How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (8)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – August 15, 2025 (Part Four)
Now, let’s begin answering some questions.
I. Questions Regarding the Preaching of the Gospel
Question 1: When we testify that the Lord Jesus will return in the flesh in the last days, some potential gospel recipients don’t understand this matter. They are unclear as to how Jesus Christ, who was already an adult, can be reborn on earth. As such, they find it difficult to accept the fact that the Lord Jesus would become incarnate a second time. How can we better resolve this notion?
Answer: This question is quite rare. I have not yet seen any religious people asking this question. The person asking this question thinks that rebirth means a person who has grown to be in their 20s or 30s, or their 40s or 50s, returns to their mother’s womb to be born again. Isn’t a person with this view utterly absurd? Do they not lack spiritual understanding? (They do.) Could the majority of people in the religious world really be this absurd? No. How could God’s return in the flesh possibly mean that same flesh being born again? That flesh had already become an adult, so how could it be born again? God’s Spirit returning in the flesh means that God has once again put on a flesh and come to the world of man. This is not called rebirth, but returning in the flesh. This is incarnation. So, the understanding of incarnation held by those religious people who lack spiritual understanding is utterly distorted. Remember! God becoming incarnate refers to God’s Spirit putting on a flesh and coming to the world of man. The first time God’s Spirit put on a flesh and came to the world of man was in the Age of Grace, two thousand years ago. The second time God’s Spirit has put on a flesh is in the Age of Kingdom, in the last days. God Himself will choose the kind of flesh God’s Spirit puts on, whether it is in the image of someone from the East or the West, a Jew or a Chinese person, based on the needs of His work. This is not something people need to worry about. This time, God has put on a flesh and come again, and the flesh He is in is no longer that of the Lord Jesus, but that of an Asian person. But why is it said that this is the return of the Lord Jesus? This refers to the return of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus; it is that the Spirit of the Lord Jesus has once again put on a flesh and returned to the world of man to do His work. The Spirit of the Lord Jesus has once again put on a flesh and come to the world of man to do His work. This has nothing at all to do with the flesh of the Lord Jesus. Almighty God and the Lord Jesus have different names, but They are two fleshes worn by the same Spirit. So, tell me, does the appearance and work of Almighty God mean that the Lord Jesus has returned? (It does.) Is this easy to understand? (Yes.) People who lack spiritual understanding have a distorted comprehension, so they cannot understand this. The return of the Lord Jesus is not a matter of whether a certain person has been reborn, but a matter of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus becoming incarnate and coming again. Let me give you an example. Say you see a person die; though this person’s fleshly body has died, has their soul died? (No.) Their soul has not died. Instead, the soul returns to the spiritual realm. After returning to the spiritual realm, it is one day reincarnated as a person. This time, their appearance is not quite the same as their appearance the last time they were reincarnated, but are they the same soul? (They are.) It is still the same soul. I tell you, every person’s soul has come to the world of man many times. Whether as an important historical figure or an ordinary person, every person’s soul has come to the world of man countless times. These souls are reincarnated as people, and when it is their time to die, they die. Not long after they die, they are reincarnated into another family. In this way, they keep coming and going, going and coming, reincarnating a countless number of times. This is how humankind has continued to this day. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, God’s Spirit becoming incarnate twice means that God’s Spirit has become a person and descended to the world of man twice. The first time was the Lord Jesus in the Age of Grace, and the second time is Almighty God in the Age of Kingdom. Their fleshly appearances are different, and while the Lord Jesus had the appearance of a Jew, and Almighty God has the appearance of a Chinese person, the Spirit is one and the same. It is this one Spirit who has once again put on a flesh to appear and work. So can this be called the rebirth of the Lord Jesus? This is not rebirth. Religious people call this “rebirth,” but this word is being used incorrectly. It’s completely wrong! God’s Spirit once again putting on a flesh and coming to the world of man has nothing to do with rebirth, rather, it is a return in the flesh. Returning in the flesh is always done by means of reincarnation, not by having an adult shrink down and return to their mother’s womb to be born again. That would not conform to objective laws. Is this not the case? (It is.)
