How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (11)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – October 15, 2025 (Part Two)

Tell me, why is it that some people, after believing for several years, eating and drinking so many of Almighty God’s words, and listening to so many sermons, still cannot be truly certain about God’s incarnation? What is the problem here? (They don’t accept the truth.) That’s one aspect of it. Who else has something to say? (This kind of person lacks spiritual understanding.) That’s exactly right! Then tell me, can a person who lacks spiritual understanding come to understand the truth, even after believing in God for many years? (No.) No matter how many years a person who lacks spiritual understanding believes in God, they will never be able to understand the truth. No matter how many of God’s words they read or how many sermons they listen to, they will never be able to understand the truth. Therefore, a person who lacks spiritual understanding is one of the living dead. Is that not so? (It is.) A person who lacks spiritual understanding cannot accept the truth of the incarnation, nor can they understand it. Then can those who comprehend things in an absurd way understand the truth of the incarnation? (No.) Those who comprehend things in an absurd way cannot understand it either. Anyone who constantly has notions about the incarnate God does not understand the truth of the incarnation; they do not understand the mystery of the incarnation. So what is the mystery of the incarnation? It is that the incarnate God is an ordinary person on the outside at all times. As long as He does not change His form, He is an ordinary person on the outside. Even at the final moment of the incarnate God’s work, He is still an ordinary person on the outside. This will not change. So how can we see His divinity in this ordinary person? How can we see the expression and the essence of His divinity? This question is crucial. (Based on the truths He expresses.) That’s right. We can see these things based on the truths He expresses. Although He does not express the truth in a supernatural way—He expresses the truth within His normal humanity—and He does not perform signs and wonders, and His outward humanity is also very normal, it is precisely this ordinary, normal Son of man who has expressed nearly ten million words of truth, completed God’s work of cleansing and saving man in the last days, and perfected a group of people into overcomers. With that, God’s great work is accomplished, and He is about to change His form. When God changes His form, many people will be filled with regret. They will think, “Oh, Almighty God is truly the incarnate God! If I had known earlier, I would have wholeheartedly accepted the truths expressed by Almighty God and earnestly pursued the truth. How wonderful that would have been! Why did I always have notions?” These people are just like Thomas; they insist on waiting until they see God’s spiritual body before they will believe. When they see God in the flesh, living in normal humanity, they do not believe. When they see that the life and actions of this ordinary Son of man do not have any divine aura at all, they constantly develop notions. What is the problem here? This is not understanding the mystery of the incarnation. So how can we explain the mystery of the incarnation? Who can explain it clearly in the simplest terms? To put it simply, the mystery of the incarnation is that God’s Spirit, His divinity, is hidden within normal humanity while doing God’s work. His divinity does God’s work quietly, silently, hidden within normal humanity, without leaving a single trace. Tell me, is this not God’s wisdom? (It is.) No one can see any divine aura around the incarnate God; no one can discover that He is God. The Spirit of God is hidden, very mysteriously, within normal humanity. If people could not hear His voice and discover the truth, no one would be able to see that He is the incarnate God. No matter how people look at this Son of man, they think He is just an ordinary person. This is God’s wisdom. If you could tell He was God just from His appearance, could that still be God’s wisdom? You must know these things. If you don’t, you cannot speak of any knowledge of the mystery of the incarnation. The divinity of the incarnate God is hidden within normal humanity without the slightest trace, so that nobody can spot any hint of a giveaway. This is what we call God working in secret. Then tell me, if the incarnate God were to perform signs and wonders, allowing people to see much of His divine aura, what would the consequences be? Everyone in the religious world would come to believe, and God would not have to suffer or be rejected by this age. Is that not so? (It is.) Even nonbelievers, upon seeing signs and wonders, would acknowledge that this