s voice, and if you can’t recognize that the truths expressed by Almighty God are the voice of God, then you don’t know God in the slightest. Therefore, the fact that the entire religious world still condemns and resists Almighty God after He has expressed so many truths is a manifestation of the religious world not knowing God. It is proof that the religious world resists God. Will they be able to accept what you are saying if you talk to them like this? Will they be able to understand the consequences of not knowing and not accepting God’s new work? (Yes.)
So, what do you all think is the real problem when people don’t accept God’s new work? It’s mainly because they don’t know God. It’s normal for corrupt mankind not to know God, but how could you crucify God? This just goes to show that you are truly vicious and truly malicious! You took the most lovely Son of man who expressed the truth and crucified Him. Just think about how evil you are! So evil to the point of being inhumanly cruel. And what causes this kind of vicious disposition? Arrogance and self-righteousness. If what someone says doesn’t align with your notions or affects your personal interests, reputation, or status, you will condemn that person and put them to death. That’s how the people of Judaism were. Today, the leaders of Christianity are just like the Pharisees of Judaism, frantically resisting, condemning, and blaspheming the Christ who has returned in the flesh in the last days—Almighty God. Is this not crucifying Christ once again? (It is.) So, between these leaders of Judaism and Christianity and the great red dragon, who do you think is more vicious? (The leaders of Judaism and Christianity.) The great red dragon is already vicious enough. It persecutes all religious beliefs, and in particular, it seeks to exterminate all those who believe in Almighty God. If they were to capture me, they would shoot me on the spot. They’d execute me immediately. The great red dragon is so vicious and malicious! They are devils and Satans! But the leaders of the religious world crucify the God who expresses the truth. They, like the great red dragon, are devils and Satans. They are all vicious and malicious. So, in this world, if you persistently testify to Almighty God, will there be danger? It goes without saying that in China, you face the danger of death constantly. When the CCP’s police forces catch those who believe in Almighty God, they can beat them to death and get away with it! So, is there danger in testifying to Almighty God in other countries around the world? (Yes, there is.) Is there danger in democratic countries? It’s not safe in democratic countries either. When you preach the gospel, testify to God, and propagate God’s utterances, the antichrist forces of the religious world will hate you. They will try every means possible to hand you over to the ruling party to have you executed, or they will conspire with the ruling party to pin all sorts of charges on you to condemn you. In the Bible it says: “The whole world lies in wickedness” (1 John 5:19). This means that all of humanity lives under Satan’s power and cannot tolerate God’s existence. Therefore, in this dark and evil world, if you truly want to testify to God, there is danger no matter which country you are in. You will have to bear certain risks. The danger is greatest in countries under the dictatorial rule of the Communist Party, where you could be executed at any time. There is also danger in democratic countries, as the religious world will persecute and frame you. So, no matter where you go to preach the gospel and testify to God, you can’t do so without wisdom, and you certainly can’t do so without faith and loyalty. Without these things, you won’t be able to stand firm.
