How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (9)
Fellowship From the Brother Above – September 1, 2025 (Part Five)
I. Questions Regarding the Preaching of the Gospel
Question 1: When preaching the gospel, we testify to potential gospel recipients that God will express the truth upon His return, and that seeing the truth expressed by God is seeing God’s appearance. However, potential gospel recipients often cannot immediately process this and do not understand why seeing the truth expressed by God means seeing that God has returned. I’d like to ask: What key points should we grasp when testifying to God’s return? How can we talk about it to help potential gospel recipients better understand that God has returned?
Answer: When you preach the gospel and testify to God’s return, if potential gospel recipients cannot immediately process it, then you should not directly testify to them that God has returned. Most religious people are not people who watch and wait for God; they do not yearn for God’s return, nor do they have a heart that yearns for the truth. If you directly testify that God has returned, they will not be able to grasp it. Therefore, when you testify to God to such people, you must first pave the way. So how do you pave the way? You should say, “Look—now disasters are growing ever more serious. Is God not about to return soon?” You should first say this to make them realize that God is about to return soon. Then you can ask them, “So how do you think that God will return? How can people welcome God?” You should guide them to reflect in this way, and after that, you can testify that God has returned. You can say, “When the Lord returns in the last days, He will become incarnate as the Son of man. The Son of man comes to express the truth and save people. Therefore, God has said that the most important thing in welcoming the Lord is to listen for God’s voice. If you are one of God’s sheep, and you hear God’s voice and recognize that God’s words are the truth, then you can welcome God.” If you talk about it this way, it will be easy for them to understand. Therefore, before you testify to potential gospel recipients that God has returned, you must first pave the way. You must first guide them to realize that it is now the last days and that God is about to return soon. If they realize that God is about to return soon, they will withdraw their hearts from the world, and they will focus on pondering how God will come and how they should welcome Him. When their hearts begin to think about these things, and you then testify to them that God has returned, they will be able to grasp it; they will not be unable to process it. You must learn to pave the way first, and prepare all the guiding words before getting onto the main topic. This is like when people are dating. They must first chat with the other person, get to know their personal situation, and become familiar with each other. This is paving the way. Then, when they talk about the main topic, it will go smoothly, as a matter of course.
Question 2: When I testify to potential gospel recipients about the content of the seven volumes of The Word Appears in the Flesh, I feel that what I say does not arouse their interest. How can I talk about this content better?
Answer: To arouse the interest of potential gospel recipients, you must first know whether they truly yearn for the Lord’s return. If they do yearn for the Lord’s return, then you must consider what their caliber is like and whether they have comprehension ability. Everyone’s caliber is different, and you must treat them according to their caliber. If their caliber is average, then you should talk to them about some shallower things. For example, you can say, “Almighty God has come in the last days to express the truth, which fulfills the prophecy of the Lord Jesus: ‘When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth’ (John 16:13). So how do you view and treat this work that God is doing? God wants to express the truth and make a group of overcomers. If you never accept this God who expresses the truth, and insist on waiting for the day when God descends on a cloud, are you not missing your opportunity to welcome the Lord? So if you cannot welcome the Lord, what will your outcome be? If you do not accept the truths expressed by God in the last days and do not have the truth as your life, your name will not be recorded in the book of life. Then, even if you see God descending on a cloud, you will not be qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven, and then you will be eliminated and punished. Do you want to enter God’s kingdom, or do you just want to see the God who descends on a cloud?” If you say this, people of average caliber will be able to understand, and they will be able to attach importance to what you are fellowshipping. In preaching the gospel, you must know how to guide people. You must see which topic the potential gospel recipient is interested in, ponder when the best moment to segue into your main topic is, and then guide them step by step to become interested in what you are fellowshipping, and finally be able to accept God’s return. At this time, if you then testify to them that God has returned and testify to the truths God has expressed, it will be easy for them to accept. If they cannot accept the Lord’s return, you should first base your discussions on the Bible and gradually guide them to accept it. Do not directly testify to them about God’s work in the last days and the truths He has expressed. If you directly testify about this without consideration of the potential gospel recipient’s caliber or whether they have comprehension ability, it will not be easy to achieve results.
Question 3: When we preach the gospel to Catholics, they are always unclear about the difference between The Church of Almighty God and Catholicism. When fellowshipping on this topic, what key points do we need to grasp? How can we fellowship more clearly?