Son of man is truly God who has come to earth, and they would come to believe. Even the great red dragon would come to believe. If that happened, how could God perfect a group of people into overcomers? How could He perfect a group of people into ones who truly love Him? Would that not be difficult? (Yes.) Those who are averse to the truth and hate the truth are disbelievers; they resist God. If they were to enter God’s house, they would bring great inconvenience and trouble to God’s work. That’s why God doesn’t do that. Do you understand? (Yes.) In the last days, God hides within normal humanity to express the truth and do the work of saving mankind. So, for such an outwardly ordinary person to be able to express so many truths—do you not think this is a sign and a wonder? This is unprecedented—something that has never happened since the dawn of mankind. Tell me, what person could express so many truths? Yet this ordinary Son of man has expressed so many truths. Currently, seven volumes of The Word Appears in the Flesh have been published. Almighty God has expressed nearly ten million words of truth, which is far more truth than is in the Bible! Don’t you find this incredible? Anyone with a couple of brain cells, upon seeing this fact, would say, “Oh, how could just an ordinary person, without a high level of education and knowledge, express so many truths? Is this not God expressing the truth? Is this not the Spirit of God at work? If it weren’t for the Holy Spirit’s work, who could express so many truths?” Anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence could see it. For such an ordinary person to be able to express so many truths and mysteries is in itself a sign and a wonder—the greatest sign and wonder. Ever since the incarnate Almighty God appeared and began working in China, in just over thirty short years, God’s kingdom gospel has spread from mainland China to countries all over the world. The words of Almighty God have not only spread throughout mainland China, but also to countries around the world. Now, The Church of Almighty God is established in more than 120 countries. Is this not a miracle? If the words of Almighty God were not the truth, could such results have been achieved? Could so many people have accepted them? Absolutely not. These people have accepted these words because they have seen that the words of Almighty God have authority and power, that they are the truth, and that they are the voice of God. This is beyond a shadow of a doubt. You see, the incarnate God is an ordinary person on the outside, and you cannot see any divine aura around Him. But if you can see that the words expressed by God are clearly the utterances of the Holy Spirit and clearly the truth, then you will be completely convinced. If you have a heart and a spirit, how could you not acknowledge that He is the incarnate God? But the people of the religious world, despite clearly seeing this fact, still refuse to accept the truth or acknowledge the work of Almighty God. This completely reveals them for what they are. They do not accept the incarnate Almighty God not only because they are waiting for God’s spiritual body to appear openly, but also because they are averse to the truth and hate the truth. This is the root of the problem. Is that not so? (It is.) Is it because they do not know the incarnation that they do not accept Almighty God? That is not the main reason. The root cause is that they do not recognize the truth, do not love the truth, and are also averse to and hate the truth. This is what leads them not to accept the appearance and work of Almighty God. God incarnate does not perform any signs or wonders at all, appearing as an ordinary person and also in the form of a female. This reveals all those who do not love the truth and do not accept the truth. Tell me, does this not reveal God’s wisdom and almightiness? (Yes.) No person can fathom God’s wisdom; the entire religious world cannot fathom it. God has expressed so many truths, yet those who do not love the truth refuse to accept them. So tell me, what is their essence? (They are devils, the enemies of God.) Then are they not to be destroyed? (They are.) Have you seen this clearly? (We have.) Then when the Lord Jesus said: “I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity(Matthew 7:23), was He not speaking the facts? Are religious people who are averse to and hate the truth not evil people? (They are.) You must remember this: Anyone who is averse to and hates the truth is not a good person. Even if they believe in God, they will sooner or later be eliminated. They cannot walk the path of believing in God and pursuing the truth, nor are they capable of sincerely expending themselves for God. To put it simply, a person who is averse to the truth and hates the truth is a devil, a Satan. Is it correct to say this? (It is.)

