109 The Life of a New Man

Verse 1

We hear God’s voice; we’re raised before Him.

Through His words our minds become clear.

Our notions, our misconceptions gone,

we clearly see the practical God.

A new life, doing duties by truth.

Blessed, as we love and help each other.

We accept God’s searching, offer our hearts,

honest and fearing Him, through His will.

Chorus

We practice God’s words;

we gain life, living in light.

Faithful in our duty, joy in our hearts!

Obeying God’s arrangements,

we behold His wonder.

Love for God fills us with joy,

and we live as new people.

Verse 2

Serving by the principles of truth.

Loving Him, mindful of His will.

Living out God’s words, we are free.

Seeking truth to know Him, we gain His approval.

The more we accept God’s judgment,

the more we feel His loveliness.

Corrupt disposition’s cleansed,

we can’t love God enough.

Having the truth as our life,

we gain human likeness.

Gaining truth’s not easy,

but after pain comes sweetness.

Chorus

We practice God’s words;

we gain life, living in light.

Faithful in our duty, joy in our hearts!

Obeying God’s arrangements,

we behold His wonder.

Love for God fills us with joy,

and we live as new people.

Bridge

Bearing witness through trials,

we are Christ’s good soldiers.

Suffering for gaining truth,

we live lives of meaning.

Suffering and refinement

perfect the righteous.

We follow and testify God,

living the true life of man.

Chorus

We practice God’s words;

we gain life, living in light.

Faithful in our duty, joy in our hearts!

Obeying God’s arrangements,

we behold His wonder.

Love for God fills us with joy,

and we live as new people.
