How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (7)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – August 1, 2025 (Part Seven)

Question 17: When the scope of work I’m responsible for is large, I feel a sense of superiority, and I become arrogant and look down on other brothers and sisters. How can I resolve this kind of state?

Answer: The scope of work you’re responsible for may be large, but does this mean that you have truly done such work well or achieved results? (No.) Since it does not mean that you have done your work well or that you have achieved results in your work, then what do you have to be arrogant about? Do you have any capital to base your arrogance on? No matter how large the scope of work you are responsible for is or how high your status is, you should not be arrogant. You should first ask yourself, “God has allowed for such a large amount of work to be entrusted to me, but have I done it well? Have I achieved real results? If I haven’t, then I am not up to this work.” If you understand this clearly, will you still dare to boast? Will you still dare to regard yourself as having a high status? Will you still dare to think of yourself as better than others? You will not. If you are still boasting, then let me ask you, “How are the results of your work? Has the work of spreading the gospel achieved results? Have the problems and difficulties in the work you are responsible for been resolved? Have the brothers and sisters attained life entry? How many people now have experiential testimonies? Tell me about these things.” If the work you have done has not achieved real results and you are still boasting, then what is the problem? The problem is that you do not have truth realities. You are a false leader or a false worker who walks the path of an antichrist. You are a hypocritical Pharisee. Can we say this? (Yes.) You have just gained a little status, and you don’t even know if you can do the work well or what the results of your work will be, yet you have become arrogant. Is this not foolish arrogance? People who are always foolishly arrogant do not easily gain the work of the Holy Spirit, and as a result, a large amount of work is delayed in their hands, and there are no results achieved at all. At that time, can one account for oneself before God? Absolutely not, and such a person will be in danger of being punished. In your duty, you should always reflect on yourself, “How are the results of my work? The scope of work I am responsible for is so large, and there are so many brothers and sisters who need watering. Have they come to understand the truth? How many people have come to know themselves? How many have attained life entry? How many have become able to forsake everything to follow God? How many have become able to preach the gospel and testify to God? How many are still in a state of negativity and weakness? How many still do not know how to experience God’s work? How many still do not have the slightest discernment of false leaders and antichrists? If the brothers and sisters I’m responsible for are misled by a false leader or an antichrist, and thus follow this false leader or antichrist and betray God, then I will be the one responsible for this.” If you always reflect on these things, you will know your own measure, and you will not boast or show off, and you will not feel that you have any capital to flaunt. Is this not the case? (It is.) Tell me, I’m doing such a big job, but do I flaunt myself? (You do not.) The gospel has just begun to spread in various countries, but the gospel work has not yet been carried out in some countries. Most of God’s chosen people still cannot preach the gospel, and they are all in dire need of watering. The leaders and workers in various countries are also in dire need of watering. Therefore, I must step up my efforts to fellowship the truths of preaching the gospel so that most of you can preach the gospel and testify to God and spread the gospel. I must also have more gatherings with you to water you and provision you, so that you can all attain life entry and enter onto the right track of believing in God. Only then can my work be considered complete. Otherwise, I will be unable to account for myself before God. Right now, some people need to experience some judgment, chastisement, and pruning. If they do not, when they first come to serve as a leader, they will be arrogant and think of themselves as better than others. In reality, they do not have much of the truth reality, and they cannot solve many real problems. Tell me, for a leader or worker to always be arrogant and look down on other brothers and sisters, aren’t they not doing their proper work somewhat? Is this not a lack of reason? (It is.) Why do you not reflect on yourself? Is boasting and showing off when you have status in line with God’s intentions? Does God permit you to be a leader or worker so that you can indulge in the benefits of status? God has entrusted this duty to you to have you do real work, so why do you not do your work properly but instead indulge in the benefits of status? Is this not shameless? (It is.) If you cannot even understand this little thing, then you are utterly foolish.