What is the most crucial thing to understand about the truth of the incarnation? Remember this: During the period when God is saving man, God always works within normal humanity. Only after He has completed the work of saving mankind does He change His form. But if you wait until God changes His form to become truly certain that He is God, then you are the most foolish and ignorant of people. It could even be said that you are a disbeliever. Look at Thomas. When others testified to him that the Lord Jesus had been resurrected, he refused to believe it. He even said, “I don’t believe it! When has a dead person ever come back to life? That’s not scientifically possible! I must see the Lord appear to me with my own eyes, and I must put my hand into His side to feel whether there are nail marks where He was crucified. I must do this to verify whether He is truly the Lord Jesus.” You see, Thomas was capable of saying such things. God scrutinizes the depths of the human heart, and so the Lord Jesus subsequently appeared to him and said: “Reach here your finger, and behold My hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing(John 20:27). After hearing these words, Thomas immediately knelt down and said, “My Lord and my God! Now I believe. I no longer doubt!” The Lord Jesus said: “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed(John 20:29). What did the Lord mean by these words? “You believe I am God only because you have seen that I’ve changed form, and because you have seen My spiritual body. When I was working within normal humanity, you did not believe I am God. Your faith in Me is not genuine, and you are not blessed!” Is this not what the Lord Jesus meant? (It is.) If you believe firmly without any doubts during the period that God is working while hidden within normal humanity, then you are blessed. If you only truly believe after God has changed His form, saying, “Oh, now I see that He is God! Now I am truly certain, and I will believe to the very end!” then it is too late. How does God view you? God says, “You believe in Me only because you have seen My spiritual body. You do not truly believe in Me. Anyone would believe upon seeing My spiritual body.” Thomas’ way of believing was condemned by the Lord; he did not truly believe in the Lord. If you believe in God in the same way as Thomas, then you will be eliminated. Are not the people of the entire religious world today the same kind as Thomas? (They are.) Many people who preach the gospel say, “When we fellowship on the truth with people in the religious world, they all acknowledge it and are convinced. But as soon as they see that Almighty God is an ordinary person on the outside, they deny it, saying, ‘You say God has returned? That’s impossible! Isn’t Almighty God just an ordinary person? How could He be God? That’s not right. I can’t accept that!’ They never become truly certain.” Tell me, are such people not like Thomas? (They are.) When a person is not truly certain about the incarnate God, can they accept God’s words as the truth? Can they pursue the truth? (No.) Such people are in trouble. Are there such people in the church now? Some people have accepted Almighty God for several months or even a year or two, but they are still not truly certain. They even think, “The religious world says Almighty God is an ordinary person, and I also see that Almighty God is a person.” Because they do not know God incarnate, they return to religion. Are such people not being foolish? Where does their foolishness lie? It lies in their refusal to accept the truth. If Almighty God were truly just a person, could He express so many truths? Is the truth something a person can express? No one can express the truth except for the incarnate God. Tell me, if they cannot even see such a simple matter clearly, are they not blind? (They are.) Is anyone who says Almighty God is just an ordinary person blind? (They are.) Are the pastors and elders of the religious world blind? (They are.) Then when they lead people, they are the blind leading the blind—will they not all fall into a pit and go to hell? (They will.) Why will they go to hell? Because they do not accept all the truths expressed by God incarnate of the last days. This one point is enough to condemn them; this is where they fail. All who do not accept God incarnate of the last days, all who do not accept all of the truths expressed by God, will be destroyed. Tell me, are religious people not utterly blind? They clearly see that Almighty God has expressed so many truths, so how can they still say that Almighty God is an ordinary person? How could so many truths be expressed by a person? Even if you were to put a hundred, a thousand, or even ten thousand great pastors together, they could not express these truths! Is that not so? (It is.) That such an ordinary person, with no profound knowledge or learning, is able to express so many truths is enough to prove that He is the incarnate God. They cannot even see such a simple matter clearly, yet they still think they have knowledge and intelligence. They are the most foolish and ignorant of people. Therefore, the people of the religious world are all blind—the blind are leading the blind, and they will all fall into the pit. Those who do not recognize the truth are the most blind. Almighty God has expressed so many truths, and these are the most important and crucial truths. Almighty God has expressed all the mysteries of God’s six-thousand-year management plan and all the truths that corrupt mankind needs to attain salvation, yet they do not recognize or accept them. They even constantly say, “Almighty God is just an ordinary person; He cannot be God.” Aren’t such people really blind? Tell me, what person is worthy of expressing the truth? Corrupt mankind has a corrupt disposition and is utterly unworthy of expressing the truth. Even those used by the Holy Spirit are not worthy of expressing the truth. Look at those pious servants of God—which of them can express the truth? No one can express the truth except for God incarnate. God does not allow corrupt mankind to express the truth. Corrupt mankind is unworthy of expressing the truth and is fundamentally incapable of doing so. If a person can talk a little about their knowledge of the truth and testify to God, that is already God exalting them in an exceptional way. But some people cannot see this matter clearly. They cannot see clearly that Almighty God’s ability to express the truth proves that He is the appearance of God. Such people are truly blind!