If you encounter this kind of person who lacks spiritual understanding and misuses spiritual terms, how should you answer their questions? You must first explain to them clearly what soul reincarnation is, and only then can they understand the meaning of Christ returning in the flesh. You see, the Bible prophesies that many saints are to be resurrected in the last days. Can people who lack spiritual understanding comprehend this? They think that the resurrection of the saints refers to their fleshly bodies being resurrected. Is this not distorted? The fleshly bodies of those saints disappeared long ago, so can they be resurrected? Thus, the resurrection of the saints does not refer to their fleshly bodies being resurrected, but to their souls being reincarnated. So are there any marks that the souls of these saints have been reincarnated? For example, are there any marks that John or Peter have been reincarnated? This is a mystery, and it is of no use for us to know these mysteries, so God has not told us. So tell me, who were God’s chosen people in various countries in their past lives? Perhaps they were also people who believed in the Lord. Generally, the souls of those who believe in the Lord will believe in the Lord every time they are reincarnated in the world. The souls of Buddhists will generally return to Buddhism every time they are reincarnated, and the souls of those who engage in politics will generally engage in politics again every time they are reincarnated. But there are also exceptions. Some souls engaged in politics in one life and were punished, and after that, when they were reincarnated, they no longer engage in politics. Some who did too much evil fell into hell, never to be redeemed. But in any case, every person has been reincarnated countless times; it’s just that they have a different image each time, or perhaps a similar image, but not completely the same in appearance. Some people are female in this life, and male in the next life. This is how reincarnation is. The Bible prophesies that the saints of all ages will be resurrected, and this means that all these saints of all ages will be reincarnated as people in the last days. But people in the religious world who lack spiritual understanding say that the resurrection of the saints means that the dead will come out of their graves. Their fleshly bodies have long since rotted away and turned to dust, so can they become people and come out again? Such a thing isn’t going to happen! This is utter nonsense! Tell me, if they cannot even understand the resurrection of the saints and soul reincarnation, can they understand what it means for God to return in the flesh and to become incarnate? (No.) People who lack spiritual understanding are very difficult to deal with! Is this not the case? (It is.) So is there any need to go into more detail on this question? (No.)
Question 2: The Lord Jesus said that after He left, He would send a Comforter, and that this Comforter descended on the day of Pentecost. Therefore, some potential gospel recipients believe that the words of the Bible: “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7), refer to the descent of the Comforter on Pentecost, and don’t imply that God will become incarnate again in the last days. How should we answer this question?
Answer: What work did the Comforter who descended on Pentecost do? Did He express the truth? (No.) The Comforter who descended on Pentecost just did some things to move, enlighten, and guide people, but He did not do the work of expressing the truth. This is well known to all. The Holy Spirit has become incarnate in the last days to do the work of expressing the truth. If you do not acknowledge this fact, then given that the incarnate Son of man, Almighty God, has expressed nearly ten million words of truth, can you tell me where all these truths come from? (The Holy Spirit.) They were expressed by the Holy Spirit. So, can the truths expressed by Almighty God be spoken by any human? No human can speak them. Therefore, although on the surface these words are expressed by the incarnate Son of man, to be precise, they are the words of the Holy Spirit to the churches, fulfilling the prophecy in the Book of Revelation: “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). If you do not listen to the truths expressed by the Holy Spirit in the last days, and still want to gain the truth through the work done by the Comforter in the Age of Grace, then gaining the truth in this way is impossible. The Comforter did not do the work of expressing the truth in the last days. If He had, would the Holy Spirit still express words in the last days? He would not. So where do these words expressed by Almighty God come from? Can you deny that the source of these words is the Holy Spirit? (No.) If you treat all the truths expressed by Almighty God as the words of a person, and do not acknowledge that these are the words of the Holy Spirit to the churches, and you think that what the Comforter in the Age of Grace said is the words of the Holy Spirit to the churches, then where are the words of the Comforter? What truths did He express? Can you bring them forth? You cannot. So what is the problem with you denying that these truths expressed by Almighty God are the expression of the Holy Spirit? This is blindness, and shows that you don’t know the work of the Holy Spirit. If people cannot see that all the truths expressed by Almighty God are the expression of the Holy Spirit and the voice of God, then they are blind, and do not know the work of the Holy Spirit. Is it valid to say this? (It is.) So, for people who have this kind of question, you should ask them in return, “Almighty God has expressed so many truths. Are these truths not from the Holy Spirit?” If they say they are not, then they are blind and do not know the work of the Holy Spirit. There are two kinds of people who do not accept Almighty God: The first kind is the kind of person who lacks spiritual understanding and doesn’t know the work of the Holy Spirit, and the second is the kind of person who is averse to and hates the truth, and who will not accept the truth no matter what. These are the two kinds of people who do not accept Almighty God. There is therefore no need to pay attention to these people. No matter how much you fellowship the truth with them, they will not accept it. Do you understand this? (Yes.) Then we will not go into any further detail on this question.
