163 Together Through the Wind and Rain Loyalty Unto Death
1 You came from heaven to earth, hidden in the flesh. You work among man, and have braved many years of storms. Walking along a bumpy road, You have ushered in a new era. You expressed the truth to judge, thoroughly saving all mankind. For many years You have endured adversity, and suffered the pain of man’s rejection. Humble and hidden, You have endured until today.
2 I experience the pain of judgment, and much is the torment in my heart. Chastened and disciplined, I hover between life and death. Recalling Your care, I adore You even more. Looking to the past, my heart is filled with remorse. After so many trials and refinement, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, I’ll be loyal unto death.
3 You show Your compassion, sympathizing with my weakness. You show Your wrath, cursing my disobedience. Your compassion stretches wide, Your anger deep. I behold Your majesty and appreciate Your wisdom. After so much pruning and dealing, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, I’ll be loyal unto death.
4 You speak and work, bestow life upon mankind. Through pain and refinement, my corruption is cleansed. I have tasted Your work, and felt Your kindness. Recalling bitterness and sweetness, sorrow and joy are woven together. After so many hardships and trials, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, I’ll be loyal unto death.
5 To sacrifice myself for Your will is my wish. In the face of trials, my resolve stands firm. My love for You grows deeper, I find sweetness in pain. With Your words as company, my life is filled with light. After being struck and broken so many times, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, I’ll be loyal unto death.
6 I shoulder great burdens, unwilling to delay any further. My stature is so small, yet I receive Your love. I bear Your commission and my life is made complete. I will fulfill Your will and live out real human life. Years of wind and rain, a life’s road full of tumult. Be it bitterness, joy, or death, I am without complaint. Through years of wind and rain, Your love has been with me as I go onwards. I will be loyal to You, and die without regrets.
