How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (11)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – October 15, 2025 (Part Three)

Recently, I watched the church life videos of God’s chosen people from some countries, and I saw that some brothers and sisters have good caliber and comprehension ability. Some of their understanding is even better than that of Chinese people who have believed in God for many years. If these people believe for eight or ten years, they will be able to enter into the truth reality, and God will be able to put them to great use. We must water these people well now, and in just a few years, they will be able to understand the truth and shoulder an aspect of the work. Even though they always say, “We have difficulties in our work, and we can’t do without the leadership of the Chinese,” their caliber is actually not poor; they just lack experience. So, to you newcomers from around the world, just keep striving toward the truth. When you encounter difficulties, don’t be afraid of suffering; seek the truth more. After experiencing for a time, you will be able to understand some truths and resolve many difficulties. I tell you, if you are a leader or worker, if you seek the truth no matter what problems or difficulties you encounter, then all your difficulties will be resolved. After experiencing in this way for two or three years, you won’t have many difficulties, and doing your work will no longer be a problem. When you experience things in this way for about three years in your work, you will have resolved at least the common difficulties. Do you understand? (Yes.) Let me give you an example. When two people get married and start a life together, aren’t there many difficulties to start off with? There are many difficulties in life, especially when you’ve just had a child and have to raise them—then the difficulties are even greater. But what about after three years? You will know how to resolve these difficulties. At the very least, you will be able to resolve the common problems. Similarly, when you are a leader or worker, you also encounter more difficulties of various kinds in the first three years—especially in your first year of being a leader. If you resolve all these difficulties by seeking the truth, your work will go smoothly after that, and there will be fewer difficulties you cannot resolve. After you have experienced this for three years, you will basically be able to resolve all the common difficulties. Do you understand? (Yes.) Has anyone ever said, “Being a leader or worker is really not easy. I don’t want to be one anymore. I just want to be an ordinary believer”? (Yes.) If you are afraid of difficulties and don’t want to do your duty, what will the consequences be? Can you be perfected by God? (No.) Your life will not grow, and you will have hindered and brought ruin upon your own life. Therefore, when you encounter difficulties in your duty, don’t be afraid of suffering. You must seek the truth more. This is a great opportunity for your life to grow and for you to be perfected by God. The first three years of being a leader or worker contain the most difficulties, but you must hold on. If you get through your first three years by seeking the truth, you won’t have many difficulties later on. The common difficulties will be easy to resolve, and your work will go smoothly afterward. When preaching the gospel, the first year is the year with the greatest number of difficulties. If you hold on for the first year and resolve all the difficulties you encounter by seeking the truth, then in the second year, you will be on the right track in preaching the gospel, and you won’t have too many difficulties, other than some occasional problems that are a bit difficult. However, these will also be easy to resolve by seeking the truth and won’t affect the overall situation. Therefore, no matter what work you do, there will be difficulties at the beginning. As the Chinese proverb goes, “All things are difficult at the start.” But as long as you seek the truth and break through this initial barrier, the work will not be so hard afterward. Is that not so? (It is.)

People are always afraid that when the great catastrophes come, they won’t be able to attain salvation. They always worry, “If I really die in a disaster one day, does that mean I’ve been eliminated? Will I still have a chance to see God’s face?” Isn’t everyone worried about this? (Yes.) Some people think, “Those who understand the truth and can write experiential testimony articles will be able to survive. But I’ve only believed in God for a year or two, I don’t understand the truth yet, and I can’t write any experiential testimonies. If I die in a disaster, I won’t be able to enter the kingdom of heaven, and my hope of attaining salvation will be gone.” So they become filled with worry, sorrow, and anxiety. But no matter how worried or anxious you are, it won’t solve the problem. Seizing the hour to pursue the truth and enter into the truth reality is what’s most important. So, tell me, is there a shortcut to entering into the truth reality? I bet you want to ask me this and have me fellowship on what shortcuts there are. (We have thought about it.) Well, I’ll tell you now, the shortcut to entering into the truth reality is to read more of God’s words, contemplate the truth more, and then train yourself in writing more experiential testimony articles. The more experiential testimony articles you write, the faster you will understand the truth. The more experiential testimony articles you write, the more of a path you will have in your life entry. The more experiential testimony articles you write, the more you will know how to experience God’s work. Writing experiential testimony articles is the shortcut to life entry. Without writing them, your experiential understanding will remain on a superficial level, and it will not be easy for you to enter into more profound levels. As soon as you start writing an experiential testimony article, you have to contemplate the truth and focus your heart on pondering the truth. Once you focus your heart on seeking and contemplating God’s words, and on pondering how to experience and enter into God’s words, an experiential testimony will come about before you know it. For example, are the people, events, and things we encounter every day not set up by God? (They are.) The people, events, and things we encounter every day are all set up by God. God arranges for some people to have nonbelieving relatives—a nonbelieving spouse, children, or parents. These people are always harassing and disturbing them, always causing them trouble, and always creating obstacles to hinder their belief in God. What should they do when faced with this environment? (Read God’s words and seek the truth.) This is when you should seek the truth. So how do you seek the truth? You should think about which passages of God’s words you have read before that can solve this problem, and then quickly find them and read them. Your heart