How to Pursue and Gain the Truth (9)

Fellowship From the Brother Above – September 1, 2025 (Part Six)

Question 9: Some potential gospel recipients believe that “Although we still sin, one day we will be changed when we dwell in Christ, because 2 Corinthians 3:18 says: ‘We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.’” Therefore, they feel they do not need to accept God’s work of judgment in the last days. How should we fellowship to resolve this issue?

Answer: The verse they quoted is from Paul. Can Paul’s words represent the Lord Jesus? (No.) So are Paul’s words credible? (No.) Paul’s words are inevitably mixed with human notions and imaginings; his words are not credible. Belief in God must be based on God’s words; this is the most crucial thing. So what did the Lord Jesus say about the work God will do in the last days? The Lord Jesus said: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth(John 16:12–13). What do these words of the Lord Jesus mean? In what context did the Lord speak these words? At that time, the Lord Jesus was about to be crucified and leave humankind. The disciples asked the Lord, “When will You come again? When You come again, can You take us into the kingdom?” The Lord Jesus then spoke these words to them. The meaning of these words is, “Now, there are some words that I cannot speak to you; if I spoke them to you, you would not be able to bear them. When the God who expresses the truth in the last days comes, He will guide you into all truth. When that day comes, if you accept God’s work and are cleansed, you will be blessed and can enter the kingdom of heaven. If you cannot accept the truths expressed by God in the last days, then you have believed in vain and will be eliminated.” The Lord Jesus was prophesying that He would come again in the last days to express the truth and save people. This is enough to prove that people in the Age of Grace had not yet attained salvation and still needed to accept all the truths expressed by God upon His return in the last days to attain salvation. This is the meaning of the Lord Jesus’ words. But Paul said: “We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD” (2 Corinthians 3:18). What does this mean? It means, “After we see the Lord Jesus transfigured and ascend to heaven, we can be changed into the Lord’s image,” as if people could suddenly be cleansed and changed into the Lord’s image. Is this in agreement with the Lord’s words? (No.) These words are inherently wrong. Only the Lord’s Spirit putting on a fleshly body is the Lord’s appearance. You are just a created human. Even if you see the Lord’s image, you cannot be changed into the Lord’s image. Paul’s words are clearly human notions and imaginings; they are too vague and not practical at all! The words spoken by the Lord Jesus are practical. The Lord’s meaning was to tell people, “After I leave, you must always be watchful. When the Lord returns, He will express all the truths and lead people into all truths. You must absolutely not miss it! This is the time that will determine whether you can be blessed. If you welcome this God who expresses the truth, you can be blessed and enter the kingdom of heaven. If you cannot welcome Him, then you will be eliminated.” The Lord Jesus’ words are so practical; they point out the path to entering the kingdom of heaven. It is just that the Lord Jesus was wise in what He chose to say at that time and did not say everything completely, because people could not bear it. Now that we have accepted Almighty God and have eaten and drunk the truths expressed by God in the last days, we understand the meaning of the Lord Jesus’ words. In short, no matter how great your renown or how deep your biblical knowledge, and no matter how well you can explain the Bible, when this ordinary Son of man—Almighty God—comes and expresses all truths, you will be eliminated if you do not accept them. If the entire religious world does not accept them, then the entire religious world will be condemned and destroyed. Just as it is said in the administrative decrees of the kingdom issued by God: “Of the human beings within the universe, all those who are of devils will be annihilated. All who worship Satan will fall down amid My burning fire—that is, except for those now within the stream, all will be turned to ashes(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. God’s Words to the Entire Universe, Chapter 26). This is the end of those who do not accept the truth. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, Paul telling people to wait until one day they are changed into the Lord’s image is purely a daydream; it is too absurd! If people blindly believe Paul’s words and do not accept all the truths expressed by Almighty God in the last days, then they are too foolish; they will have ruined themselves.

Question 10: Some people are quite suited to finding potential gospel recipients in churches of the religious world, but they are not willing to go. The reason is that after accepting God’s new work, they feel a barrier between them and religious people and feel that religious people are very stubborn. We have fellowshipped on this issue, but it has not achieved results. We do not know how to fellowship to solve it.

