How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (10)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – September 15, 2025 (Part Six)

Question 3: Once we testify that Almighty God is the incarnate God, some potential gospel recipients start asking questions about Christ, such as, “Have you seen Him? Who is He?” In our fellowship, we explain that the key to believing in God isn’t whether you can see the incarnate God—instead, the most important thing is to listen to God’s voice. The potential gospel recipients agree at the time, but later they remain skeptical and either stop investigating or block us directly. How can we fellowship on this issue to resolve it so that potential gospel recipients can let go of their notions and continue to investigate?

Answer: If a potential gospel recipient is someone who loves the truth and has comprehension ability, reading just a few passages of God’s words will be enough to attract them. Once they see that the words of Almighty God are the truth, they will be willing to read and investigate. If they are someone who does not love the truth or who lacks comprehension ability, and you read them a few passages of Almighty God’s words but they aren’t interested—they either can’t take it in or grasp it—then you will have to say a lot more. Think of it this way: If you want a high school freshman to get into college, don’t you have to put in the work to tutor them? They still have three years of high school to go before they’re ready for college, so making up for those three years of lessons will require a great deal of explanation and a lot of time. Is that not the case? (It is.) So, if you’re preaching the gospel to someone with poor caliber who belongs to a denomination, don’t you also have to say a lot? If you speak to someone of good caliber for seven days, they will accept it, but you will have to speak to someone of poor caliber for ten or twenty days before they can accept it. So, which of these two kinds of people would you prefer to preach the gospel to? (Those of good caliber.) As the saying goes, “Give food to the hungry and words to those who understand.” When you preach the gospel to people of poor caliber, especially those who lack comprehension ability, it will take you an extra five or ten days and you’ll have to say an extra five thousand, or even fifty thousand, words. But in the end, you still might not be able to bring them around. It’s like talking to a dead person; no matter how much you say, they have no reaction. Wouldn’t you say that’s a lot of effort? (It is.) They lack the comprehension ability to grasp God’s words. So, what problems can we see in the viewpoint of the potential gospel recipient mentioned in this question? This person does not acknowledge Almighty God. They think it’s impossible for God to become flesh and that you are spreading heresy, so they don’t want to listen to you. In that case, you should read them a few passages of Almighty God’s words. Reading them once won’t be effective. After you read them a second time, they might still not be very interested. After the third time, they might start to pay a little attention, and only after the fourth or fifth time will they begin to understand a little. At that point, you can leave them be for a while. If they come looking for you a few days later and are willing to continue to seek and investigate, then you can continue to testify to them. If they don’t come looking for you, then just let it be. Such people do not love the truth, so there’s no need to spend any more effort on them. Is this a good way to practice? (It is.)

