How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (7)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – August 1, 2025 (Part Four)
There are still quite a few questions that need to be answered. Let’s start answering them now.
I. Questions Regarding the Preaching of the Gospel
Question 1: Because we do not know the incarnate God, when we testify, our fellowship on the truth of the incarnation is highly theoretical and fails to move the hearts of potential gospel recipients and to enable them to acknowledge that this ordinary Son of man is the incarnate God. Could you fellowship in detail on how to know the incarnate God? How can we fellowship on this aspect of the truth in a way that can attract potential gospel recipients?
Answer: Regarding how to know the incarnate God, you must first know that there are principles and significance to the way God chooses to appear and work. God chooses His way of working based on how He can better express the truth and have better contact with people, so that they can more easily accept the truth. To achieve this result, only the way of incarnation is the most suitable. Why is this? First, the incarnate God can express the truth at any time and in any place. Second, the incarnate God is not at all supernatural. He is just like a normal person, and can have contact, interact with, and have heart-to-heart talks with people. This makes it convenient for God to do the work of saving man. If the Spirit were working, people would not be able to come into contact with God, and they would not be able to live with Him. If the Spirit’s work were limited to God appearing to man and speaking a few words, then this would work. But if the Spirit of God were to be with man for a long time, it wouldn’t work, because the Spirit’s work is always supernatural. If people have contact with the Spirit, they will become fearful, and they will not be able to have normal contact with God or have heart-to-heart talks with Him. Is this not so? (It is.) Tell me, what would be the consequence of a person coming into contact with the Spirit of God? The Spirit of God is holy and does not tolerate man’s offense, and furthermore man’s corruption and filth are too great. Before God, everyone is a little devil, a Satan. If a person has contact with God and exposes their corrupt disposition and their despicable intentions, they are liable to be struck down by the Spirit of God. Therefore, corrupt mankind is not qualified to stand before the Spirit of God, let alone worthy to be with the Spirit of God directly or to have heart-to-heart talks with Him. In addition, the Spirit of God is the true light, and the words spoken by the Spirit of God are the utterances of divinity. People cannot understand them, nor can they reach them. So how can people gain the truth and God’s salvation? Therefore, it is not easy for the spiritual body to achieve a result in doing the work of saving man, so God must choose the way of incarnation to do the work of saving man. The flesh that God chooses is a specific flesh. This flesh has normal humanity, and God puts His way into this flesh and speaks to people through this flesh in the language of normal humanity. In this way, it is easy and much more convenient for God to be in contact with people. When people see that the incarnate God is the same as them on the outside, has normal humanity, and speaks human language, they have no fear in their hearts and are able to be in contact with God with peace of mind. When people are in contact with the incarnate God and reveal their corrupt dispositions, God, in His normal humanity, can treat them with love, exercise wisdom, and be patient and tolerant. In this way, the supreme God can just about be in contact with people and just about live with them. However, because the incarnate God has normal humanity and no corrupt disposition, and because He loathes sin and corrupt dispositions, among corrupt mankind, He can only be in contact with a limited portion of people, that is, those who are comparatively honest and kind, not too despicable and cunning, and capable of accepting the truth. God can be in contact with such people and treat them with love. If they are antichrists, evil people, particularly cunning ones, or people who are akin to bandits and ruffians, God will detest and loathe them as soon as He sees them, and God will not make contact with them, nor will God have patience for these people. God can only be in contact with those whom He wants to save, and God is willing to live with them. Therefore, God working in the way of the incarnation is particularly beneficial for the people God wants to save. But if it were the spiritual body living with you, when He saw that your words and actions all revealed corruption, He would loathe and detest you, and He would be unable to be in contact with you. In addition, the daily life of God’s spiritual body is truly supernatural. He is not limited by space, geography, or environment. He can leave whenever He wants. Tell me, in such a situation, could you still live normally before God? Could you still open up to God? You could not. You would always be thinking, “God is too supernatural. I must not speak rashly.” You would be afraid in your heart, and your nerves would be in a state of tension. Is that not so? (It is.) Let me give you an example. Suppose you have a strange dream, and you see a devil in your dream. Would you be affected? (I would.) You may not be able to recover for several days. It is the same when a person sees the spiritual body of God. For several days, they will keep thinking, “Oh, I have seen God. I was so scared that I couldn’t even breathe! It was like I’d died! It was so terrifying!” As you can see, the person’s mindset becomes abnormal, and they cannot live normally. But if a person sees an ordinary, normal person, they can have normal contact with them, get along with them, have a conversation with them, and they can live together. Therefore, God has adopted the means of the incarnation to save and perfect man. This is the most suitable way.