So, how should you fellowship about the work of judgment mentioned in this question? If a potential gospel recipient doesn’t understand the work of judgment and can’t recognize its importance, you can say to them, “Why do you think the people of Judaism resisted and condemned the Lord Jesus? It’s because they have a satanic disposition that resists God. When they heard the Lord Jesus say: ‘Woe to you, Pharisees,’ could they accept it? Could they know themselves, repent, and change? For more than two thousand years, from when the Lord Jesus completed the work of redemption until now, the people of Judaism have refused to accept the Lord Jesus. They won’t listen at all to the words the Lord Jesus spoke condemning the Pharisees. This shows that to thoroughly cleanse people’s corrupt dispositions, it’s not enough for God to just speak a few words of condemnation and exposure. Results can only be achieved through God’s long-term work of judgment, chastisement, and pruning, as well as through His refining and trying man. It’s absolutely impossible for people to achieve dispositional change without experiencing judgment and chastisement. Therefore, people must resolve their corrupt dispositions by accepting God’s judgment and chastisement. As long as a person’s corrupt disposition remains unresolved, they will continue to resist God.” If you explain it to them this way, they will be able to realize the importance of the work of judgment. Now, some might say, “If a person has a God-fearing heart, will they still resist God?” What do you all think? (No.) Such a view is wrong. Even having a God-fearing heart isn’t enough, because if you haven’t accepted God’s work of judgment in the last days, you haven’t gained the truth. Without the truth, you can’t see through matters, therefore making you unable to avoid saying words of condemnation. If you can’t see through things, it’s impossible for you not to speak based on your notions, imaginings, understandings, and views. Unless your God-fearing heart is exceptionally great, so great that you become particularly reasonable, you can never manage to avoid passing verdicts on or judging things you can’t see through. That kind of God-fearing heart is no ordinary thing. At the very least, the fear of God in such a heart would have to be on the level of Job’s fear of God. But do people today possess God-fearing hearts like Job’s? (No.) If a person doesn’t have a God-fearing heart, and on top of that don’t understand the truth or know God’s work, how could they possibly avoid judging and resisting God? Look at the religious world. They only know the forgiveness of sins and justification by faith. They only know of being saved by grace and of eating one’s fill of loaves. They have no understanding of God’s work whatsoever. Even if they acknowledge that the Lord Jesus is God incarnate, they don’t understand why God had to become flesh or the significance of His incarnation. If they don’t know the incarnation, can they fathom the significance of God’s work of judgment in the last days? (No.) “Judgment and chastisement” are the most taboo words in the religious world. The moment a religious person hears the words “judgment and chastisement,” they feel repulsed, their anger flares up, and they start to judge, condemn, and resist. People who don’t understand the truth and don’t know God’s work are so capable of resisting God! We have experienced this stage of God’s work of judgment and chastisement and gained some knowledge of God’s work. Our plane of thought is much higher than that of religious people. We no longer dare to casually judge or condemn God. No matter how God works, we can accept it and submit. But most religious people haven’t reached this level. So, if you want to preach the gospel to religious people, you must thoroughly and clearly explain God’s work of judgment and chastisement in the last days. You must make them understand why God has to do the work of judgment and chastisement and what results His work of judgment achieves. Only in this way will it be easier for them to accept. The first result achieved by God’s work of judgment is enabling people to know themselves. Do you think people can achieve self-knowledge without experiencing judgment and chastisement? (No.) Without experiencing judgment and chastisement, can people come to know God’s disposition? (No.) If you only know that God is love and mercy, you don’t truly know God’s disposition, and this can lead you to judge and condemn God. When God expresses His righteous disposition and wrath, you won’t be able to understand, and you’ll be liable to condemn Him. For example, if one day you see Christ getting angry at someone, you might say, “You hate people so much, You can’t be from God. Someone from God must be loving.” Is this not judging God? Without experiencing judgment and chastisement, can people achieve true submission to God? (No.) Without experiencing judgment and chastisement, can people achieve true love for God? (No.) Without experiencing judgment and chastisement, can people achieve true worship of God? (No.) Without experiencing judgment and chastisement, can people cast off their corrupt dispositions? (No.) If you can’t even cast off your corrupt disposition, how can you talk about submitting to, worshiping, and loving God? Such talk is all just empty, nonsense, and meaningless. Experiencing judgment and chastisement in one’s belief in God is for the purpose of resolving one’s corrupt disposition. As long as you don’t know and resolve your corrupt disposition, you will not be sanctified, and it’s impossible for you not to resist God. To believe in God, you must accept His judgment and chastisement and pursue the truth. What does it mean to pursue the truth? It means to pursue a change