Question 3: Recently, I encountered several potential gospel recipients who insisted that God does not need to become incarnate again in the last days. They based their saying this on John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” They believed that the Lord Jesus is the Son of God, that He has already redeemed mankind, and that as long as we accept the Lord’s name, we are saved. How can we refute this issue more conclusively?
Answer: To be precise, the “Son of God” mentioned in this verse from the Gospel of John refers to the incarnate God. So, you cannot believe in only one of God’s two incarnations; you must believe in and accept both. This is what it means to truly believe in the “Son of God.” If you only believe in the Lord Jesus but do not accept God’s second incarnation, what mistake are you making? Do you dare to say that only believing in the Lord Jesus is believing in the “Son of God,” and that believing in the returned incarnate Christ—Almighty God—is not? Is this statement correct? (No.) This statement is incorrect. There is another key point. The Lord Jesus prophesied: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). What is the meaning of this prophecy? In what context did the Lord Jesus say these words? When the Lord Jesus said these words, He was about to be crucified, which meant He was about to leave His disciples. The disciples asked the Lord Jesus, “When will You come again?” The Lord Jesus then spoke these words. These words were spoken to those who longed for the Lord’s return, for His blessings, and to enter the kingdom with Him. The meaning of these words is, “You hope to gain from Me the truths by which to enter the kingdom of heaven, but when My work is finished, I will leave. If you want to enter the kingdom of heaven, you must wait for My return. In other words, you must wait for the God who expresses the truth to come. He will guide you into all truths, and at that time, your hope in believing in the Lord can be realized, and you will have the opportunity to receive the blessings you deserve.” This is the meaning of the Lord Jesus’ prophecy. Therefore, if you can welcome the God who expresses the truth in the last days, and if you can accept and gain all the truths He expresses, then the blessings of the kingdom of heaven you hope to receive can be realized. If you cannot welcome this God who expresses the truth, then your faith will have been in vain; no matter how much you believe in the Lord it will be futile, and all your previous efforts will be wasted. So, you should say to potential gospel recipients, “The Lord Jesus personally prophesied that when He returns, He will express all truths and lead people into all truths. Almighty God has come and expressed all truths, fulfilling the prophecy of the Lord Jesus. If you do not believe in or accept Almighty God, and you think that by believing in the Lord Jesus your sins are forgiven and you have gained eternal life, then you are denying the prophecy of the Lord Jesus.” Is this a good way to put it? (Yes.) Tell me, did the Lord Jesus really say, “Regardless of whether you can welcome the Lord’s return, as long as you believe in Me and your sins are forgiven, you will surely be able to enter the kingdom of heaven and gain eternal life”? (No.) The Lord Jesus did not say this. If you just cling to the name of the Lord Jesus and refuse to accept the God who expresses the truth in the last days, then your hopes of entering the kingdom of heaven will come to nothing, and you will go to hell and be punished. So, if you stubbornly cling to the name of the Lord Jesus and are punished in the end, who will you blame? At that time, the Lord Jesus will say, “I told you, you just had to wait for the Spirit of truth to come, and He would guide you into all truths. Why did you not welcome Him? Why did you not listen to Me?” You do not welcome the Lord based on God’s words, but instead take the words of humans as your basis. If you end up being eliminated, you’ll only have yourself to blame! What do you think of answering this question like this? (This is a good response.)