Do you know what the best way to preach the gospel is? (To read God’s words.) That’s right, the best way is to read God’s words. With some people, when you read them ten passages of God’s words, two of those passages might attract them. They’ll think, “These words are good—they contain light. I’ve never heard them before,” and then they will be willing to talk with you. But with others, you can read them ten passages of God’s words, and yet they won’t understand or be interested. They might even be repulsed and say, “These words you’re reading are not from the Bible. You must be spreading heresy. I’m not listening!” So, what should be done with people like this? (Give up on them—stop preaching to them.) Correct, you should give up on people like these. So, when we’re preaching the gospel and a potential gospel recipient asks, “Have you seen the incarnate God? Where is God? Have you seen God?”—those are some tough questions, aren’t they? Can you answer them? You can’t. If you say, “I haven’t seen God, but I have seen God’s words,” they will say, “Just seeing God’s words isn’t enough. You haven’t even seen God, yet you say you believe in Him. You’re a fool! You’re a complete fool, yet you’re trying to trick me. I’m not falling for it!” Isn’t that what they mean when they say this? (It is.) In that case, you should read them these words of the Lord Jesus: “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed(John 20:29). Then ask them, “How do you understand this passage? Do you understand God’s meaning? Who are ‘they that have not seen, and yet have believed’? They are those who believed that Jesus is the Lord and Christ without having seen His resurrection. Such people are approved of by God, and they are blessed. If you insist on seeing the Lord Jesus in His resurrected spiritual body before you will acknowledge Him as your Lord and your God, then you are just like Thomas—you will not be blessed, and God will not approve of you. This is what the Lord Jesus’ words mean. Now, if you can believe and accept the truths expressed by God upon His return despite not having seen the incarnate God, you will be blessed!” What do you think of saying a few things like that to them? Won’t they feel ashamed? (They will.) If they still don’t accept it and say, “All of God’s words are in the Bible. It’s enough for me to believe in the Bible. I don’t need to listen to any truths expressed in the last days,” then you can say to them, “Look, the Lord Jesus made a prophecy: ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth(John 16:12–13). Isn’t this the work God’s going to do in the last days? When the Lord comes in the last days, He will express all the truths to judge and cleanse people. These are the truths that the Lord Jesus did not express. Since the Lord Jesus did not speak these words, could they have been recorded in the Bible in advance? No, they couldn’t. How could words never spoken by the Lord have been recorded in the Bible in advance? You have to wait until God returns in the last days to express the truth before you can hear these words. That is certain. So why didn’t the Lord Jesus express these truths when He was working? Because people at that time could not comprehend or bear them. What does it mean that they could not bear them? It means that the stature of the people at that time was too small. If the Lord Jesus had spoken these words, they would not have been able to accept them. They would have been prone to developing notions, misunderstanding and judging God, and even betraying God and abandoning their faith. Let’s give an example. Suppose someone at that time sinned and prayed to the Lord Jesus to confess. If the Lord had said directly, ‘Although I forgive your sins now, you must still experience the judgment and chastisement I will carry out in the last days. Because your iniquity is too great and your corruption is too deep, you are a devil and a Satan. If you do not accept My judgment and chastisement, I will not save you, and you will have to be punished and die,’ what would the consequence have been? They would have immediately stopped believing. Therefore, the Lord Jesus did not express these truths because the people of the Age of Grace could not bear them. It was not until the Age of Kingdom that God expressed the truths for judging and cleansing people.” If you explain it this way, will they understand? (They will.) If they understand, then read them a few more passages of Almighty God’s words. Let them hear and see for themselves whether these words are the truth, whether they are the utterances of God upon His return. If they listen, but are not interested and not moved in their heart at all, then you don’t need to preach the gospel to them. They are not interested in the truth. What would be the consequence if you put in the enormous effort required to bring them into the church? (They might reluctantly accept at the time, but because they don’t love the truth and can’t understand God’s words, they would leave sooner or later.) They don’t pursue the truth and aren’t interested in it. Struggling to get them into the church is useless. They won’t be able to stand firm and will be eliminated sooner or later. They won’t even be able to labor in a way that is up to standard. So, if such a person doesn’t accept, just let it be. It’s not a pity. Do you understand? (Yes.)

Question 4: When we preach the gospel, we talk about the differences between The Church of Almighty God and the churches of the Age of Grace. Potential gospel recipients can understand at the time and are willing to join The Church of Almighty God, but afterward they still go to their old churches for gatherings instead of attending our church’s gatherings. They feel it’s the same no matter where they go. How can we fellowship with them so that they can truly understand the difference between the churches of the Age of Kingdom and the Age of Grace, and come to realize the importance of attending the gatherings of the Age of Kingdom?

Answer: When new believers are in this kind of state, it means they don’t have a clear understanding of visions. What does it mean when I say they don’t have a clear understanding of visions? It means they don’t understand the truths concerning God’s work of the last days. They don’t know why they should believe in Almighty God, what problems believing in the Lord Jesus can solve, or what problems believing in Almighty God can solve. They can’t see any of these things clearly. They just think, “Believing in God is about being a good person. Believing in God is about attending gatherings and reading God’s words. It’s all the same no matter where you believe in God or attend gatherings. It makes no difference if I stay in my religion to believe in God and attend gatherings. God is gracious to me there too, and I can still attain salvation. Why should I have to go to your church to undergo judgment and chastisement? The people in my religion are loving; they all say nice, comforting things. Isn’t that wonderful?” Isn’t that what they think? (It is.) So, isn’t this kind of person a muddled believer? They are a muddled believer! They have no caliber, cannot comprehend the truth, and are just a muddleheaded person. So, is there any benefit in converting such a person? (No.) Can they understand or grasp God’s words when they hear them? (They can’t.) Look at some people; as soon as they hear the words of Almighty God, they start to doze off. Why is that? It’s because they can’t grasp or understand God’s words; they aren’t interested in them. They nod off as soon as a gathering starts, and they sleep very soundly. When the gathering ends and everyone says “Amen” in prayer, they wake up, well-rested and refreshed, and then go home. Such people are not interested in the truth. They are muddled believers; they are disbelievers. So, should we keep on fellowshipping and testifying to them to bring them back before God? (No.) If they want to believe in their religion, then let them believe there. We won’t waste any more effort on them.