In people’s notions, they always hope that when God comes, He will be a spiritual body. People think that the Lord Jesus has become a spiritual body after He was crucified and resurrected from the dead, and so they wonder why He shouldn’t be this resurrected spiritual body when He returns. They do not consider whether it is appropriate for a spiritual body to come and work, or what way of working God can use among men to achieve the result of saving and perfecting people. They are also unaware of their own measure, and they always demand that God be a spiritual body who comes to work for them to accept Him; otherwise, they will not accept Him. Do such people have reason? (No.) You always delimit God’s work based on your notions and imaginings, and insist that it must be this way or that, and if it isn’t, you refuse to accept it. You are truly arrogant and lacking in reason! If you do not accept it, can it affect God’s work? Can it hinder God’s management plan to save mankind? (No.) You cannot hinder it, and God will still work as He should. Therefore, when people are seeking and investigating the true way, they should not rely on their notions and imaginings, but instead, they should consider God’s intentions. If people keep thinking, “Although the appearance and work of Almighty God today and the truths He expresses have fulfilled the prophecy of the Lord Jesus: ‘When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth’ (John 16:13), I cannot accept Him, for Almighty God is a Son of man, and not a spiritual body,” what is the problem here? In reality, when people see the appearance of the truth, it is equivalent to seeing the appearance of God. If you see that what God expresses are all truths and still cannot accept Him, then your problem is not that you do not accept the Son of man, but that you do not accept the truth, and that you reject the truth. Is this not the problem? (It is.) If you reject the truth, then you will miss the incarnate God’s work of saving man, and you will be eliminated. God’s work waits for no one. Just look, Judaism did not accept the work of redemption done by the Lord Jesus, and they even resisted and condemned the Lord Jesus. Will God be crucified again to redeem them? He will not. Therefore, because Judaism did not accept the Lord Jesus’ work of redemption, they were condemned and suffered punishment, and in the end, the entire nation of Israel was destroyed, and all the people of Israel could do was to go into exile in various countries around the world. It was not until the last days that God let them restore their nation. This is the last chance God gives them. In the last days, God has returned to the flesh and expressed the truth to do the work of saving man. If they still do not accept God’s work of the last days, then there will be no more opportunities for them. God’s work waits for no one! Therefore, if you see that God has expressed the truth, but you cannot accept Him because He is the Son of man, and you only accept the appearance and work of the spiritual body of God, then you will have to be destroyed when the great catastrophes descend, and you will never have the opportunity to see God’s face again.