Question 4: When we testify that the Lord Jesus has returned, we bear witness to the fact that Almighty God’s words are the voice of God. Some potential gospel recipients feel at that moment that God has returned, but afterward, most of them remain uncertain as to whether God has returned. How should we fellowship on the truth of the Lord’s return so that people can feel brightened, touched, and certain that God has truly returned?
Answer: First, you must clearly see what kind of person this potential gospel recipient is. If they are numb and dull-witted in their spirit, then no matter what you say, they will be muddled. It is not easy for such people to let go of their notions, and it is not easy for them to accept and understand the truth. The Christian pastor Brandon once spoke a prophecy, “The Lord revealed to me, ‘These people’s hearts are waxed gross, and they are fast asleep. It is useless to just call out to them, for they will not wake up. You must shake them vigorously to awaken them.’” The “shaking” mentioned here is just a figure of speech, and it refers to the fact that these people are in a very deep sleep. When you preach the gospel, if you only let people hear God’s words, you will not achieve results. They hear these words and think they might be the truth and from God, but if they have no experience, they cannot be one hundred percent certain that these are God’s words. Is that not the case? (It is.) There is a common saying among nonbelievers: “What you hear is unreliable; only what you see is real.” Such potential gospel recipients are like this. If they only hear God’s words, it is not easy for them to believe. They have to see God with their own eyes, and they have to see God perform a miracle or a wonder with their own eyes, before they can believe in Him. This is the case for most who believe in the Lord. They have to see the Lord Jesus’ transfigured form after His resurrection from the dead before they can confirm that the Lord Jesus is God. You see, Thomas heard so many sermons from the Lord Jesus, but in his heart, he did not acknowledge that the Lord Jesus was God. When the disciples testified to him that the Lord had resurrected, the first thing Thomas said was, “That is impossible!” He did not believe. Peter and Mary clearly told him, “We have seen the Lord. The Lord has indeed resurrected,” but he still did not believe. Tell me, were Peter and Mary lying? They were not. They were not liars. So why did Thomas stubbornly insist that what he was being told was impossible? What was the problem here? It was that he held to one view in his heart, “As long as I have not seen the Lord Jesus resurrected with my own eyes, there’s nothing you can say that will convince me. I must see this with my own eyes, and I must put my hand into His side and touch the nail marks before I can believe.” Most people have this kind of view in their belief in God. They hold to the idea that “What you hear is unreliable; only what you see is real.” Only a few people can be completely certain that Almighty God is God just by relying on the truths He expresses, but there are not many such people who have spiritual understanding.
Tell me, why are there so many people among corrupt humankind who believe in false gods and evil spirits? Can false gods and evil spirits express the truth? Can they lead people onto the right path? (No.) So why do so many people believe in them? It is because false gods and evil spirits can perform miracles and wonders, heal people’s illnesses, and bring benefits to people. Furthermore, most people believe in God to gain benefits and advantages, and there are few who truly believe in God to pursue the truth. So, no matter what false god or evil spirit it is, as long as it can perform miracles and wonders, many people will believe in it, without any doubt at all. Is that not the case? (It is.) But in this stage of work, Almighty God does not perform a single miracle or wonder. Since He only expresses the truth to save people, many people do not believe in or accept Him. Then why does Almighty God not perform miracles and wonders now that He has come? Who can see through to this mystery? (It is to block out those who do not love the truth, so that they can never enter the gates of God’s house.) That’s more or less it. The main reason is that this time, God becomes incarnate to save those who love and can accept the truth. Such people can accept the God who only expresses the truth. Those who do not love the truth will not accept Him no matter what, unless God performs miracles and wonders for them. Only then can they believe. If God gives them some grace and heals their illnesses, they will believe immediately. If God grants whatever they pray and ask for, they will believe immediately. Even if God only answers one or two of their prayers, they will believe right away. But God does not work that way, and no matter how people pray, God will not do that. This is because God does not save those who are averse to the truth, and He only saves those who love and accept the truth. So, in this stage of work, God does not perform miracles and wonders, and this prevents those who are averse to the truth from entering the gates of God’s house. Tell me, is this not God’s wisdom? (It is.) So