When you accept a duty, you must seek why God has entrusted this duty to you and what God’s intentions are. In one respect, God is elevating you so that you may pursue the truth and do your duty well, while in another respect, based on your behavior, God is also revealing whether you submit to Him, and whether you follow His will. If you do not pursue the truth and instead walk the path of an antichrist, you will have to be punished. Therefore, before you have gained the truth, do not be foolishly arrogant. It is hard to say whether you can complete the work or align yourself with God’s intentions. You should pursue the truth properly, strive upward, and do your duty in a way that is up to standard. Only this is in line with God’s intentions. In fact, being a leader or worker is both a blessing and a woe. If you pursue the truth, then your being a leader or worker is you being perfected and saved, and this is a blessing. If you do not pursue the truth, then your being a leader or worker is you being revealed and eliminated, and so this blessing becomes a woe. This depends on a person’s pursuit. Can you see through to this matter now? (Yes.) Tell me, is finding a partner a blessing or a woe? Those who do not love the truth think of this as a blessing, and as something joyous, but they do not know that this is in fact a woe. The Lord Jesus said: “Woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck(Matthew 24:19). Because you found a partner and indulged your fleshly desires, you missed the great opportunity to pursue the truth. This has ruined your opportunity to be saved, and you have burst open the gates of hell. Tell me, is this a blessing or a woe? (It is a woe.) If you cannot even see through to this matter, then you are utterly foolish. Now that you have become a leader or worker and have status, don’t start by admiring yourself. You should seek to do this work well, and in the end, to complete God’s commission and gain God’s approval. Then this duty will be a blessing for you. If you cannot complete God’s commission and you even indulge in fleshly enjoyment and oppress your brothers and sisters, then you will be in woe, and you will be condemned and punished. Therefore, although it is a good thing for a person to be able to do their duty in God’s house, and it is a way for a person to gain God’s approval, if you do not pursue the truth, this duty will become a woe. If you pursue the truth, then a woe can also become a blessing. Some people do not understand this and say, “How can a woe become a blessing?” Let’s say you’ve not done your work well and have been pruned. Tell me, is this a woe or a blessing? (It is a blessing.) Let’s say you’ve not done your work well and have been dismissed. Tell me, is this a woe or a blessing? (It is a blessing.) Let’s say that everyone has come to reject you, saying that you do not have the truth reality, and that you are a Pharisee. Tell me, is this a woe or a blessing? (It is a blessing.) These things are not good in the eyes of man; they are woes. But for a person who can accept the truth, this bad thing becomes a good thing, because they can accept the truth, and in this situation, they can better seek the truth and know themselves, and in the end, they can attain true repentance. This is called turning a woe into a blessing. Just look at Job when he was tried. The people around him all thought, “Job, you must have offended God. Who among those who believe in God have encountered such things? Only you! You must have done a lot of bad things for you to be punished by God like this. This is a curse upon you.” But because Job had some knowledge of God, he did not judge God. Instead, he thanked and praised God, and thus he turned a woe into a blessing and gained God’s approval and blessing. So, what kind of person can turn a woe into a blessing? (A person who pursues the truth.) That’s right. A person who pursues the truth can accept the truth and submit to God. Such a person, even if they encounter a misfortune, can turn it into a good thing. This is what is meant by turning a woe into a blessing. Then what about those who do not love the truth? Because such a person may have some gifts and some eloquence, God’s chosen people elect them to be a leader or worker. But as soon as they attain this status, they become arrogant and think of themselves as capable. As a result, they just enjoy the benefits of status and they don’t pursue the truth. In the end, they don’t gain the truth, nor do they do their work well, and so they suffer a woe. It stands to reason that since such a person has accepted such a great commission, they should have better conditions to achieve gaining the truth and God’s approval, and they should also be more likely to gain great blessings, but they don’t pursue the truth and miss the opportunity to be blessed, so the blessing becomes a woe. So what determines whether a person receives a blessing or a woe? This is determined by the path that the person walks, and the path they walk is determined by their nature essence. The path walked by those who do not love the truth is a wrong path. They do not pursue the truth, and instead pursue fame, gain, and status, and as a result, they do not do their work well and can only suffer woe. The path walked by those who love the truth is a correct path. They can pursue and gain the truth, their work will thus become better and better, and they will gain God’s approval and blessing. Even if they encounter some misfortune, in the end, they are able to turn the woe into a blessing. We must all understand these things clearly, as this is very important in our choosing the correct path. Therefore, when a person becomes a leader or worker and gains status, they must not become arrogant. You must first ponder, “This duty I am doing is so important. How can I do it well? How can I satisfy God? How can I avoid becoming indebted to my brothers and sisters? How can I bear witness for God and satisfy God?” You must first consider these questions. If you consider these questions well, you will be able to choose to pursue the truth and walk the correct path. If you do not consider these questions well, then you are likely to walk the path of Paul. What is the outcome of walking the path of Paul? Elimination and punishment. Thus, all your previous efforts will have been in vain. Is this not the case? (It is.)

