How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (8)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – August 15, 2025 (Part Five)
Question 5: When we testify that God will become incarnate again when He comes, religious people always ask, “Where in the Bible does it say that God will become incarnate a second time?” Although we have shared with them the verses prophesying the “coming of the Son of man” and told them that “the Son of man” refers to God’s incarnation, they are not completely convinced. How can we better answer this question?
Answer: Regardless of whether people can understand the meaning of the term “incarnation,” the Lord Jesus said that He will come again, and no one can deny this. So how will He come again? There are two prophecies in the Bible about the Lord’s return: One is that He will come like a thief before the catastrophes, which is to say, He will become incarnate as the Son of man and appear to do His work, and the other is that He will descend on a cloud after the catastrophes, publicly appear to all peoples, and reward the good and punish the evil. So, do you want to welcome God before or after the catastrophes? This depends on your own choices. If you do not welcome God when He secretly descends before the catastrophes, but insist on waiting until God publicly appears after the catastrophes and on seeing His spiritual body descend with your own eyes before you believe, then you will not be blessed. You will never welcome the Lord’s return, and you will be condemned by God. Therefore, how the Lord will come and how people can welcome Him are great mysteries, and God’s wisdom is hidden within them. So what kind of people can welcome the Lord? The wise virgins. The wise virgins can hear God’s voice, so they can welcome the Lord. This is related to God’s predestination. Whoever God predestines to be able to accept the Lord’s return can do so. If God has not predestined a person to accept it, they cannot, and no matter how you try to persuade them, it is useless. They have no predestined connection to God’s return, or to the incarnate God. This matter is preordained by God. Whoever can discover where the truth appears can see God’s appearance and work. These people are those who are predestined and chosen by God. If you cannot discover the truth, then you are blind. If you cannot see God’s appearance and work, you face being condemned and eliminated by God. God has expressed so many truths and yet you cannot discover them—so how can you welcome God? You are daydreaming. Aren’t all those who hope for God to descend on a cloud and for themselves to be directly caught up into the kingdom of heaven just dreaming? In the prophecies about the Lord’s return in the Bible, the term that appears most frequently is “the Son of man.” This is God’s prophecy, and it was clearly stated by the Lord Jesus. Why do you deny it? If you do not acknowledge God’s incarnation, it is fine if you can acknowledge the Son of man. The Son of man refers to God incarnate. If you acknowledge the Son of man, you can also welcome the Lord. But now you do not even accept the Son of man, and you are waiting specifically for the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus to come again and appear to you. If this is the case, you are finished, and your welcoming the Lord has become a dream that can never be realized.
Question 6: Believers from the Eastern Orthodox Church think it’s a great sin to convert to another denomination, and that being rebaptized is also a sin. If they convert to believe in Almighty God, it means they can no longer go to their original church, and they might also need to be rebaptized. They feel this would be a sin, so they dare not accept God’s work of the last days. How can we better fellowship to resolve this issue?
Answer: Those of the Eastern Orthodox Church believe it is a great sin to convert to another denomination. Is there a basis for this in the Bible? Is this confirmed by the words of the Lord Jesus? (No.) It is not, so this is a heresy and fallacy of the Eastern Orthodox Church. According to this view of the Eastern Orthodox Church, it would be wrong for people to believe in Christianity, wrong to believe in Catholicism, and wrong to believe in other house churches, and only believing in the Eastern Orthodox Church would be correct. Is this view correct? This is the devilish talk of Satan to mislead people. So, if you believe the devilish talk of the Eastern Orthodox Church, are you not being foolish? (Yes.) The leaders of the Eastern Orthodox Church casually say a fallacy and you believe what they say to be the truth. Why do you not assess it against the Bible, against God’s words? Why do you not seek and investigate for yourself whether this is the true way? If you have determined that this is the true way, then can accepting the true way be a sin? Let me give you an example. It’s like two people who are not walking the same path. After getting married, they are always having conflicts and fights, and in the end, they get divorced. But is divorce a sin? No, it is permitted by law, and it is not a sin. In addition, according to this view of the Eastern Orthodox Church, if you believe in Jehovah God, and one day the Messiah—the Lord Jesus—comes, and you believe in the Lord Jesus, is that not also converting to another denomination? Is that not also a sin because you already believe in Jehovah? So, is this view of the Eastern Orthodox Church not utterly absurd and ridiculous? (It is.) Converting to another denomination is not a sin. As long as people can seek the truth, find the source of the truth, and ultimately come before God, then this path is the correct one. If God comes to do new work and you do not accept it, and you cling to your original religion, whether it be the Eastern Orthodox Church, Judaism, or any other religion, you will surely die, because you are betraying God. This is a great sin, and God will condemn you for it and send you to hell forever. So, if you accept God’s work of the last days and no longer go to the Eastern Orthodox Church, and as a result, you are condemned by the people of the Eastern Orthodox Church, are you truly being condemned? (No.) Does their condemnation of you mean anything? Are they the Lord who judges and condemns people? Can they decide people’s outcomes? They do not have that power. Is this not the case? (It is.) Therefore, this absurd theory of the Eastern Orthodox Church should not be listened to, and much less should you be constrained by it.