Answer: When preaching the gospel to Catholics, you must know one thing: Catholics do not understand the Bible, because ordinary Catholic believers do not read the Bible. Only believers at the level of priests and bishops read the Bible, but if they are not people who pursue the truth, their reading of the Bible is also very limited. Therefore, Catholics do not understand what the various denominations are or how they came into being. So when you preach the gospel to Catholics, you have to say a lot, and you also have to know how to pave the way. For example, you can first ask them, “How many denominations affirm belief in the true God?” If they say, “Only our Catholic Church affirms belief in the true God; other denominations do not,” then you should say, “That’s not right. The Catholic Church is not the only denomination that affirms belief in the true God. Protestants also believe in the Lord Jesus, and the Eastern Orthodox Church also affirms belief in the Lord Jesus. And although Jews do not believe in the Lord Jesus, they believe in Jehovah God, which is also believing in the only true God. The Church of Almighty God also affirms belief in the only true God—it’s just that The Church of Almighty God is a church produced by God’s appearance and work in the last days. Protestantism and Catholicism are denominations produced by God’s work of redemption, and Judaism is a religion produced by God’s work in the Age of Law.” You should first teach them this common knowledge, and then testify to God to them, and tell them how to welcome the Lord. Then it will be easy for them to understand. If you do not teach them this common knowledge, and instead directly testify about The Church of Almighty God, they will not know what is going on and will be at a loss.
Question 4: In the early stages of preaching the gospel, we fellowshipped some important truths with potential gospel recipients, such as the work of judgment and the incarnation, and we also dissected some negative propaganda. At the time, they could accept it all, but in the end, when we testified to them about the name of Almighty God, some people still believed the negative propaganda and started ignoring us. I would like to seek how to fellowship in order to resolve this problem.
Answer: You fellowshipped so many truths in the early stages, and although they could accept them when they heard them at the time, they denied them after hearing the negative propaganda. In their hearts, these truths could not even withstand the effect of one word of negative propaganda. Is negative propaganda the truth? (No.) Negative propaganda is devilish words spoken by Satan to mislead people, but after hearing the negative propaganda, they denied all the truths. What is the problem here? To put it bluntly, such people are scoundrels. If you encounter such people when preaching the gospel, have you not encountered scoundrels? (Yes, we have.) You must see through to the essence of this problem. So, tell me, how can you fellowship with this kind of person to make them accept the truth and help them be saved? (Such people should be given up on. They are muddleheaded people. No matter what you fellowship with them, they will not accept it.) Even if you convert such a person, and they seem to accept it at the time, will they be able to pursue the truth? (No.) So do you think it’s a shame that these people withdraw and stop believing after hearing the negative propaganda? (No.) So is this problem easy to solve? (Yes.)
Question 5: When we testify that God has returned, some potential gospel recipients go and ask their pastors. The pastors spread some negative propaganda to them, and they stop investigating. How should we fellowship with potential gospel recipients to make them immune to the negative propaganda spread by pastors?
Answer: Have you fellowshipped clearly on the truths that should be fellowshipped? If you have truly fellowshipped clearly on all the truths in the early stages and given them a preventative inoculation, but they still go and ask their pastors, what is the problem here? It is that you have encountered another scoundrel. So, is it a pity that these people withdraw after hearing their pastors’ negative propaganda? It is not a pity! If you had not given them a preventative inoculation and they were taken in by the negative propaganda and withdrew, that would be quite a pity. But if you have given them a preventative inoculation and they still go and ask their pastors about it, and as a result, they are exposed to negative propaganda and withdraw, then it is not a pity. We have fellowshipped clearly on all the truths, so our conscience will be at peace. If they withdraw, it is because there are no blessings in store for them. Can we say this? (Yes.)
Question 6: Some potential gospel recipients, based on the words the Lord Jesus spoke to Thomas in John 20:27: “Reach here your finger, and behold My hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into My side,” believe that Thomas could touch the body of the Lord Jesus after His resurrection from the dead, which shows that a spiritual body can also be touched. They do not understand the difference between the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus after His resurrection from the dead and the incarnate flesh, so they cannot accept the fact that God will become incarnate again. Please fellowship on the truth in this aspect.