Answer: I have heard before that many people who have just accepted Almighty God still persist in attending gatherings in the religious world, and only come to our church for gatherings in their spare time. They feel that the people in the religious world are very loving, and they are reluctant to leave. I say this situation is very normal. They have attended gatherings in the religious world for many years and have emotional ties with the people there. It is totally normal to be reluctant to leave. When they have understood some truths, they will no longer share a common language with the people in the religious world, and after speaking just a few words with them, their viewpoints will conflict. Then, they will not go to the religious world for gatherings even if you ask them to. This was the situation of many newcomers in the past; they were not willing to leave the religious world. So why are the viewpoints of these people different now? Why are they not willing to go to churches to preach the gospel now? What is going on here? (They have understood the truth and have some discernment of religious people.) This is because they have understood the truth. When people understand the truth, everything changes. Not only do they no longer share a common language with religious people, but they have also seen through to their essence: They have seen through to the fact that these people are thoroughly stubborn and do not accept the truth, and seen through to the fact that their love is all hypocritical. These people are not worthy of our love. Not only that, when people understand the truth, they no longer share a common language with their nonbelieving relatives at home. The more people understand the truth, the more they feel they share no common language with their nonbelieving parents, children, and husbands (or wives), and their emotional ties to them also grow weaker and weaker, and they no longer love them as much as before. So who are most of God’s chosen people close to now? They are close to God, to the true brothers and sisters in God’s house, and to those who can fellowship on the truth. They can no longer be close to nonbelievers or people in the religious world. You see, how great the change produced by understanding the truth is! So tell me, can the truth change everything about a person? (It can.) The truth can change everything about a person. Therefore, no matter what the problem is, it must be solved by fellowshipping on the truth. If you fellowship clearly on the significance of preaching the gospel, and they understand this aspect of the truth, will they still have difficulties in going to churches to preach the gospel? There will be no difficulties; they will go and preach on their own initiative. Is that not so? (Yes.) In the past, people often said, “Ah, it is too difficult to submit to God, and it is even more difficult to love God, more difficult than ascending to heaven!” Now that they understand many truths, they feel that submitting to God is easy, loving God is also easy, and practicing every aspect of the truth is easy. This is the truth being able to change everything! In the past, religious people all worshiped Paul, and even kept Paul’s words as if they were the Lord’s words. It is clear that Paul’s status in people’s hearts was equivalent to that of the Lord Jesus on earth. But when one day they truly understand the truth, will they still worship Paul in this way? (No.) When people truly understand the truth and look at the words in Paul’s epistles again, they will feel that there are too many distorted words, too many notions and imaginings, too many false and empty words, and no truth reality. So how do people achieve this knowledge? It is because they have understood the truth, and their viewpoints on things have changed. Is that not the case? (Yes.) The truth can change everything. The truth is authority, and it represents God’s authority. Understanding the truth can solve all difficulties and problems, and give one the ability to follow God’s will and the strength to complete God’s commission. If people do not understand the truth, they cannot achieve anything.

II. Questions Regarding Life Entry

Question 11: How should we treat brothers and sisters who are quite gifted but not very accepting of the truth?

Answer: Does the fact that they are not very accepting of the truth now mean that they will not accept it in the future? (No.) Does the fact that they are not very accepting of the truth prove that they are averse to and hate the truth? (No.) So tell me, should we not help and support those who are not very accepting of the truth with a loving heart? (We should.) If you can characterize them as people who are averse to and hate the truth, then is there still a need to treat them with a loving heart? (No.) Why not? (People who are averse to and hate the truth do not accept the truth at all. No matter how much we help them with a loving heart, it will not achieve any results.) They are averse to the truth, so no matter how much love and patience you show them, it will not achieve any results. It would be a futile effort, a waste of time.

Question 12: After listening to God’s fellowship, I know that whether a person can be saved mainly depends on whether they have the truth reality. But I am still often satisfied with just doing the work. If the results of my duty are acceptable, then I bear no burden in pursuing the truth. How can this state be resolved? How can I achieve pursuing the truth no matter what the circumstances?