What do you think of fellowshipping with potential gospel recipients on the truth of the incarnation in this way? (It is good.) You can also ask them, “The Lord Jesus is God incarnate, so how is it that you are able to believe in the Lord Jesus but not in Almighty God? If you do not accept Almighty God despite the fact that He has expressed so many truths, can you really say that you can hold onto the name of the Lord Jesus forever? It is not realistic. Your inability to accept Almighty God proves that your belief in the Lord Jesus is false. If you had truly seen the flesh of the Lord Jesus, you certainly would not have believed.” Can this be said? (It can.) Fellowship with them in this way, and there is no need to say anything more. If, after you have fellowshipped in this way, they still say, “I’m still not going to accept it. If it is not a spiritual body expressing the truth, I will not accept it.” They have preconditions for accepting the truth; it must be the spiritual body expressing the truth for them to accept it. Then are they worthy of seeing the spiritual body? Man is not worthy of seeing the spiritual body. If man sees the spiritual body, they will be struck down. When Paul saw the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus, that is, when the great light appeared to him, as soon as he saw the great light, his eyes were struck blind. He said, “Who are you?” The Lord Jesus said, “I am the Lord Jesus whom you persecute.” Paul immediately collapsed, and his heart trembled with fear. But at that time, God had to use him to render service and have him preach the gospel, so He spared his life. You see, if a person sees God’s spiritual body, even if they do not die, they will be blinded. That is very dangerous. Therefore, the way God works is not something that man can delimit. You cannot require God to work in a certain way according to people’s notions and imaginings. If you do this, you are truly lacking in reason, and all the years you have believed in the Lord in the Age of Grace would have been in vain. You have no normal humanity to speak of. You do not seek the truth at all, and you are full of delimitations, misunderstandings, and resistance toward God. Can such a person be saved? (No.) Will they not have to be condemned and eliminated by God? (They will.)
Question 2: I read in God’s words, “Those whose deeds on earth have not involved Me, they will, because of how they have behaved, continue to exist on the earth” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. God’s Words to the Entire Universe, Chapter 26). But when I preach the gospel, I tell people that if they do not accept God’s return, they cannot be saved. I feel that what I say seems to contradict this statement from God. Brother, please fellowship on how this statement from God should be understood.
Answer: Let’s not start by talking about whether nonbelievers who are not involved with God can be saved. Let’s just talk about those who believe in God. If they are only content with being laborers, can they survive? (No.) Then to what point must a laborer reach to be able to survive? (Unless they become loyal laborers, they cannot survive.) Then have loyal laborers gained the truth? Do they have the truth as their life? (No.) Then if they can survive, does it count as being saved? (No.) Loyal laborers have only reached the point of being loyal in their laboring, but they have not gained the truth, and they have not been saved. They survive only to enjoy God’s grace for a thousand years in the millennial kingdom, but when the millennial kingdom ends, they must still die. At that time, the devil will be released from the bottomless pit again and it will begin to mislead the people on earth. Because loyal laborers have not gained the truth, they will be misled and taken captive by the devil again. This will be their second death, and this death will be a true death, and they will be destroyed. God says that some people who have not gained the truth can also survive. In addition to loyal laborers, there are also some nonbelievers whose actions do not involve God. For example, some people who study science can also survive and render service in the millennial kingdom. But after they have rendered their service, when the millennial kingdom ends, because they do not have the truth, they will be misled by the devil again, and they will be completely destroyed. Therefore, those who survive are not all saved. Some people have not gained the truth as their life, and such people have not been saved. So now we say that people must accept the truth and God’s judgment and chastisement to be saved. This does not contradict this statement from God. If someone feels that it is a contradiction, you can say one more thing to explain this matter. You can say, “Loyal laborers and people whose actions do not involve God can also survive, but because these two kinds of people have not gained the truth and have not been saved, sooner or later, they will be destroyed.” Is it still a contradiction if you say this? (No.) Then is this problem resolved? (It is.)
Question 3: When we testify about the work of judgment, many potential gospel recipients say, “You say that those who do not accept God’s work of judgment in the last days cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. So does this mean that all the saints who died before cannot get into the kingdom of heaven?” We tell them that the souls of some saints have been reincarnated as humans in the last days, and these people will continue to experience God’s work. But some potential gospel recipients have just started attending testifying groups, and they cannot accept the matter of reincarnation. Is there another way to resolve this notion?