Question 5: When I preach the gospel and fellowship on the results of God’s work, I always do a poor job. I can’t get potential gospel recipients to see the fact that the work done by Almighty God is God’s own work, so they can’t confirm in their hearts that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned. How should I talk about this topic to achieve results?

Answer: You have to look at this problem this way. If the potential gospel recipient is someone with comprehension ability and you read them enough of Almighty God’s words, then they will become certain once they understand the truth and the significance of the work of judgment in the last days, see that Almighty God’s words are all truth, and see the sheer number and variety of The Church of Almighty God’s movies and experiential testimony videos. They’ll think, “The work of judgment done by Almighty God is God’s own work. This is God’s work of saving people, and this work is so practical.” If they can see this clearly, that’s enough, and they won’t leave. They don’t need to know too much about the results of God’s work. As for those muddleheaded people who lack comprehension ability, even testifying very clearly about the results of God’s work to them is useless. No matter how many of the facts of God’s work they see, they won’t be interested. Their belief in God is just a muddled one, so no matter how much you say, it will be useless, and won’t move their hearts. Right? (Yes.) Therefore, the most important thing in preaching the gospel is to read more of Almighty God’s words. Read the important, essential words expressed by God to them over and over again—once, twice, three times. Once the important, essential words of God are engraved on their hearts, they won’t run away. Think about it. If these words are engraved on a person’s heart, what will it feel like when they listen to a pastor’s sermon again? “Oh, how can the pastor’s sermon be so backward? What these people are preaching is still the same as what the apostles preached two thousand years ago. There hasn’t been any improvement in all these years. They are so backward—they’re over two thousand years behind!” When they go back to their religion and listen to sermons, it will feel like listening to a dead person speak: The pastor’s sermons are all clichés, without any light at all. The more they listen to them, the more aversion and disgust they will feel in their hearts. Then, they won’t be able to listen to these sermons anymore and will never want to go to their original church again. That’s why it’s normal for some people, when they first accept Almighty God, to attend our church’s gatherings while also attending gatherings in their religion. But after listening for a period of time, they will discover that the two churches are different. They will find that the sermons in our church are on a higher level, that the truths expressed by Almighty God are so rich, and that these truths have all been expressed by God to judge people, cleanse people, and make them perfect. The sermons in their religion are too shallow; the scraps of truth from two thousand years ago they preach about can’t change people. In the religious world, people have believed in the Age of Grace for two thousand years, and not a single one of them has been made perfect. The only exception is Peter, who was specially made perfect by God; no one else was. So, unless God specifically intends to make you perfect, you cannot be made perfect or come to know God in a church of the Age of Grace no matter how you believe in the Lord Jesus, how you believe in the Bible, or how you pray. No matter how many years you believe in God in your religion, it will all be in vain. If you keep up with God’s work of the Age of Kingdom, one month of belief in The Church of Almighty God will far surpass the gains of believing for one hundred, two hundred, or five hundred years in the Age of Grace. A person with comprehension ability who believes in Almighty God for six months will no longer share a common language with people in the religious world. If you ask them to go back to their religion to preach the gospel, they will say, “No, I can’t. I no longer share a common language with them. What they say is too shallow, and doesn’t have the truth reality. I’m not willing to go and preach the gospel to them, and I don’t want to see them.” You see, they have changed. They have nothing to say to religious people anymore; the stuff they talk about in the religious world is far too shallow. So, when we preach the gospel, we should just read more of Almighty God’s words. Once a person with heart and spirit understands God’s words, their problems will be resolved, and they won’t leave.