Answer: The incarnation refers to God putting on a fleshly body with normal humanity. Although the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus after His resurrection from the dead also had human reason when He spoke, there is still a clear difference between a spiritual body and a fleshly body. A fleshly body has normal humanity and so is subject to the limitations of this material world. A fleshly body cannot pass through walls or doors, but a spiritual body can. A spiritual body is not limited by time, space, or the material environment; it can go through walls to appear directly before people. But is it convenient for a spiritual body to interact with people? Can people grasp what a spiritual body says? (No.) God incarnate is different. The incarnate God can speak to people in human language, express the truth to provide for and shepherd them, and can also use many examples and parables, speaking in great detail to help people better understand the truth. Moreover, He can speak continuously and repeatedly, until people can hear and understand clearly. Because corrupt humankind is too numb and dull-witted, and cannot grasp the truth, the only appropriate way for God to speak to and interact with corrupt humankind is by becoming incarnate; only then can humankind understand the truth. In addition, when corrupt mankind speaks, they speak from their human thoughts and imaginings, and they are also controlled by their corrupt dispositions. Therefore, it is not easy for them to accept the truth, and so when such people interact with God, there will always be rebellion and resistance, and they will always disrupt and disturb God’s work. If such corrupt mankind were to come into contact with God’s spiritual body, they would be in danger of being struck down. But if people are in contact with the incarnate God, there is no such danger. The incarnate God has normal humanity. As long as you do not intentionally resist God or deliberately undermine the work of God’s house, and your problems are not that serious, God will be tolerant and forbearing with you. There is a clear difference in this aspect between a spiritual body and the incarnation. Religious people believe that the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus after His resurrection from the dead was the same as the incarnate flesh, that people could see and touch it, and that it also spoke and ate with people. But does this mean that a spiritual body is a fleshly body with normal humanity? It does not. So what does this potential gospel recipient mean by saying this? It is, “Since God’s spiritual body can also be touched by people, and can also eat and speak like a normal person, why does God still need to become incarnate as an ordinary person to do His work? Couldn’t the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus after His resurrection from the dead just come directly and do the work?” This is what they mean. It is to deny this incarnation of God, to deny this complete fleshly body with normal humanity. So is their denial based on anything? It is not. Because the Lord Jesus appeared to Thomas after His resurrection from the dead and let him touch His nail marks, they believe that God’s spiritual body is the same as His flesh. This is their notion and imagining. There are many differences between a spiritual body and a fleshly body. A spiritual body can come and go as it pleases, and can pass through walls. Can a fleshly body do that? (No.) So how can you, based on only those two sentences the Lord Jesus spoke to Thomas, determine that a spiritual body is the same as a fleshly body? This is completely wrong. God has repeatedly prophesied that it is the Son of man who will come in the last days. Since it is the Son of man who will come, it will not be a spiritual body. If the potential gospel recipient insists that it is a spiritual body that will come, and they do not accept the truth no matter how you fellowship on it, and they do not accept the words of Almighty God when you read them to them, this shows that they lack spiritual understanding and cannot understand God’s words. So how can we carry on preaching the gospel to such people? If they do not accept God’s words, and do not accept them no matter what is said, then it is impossible to preach to them. Now, some potential gospel recipients, after reading the words of Almighty God, begin to pass judgment: “These words are like the words of a person, the same as the words of an ordinary person, spoken in normal humanity. If they were truly God’s words, they should be like thunder in the sky, with a very loud voice that shakes everything around and can be heard from thousands of miles away.” They hold fast to this view and do not see that the essence of these words is the truth, that they cannot be expressed by any person, and that only God can express these truths. In that case, such a person is not one of God’s sheep. God’s sheep hear God’s voice. Those who do not hear God’s voice are not God’s sheep, so we do not need to preach to them.
Question 7: When we discuss God’s kingdom descending to earth, potential gospel recipients will ask, “Matthew 12:28 says: ‘If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come to you.’ And in Luke 17:20–21, the Lord Jesus said: ‘The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.’ Based on these verses, we see that the kingdom of God has already come. Why do you say that the kingdom of God is only coming now?” How should we answer this question?