Answer: If a potential gospel recipient asks this question, you can first ask them, “Where do you think the souls of people like Peter and Abraham are? Are their souls in hell?” Certainly not. Their souls are in the kingdom of heaven in the spiritual realm. The souls in the kingdom of heaven in the spiritual realm will also enter the kingdom of heaven on earth in the future. Therefore, the souls of some saints have not gone to hell, but have entered the kingdom of heaven in the spiritual realm, and these souls will also enter the kingdom of heaven on earth. It is also said in the Bible that some people will stand up in the last days, just as it says in the Book of Daniel: “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time…. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake” (Daniel 12:1–2). Then do you dare say that the souls of these people are all in hell? Although their flesh has died, their souls have all returned to the spiritual realm, and these people will stand up again in the last days, that is to say, their souls will come to this human world again in the last days. Just as Elijah has come in the last days. For many, this matter is not easy to accept. People think, “Elijah is dead, so how can he still come back?” Then look, is the return of the Lord Jesus not the Spirit of God clothing Himself in a flesh and coming as a man? The return of saints like Elijah in the last days is actually also their souls being reincarnated and coming back as humans. This idea is mentioned in the Bible. If a person cannot even accept this, then there is nothing we can do. We can only explain matters up to this point. In short, do not think that all those who have died are in hell or in heaven. This is not necessarily the case. If a person died as a martyr for the Lord, then their soul is not in hell. Their soul is with God, and the souls with God will also enter the kingdom of heaven on earth in the future. When you say this, such doubters will have nothing more to say. Is that understood? (Yes.)
Question 4: When we preach the gospel, we cannot explain the differences between The Church of Almighty God and Christianity, Catholicism, and Eastern Orthodoxy clearly. After listening to what we have to say, potential gospel recipients do not understand this matter. How are we to fellowship on this clearly?
Answer: This is simple. Tell me, how many ages does God’s six-thousand-year management work span? It spans three ages, which are the Age of Law, the Age of Grace, and the Age of Kingdom. Each age has a name of God that represents it. In the Age of Law, God’s name is Jehovah. In the Age of Grace, God’s name is the Lord Jesus. In the Age of Kingdom, God’s name is Almighty God. Christianity, Catholicism, and Eastern Orthodoxy are all churches of the Age of Grace, while The Church of Almighty God is the church of the Age of Kingdom. Therefore, what do you say is the difference between Christianity, Catholicism, and Eastern Orthodoxy and The Church of Almighty God? It is that they belong to two different ages. The Church of Almighty God is the church of the Age of Kingdom, the church that accepts God’s judgment and chastisement and the work of the Age of Kingdom. The others are all churches of the Age of Grace. This is the difference. Now you have caught up with the Age of Kingdom. The Church of Almighty God has appeared. If you accept Almighty God and enter The Church of Almighty God, you have entered the church of the Age of Kingdom. If you do not accept Almighty God and do not enter The Church of Almighty God, and you still reside in a church of the Age of Grace, then you cannot be saved. Is that understood? (Yes.) Is this difference easy to talk about? (Yes.)
Question 5: After we have talked about the three stages of work and the work of judgment, some potential gospel recipients feel that it is reasonable, but they feel that the content of our fellowship is too new. When they cannot find a biblical basis for the things we say, they will ask, “Where do these doctrines of yours come from?” If we do not answer this question well, they won’t continue to investigate. How can we answer this question more conclusively?