You must remember, the higher your status, the more you must have a heart that fears God and shuns evil. If you do not have a heart that fears God and shuns evil, then the higher your status, the more danger you will be in. It has been over thirty years now since Almighty God appeared and began to work. Tell me, among those who believe in God, how many have been cleared out for doing many evil deeds? How many false leaders who do not do real work have been dismissed and reassigned? Some, after being dismissed, are given another chance by God’s house to do work, but in the end, they still do not do real work and are dismissed again. Then, when they are given another chance, they are dismissed again. There is no knowing how many failures and falls such people have to go through before they truly repent, walk the path of pursuing the truth, and are able to do their duty well, and thus stand firm. Some do not repent and continue to walk the wrong path. Even when they do a little duty, they cause disruptions and disturbances, and God’s house never uses them again. Therefore, if a person who believes in God does not love or pursue the truth, it is very dangerous. God perfects those who love and pursue the truth. These people ultimately manage to align themselves with God’s intentions, and they can be of one heart and mind with God and spread the gospel, and gain God’s approval. In short, if a person loves the truth, then they will not walk the wrong path. Whatever transgressions they commit, they can reflect on and know themselves, and they can accept the truth and practice the truth. In this way, they can attain true repentance and not commit great evil. But if a person does not love the truth, then it is troublesome. I prune some people, and if my words are a little severe or unpleasant, they become negative and give up their work, and even try to get leverage over me. Tell me, what is the problem here? (They do not love or accept the truth.) This type of person is very troublesome. They cannot accept the truth. Therefore, no matter how you fellowship the truth or support them, those who do not love the truth will probably not be able to walk the correct path. It is the same as with some people who always report false numbers in their preaching of the gospel and always try to deceive God’s house and God: After God’s house discovers this, they are sent to B groups. Some among them can reflect on themselves and recognize that reporting false numbers in preaching the gospel constitutes an attempt to deceive God and an offense to God’s disposition. They can hate themselves and feel remorse, and after that, they no longer report false numbers. This is true repentance. But what do some others say? “I cannot go through any further experiences. I cannot believe in this God anymore. I will not believe anymore!” What does such a person mean when they say they cannot go through any further experiences? Is it that God’s words and work are difficult to experience, or is it that the truth is difficult to practice? It is neither. God’s words and work are not difficult to experience, and the truth is not difficult to practice. The crux of the matter is that this person doesn’t accept or practice the truth. God’s house has repeatedly told people that in doing their duty, they must not try to deceive God, and that they must instead speak the truth and do practical things. When preaching the gospel, the number of people they gain is the number they should report. Such a person cannot even abide by this little principle, and they can’t even refrain from reporting false numbers. It is clearly because such a person reports false numbers and tries to deceive God that they are dismissed, yet they still say that they cannot go through any further experiences and that they will not believe in God anymore. What is the problem here? (Such a person doesn’t accept the truth, and when their desires for blessings are dashed, they don’t want to go through any further experiences.) What does such a person mean when they say they “can go through further experiences”? They mean that no matter what they do, they mustn’t be pruned, exposed, condemned, or dealt with. To them, this means that whatever they feel like doing, it is all OK, and it is all right. Even if they are perfunctory and try to deceive God in their duty, this is also fine. This is the only way in which they are willing to believe in God and experience things. If God’s house always requires them to act according to principles and practice the truth, and forbids them from trying to fool or deceive God, then they cannot go through any further experiences; they will not believe anymore. Then was it God’s house that caused such a person to fall? (No. This is a problem of their nature essence. They were revealed.) Their being revealed and eliminated was caused by their not loving the truth and by their being averse to the truth. Who can be blamed for their unwillingness to practice the truth? No matter how you require them to practice the truth, they simply won’t practice it, and in the end, they themselves choose to stop believing in God. Is this not self-elimination? (It is.) Tell me, if such a person were to encounter a trial like Job’s, could they stand firm in their testimony? (No.) What would they say? They would surely complain, and grumble about why God was trying them in this way, and about why God was making them suffer. Look at Job when he was tried. He did not understand God’s intentions, and he asked himself, “All these things that the robbers have taken were given to me by God. Why did God give these things to me and then allow the robbers to take them away?” But Job was a man with reason. He said, “Although I do not understand why God has done this, what God has done is not wrong. God has been gracious to me for many years, and now it is only right for Him to take everything from me. I cannot complain about God. The name of God should be praised.” Although Job did not understand why God was doing what He was doing, he still thanked and praised God in his heart. Thus, the heart of Job was the best and the kindest heart. He was able to fear God and shun evil, and he was a perfect man. As for those who always report false numbers and even call on others to report false numbers—they have not suffered any great trials or refinements, and just because they were sent to B groups by God’s house for reporting false numbers and trying to deceive God, they say that they cannot go through any further experiences and they stop believing in God. So why do such people not reflect on and know themselves? This is what it means to not love the truth. Such people cannot practice the truth, and if you require them to do so, you can cause them to fall. They think that requiring them to practice the truth is not a justified requirement. They think, “I believe in God, and I can believe however I want. You can’t control me, nor can you prune or expose me. If I try to deceive God, you shouldn’t stand in my way. If I am perfunctory, you should not prune me. Only in that way can I go through further experiences. Otherwise, I will not believe in God anymore.” Tell me, what kind of logic is this? Is such a view on believing in God not absurd? (It is.) When such a person is pruned even a little, they say that they can’t go through any further experiences and stop believing in God. Thus, their life of faith in God comes to an end, and they are completely eliminated.