what is it that makes those who can accept Almighty God accept Him? They accept God’s work because they love the truth, and because they recognize that the words of Almighty God are the truth. These are the wise virgins who can recognize God’s voice. Why is it that the wise virgins can recognize God’s voice? The wise virgins can discover the truth, and they recognize that the words expressed by Almighty God are the truth, and so they accept Him. They know that the truth can only come from God, and that no one besides God can express the truth. They have become certain of this point, so they are firmly convinced that Almighty God is the incarnate God. God saves such people. Such people are the wise virgins, the sheep of God. Do you understand this? (Yes.) Even if people who do not love the truth accept Almighty God, they will be a constant source of trouble. One day they might be weak, the next they might have notions, and the day after, they’ll no longer want to believe. Their belief in God is a pursuit of grace and benefits. When they see that believing in Almighty God is about pursuing and understanding the truth, they think, “Can understanding the truth be used like money? Can understanding the truth save me from any suffering? Can understanding the truth let me enjoy the benefits of status? Can understanding the truth enable my flesh to eat well, live well, and indulge itself? If none of these things can be achieved with the truth, then why should I pursue the truth?” This is the mentality of those who do not love the truth. When these people have believed in Almighty God for a long time, their state of being averse to the truth comes out, and they feel, “Believing in Almighty God means fellowshipping on the truth every day, listening to God’s words every day, talking about life entry every day, and talking about doing one’s duty every day. Believing in God this way is meaningless! I’m not reaping any benefits at all! It’s a waste of time and effort!” For some people who have believed in God for one or two years, although they admit that God’s words are the truth, because they are not interested in the truth in their hearts, their faith gradually grows cold, and in the end, they withdraw. The main reason these people withdraw is that they do not love the truth. So if God performed miracles and wonders for them, would they still withdraw? They would absolutely not, no matter what. But in this stage of work, God does not perform miracles and wonders. If He did, it would be keeping these people who are averse to the truth in His house. Wouldn’t that be disrupting and disturbing His own work? This would be detrimental to God’s work of perfecting people, so God does not work that way. He only expresses the truth and does not perform miracles and wonders, thereby eliminating these people who do not love the truth. So, if God does not perform miracles and wonders, where does people’s faith in God come from? It comes from God’s words. People who love the truth see that God’s words are all the truth, and they gain knowledge of God’s work, thinking to themselves, “Wow! God’s judgment and chastisement can truly change people, cleanse their corrupt dispositions, save people from Satan’s influence, enable people to attain sanctification, and make people completely return to God. God expressing these truths is God’s love, the greatest salvation, and the greatest miracle and wonder. What else could we ask for? Don’t we believe in God to gain the truth, to gain life, and to gain eternal life? It is enough for us to gain these truths expressed by God. This miracle and wonder is truly great! The results it achieves are far greater than the miracles and wonders performed by the Lord Jesus.” Therefore, the more people who love the truth eat and drink God’s words, the greater their faith in God becomes, and the more they eat and drink God’s words, the more faith they have in pursuing the truth and in being saved. What about those who do not love the truth? They become negative after suffering setbacks and failures, thinking, “This path is not easy to walk. I have to suffer much hardship, especially the hardship of being pruned, which isn’t easy to bear. I have suffered much hardship and paid a great price in my duty, but in the end, I still end up being pruned, and I haven’t received any approval or blessings. It isn’t easy to follow Almighty God!” So they withdraw and stop believing. Then what do they lose by not believing? What do they gain? They lose eternal life and eternal blessings, and they gain perdition and eternal curses. Given that you betray the truth, can you still have a good outcome? No. You are completely finished, and you deserve to be cursed. In the last days, God only uses the truth to save people. The truth does not treat anyone unfairly. If you pursue and gain the truth, the truth will save you, and then you will have a connection to entering the kingdom of heaven and to all blessings. You will be able to gain all these things. If you do not pursue the truth and instead betray the truth, then all the blessings of believing in God will have no connection to you, and you will go to perdition for all eternity. Therefore, whether one can gain the truth determines their fate, outcome, and destination.