Answer: For every stage of God’s work, His work comes first, and only then are doctrines produced. Doctrines are not written in advance without God’s work. Is this not the case? (It is.) Then if a potential gospel recipient raises this question, you can say to them, “Where do the doctrines of the Age of Grace come from? Did they appear when God did the work of the Age of Law? If a person who believes in Jehovah asks you this question, what would you say? You should say, ‘We have no doctrines. We accepted the Lord Jesus because we saw His appearance and work. The existing doctrines now were compiled by experts and scholars based on the work and words of the Lord Jesus. They did not know whether the Lord Jesus approved of or agreed with these things, but they compiled these doctrines into books and brought them out to teach people.’ Therefore, doctrines are all compiled by people themselves and have not been approved or verified by God at all. It can be said that those doctrines are Satan misleading and disturbing people. Faith in God cannot be based on doctrines. If you believe in God based on doctrines, you will never gain the truth. You can only gain the truth by experiencing and pursuing according to God’s name and the truths expressed by God.” Is this okay to say? (It is.) Let’s then look at an example. Take a person who always asks others, “Who gave birth to you?” and when others respond, “My parents gave birth to me,” they then ask, “You say your parents gave birth to you, but what evidence do you have of this?” What do you think of this question? Is it not utterly absurd and foolish? (It is.) Then when a potential gospel recipient asks, “Where do your doctrines come from?” is this too not utterly absurd? So if they ask you this question, you should ask them, “Where do the doctrines you have faith in as a believer in the Lord Jesus come from? Did the Lord Jesus Himself tell you those things? Did the Lord Jesus say these things?” He did not. It was only after Christianity appeared that experts and scholars conducted specialized research to come up with these doctrines. But are the doctrines they have summarized valid? Do they conform to the words of the Lord Jesus? Does God determine a person’s outcome based on these doctrines? When God determines your outcome, will He ask you, “What are the doctrines of your belief in the Lord?” Will God say, “If you can explain the doctrines clearly, you can be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven. If you cannot explain them clearly, then you are to be destroyed and eliminated”? He will not. Therefore, when a potential gospel recipient asks you, “Where does this doctrine come from?” know that this question is not proper. If they ask, “Where have the truths you read come from? Who expressed them?” then they are asking questions that are realistic and proper. You can then fellowship with them, “These truths are all expressed by Almighty God. The Church of Almighty God is the church that came into being because of Almighty God’s expression of the truth and His appearance and work. Ever since Almighty God appeared and worked and began to speak His words, God’s sheep have come to hear God’s voice and have returned to Almighty God one after another, and they have begun to accept the personal watering and shepherding of Christ of the last days, Almighty God. The Church of Almighty God thus came into being. Therefore, in our church, there are no doctrines and we do not preach doctrines. We just eat and drink God’s words and experience and submit to God’s work. God has not required us to compile or memorize doctrines.” In the Age of Grace, those who believed in the Lord always preached doctrines. Did the Lord Jesus have them do this? Did the Lord Jesus say, “To believe in Me, you must know doctrines. If you do not understand doctrines, you are not a true believer in Me”? The Lord did not require people to abide by any doctrines. So if people always investigate God’s work based on these doctrines and do not accept the utterances of the Holy Spirit to the churches, are they not being foolish? If you do not believe in and follow God according to God’s requirements, you’ll just end up missing the opportunity to be saved, and you will be eliminated and punished by God. What do you think of this response? (It is good.)
Question 6: When we testify about God’s name, some potential gospel recipients say, “God has used the name ‘Almighty God’ before; it is not God’s new name for the last days.” We fellowship with them, saying, “Although the Old Testament did indeed mention the name ‘Almighty God,’ the Israelites still prayed in the name of Jehovah God.” However, fellowshipping like this tends not to get very good results. Is there a better way to resolve this notion?
Answer: Some potential gospel recipients say that God has used the name “Almighty God” before. What is their basis for saying this? Has God used the name “Almighty God” before? (No.) God has not used this name before, so are they not talking nonsense? (They are.) Perhaps they are basing this on a statement recorded in the Book of Isaiah: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), and so they believe that God has used the name “Almighty God” before. But you must know that this is just a prophecy, a prophecy of things to happen, and it does not mean that God has already used the name “Almighty God.” In fact, in the first two stages of His work, God only used the two names Jehovah and Jesus. It was not until the third stage, the work of the Age of Kingdom, that God used the name “Almighty God.” Then what evidence do you have that God has used the name “Almighty God” before? The people of the Age of Law all prayed to Jehovah God. Who prayed to Almighty God? The people of the Age of Grace all prayed to the Lord Jesus. Who prayed to Almighty God? No one prayed in the name of “Almighty God” in the Age of Law or in the Age of Grace, so how can you say that God has used this name before? If you say such a thing without any basis, are you not talking nonsense? (Yes.) Is this response to their question correct? (It is.) The name “Almighty God” has appeared in prophecies, but this does not mean that God has used this name before. For a person to say that God has used this name before is incorrect and completely invalid.