Question 7: We are organizing mass in-person preaching of the gospel, but some of those who listen to the sermons deliberately cause disturbances. They always raise various questions to spread their notions, impacting some of the listeners and causing them to leave halfway through. We don’t know what to do in such situations. Brother, could you please fellowship with us on how to handle these people who disrupt gatherings?
Answer: You must have wisdom in preaching the gospel. It won’t do for you to be without wisdom. To make mass preaching effective, you must first be able to fellowship on the truth to attract people, and second, you must be able to refute those who cause disturbances and put them to shame. If they raise questions and you refute them conclusively and thoroughly, they will immediately think, “Wow, this person is formidable. Their answers have put me to shame,” and then they will not dare to raise any more questions. That’ll shut them up, right? (Yes.) But if you just keep avoiding them, they will think you are afraid of them, and they will keep raising questions to cause disturbances. So you must not be afraid of them, and you must strike back when you should. You can also tell them, “You can wait until I have finished fellowshipping on these words to raise your questions. I will answer your questions separately, okay? Please respect everyone else and do not interfere with their listening to the sermon, okay?” If you remind them in this way and they still do not listen and continue to cause disturbances, then you should use the most powerful words to refute them and put them to shame. This will do the trick.
Question 8: I know that all the work of a leader is related to gospel work, but due to time constraints, I always find myself doing church work and very little gospel work, and I don’t know how to attend to both. Brother, could you please fellowship with us on how to put the statement “Doing church work is doing gospel work, and doing gospel work is doing church work” into practice?
Answer: There is a common saying in China, “Shouldering the responsibilities of both a father and a mother.” I don’t know if you have heard of it. It means that in some families with special circumstances, one of the spouses is not at home and cannot take care of the family, so the other one has to fill the roles of both father and mother, shouldering the responsibilities of both. On the one hand, they have to take care of the children, and on the other, they have to work and earn money. Is this not shouldering the responsibilities of both a father and a mother? (It is.) So is doing church work related to gospel work? (Yes.) Doing church work is bringing people before God and fellowshipping on the truth with them so that they can understand the truths of visions and the path of life entry, and ultimately be able to preach the gospel and bear witness to God. Is this not cultivating people to preach the gospel? Is this not paving the way for gospel work? (It is.) If, in church life, you fellowship on the truths of visions and enable people to know God’s work, the incarnation, the work of judgment, and so on, are these truths you water people with not useful for them in preaching the gospel? (They are.) When brothers and sisters understand these truths, they will become certain of God, and they will begin to experience God’s work with peace of mind and strive and work hard to gain the truth, and they will have peace of mind as they do their duty and preach the gospel to bear witness to God. So if you fellowship on the truths of life entry in church life, and God’s chosen people come to understand these truths, will this be useful for them in their preaching of the gospel? (Yes.) Preaching the gospel also requires people to speak of their personal life experiences to bear witness to God. The truths of life entry are also useful for preaching the gospel. So is all the work of the church not in service of gospel work? (It is.) Therefore, no matter what aspect of the truth you water people with when you do church work, whether you are preaching on the truths of visions or the truths of life entry, it is all paving the way and laying the foundation for gospel work. Is this not right? (It is.) You lead a church for a year or two, constantly watering people with the truth, and in the end, some people say, “I have come to understand the truths of visions, I now have life entry, I can preach the gospel, and I can also talk about my experiential testimonies to people!” Once the statures of these people have grown, they can preach the gospel. It is clear that church work is paving the way for gospel work, and that it is laying the foundation and groundwork for preaching the gospel. The work that church leaders should do now is to promptly water and provide people with all the truths that should be understood for the preaching of the gospel, so that people can understand these truths. Preaching the gospel requires speaking of life entry and experiential testimonies, so when you’re organizing the church life, you must train people to speak about their experiential testimonies and to learn to know themselves. Therefore, church work and gospel work are closely linked and cannot be separated from one another. So, is what I am fellowshipping with you today useful for you in your preaching of the gospel? (It is.) No matter what aspect of the truth is