Question 18: There are a lot of leaders and workers who occupy themselves solely with their duties and neglect writing articles. Brother, please could you fellowship on the importance of writing articles in relation to the pursuit of life entry and salvation?

Answer: Tell me, is writing experiential testimony articles beneficial for a person’s life entry? (Yes.) The benefits are immense. If you cannot see through to the benefits of writing experiential testimony articles, you will not be willing to write them. You will think, “I am so busy with my duty; won’t writing articles delay my proper work?” But are you truly achieving life entry when you are so busy? Not necessarily. Sometimes you still have many problems and difficulties in your duty that you cannot resolve, but if you practice writing articles and ponder the truth until you understand it, you will have a path forward when you next do your duty. Your heart will be brightened, the truth will illuminate your heart and your path, and your problems and difficulties will be resolved. In addition, you are only busy with doing your duty, but you are not clear about whether your performance of the duty is actually in line with God’s intentions, whether there is a problem of working based on your own will, or whether you have achieved real results. Then you are liable to make mistakes in your duty. If you set aside some time in your duty to write articles, and you use this to ponder the truth and how to solve the problems that exist in your duty, then you will not only not be delaying your duty, but you will also be able to understand some truths and attain some life entry in the process of seeking the truth and solving these problems. This is not delaying either of these two things. In fact, there are many problems that need to be solved in one’s duty, and many truths that need to be understood. The more truths you understand, the more results your duty will yield. If you do not understand the truth, then no matter how busy you keep yourself, you will not achieve any results. Therefore, when you do your duty, you must always ponder how to do it in a way that is in line with the truth principles, and how to practice the truth in a way that will allow you to achieve results. If you are doing the duty of preaching the gospel, you must always ponder what the problems and notions of the potential gospel recipients are, and how to fellowship the truth to solve their notions and gain them. It’s just like a doctor treating a patient; they must find the root of the illness to be able to treat it. When you preach the gospel and you encounter the questions the potential gospel recipients raise and their notions, if you do not seek the truth and find the root of these problems, will you be able to gain them? If you just speak based on your own will and imaginings, they will not be convinced. Therefore, no matter how busy you are with your duty, you must often reflect on the results of your work. If the results of your work are poor, then in what way are they poor? Is this caused by a lack of understanding of the truth, or by other reasons? You must reflect on and ponder all of these things, find the root of the problems, and seek the truth to solve these matters. If you always practice in this way, your experience will be practical and rich, and you will gain the experience of using the truth to solve problems, the experience of seeking the truth when you encounter difficulties, the experience of knowing yourself and solving your corrupt dispositions, and the experience of knowing yourself and achieving devotion in your duty. Many matters in the performance of one’s duty involve the truth principles, and many difficulties must be solved by seeking the truth. If you can do things according to principles in your duty and if you can seek the truth to solve problems, is it still difficult to write experiential testimony articles? (No, it is not.) So, if you’ve been busy with your duty for several months but you can’t write any experiential testimony articles, what problem does this expose? You may not have been doing things in your duty according to principles. Your performance of your duty doesn’t constitute experiencing God’s work, practically reflecting on yourself, or practicing the truth, and so you’ve not gained any practical experience, and you’ve not received the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit. In your duty, you’ve just been keeping yourself busy on the outside, but your duty hasn’t achieved any real results. This proves that you have departed from God’s words, that you are walking your own path, and that you are working based on your own notions, imaginings, and fleshly preferences. But writing experiential testimony articles can help you avoid this problem, because in writing experiential testimony articles, you are constantly correcting the deviations in the performance of your duty, and this process makes you constantly reflect on the problems you need to solve and find the path by which to practice the truth. In this way, the results of your duty will become better and better. Everyone is very busy with their duties now, but can taking some time out to practice writing articles really impact the results of your duty? (No.) Not only will it not impact it, but because you practice writing articles, you will actually gain the truth to lead the way in the course of your duty, and the results of your duty will surely become better, and you will be able to achieve true life entry. Therefore, writing articles is the most beneficial thing you can do to become able to do your duty in a way that is up to standard, and it is also the most beneficial thing you can do for your life entry. Having said this, is this matter clear to you? (It is.)