Some people are always worrying, “I’ve believed in Almighty God for too short a time, and the great catastrophes are about to descend. Will I be able to survive? Can I attain salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven?” How should this problem be resolved? (By urgently pursuing and practicing the truth, and coming to act according to principles.) To resolve this problem, you must pursue the truth. So how do you pursue the truth? (By reading more of God’s words and experiencing God’s work.) Reading more of God’s words is the most crucial thing. If you read too few of God’s words, you cannot gain the truth. Many people say, “To pursue the truth, I must read more of God’s words, but there are so many of them. There are already seven volumes of The Word Appears in the Flesh, and there will be an eighth and a ninth. I can’t possibly read them all.” What should you do when there are more of God’s words than you can read? God’s house has published two books: Essential Words From Almighty God, Christ of the Last Days and Daily Words of God. These two books contain the most essential words of God, the truths that people who pursue the truth should understand and enter into every day. You can read these essential words of God, pondering two or three passages each day, and before you know it, you will have come to understand a great deal of truth. In fact, every chapter of God’s utterances and words is very important. You can read one chapter a day, or if you are young and energetic, you can read two chapters a day—one in the morning and one in the evening. Some people say, “I might not remember what I’ve read. What should I do then?” After reading God’s words, you must ponder them a lot. If you can gain illumination from your pondering, if you can figure out the things that people should understand, such as God’s intentions and His requirements for man, thereby achieving an understanding of the truth, then you will have gained something and will be able to remember those words of God. If you read a chapter without pondering it at all, without giving it any thought at all—if you just skim it with your eyes without taking it to heart—then you won’t remember it after you read it, and you won’t gain any truth. In short, reading God’s words is absolutely crucial! You must read more of God’s words. Sometimes, as you read God’s words, you will suddenly understand the truth. Sometimes, as you read God’s words, the notions within you will disappear. Sometimes, as you read God’s words, your difficulties and problems will be resolved. And sometimes, as you read God’s words, you will come to see things clearly that you couldn’t before. You see, in the process of reading God’s words, you come to understand the truth without even realizing it. Before you know it, some of your notions, imaginings, difficulties, and problems are resolved; before you know it, you also gain some understanding of the various corrupt dispositions God exposes; and before you know it, you even come to understand some truth principles. So, as long as you ponder God’s words with your heart, you will benefit every time you read them. As long as you read them, you will gain something: The more you read, the more you will gain; the less you read, the less you will gain. Is that not so? (It is.) If you’ve only believed in God for a short time and want to understand the truth and attain salvation, you must make up for the short duration of your faith by reading more of God’s words. This is the only way; there is no other way. However, after reading God’s words, people often only have some perceptual understandings at first. So how can that be transformed into true knowledge? How can you gain illumination and come to understand and practice the truth? Do you have a path for this? I’ll tell you a path of practice: After you’ve read God’s words and gained some understanding, quickly take notes. Write down the truths and paths of practice you’ve understood. If you don’t take notes at that moment, you’ll forget everything once you get busy with other things, and then you’ll have read those words of God for nothing. Take notes after you read God’s words. Then, when you encounter problems or difficulties in your duty, you will remember: “I’ve read some of God’s words that address this problem before. Let me find them quickly.” You can then flip through your notebook, find what you’re looking for, and it will be just what you need to solve the problem. In this way, the difficulties you encounter in your duty or in your life will, through reading God’s words, be resolved without you even realizing it. Won’t these words of God then leave a deeper impression on your heart? (Yes.) This is the main path to gaining the truth. When you read God’s words, understand the truth, and then experience and practice it, you have gained the truth. There is another path to gaining the truth: In the church, there are some people who have comprehension ability and who understand the truth. When you encounter a problem you don’t know how to solve, you can seek from them. They can fellowship on the truth to help you, and after they read a few passages of God’s words to you, it will all click into place for you. You’ll know how to face and resolve the problem. This is also a path to gaining the truth. In every church now, there are at least a few people who have a relatively good understanding of the truth. If you encounter a problem, you can also gain the truth by seeking from them.