fellowshipped on, it can be used in preaching the gospel. You can use fellowship on the truths of visions in preaching the gospel, you can use fellowship on resolving people’s notions and deviations in service in preaching the gospel, and even more so, you can use fellowship on the truths of life entry and knowing oneself in preaching the gospel. Every aspect of the truth can be used. Therefore, doing church work and doing gospel work are not in conflict with one another. If you can truly do church work well, then you are guaranteed to be able to preach the gospel. If you can truly preach the gospel, and if you can fellowship clearly on the truths of visions and life entry, then you can also be a church leader and do church work well. Is this not the case? (It is.) This is what is meant by the idea that once you master one thing, a hundred others open up to you. Tell me, if I can fellowship on the truths of life entry, can I preach the gospel? (Yes.) If I can preach the gospel, can I do church work? (Yes.) So why is it that some people can only preach the gospel but cannot do church work? What is the problem here? (They have no life entry.) (They do not truly understand the truth. They can only speak on the literal meaning of some truths of visions.) Then some people say they can do church work but cannot preach the gospel. Why is that? (Such people are not truly able to do church work. This is also related to their sense of burden. They are not considerate of God’s intentions, and they do not have a sense of burden for preaching the gospel within them, so they are not willing to train in preaching the gospel.) I used to often say, “Leaders and workers who don’t know how to preach the gospel and cannot gain people in their gospel preaching are all false leaders and false workers.” Is this statement correct? (Yes.) As long as you understand this, that’s fine. So is the solution to this problem clear now that I have fellowshipped on it in this way? (Yes.)
II. Questions Regarding Life Entry
Question 9: I like to enjoy the benefits that come with status, such as being idolized, favored, and given special treatment, so I always like to pursue status, but I don’t want to walk the path of an antichrist. How should I view the benefits that come with status correctly? What is the true value and essence of status?
Answer: The person who asked this question has had a bit of an awakening, which is a good thing. It shows that this person has a sense of conscience. False leaders and antichrists do not have any sense of conscience, and no matter what wrong things they do or what wrong paths they walk, they do not awaken. In addition, the main reason this person was able to awaken is that they can accept the truth. It is the truth that has awakened them. False leaders and antichrists do not accept the truth at all, so no matter how you fellowship on the truth, you cannot awaken them. Even if you prune them harshly, they will not come to their senses, and they remain steadfastly unrepentant. The person who asked this question has awakened. They have a sense of conscience, they can accept the truth, and they have begun to choose to walk the correct path. This person has hope of being saved. Those who can accept the truth are the best people.
So how should one correctly view the benefits that come with status? What do the things that status brings to people prove? Do these things mean that a person has the truth reality or that God approves of them? (They do not.) So why do brothers and sisters envy you, favor you, and treat you well because you have status? Because they too love and revere status, they envy people with status, so they admire and approve of whoever has status. But if they have humanity and conscience and see that a person with status does not have the truth reality and cannot lead them onto the right track of faith in God, will they still envy them? Will they still favor them? (No.) Not only will they not envy them, but they will also detest them and spurn them. Is that not the case? (It is.) So does status actually have any value? It does not. It only satisfies your vanity. Your having status does not mean that you have gained the truth, nor does it mean that you have the truth reality, much less does it mean that you meet with God’s approval. So, can having status affect people negatively? (Yes.) What kinds of negative effects can it bring about? When people have status, they become arrogant and conceited, and think they are exceptional and better than anyone else. In their hearts, they think, “Only I can lead you. Without me, you cannot enter the kingdom. You must worship and follow me.” When people have this mentality, is it not a manifestation of an antichrist? (It is.) Therefore, the consequence of enjoying the benefits of status is that people are more prone to walking the path of an antichrist. This is not a good thing. If a person has no sense of conscience or reason, and does not love or pursue the truth, then once they have status, it will be a big problem. If everyone favors, worships, flatters, fawns over, and lauds them, they can float up to the heavens, and then they will fall into the bottomless pit. Is this consequence not severe? (It is.) You see, Paul wrote many epistles to show off how far he had traveled and how much he had suffered. What consequences did this bring? After reading his epistles, many believers began to