413 Believers Must Follow Closely God’s Footsteps

Intro

Since man believes in God,

they must closely follow His footsteps.

Verse 1

The work of the Holy Spirit weeds out

those who slavishly follow doctrines.

In each period of time, God starts new work,

bringing a new beginning amongst man.

If man just abides by truths of one age

that “Jehovah is God” and “Jesus is Christ,”

then man will not keep up nor will ever gain

the work of the Holy Spirit.

Chorus

Since man believes in God,

they must closely follow His footsteps.

They should follow God step-by-step,

“follow the Lamb wherever He goes.”

Only these people seek the true way,

are the ones who know the Spirit’s work.

And only those who follow the Lamb

to the end gain the final blessing.

Verse 2

Those who don’t follow to the very end,

or keep up with the Holy Spirit’s work,

and who only cleave to the old work

have failed to achieve loyalty to God.

They have become those who oppose God

and who are rejected by the new age,

and they will all be punished in the end.

Could anyone be more pitiable?

Chorus

Since man believes in God,

they must closely follow His footsteps.

They should follow God step-by-step,

“follow the Lamb wherever He goes.”

Only these people seek the true way

are the ones who know the Spirit’s work.

And only those who follow the Lamb

to the end gain the final blessing.

Bridge

As those who slavishly cling to the law

display more loyalty to the law,

the more they are rebels opposing God.

Verse 3

For now’s the Age of Kingdom, not of Law.

The work of today cannot be held up

against all the work that was done before;

past work cannot compare to today’s work.

God’s work has changed, and so has man’s practice;

it’s not to keep the law or bear the cross.

So people’s loyalty toward the law and the cross

will not gain God’s approval.

Chorus

Since man believes in God,

they must closely follow His footsteps.

They should follow God step-by-step,

“follow the Lamb wherever He goes.”

Only these people seek the true way

are the ones who know the Spirit’s work.

And only those who follow the Lamb

to the end gain the final blessing.