will then be brightened, and you will understand God’s intentions. So, tell me, why does God set up this environment? Are these nonbelieving relatives not rendering service for your life entry and your life growth? (They are.) Then what lesson should you learn? The first lesson to learn is to submit to God’s orchestrations and arrangements. These people have been orchestrated by God; they have been specially arranged by Him. God has made these people appear in your life, and though you want to remove this environment, you cannot. So if you are just resignedly enduring it, does that count as submitting to God’s orchestrations and arrangements? (No.) That’s a passive approach. So, how should you seek the truth to truly submit to God’s orchestrations and arrangements? You must understand what problems God is trying to resolve in you and which of your corrupt dispositions He is addressing by setting up this environment. Once you understand these things by seeking, you will know that God has set up this environment to render service in perfecting you and helping your life grow, and you will be able to actively accept and submit to it. To achieve this result, you must pray to God and seek the truth. Tell me, how long do you have to experience in order to learn a lesson in one aspect? For occasional minor matters, it might take a few days, but for major matters, it takes at least a few months. Some things are not easy to experience in a short time, and you might have to go through several months of experience before you can learn the lesson, submit, and say, “This is an environment set up for me by God. It was specially designed by God to temper me. God’s designs are so wonderful! Although I have gone through a lot of pain and tempering, I have learned to submit. Without this environment that God set up, I don’t know how arrogant I would have become; my head would have been in the clouds.” Have you realized whether the environment God has set up for you is a good thing or a bad thing? (A good thing.) Then how should you treat it? (Submit to it and accept it.) What if you start thinking, “You are a burden to me, an obstacle. I’m going to leave you. I’m going to get away from you!”? Is that acceptable? (No.) In an environment set up by God, you must accurately grasp His intentions. Once you have grasped God’s intentions, you will be able to submit to God, your heart will be at peace and filled with joy, you will no longer suffer pain and refinement over this matter, and your spirit will be released. Is that not so? (It is.) Then, every time you experience an environment, you will be able to understand the truth and learn to submit. Is this not an experiential testimony? (It is.) Then can you write it out to bear testimony for God? If you have an experiential testimony, you must write it down. If you don’t, who will know that you have gained something and have had a practical experience? Who will see that you are a person who submits to God’s sovereignty? Nobody! Therefore, if you have an experiential testimony, you must write it down, and in this way, you can bear testimony to God. I’ve seen that the experiential testimonies written by brothers and sisters of some countries are truly wonderful! For example, in the live report on church life in Brazil, a sister gave a testimony. Her mother fell ill and was sent to the intensive care unit, and she prayed to God saying, “I have nothing. Everything I have is given by God. My parents were bestowed on me by God. If God wants to take my mother back, then let Him. I will submit to God and thank God!” Her mother was critically ill, yet she still submitted to God’s orchestrations and arrangements and thanked God. Tell me, how did she come to say such a prayer? Did she come up with it in her mind, or did she just say it casually? (No.) She had to seek the truth to be able to pray like that. And after seeking the truth, was she able to submit immediately? It wasn’t that easy; there is always a process. Everyone has affection, and when faced with such a situation, people hope that their family member’s illness can be cured as soon as possible and that they can go on living well. So why was this sister able to pray in this way? Did she not go through a struggle? (She did.) She experienced a struggle and finally chose to submit. When she said these words in prayer, her spirit was released, and she was no longer tormented or pained by her mother’s illness. In the end, she even shared her experiential testimony with everyone, testifying to how God had guided her through this trial, what aspects of the truth she had come to understand, and how God had finally bestowed true peace upon her. So, her experiential testimony is no simple thing! In fact, this sister had not believed in God for very long, perhaps only three to five years, but when faced with such a major event, she was already able to submit and pray to God in that way. This shows that her stature is not small. Some people who have believed in God for over a decade cannot pray like that, which is why I say her testimony has weight and value. This is a good experiential testimony. Good experiential testimonies are now emerging within church life around the world. The depth of each person’s experiential understanding varies, but such good experiential testimonies are precisely what church life needs in every country. Anyone who has such an experience should quickly share it during a gathering so that all their brothers and sisters can benefit, and they should also train themselves to write it down as an experiential testimony article so that more people can be edified by it. I saw that God’s chosen people in Brazil were all moved after hearing this sister’s testimony, and they took the initiative to embrace her. This is loving one another. I was also moved after watching this testimony. Good testimonies edify everyone who sees them. Tell me, did she not also grow through writing down this kind of experiential testimony? (Yes.) Therefore, every time you write an experiential testimony article, you grow. Every time you write an experiential testimony article, your life grows. If you can write two or three experiential testimony articles in a month, your life will surely grow considerably. Then, focus on experiencing God’s work, seek God’s intentions in all things, learn to submit to God’s sovereignty and arrangements in all things, and stand firm in your testimony for God in all things—tell me, will your life not grow quickly if you experience God’s work in this way? (It will.) Then what should you do if you want your life to grow a little faster? You must seek the truth and learn lessons in every single thing you encounter every day, and learn to grasp God’s intentions and submit to God. These words are the path of practice. If you practice these words, you will be able to learn a lesson and derive an experiential testimony from every matter. Once you have an experiential testimony, should you worry about not being able to write a testimony article? (No.)