worship him, and the voices of praise for him grew louder and louder. They wrote to him, saying, “Paul, after reading your epistles, our hearts are filled with infinite worship for you. In our hearts, you are like a rising star. With a shepherd like you to lead us and your epistles to teach us, we will surely gain eternal life.” This is how much they lauded and worshiped Paul. What did Paul think after reading these letters? He pondered, “Wow, I never thought so many people would worship, envy, and emulate me. So do I live as Christ? This must be the case!” You see, Paul became smug. He felt he was amazing, that he was the greatest among the apostles, and that he was much higher than Peter. Therefore, he looked down on Peter and did not take anyone seriously. Thus, he came to walk the path of an antichrist. Paul walked the path of an antichrist because, on the one hand, his nature essence did not love the truth, and on the other, after he had done some work and written some epistles, there were many voices worshiping and envying him, causing him to become arrogant, and to even dare to testify that for him to live was christ, and in the end, he was punished by God. Therefore, the temptation of status is not small. If you only pursue status and not the truth, you will ruin yourself, and you may be punished! If you see through this matter, will you still be infatuated with the temporary enjoyment that status brings you? (No.) Remember, indulging in the benefits of status is not a good thing, and if you do not repent for doing so, a great disaster will befall you!
Question 10: In our duties, when our personal interests conflict with the interests of God’s house, what should we do to let go of our personal interests, practice the truth, and satisfy God?
Answer: It is not easy for people to let go of their personal interests on their own. You must learn to pray and ask God to give you the strength to rebel against the flesh. Praying to God is the most crucial thing. Some people say, “I have prayed, but it was useless. I didn’t hear God say anything. Even after I prayed, it was pretty much as if I hadn’t prayed at all. Maybe God did not hear my prayer.” Is this statement correct? (No.) If you think this way, you are gravely mistaken. Every time people pray and say something to God, God is listening and scrutinizing. He does not miss a single prayer. You must remember this! So why is it that sometimes you pray, but you do not feel God responding? Let me give you an example. It’s like a child playing in front of their parents. Sometimes when they call out “Mom” or “Dad,” their parents do not respond. Tell me, did their parents hear them? (Yes.) If they heard them, why did they not respond? Sometimes it is not necessary to respond, and sometimes a simple “Mm-hmm” is enough to let the child know that they have heard. In reality, the parents see that the child is playing and not in any danger, so they are at ease and do not respond to them. But the child’s parents are fully aware and still carefully observing the child, and when the child is in real danger, the parents will immediately pick them up and take care of them. This is the mentality of parents toward their children. God’s mentality toward His people is the same, but God’s heart is more meticulous than that of parents. God knows whenever you pray, and He knows everything you are doing at all times. He can even scrutinize your thoughts and ideas. This is more meticulous than the heart of parents. Therefore, if you want to let go of your personal interests and practice the truth, but your stature is too small and you cannot let go of these things, then you must pray to God more. When you pray that you may be able to rebel against the flesh and practice the truth, God sees that you have the resolve to let go of your personal interests, and that you love the truth and want to seek the truth, and He will move you and make your conscience work. If this does not achieve the desired effect and you still have not overcome the flesh, then continue to pray. God will use situations to enlighten and discipline you, allowing you to see God’s hand, to see that God is secretly scrutinizing and leading you to understand some truths from these situations and to have some strength to rebel against the flesh. The next time you encounter such a matter, you will be able to overcome it. Therefore, prayer is absolutely crucial. Praying represents that you are returning before God, that you are speaking your heart to God, that you yearn for God and the truth, that you sincerely want to rely on God to overcome the flesh, and that you sincerely want to cast off your corrupt disposition and practice the truth. Prayer represents this resolve of yours. When God scrutinizes your heart, He will act. It is just that God acts with principles, and He will not give you a very obvious feeling. It is enough to let you feel that God is secretly scrutinizing you. All who have a conscience and humanity can feel that God is by their side, scrutinizing them, and that He hears all their prayers. Though you may not feel it now, if you pray like this for a period of time, one day you will feel that God hears your prayers. God has a record of every prayer we make, and He remembers every word you have said. So, no matter what aspect of the truth you want to practice, just pray to God and rely on God, and God will surely guide you.
