809 How to Walk Peter’s Path

Chorus

Taking Peter’s path is to take the path

of pursuing the truth.

It is also the path to truly know oneself

and to change one’s disposition.

Verse 1

Only Peter’s way leads to God’s perfection.

Know how to take it and put it into practice.

First, put aside your intentions, family,

improper pursuits, things of your own flesh,

fully devote to the word of God,

eat and drink His word, search for His will and truth.

Chorus

Taking Peter’s path is to take the path

of pursuing the truth.

It is also the path to truly know oneself

and to change one’s disposition.

Verse 2

Yes, this is the practice most fundamental and critical.

It’s what Peter did after seeing Jesus.

Practicing this way gives the best results.

Bridge 1

Wholehearted devotion to the words of God

means to seek the truth,

seek God’s intention within all His words,

focus on grasping God’s will, focus on understanding

and obtaining more truth from the words of God.

Chorus

Taking Peter’s path is to take the path

of pursuing the truth.

It is also the path to truly know oneself

and to change one’s disposition.

Verse 3

When reading His words, Peter didn’t try to

understand doctrines or get theological knowledge.

His focus was on truth, on knowing God’s will,

His disposition and His loveliness.

Chorus

Taking Peter’s path is to take the path

of pursuing the truth.

It is also the path to truly know oneself

and to change one’s disposition.

Bridge 2

He also tried to understand through the words of God

the corrupt states, nature, shortcomings of man,

achieving all aspects of the demands God makes to satisfy Him.

He had many correct practices within the words of God.

He was true to God’s will. This is man’s best cooperation.

Chorus

Taking Peter’s path is to take the path

of pursuing the truth.

It is also the path to truly know oneself

and to change one’s disposition.