So what about those who have believed in God for many years but cannot write experiential testimony articles? What is the reason for this? (They have no experience, so they can’t write experiential testimony articles.) They never learn lessons from the environments God sets up for them. They think, “These things have nothing to do with my belief in God. I’ll just ignore them. I won’t learn any lessons. I’ll just attend gatherings and do the duty I’m supposed to do, and that’s enough.” They simply do not learn lessons, do not seek the truth, and do not bear testimony for God. So, tell me, is the path such people walk in their belief in God correct? (No.) By not pursuing the truth, they have gone down the wrong path. So what does it mean to pursue the truth? To put it simply, it means to learn lessons in all things. This is pursuing the truth. No matter what you encounter, seek the truth and learn some lessons, especially from the various environments that arise around you. Some people are hindered by their nonbelieving spouse, and they say, “How did I end up with a spouse like this? Why do they hinder my belief in God?” Is this not failing to understand God’s intentions? This environment has been set up by God, and it is a time to seek the truth and learn a lesson. And there are not just lessons in one aspect to be learned here, but in several. If you learn all these lessons well, you will have an experiential testimony, and you will be able to write an experiential testimony article. There are also people who have heavy family responsibilities and do not have much time to believe in God and do their duty. They, too, must seek the truth and learn lessons. There are God’s good intentions in all these things. “There are God’s good intentions in all things”—this is not an empty phrase; it is a most practical statement. This way of experiencing things is guaranteed to be sound, and will allow you to truly understand God’s intentions in all things. The environments God sets up are all meaningful; they are all set up so that people can learn lessons from them. The more things you experience, the more lessons you will learn—will you not then bear more testimonies for God? (Yes.) Let’s take an example. When Job was seventy years old, he encountered a great trial—this trial was truly no small thing. Job lost all his property, all his children died, and he himself was covered in sore boils. If a person of small stature were to encounter such a trial, they would absolutely be unable to stand firm. What does it mean to be unable to stand firm? It means to deny God, to stop believing. But when Job encountered this trial, he stood firm. So what truth did he have to understand to achieve this result? You must ponder this matter thoroughly. Job was able to stand firm because he knew God’s sovereignty and arrangements. He recognized that everything he possessed was bestowed on him by God. Most people do not have this understanding and cannot say such a thing. Look, throughout the ages, how many wealthy people have said, “Everything I have was bestowed on me by God”? Has anyone ever said this? Only Job could say such a thing. What do most nonbelievers say when they acquire wealth? They say, “I earned this with my own wisdom and my own abilities.” They do not say it was bestowed on them by God. They feel that saying it was bestowed by God would belittle their own wisdom and ability. But Job said, “The wealth I have obtained was all bestowed on me by God. I could not have obtained it on my own.” Job saw this matter very accurately. Tell me, as Job grew to the age of seventy and acquired so much wealth, did he not have a lot of thoughts about why he came to be so wealthy? (He did.) He often discussed these things with his friends. His friends would ask him, “You are now the wealthiest man in the east. How did you acquire so much wealth?” Job had long seen this matter clearly. He said, “The wealth I have obtained was all bestowed on me by God; it was not earned by my own abilities.” Is there reality in what Job said? (Yes.) Did Job exaggerate? (No.) Did Job’s words accord with the facts? (They did.) There was not a single false word in what Job said. It was all what he had truly come to know and truly seen; they were the words from his heart; they were truthful words. Therefore, when the robbers came one day to plunder Job’s property, he was able to submit. At that time, his friends said, “You believe all your wealth was bestowed on you by God, so how is it that it’s all been taken away? Did God permit it to be taken, did God take it away, or did the robbers take it on their own? Does this have anything to do with God?” Job said, “All my wealth was a gift from God. On the surface, it appears to have been carried off by robbers, but in reality, it was Jehovah God who took it back. This happened with God’s permission. If God had not permitted it, these robbers would not have taken this wealth away.” You see, was his view on this matter accurate? (It was.) So, after believing in God for seventy years, what knowledge did Job have of God? (He had true faith in and true submission to God.) He believed, “Man is a created being. When man comes into the world, he has nothing. Everything he has now is