Answer: If people have knowledge and experience of the truth, their hearts will yearn for and treasure the truth even more, because they have seen that the truth is so practical, so worthy of love, and so precious—only the truth can save people, only the truth can be people’s life, only the truth is everything to people, and only the truth can make people live out a human likeness. If people do not have the truth, it is as if they have no life. If people do not gain the truth, they will forever be beasts, devils. If you have knowledge of the truth to this extent, would you still worry that you cannot pursue the truth? These problems will all be resolved. You see, what is the effect achieved by God leading people into the truth reality? It is that people truly live in the truth and in the light. If you live in human practices, are you living in the light? Human practices do not represent the truth. If you live in human practices, you are not living in God’s light. If you constantly try to delight God and win His approval through human practices, would you be able to achieve these things? (No.) You see, among corrupt mankind, Paul’s knowledge was the highest. Of course, in all denominations, there are some high-level intellectuals. These intellectuals have higher gifts and better caliber than ordinary people, but does God approve of them? (No.) Why does God not approve of them? (They are people without the truth and without life.) Are they living in the light in everything they do? (No.) So where do they live? (Under Satan’s power.) Living under Satan’s power is living in darkness. People who live in darkness are forces hostile to God, and God does not save them. So what is the path to living in the light? Pursuing the truth and gaining the truth. When you have gained the truth, your every word and action will be in accordance with the truth. The truth is light. If all you do is in accordance with the truth, and you can live by the truth, then you are living in the light, without any darkness. Now, God is leading us into all truths. The ultimate effect this will achieve is to make us live completely in the light. When people live in the light, their corruption is cleansed, and there is no filth in them. Is this not the most glorious thing? (Yes.) Gaining the truth is the most glorious thing. Gaining the truth means you have lived out the most meaningful life. If people do not gain the truth, then they will still be of Satan, they will still live in corruption and darkness, and their final outcome will still be destruction. Can you now see through to how great and deep the value and significance of gaining the truth is? You see, what was Job’s pursuit in life? His pursuit in life, what he gained, and what he understood can be summarized in one sentence: “Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah” (Job 1:21). This sentence proves that Job had knowledge of God’s sovereignty. Although there were also deficiencies in his knowledge, he was the best person in the Age of Law. So who was the best person in the Age of Grace? It was Peter. Why do I say Peter was the best? He gained some truths and could speak words that bore witness to God: He was the best person of that age. You see, the famous and great people in this world are all of the world, of the devil Satan. No matter how great their knowledge is, they are members of corrupt humankind living in darkness. The roles they play are all the roles of the devil Satan, the roles of resisting God. Their final outcome shall be destruction and punishment. Do you understand? (Yes.) Only those who have gained the truth can gain eternal life. Gaining eternal life means that you will live in the light in the future. The more truths you understand, the more you will live in the light. The fewer truths you understand, the more you will live in darkness. If your state is one of complete darkness, and you are completely shrouded, bound, and controlled by your negative state, then you will be completely eliminated. If your state is one of living in the light, then things will be different. You will be completely in a positive state, completely in a proactive and uplifting state, completely in a state that conforms to the truth. Inside, you will completely be in a state of being close to God, submitting to God, and loving God. Then you can be saved.

Question 13: I often reveal a negative and irresponsible attitude when I encounter difficulties in doing my duty. For example, I know I should fellowship more with leaders and workers to help them solve difficulties in their work, but after I take the initiative to open up and communicate with them, they often don’t open up much. After encountering this situation a few times, I become somewhat negative and am not as willing to proactively seek them out for fellowship. How can this state be resolved?

Answer: When you encounter difficulties, you become discouraged and negative, and you dare not face reality. Is this state correct? (No.) Practicing the truth inherently has its difficulties. What aspects are these difficulties in? One aspect is one’s own difficulties, that is, the hindrances and bondage of one’s own corrupt disposition. Another aspect is the difficulties of the surrounding environment and various people, events, and things—that is, being limited by the external circumstances. When people experience difficulties in these two aspects, practicing the truth becomes even more difficult for them. You want to help your brothers and sisters, but they do not open up in fellowship with you. Can you then move and change them? You must have this kind of mentality: “You are not opening up in fellowship, but I will open up in fellowship with you. You cannot accept the truth, but I will help you, support you, and move and change you. I will fellowship on the truth with you to help you accept the truth.” If they are a person who pursues the truth, then sooner or later they will surely be able to open up to you about their difficulties. If they do not love the truth, then no matter how you try to move and change them, they will not accept it. Then you should be a bit wise in your interactions with them. Tell me, should you not practice in this way? (We should.) You have experienced God’s work for more than ten years, and experienced much judgment, chastisement, and pruning; only then did you gain some stature and become able to practice some truths. They have only believed for three to five years. When they encounter judgment, chastisement, and pruning, they are prone to becoming negative, and sometimes they are controlled by their corrupt disposition and cannot practice the truth. Isn’t this a very normal thing? You must be forbearing, and show more tolerance and patience. Look at how they are weak now and cannot practice the truth, and then think about how you were not as good as them when you had believed in God for three to five years. They have their strengths; it is just that their stature is too small right now and they have actual difficulties, so they cannot practice the truth for the time being. You must be considerate of their weaknesses and be forbearing with a loving heart. If you help them more and fellowship the truth with them, you will gradually be able to achieve results. If you see that others do not practice the truth and you say, “Anyway, I have fellowshipped with you. If you do not practice, that’s your own business. In the end, if you are eliminated, it will have nothing to do with me,” and you give up on them, are you not lacking a loving heart? So how will God look at you? God will view you as being a person who doesn’t practice the truth. Look at how I do my work. When I see some people in the church having various difficulties in doing their duty, how do I practice? I ponder how to help them and how to guide them. I have people collect their difficulties, and I hold gatherings to fellowship and solve them. After I fellowship for a period of time, some people’s problems are solved, and some people’s problems are not. So how should I approach this? If I also become discouraged and impatient, and say, “I will not do it anymore. I have fellowshipped with you, but you do not accept it. It is not my fault. If you do not practice the truth, then it will have nothing to do with me when you are punished,” is it okay for me to have this attitude? (No.) This is not fulfilling my responsibility; it is not being devoted to God’s commission. No matter what problems exist in which church, and whether it is the people who preach the gospel who have problems or the leaders and workers who have problems, I help them with a great loving heart. If fellowshipping once is not enough, I will fellowship twice, three times, four times, and keep fellowshipping until the problems are solved. In performing your duty and doing the work, you must have this resolve and practice in this way: You must not rest until the problem is solved. This is called devotion. Those who feel self-satisfied after doing a little work and holding one gathering to fellowship some truth, who think the problem is solved and so stop working—are they devoted? Are they people who follow God’s will? (No.) You are not devoted, and much less are you following God’s will. You have only fellowshipped once or twice, and in fact, you have not achieved good results, nor have you solved any problems. Even if you have solved some things, they are only a very small part of the issue. In this situation, it is not okay for you to stop working! You cannot give up halfway in your work. This is like parents raising children. If parents only raise their children until they are three or five years old and then stop caring for them, stop giving them food, and let them fend for themselves, and as a result, the children starve to death after a few days, whose responsibility is this? This is the parents’ dereliction of responsibility. You must at least raise your children until they are adults and can support themselves independently. Only then is your responsibility fulfilled as a parent. It is the same in doing your duty. You must fully resolve the problems of your brothers and sisters and complete your commission, not stopping until God is satisfied. If you have not achieved such results, you must not stop your duty whenever you feel like it!