So how can one write experiential testimony articles? One must pray and seek the truth during their regular performance of their duty, consciously experience God’s work, consciously reflect on themselves, consciously practice the truth and act according to principles. If you can practice in this way, you will be completely clear in your heart about how you are to experience every matter that comes upon you in your duty, how every difficulty is to be resolved, and how you are to finally achieve results. Therefore, with this roadmap you will have many experiential testimonies to write, and you will have so many things to write. Look, do I not have many things to tell you? (You do.) How many things do I have to tell you? I could speak for days and nights and not run out of things to tell you. Just as now, when I have gatherings with you, the four or five hours of each gathering is too short, and there are many things on which there is not enough time to speak in detail. But are the things I say beneficial to you? (They are.) Is there anything I say that is unrelated to life entry? (No.) These words are all things that I have experienced and come to know after years of being guided, enlightened, and illuminated by the Holy Spirit, so it is very easy for me to resolve your problems, and no matter how I speak, I can achieve results. Therefore, no matter what problem you encounter in your duty, you must pray to God and seek God, and you must seek the truth according to God’s words, and submit to the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit. Then you will have practical experience in every task you do, and no matter what topic is discussed, whether it is about doing your duty or experiencing God’s work, you will have endless things to say. Then will you still worry about having nothing to write when you write experiential testimonies? (No.) By that time, on whatever aspect of your experience you want to write about, you will have something to say. You will have things to write about your experience of accepting judgment and chastisement, you will also have things to write about your experience of knowing yourself, you will have things to write about your experience of submitting to God, you will have things to write about your experience of being an honest person, you will also have things to write about your experience of knowing God’s disposition, you will also have things to write about your experience of knowing God’s almightiness and wisdom, and you will also have things to write about why God became incarnate. You will have so many things to write. Is this not the result achieved through years of seeking the truth and receiving the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit? (It is.) In your performance of your duty, you must be earnest. When you encounter difficulties, seek the truth to solve them. Then you will always be able to receive the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit and you will always have a path of practice. In the end, the results of your duty will become better and better, the results of your preaching the gospel will become better and better, the results of your watering the church will become better and better, and then your gains will become great. When you gather and fellowship with people again, you will have endless things to say, and things you say will also be beneficial to people. There will not be a single empty word or doctrine, and everything you say will be words of practical experience, words from the heart. Then will it still be difficult for you to do the work? (No.) Will you still need to speak words and doctrines and spout rhetoric? No. You will have endless things to say just with these practical words. Then to achieve such a result, one must rely on experiencing God’s work, and on seeking and practicing the truth. One must be this earnest in their duty. Just look at me; no matter what topic I fellowship on in a gathering, I will later ponder the topic again to see if there is anything I didn’t explain thoroughly. If there are areas I didn’t explain thoroughly, after two days, I will hold another gathering to talk about the areas I did not explain thoroughly. After that, I will ponder again and see if there are any other details I didn’t mention, and then I will hold another gathering. After the gathering, I will ask everyone if they have any further questions. Once everyone says they have no further questions, and I myself also feel that I have thoroughly explained everything that needs to be said, then this is sufficient. If I find that there are holes in any work I have done or that what I have done is not ideal in some way, I will do it again. I will not rest until I have done what needs to be done well. If you too can work in this way, then the results of your duty will surely become better and better. Is this understood? (Yes.) If you think that doing work is an easy matter, and no matter what problem in the church you are solving, your attitude is, “I will solve this problem with just one gathering. I do not care if the results are good or not. In either case, I will have said my piece. There may be some places I might not have explained in too much detail, but I’ll just let the brothers and sisters figure it out for themselves,” what do you think of this attitude? This is irresponsible! To fellowship the truth and provide for people calls for one to pay a price. Some truths may have to be fellowshipped two or three times, or even four or five times, before even a slight result can be achieved. It is impossible to achieve results by fellowshipping only once. Therefore, after you have done your work, you must reflect on yourself and see what you didn’t do well, whether the gathering and fellowship achieved results, what aspects you achieved results in, and what aspects you did not achieve results in. For the places where results have not been achieved, you must hold another gathering to fellowship more. Never rest until results are achieved. If you work in this way, you will attain life entry.

With that said, today’s questions have all been answered, and we will conclude our gathering here. Goodbye! (Goodbye, brother!)