Answer: The Lord Jesus’ words, “the kingdom of God is come to you,” are completely correct. Two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus came to earth, so at that time, the kingdom of God was on earth. But after the Lord Jesus finished the work of the Age of Grace, He returned to heaven. Was the kingdom of God still on earth then? It was not. Is that not the case? If the kingdom of God had already come, then how would the prophecy in the Book of Revelation that in the last days, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ,” be fulfilled? They use the words spoken by the Lord Jesus in the Age of Grace to replace the fact that the kingdom of God is realized on earth in the last days. This proves that they have not seen this matter clearly. The kingdom of God did indeed come to earth two thousand years ago. But after the Lord Jesus finished His work of redemption, He left and was no longer on earth, and so the kingdom of God was no longer on earth. In the last days, the Lord Jesus has come to earth again to express the truth. So has the kingdom of God not appeared on earth again? Is this not a fact accomplished by God? (It is.) The Lord Jesus said: “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). This means that the Lord will come again in the last days to express the truth. If people can accept this God who expresses the truth, then they will have welcomed the Lord. When people have entered into all the truths expressed by God and become people of one heart and mind with God, have the kingdoms of the earth not then become the kingdom of Christ? The kingdoms of the earth becoming the kingdom of Christ is the fact that will ultimately be accomplished by God’s work of judgment in the last days. People in the Age of Grace couldn’t see this fact. So tell me, is the current Church of Almighty God not the kingdom of God? This is the kingdom of God. The churches of Almighty God in all countries are all part of the kingdom of God. Some people say, “If The Church of Almighty God is the kingdom of God, then why do nonbelievers still exist now that the kingdom of God has appeared?” The appearance of The Church of Almighty God is the appearance of the kingdom of God on earth. This is a fact, but the existence of nonbelievers does not contradict this fact. Tell me, how much longer can the nonbelieving world exist? Do you know who the great catastrophes of the last days have been prepared for? They have been prepared for the kingdoms of Satan. God uses the great catastrophes to destroy the kingdoms of Satan and all hostile forces. When all hostile forces have been destroyed and the devils and Satan have completely perished, the kingdom of God will be completely realized on earth, and the people who survive will all be people of the kingdom of God. But some people do not understand this matter. They always want to argue and speak twisted reasoning, “You say that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and that Almighty God’s coming to do His work means that the kingdom of God has descended to earth. I do not acknowledge this.” In that case, you should ask them, “How will the prophecy in the Book of Revelation that ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ’ be fulfilled and accomplished?” They will not be able to answer. Tell me, what is God’s six-thousand-year management plan for? It is to save mankind, to save and perfect a group of people so they can be of one heart and mind with God, and then to establish God’s kingdom on earth, using this fact to defeat and destroy Satan. Then God’s great work will be accomplished, and the prophecies in the Book of Revelation will also be completely fulfilled. People have believed in the Lord in the religious world for many years, yet they do not know what God’s management plan is aiming to accomplish and fulfill. They still think that God finished His work and then left. They think that God’s work is so simple, but they truly do not understand any truth at all! Remember, God’s six-thousand-year management plan is to gain a group of people who are of one heart and mind with God. God wants to turn the kingdoms of the earth into the kingdom of Christ, the kingdom of God. This is the evidence that God’s management plan has been accomplished. If people believe in the Lord and still cannot see through to this fact, they are blind people, muddleheaded people.
Question 8: When we testify to Jews, we also read many of God’s words to them. After hearing them, they are able to acknowledge that these are God’s words, but when we testify that the Messiah has already come, they cannot understand. In the past, when we talked about this aspect with Christians, we would fellowship that God’s sheep hear God’s voice, and they would understand. But we do not know how to talk about it to Jews to help them better understand.
Answer: Do these Jews acknowledge that they are the sheep of Jehovah God? (They do.) If they acknowledge this, then this issue is easy to handle. You can say, “God’s sheep hear God’s voice. You are the sheep of Jehovah God, so you should also hear the voice of Jehovah God.” If these Jews do not acknowledge that all Jews are the sheep of Jehovah God, then we will not say this. We will say, “Are you a person chosen by God? If you say you are a person chosen by God, then can you hear God’s voice? Do you acknowledge that God will speak and express the truth again in the last days? Can you hear the words God will speak and the truths He will express in the last days? Those chosen by God can hear God’s voice. These people are those whom God has preordained to enter the kingdom of heaven in the last days.” You can also say it this way. If they are true believers, they should be able to acknowledge the fact that God will express the truth in the last days, because there are so many prophecies in the Old Testament about God speaking, doing the work of judgment, and refining and cleansing His chosen people in the last days. If they can acknowledge this fact, you can then read the words of Almighty God to them and ask them, “Would you say these words are spoken by the Spirit of Jehovah God? Do these words come from Jehovah God?” If they can acknowledge and accept that these are God’s words, then they are God’s sheep, and it will be easy for us to gain them. If they do not accept it, then there is nothing else that can be done; they lack spiritual understanding. Tell me, are there many Jews who have spiritual understanding? (No.) Are there many Christians who have spiritual understanding? (Not many either.) Why are there so few people who have spiritual understanding and so many who do not? What is going on here? What determines whether one has spiritual understanding or not? This is a matter you must see clearly. Those reincarnated from the spirits of true humans or angels all possess spiritual understanding; in contrast, those from the spirits of beasts or devils do not. Therefore, do not just look at a person’s appearance. Some people may look good and have a good presence, and their level of education may be high, but if they lack spiritual understanding, then it’s hard to say what kind of spirit this person is. We generally do not preach to people who lack spiritual understanding. If they truly yearn for the truth and can seek the truth, we can fellowship with them. If, no matter how you fellowship with them, they cannot understand, and they cannot hear and grasp the truth, then do not waste your efforts. Even if such a person comes to believe in God, they will not pursue the truth. Their caliber is not up to it; they cannot understand the truth. If their humanity is quite good and they are quite guileless, and are willing to labor, then at most they can become a laborer, but they cannot gain the truth.