bestowed on him by God. This is undeniable. If one day God wants to take it back, man will again have nothing. Whether He gives or takes away, everything depends on God’s arrangements.” This was Job’s knowledge of God. So he came to a conclusion: “We created beings must submit to God’s orchestrations and arrangements. Whether God gives or takes away, we should thank Him.” Tell me, with Job having such knowledge of God, did he not gain something in his lifetime of believing in God? (He did.) For corrupt mankind, to gain such knowledge of the Creator after a lifetime of belief in God—is that a simple matter? (It is not.) Are there many people with such knowledge of God? (Not many.) Among all of mankind at that time, only Job had such knowledge; no one else did. If others had possessed such knowledge, God would’ve surely tried them, and they would’ve surely borne testimony, but at that time, no one other than Job had such knowledge. Job had the best comprehension among the believers of his time, and he was also the person with the most knowledge of God. This is because Job learned lessons from all things. No matter what he encountered, he would ponder it in light of the truth and pray to God to seek the truth. In the end, he saw all these matters clearly. Tell me, if Job had not learned lessons in all things, could he have stood firm in his testimony when he faced such a trial at the age of seventy? (He could not have.) Was Job’s ability to stand firm in his testimony not directly related to what he pursued in his daily life and his practice of learning lessons in all things? (It was.) It was very much related! So, some people constantly worry, thinking, “The great catastrophes are almost upon us, and we don’t have much time to pursue the truth. Can we gain the truth? Can we attain salvation?” This is what people worry about the most. So how can this problem be resolved? I’ll tell you, there is only one path: to be like Job, learning lessons in all things, seeking the truth in all things, and bearing testimony for God. The more testimonies you bear and the better they are, the more certain you can be of attaining salvation. Job gained God’s approval by bearing a testimony like this. So, tell me, did Job have experiences before this event? (He did.) He didn’t live those seventy years for nothing. He certainly had many experiences and encountered many things. Were there no robbers before then? Did these robbers suddenly appear when Job was seventy? That’s not how it was. There were robbers before, and there were times when Job’s property was plundered; it’s just that none of those times were as serious as the trial he encountered at seventy. Job had experienced all these things, so why did God permit him to encounter the trial of such a great disaster in the end? God simply wanted Job to bear testimony, and to shame Satan through this testimony, which is why this event was recorded in the Bible. But Job surely had many experiences that are not recorded in the Bible, correct? (Correct.) So, tell me, what is the most important path of practice for gaining the truth and being able to survive? Learn lessons in all things and bear testimony for God. If God sees that your testimony has value, He will approve of you. You can survive on the strength of a single testimony that is valuable enough. Therefore, bearing testimony for God is the most crucial. If you want to survive, you absolutely must bear testimony. If you only focus on preaching and working, but do not pursue the truth and bear no real testimony, you will surely be eliminated. Just as the Lord Jesus said: “Depart from Me, you that work iniquity(Matthew 7:23). But if you bear a real testimony, what will God say? At the very least, He will approve of you. Once God approves of you, you will be able to survive. Therefore, your survival hinges on whether you bear testimony. So what should you do now, if you haven’t yet borne a testimony? You must seek the truth in all things and learn lessons from all things. Quickly record the truths you have come to understand and the lessons you have learned from all things—this is testimony. Some testimonies may be a bit shallow, but as long as you have understood the truth, they are still testimonies. You should record the results you achieve by seeking the truth in all things; these are all testimonies. The more testimonies you bear, the greater your chances of survival, because the measure of whether you have the truth reality is whether you bear testimony. Put simply, whether someone has the truth reality is shown by whether they have genuine testimony. This is the most realistic and accurate way to put it. Do you understand? (Yes.) So, do you now have a path to resolve the matter you worry about most? (Yes.) Can we consider our fellowship on this matter complete? (Yes.) From now on, in every church, anyone who can write experiential testimony articles should train themselves to do so. If your experiential testimony is indeed very good, God will remember you when He sees it, and perhaps you will gain God’s approval. Therefore, writing a lot of experiential testimony articles is what God blesses most. We’ll end our fellowship on this matter here. Next, we’ll begin answering questions.