in disposition. The purpose of pursuing the truth is to achieve a change in disposition, to be able to exalt and bear witness to God. If you don’t pursue the truth and your corrupt disposition doesn’t change, how can you bear witness to God? You can’t bear witness to God by talking about the spiritual theories and words and doctrines you understand. You have to live out the truth to bear witness to God. And to live out the truth, you must have actual manifestations. Can you reach the point of being devoted to your duty? Can you reach the point of doing your duty consistently for ten, twenty years? Can you reach the point of being able to do your duty under any circumstances without being negative, shrinking back, or impeding the work? No one can achieve these realities without experiencing judgment and chastisement. Only by experiencing judgment and chastisement and having your corrupt disposition changed can you achieve these things. Therefore, without experiencing judgment and chastisement, everything you say is empty talk and armchair theorizing. It’s all meaningless. So, to what extent have you experienced judgment and chastisement? If you just say, “I have some knowledge of myself. I am full of filth and corruption,” have you come to know your essence? (No.) If you can share a deeper understanding, saying, “After experiencing judgment and chastisement, I see that in living, I am just a devil and a Satan,” then that comes very close to God’s view and assessment of you, and this shows you have gained something from experiencing judgment and chastisement. In God’s eyes, corrupt humans are nothing but living demons. But these living demons are divided into two types: the salvageable and the unsalvageable. The salvageable can be transformed from demons into humans by experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement. This is achieved by God’s work of judgment. The unsalvageable will forever be living demons, devils and Satans, and they will be destroyed when the great catastrophes come. Look at the religious world now, constantly condemning Almighty God. These people are all to be destroyed. When the great catastrophes descend, they will all be wiped out. Therefore, all who judge, condemn, and resist Almighty God will perish. You must remember this. Tell me, according to God’s wrath toward wicked and corrupt mankind, how will God punish the human race? Almighty God says: “My mouth proclaims the chastisement of all men, and people throughout the universe are nailed to the cross upside down” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. God’s Words to the Entire Universe, Chapter 25). How should “nailed to the cross upside down” be interpreted? It means God will send down disasters unprecedented since the creation of the world to punish those who condemn and resist Almighty God. Isn’t this being nailed to the cross upside down? It’s even more painful than being nailed to the cross upside down. You could say it’s a fate worse than death. God utterly detests the wicked and corrupt human race, so He punishes them in this way. If you do not know or accept God’s work of judgment in the last days now, you will be punished and destroyed. There are two aspects of the truths concerning the visions in God’s work of the last days that are most crucial and important. The first is of the incarnation, and the second is of the work of judgment. If you know, understand, and accept these two aspects of the truths, you can attain salvation. If you don’t know these two aspects of the truths, and yet you are still resistant and rebellious, then you are in danger. Where does the danger lie? If you don’t accept and experience the work of judgment of Christ of the last days, your life disposition will not change, you will still resist God, and you will still be an object of God’s condemnation. So, experiencing the work of judgment is truly meaningful, isn’t it? (Yes.) But the religious world can’t see through to this. They think, “We don’t need to experience judgment. We who believe in the Lord are the best. We submit to God and love God, and we also preach, cast out demons, and perform numerous miracles in the Lord’s name. We are holy people, and God has called us righteous, so who would dare condemn us?” Look how proud they are when they say this. “God has called us righteous, who would dare condemn us?” Whose idea is this? (Paul’s.) They have Paul’s ideas in their hearts but have cast the Lord Jesus’ words to the back of their minds. Do you think the religious world believes in and follows Paul? (Yes.) They don’t believe in the Lord Jesus at all. They believe in Paul. They believe in whatever Paul said, but not in what the Lord Jesus said. The Lord Jesus spoke about “the Son of man coming” and “the coming of the Son of man” on many occasions, but they just won’t listen. They won’t accept the truths expressed by the Son of man. They insist on waiting for the Lord to come and rapture them so they can meet Him in the air. Don’t you think this is deviant? (Yes.) Most people in the religious world are deviant, which is why it’s so difficult for us to fellowship about the truth and testify to them about God’s work. Most religious people do not love or accept the truth. They have accepted all of Paul’s notions and imaginings as the truth and cast all the truths expressed by the Lord Jesus to the back of their minds. If you don’t believe me, try reading the words of the Lord Jesus from the New Testament to them. They definitely won’t be interested. But if you read Paul’s words, they become interested, and their eyes light up. They are interested in Paul’s words but not the Lord Jesus’ words. They even welcome the Lord based on Paul’s words rather than the Lord Jesus’ words. These people are utterly deviant!