Question 14: Recently, my brothers and sisters have often sought help from me. Although I enjoy communicating and sharing God’s words with them, in the process, without really realizing it, I become a bit self-righteous. I always feel that I’m better than others, and I’m prone to revealing an arrogant disposition. I’d like to seek how I can know and change this disposition. What aspect of the truth should I enter into so that I’m not affected by my arrogant disposition while helping my brothers and sisters?

Answer: The fact that you can see that you’re a bit self-righteous shows you have some self-knowledge. In that case, think about it: You feel you’re better than others, but in what way are you better? If you have more gifts than others or are more eloquent, does this count as being better than others? (No.) If you possess more knowledge than others, does this count as being better? (No.) So what does it truly mean to be better than others? It’s about who can practice the truth, who knows God best, who can complete God’s commission, and who can bear a resounding testimony for God. Compare yourself to others in these aspects and see if you are better than them. If you are better than them in these aspects, then you genuinely have something real. If you are not better than them but are still arrogant and self-righteous, then this will be troublesome. What are the consequences of people constantly being arrogant and self-righteous? The first consequence is that it makes people think highly of themselves and belittle others. The second consequence is being unwilling to cooperate with anyone, always feeling that no one else is as good as them. The third consequence is wanting to decide everything alone, without wanting to seek or fellowship with anyone. Additionally, the most serious consequence of arrogance and self-righteousness is that after doing a little work, people will stop having any regard for God and will lose their God-fearing heart. They will start to go their own way and be arbitrary and reckless, which can lead them onto the path of antichrists. Isn’t this very dangerous? Tell me, what disposition was the main cause of Paul walking the path of an antichrist? The main cause was an arrogant and conceited disposition. Paul thought too highly of himself. He always looked down on Peter. When he saw the Lord Jesus entrust the shepherding of the church to Peter, he was extremely dissatisfied in his heart, and constantly judged and belittled Peter behind his back. And that’s not all—he also openly exposed Peter in his epistles. Tell me, wasn’t Paul’s character extremely lowly and vile? His character was not good. He was a petty person, not a gentleman. This was a problem with Paul’s character. So what was his disposition like? In his heart, he yielded to nobody, and he even had no regard for the Lord Jesus. In his epistles, he only ever proclaimed his own words, never propagating any of the words spoken by the Lord Jesus. He did not propagate or testify to a single word spoken by the Lord Jesus; he believed that the Lord Jesus was not the truth, the way, and the life, but that only he himself was the truth, the way, and the life. Tell me, just how arrogant was this guy? His arrogance was boundless! Isn’t this a devilish disposition? (Yes.) Therefore, if you have this corrupt disposition of arrogance and self-righteousness and do not resolve it in time, it is very dangerous!
